01:00And a stoppage with 9.03 to go in the second period.
01:04We're in Las Vegas where the locals are hoping the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup for the second time
01:11in their nine-year history.
01:17There are so many moments that I was in the kitchen with my mom, living with my dad, talking about
01:22winning the Stanley Cup, holding it over her head.
01:24The Stanley Cup isn't just a trophy. It's everything.
01:31And a remarkable postseason in his first year in Vegas for Mitch Marner, leading all scores in these playoffs with
01:3829 points.
01:39The team record by 3 over Jack Eichel's 26 when they won the Cup in 2023.
01:44It's also the most points ever in his first year in the playoffs with a new team.
01:49Frank Mahavich, 27 when he got to Montreal.
01:54And now eight points in the first four games of this Stanley Cup final.
01:59Matching Mikko Rantanen for the most in the first four games of a Stanley Cup final in the last 30
02:07years.
02:08Brandon had eight for Colorado in the first four games against Tampa Bay back in 2022.
02:15Other than that, he hasn't done anything.
02:17Yeah, we'll ask Brett Houghton how he's done.
02:19Houghton's leading the playoffs in goals with 13 and the three shorthanded goals.
02:24And Marner's a huge part of that.
02:25It's one of the things a player like Marner can be is such a facilitator that he makes other people
02:31so much more dangerous.
02:32He's assisted with Marner on all three of Houghton's shorthanded goals in these playoffs.
02:41Game has settled in a little bit.
02:43It's three to two still in favor of Carolina.
02:45They have not trailed tonight after leading two to nothing and three to one.
02:50Heavy collision in front of the bench at a penalty as Dowd and Stankovic went down.
02:58Dowd cross-checked Stankovic right across the side of the helmet.
03:02But this is a difficult play because Stankovic is much smaller and he's low to the ice as he's going
03:08to protect the puck.
03:10Watch where Stankovic goes.
03:11He tries to go low to protect the puck.
03:14Very timely, number 26.
03:17Two minutes cross-checking.
03:18But the official that called the penalty, Garrett Rank, is down in the corner.
03:22And what he sees, and it's correct, is Dowd's stick gets high across the helmet of Stankovic, who's okay.
03:30But it'll be a Carolina power play, a two-minute cross-checking penalty.
03:35Four power play goals in the last two games in one period for this hurricane group.
03:43Stankovic, just 5'8", shortest player on either team.
03:46Dowd is 6'2".
03:49One for two on the power play tonight.
03:52You'll recall they didn't score a goal that came four seconds after an effective power play ended.
03:59So after almost a historically bad power play through a lot of these playoffs, which didn't stop them from winning,
04:06they have come to life now in the Stanley Cup final.
04:10And as usual, Jordan Stahl takes that opening face off for the power play.
04:16If he doesn't win it and they shoot it down the ice, he comes off and Nick Ehlers is on.
04:20There's Ehlers.
04:21Stahl is on the bench.
04:27Healers banks it back for Svechnikoff.
04:30Gostas bears the quarterback up high.
04:33Moved it back to Ehlers.
04:36Jarvis.
04:38It's Smith and Sissons killing the penalty with Hannafin and Anderson.
04:44Trouble with the puck in the corner.
04:47Gostas bear wrists one off the arm of Hart up around the shoulder.
04:51Played to the wall by Sissons and swept out by Smith.
04:55Too much slow perimeter puck movement.
04:58They have not threatened the middle of the ice.
05:00That's an easy first minute for Vegas.
05:03Smith cleared four new penalty killers coming on for John Tortorella.
05:10Banked ahead for Blake who has a goal tonight.
05:12Gostas bear touched it in, hoping Hall would get there.
05:15But Theodore got there first in the 58-degree wedge all the way back to the Carolina end.
05:24Now the Keishan.
05:26Look out for Marner.
05:28Puck still free.
05:30And Ehlers has to come to the aid of the Keishan.
05:33In another sloppy play, Marner again, stopping the advance.
05:38They can't get past their own goal line.
05:42Blake with some speed.
05:4420 seconds on the power play.
05:466.45 second period.
05:49Vegas has outscored Carolina in these second periods in the series.
05:538-1 with the Carlson goal tonight.
05:57Hall back to the line.
05:59Ehlers off for Hall again.
06:01Tried to get to the dot.
06:03Stopped by the tandem of Stone and Theodore.
06:05Out of the box.
06:07Comes down.
06:08Back for Theodore.
06:09He had Stone all alone going to the net front.
06:11And a huge play by Ehlers to break it up.
06:13Then Stone center for Dow didn't connect.
06:17And Marner goes off after another productive effort.
06:21Here's Stone nicely to Eichel.
06:23Eichel.
06:24And winds up.
06:28Being held by Busse.
06:34Well defended by Carolina.
06:37Shopped the largest selection of Stanley Cup final apparel at NHL.

06:53Vegas has been the better, the aggressor of the two teams in this second period.
06:57Yet here they are.
06:58And this is why playing goals sometimes for Carolina is no picnic.
07:02Eight shots on goal here through 34 minutes.
07:05It's 3-2.
07:07Busse has to remain sharp, of course.
07:09But you're not getting a lot of action and focus can't waver.
07:14Stahls won six out of seven draws tonight.
07:16He wins another one.
07:20Martinuk sends it into the corner.
07:22Carrier will get there first.
07:24William Carrier.
07:25And now Martinuk.
07:29This is a doubled up line.
07:32Always use it after the penalty for him.
07:35The two big winners, Martinuk and Carrier, was stolen.
07:37Anderson, there's a penalty coming here against the Canes.
07:40Eichel sent it off the back of the net.
07:43And an interference call here against Carolina.
07:47Vegas is going to go to the power play, hoping to tie game four.
07:52Carolina 48 minor penalty interference.
07:57Martinuk to the box.
08:103-2 Carolina on top, trying to even this series at two wins apiece.
08:27Second power play to Vegas as they try to equal this game at three.
08:31It's a Jordan-Martinuk interference penalty.
08:34As Vegas is attacking out of the end zone, you'll see Martinuk try to slow up Jack Eichel.
08:40And he's got his stick across his waist for several strides.
08:45The call has made two things to look for on this Vegas power play.
08:49I'd like the quick shot before the Carolina pressure can engage.
08:52And if not, you'll see the bumper player up between the top of the circles.
08:56He's the open man.
08:580-1 tonight on the power play.
09:00The Golden Knights, 1-10 in the series.
09:03Stahl has broken his stick here.
09:05It's a big advantage now for Vegas.
09:09Hurdles in the bumper spot.
09:11Eichel up high for Marner.
09:13The five forward power play for Vegas.
09:17Eichel has seven power play assists in the playoffs.
09:20Only Lane Hudson has more.
09:23With nine.
09:24Stone for Eichel off his stick for a moment.
09:27Marner.
09:28Eichel.
09:29Hurdle gives it back quickly.
09:31Jankowski killing the penalty.
09:32Stahl still without a stick.
09:34Slavin and Chatfield on as well for Rod Brindamore.
09:37Here's Eichel.
09:38A little head fake and that's off the arm of Fussie.
09:41Eichel has one power play goal all year.
09:44Here's Marner.
09:46Stahl down on a knee.
09:49Eichel down low.
09:50Stone.
09:51Eichel.
09:52Down to a minute on the power play.
09:544-40 in the period.
09:56Marner to Eichel.
09:59Forced back a bit by Slavin.
10:02Stone behind the net.
10:03Shoved by Chatfield.
10:0648 on the power play.
10:08Dora Thea.
10:09For Hurdle.
10:10Now nobody in the bumper spot.
10:13Stone and Hurdle both go to the net front now.
10:17Marner sends it on net.
10:19Stopped by Brandon Bussey.
10:20And the rebound skated away and cleared by Jacob Slavin.
10:24Oh man.
10:25Mark Jankowski just came back to the bench.
10:27He went sorry to the bench because it was his clear that left him back in the zone.
10:32It didn't get out.
10:33And it really stressed those PK guys for another 30 seconds.
10:37They survived that entire time in their zone without Stahl in possession of a stick.
10:43They still have 12 seconds to kill on the Martin McPenally.
10:46A lot of that will come off as the clear went whistling by the head of Pavel Dorothea.
10:52Two shots on goal in the power play.
10:54A lot of ozone time.
10:55Here's Howden.
10:56That one slowed by Walker.
10:59Out of the box.
11:00Martin up.
11:02And Carolina called for icing of the power play.
11:07Had just run out for Vegas.
11:12Well second period's been a problem for Rod Brindamore and his hurricanes in this series.
11:17With the Carlson goal now it's 8-1 in favor of the Vegas Golden Knights.
11:23But helped largely by the four goals in that third period rally in game three.
11:28It's been advantage Carolina considerably so in the third period.
11:35Before this series started Vegas by a mile was the best team goal differential in the third period.
11:41You just never know.
11:43Ajo off the draw.
11:44Kept in.
11:46Barbashev got a blind backhand pass in the general direction of Howden.
11:51Scooped up by Carlson.
11:53Trying to spin away from Ajo.
11:55Good work by Ajo but he couldn't poke it out.
11:57Barbashev anticipated the play up the wall.
12:00And now Carlson back for Barbashev and Ajo took it away.
12:04They have some numbers as they exit their own zone.
12:08Ajo as Miller trailing goes for the shot reflected by Anderson.
12:13Retrieved by Jarvis.
12:14Blocked by Hannafin.
12:15Played ahead.
12:16Two Sissons by Carlson.
12:18Now Howden.
12:19Howden forehit.
12:20Score!
12:22Brett Howden has tied the game at three.
12:44Carolina has done this time and again.
12:46That's Sean Walker in the rush.
12:48He shoots it now.
12:50Now he's got to chase the play back.
12:51There's nobody else to defend.
12:54It's a two-on-one.
12:55And as Miller backs in,
12:57Walker can't get into the play.
13:00Howden toe-drag.
13:02And this goes over that right catching glove.
13:06Right by the ear of Brandon Busse.
13:09And the second period is good to Vegas again.
13:11It's 3-3.
13:17Incredible postseason for Howden.
13:19His 14th goal in the playoffs.
13:22Breaking Jonathan Marcheseau's record.
13:25From back in 2023 when he scored 13 on their way to the cup.
13:30And Taylor Hall's trying to take away the two-on-one.
13:33As he goes back with Sissons.
13:35And Miller ends up back a stride or so deep.
13:38That shot is perfect from Howden.
13:41And outside, they celebrate for a second time in 30 minutes.
13:46It's 3-3 here in Vegas.
13:48This series continues to hit all of the high notes.
13:52This has been a phenomenal three games and two periods so far.
13:56Well, in each of the first two games, the team that jumped ahead 2-0 lost the game.
14:01In game two, it was Howden who scored both goals to give them that advantage.
14:06Carolina rallied to win.
14:07Then in game three, Vegas led by four and wound up having to go to double overtime to win.
14:15The goal by Howden is the seventh game-tying goal for either team in this series.
14:22And we're only in the second period of game four.
14:25Here's Smith with numbers.
14:27Sissons didn't get a lot on it.
14:29Well defended by Carrier.
14:31Such a dependable player in all zones.
14:35William Carrier.
14:36Coghlan just pitched it back in.
14:40Howden is 14th from Sissons and Carlson.
14:44A two-point period for Carlson.
14:47That's 17-08.
14:49Carolina twice up by two goals, now in a 3-3 time.
14:53Man, the playoffs of Brett Howden's life.
14:56What a tremendous performance he continues to deliver for the Golden Knights.
15:01Here's Marner.
15:02Tried to spin.
15:03Got knocked down by Chatfield.
15:06He is so creative.
15:07And effective with the puck, Marner.
15:09Here's Blake's shot.
15:11Nice stop by Hart.
15:13Testing shot by Blake through the traffic.
15:16And now a whistle.
15:17Their bodies piled up by the goal.
15:24John Hebert, I believe, stopped the play.
15:26I don't know if the net came loose or if there's a penalty back there.
15:30Well, Jackson Blake had driven the net.
15:32And he ends up on top of Carter Hart.
15:34Braden McNabb ends up on top of Jackson Blake.
15:40And so both of them will go to the box.
15:43Goalie interference on Jackson Blake.
15:46Cross-checking on Braden McNabb.
15:48Cross-checking.
15:49Four on four.
15:53And we'll play four on four.
15:56As Blake runs right into Hart.
15:59And you see McNabb standing over top.
16:02This will be a good look at it here.
16:03There's the goalie interference.
16:06And here's the cross-check.
16:11His heart has to make the stop.
16:13He knows he's going to get clobbered most likely.
16:16You know, Ray looked on the first replay like Blake took a bit of a shot at him.
16:21But after you looked at more replays, he kind of lost his balance.
16:24I don't know it was as bad as it looked initially.
16:28But he can't touch the goal like he still can.
16:30It's a penalty.
16:32But I don't think it was a gratuitous shot.
16:35Although Tortorella doesn't like it.
16:38So they're off with a minute 30 to go in the period.
16:41And they'll play four side.
16:45Vegas tried to get Mitch Barner onto the ice here.
16:48But the change was late.
16:49So Carlson and Stone against Ajo and Jarvis will be your four forwards up front.
16:57This is a time for Jarvis and Ajo.
17:00They've got nothing done.
17:01Five on five.
17:02Maybe a four on four for Carolina.
17:06They've been passengers for the most part in this series.
17:09It's hard to imagine them coming back and winning the Stanley Cup unless they get more.
17:14From Ajo and fetch the coffee Jarvis.
17:17Here's Stone to take away one-timer shot wide by Carlson.
17:22Scaled hard around by Rasmus Anderson.
17:25Stone back for Carlson.
17:27Trying to move away from Slavin, one of the great defenders in hockey.
17:33Up high, Stone.
17:35They decide to regroup in this four on four with under a minute to go in the period.
17:40Stone for Anderson.
17:42Good catch of a hard pass.
17:43His shot stopped and smothered by Brandon Butsy.
17:47Ladies and gentlemen, Brian Butsy.
17:50Anderson coming alive a little bit here.
17:52He made a terrific play on the William Carlson goal earlier.
17:56He bunched this pass waist high from Mark Stone.
17:59He gets this on the net.
18:00A couple of shots for Anderson, an assist in the game.
18:04It's really been a struggle, I think, for him.
18:06He's a really good player and has not really settled into this series.
18:10Maybe game four is a turning point for him.
18:12He's a little bit left to go and Eichel dispatch from the faceoff.
18:31He's been very frustrated when he's been at the dot with Stahl.
18:50Субтитры создавал DimaTorzok
19:05the other part of me who shot it
19:06wide I go before checker forces
19:11DeAndre Miller back ten seconds
19:14in the period some room for
19:15Ehlers drop past Slavin on a
19:17stop by Hart rebound taken into
19:19the corner by Theodore almost
19:21had it taken back by Hall that's
19:23the end of period to how to score
19:28the game tire after William
19:31Carlson got them within a goal
19:35three three the score as we head
19:37for the third period here Steve
19:39Levy thank you Sean sets up what
19:42should be an outstanding third
19:43period and maybe even more than
19:45that back with Mark Messier PK
19:46Subban and Eric Johnson so clearly
19:50those two goal leads are not safe
19:52Carolina's had two of them and yet
19:54we're all even going to the third
19:55unbelievable game back and forth
19:57action you just can't you can't
19:59turn away from the screen for one
20:00second time you the unexpected is
20:02happening right now I think for
20:04for Carolina two great periods of
20:06hockey they got 12 shots they've
20:07allowed 12 shots on net three goals
20:10again they can't get frustrated
20:11because they're playing good hockey
20:12there but they got to get a safe to
20:13keep them in the game especially when
20:15they got the lead they haven't been
20:16able to do it so far we'll see what
20:17happens in the third we're already
20:19over you know that right yeah I mean it
20:23seems like no lead is safe no matter
20:25what in this game you go down three the
20:27other team can come back you go down
20:28two I mean this game you never know
20:30what it's going to give you in the
20:31Stanley Cup final this is an all-timer
20:33this is so much fun crazy let's see
20:36who's going to make the last save of
20:38the hockey game that might decide who
20:39wins the game we're on our way to the
20:42third tied at three but first a not so
20:45funny thing happened on the way to the
20:46Discover second intermission report
20:52by Geico on we go to the third period
20:55the game tied at three this entire series
20:58has been wild but particularly the third
21:00period game one it was the late game
21:03winner for Tomas Hurdle as Vegas rally
21:05from two nothing down early Mark Stone
21:08tied the game for Vegas late in game two
21:12but Seth Jarvis wanted an overtime with
21:15his game-winning goal and then on
21:18Saturday down four nothing Carolina scored
21:22four unanswered goals takes the game and a
21:24double overtime before Vegas prevailed so
21:27who knows what's going to happen tonight
21:28Ray but what do you think is most
21:30important as we head to the third period
21:31well I think the one thing that has
21:34become a deciding factor in the way
21:36these teams score is who exits the puck
21:38out of their zone with possession because
21:40they both get it out decently quickly
21:42but the teams that have struggled they
21:44just punt it out to center and then they
21:46get no attack forward that's happened
21:49to Carolina in second period it's happened
21:52quickly to Vegas in the third period of
21:55games in the last two third period Sean
21:57seven goals for Carolina and that is
22:02rare against the Vegas team that had been
22:04really good in the third period prior to the
22:08start of this series it'll be four on four to
22:11start the third period you joined us late it was
22:16there's another quick start for Carolina
22:17Stan Colvin and Blake gave them a two
22:19nothing lead stalls goal again put them
22:23back up by two but Carlson and Howden the
22:26only goals in the second period and it's
22:29tied at three with nineteen seconds
22:32remaining on the four on four that
22:33carries over from period two here's
22:37Noah Hannafin lost it off his stick on
22:40the new ice Walker took a hit and now
22:44here's Howden back for Marner out of the
22:49box come McNabb and Blake and the teams
22:51are at full strength now as Jackson
22:54Blake forced Shea Theodore back Theodore
22:58has it back from Lausanne indirect
22:59ahead to Barbashev Barbashev's been
23:04quiet as of Michael and Dorothea for
23:07Vegas and it's been a theme for a while
23:10now Aho Svechnikov Jarvis will they
23:15reemerge at some point
23:19Svechnikov's got just four shots in the
23:20series they need more from him
23:23Aho had two shots on goal through two
23:25periods they're both in the first three
23:27minutes shot on goal by stone hoping for a
23:29tip free puck when sliding out in front as
23:32Barbashev had a chance around the cage
23:36Stankovans across the line looking for
23:38help sends it harder off for Jarvis
23:42taken to the back wall by Dylan Coughlin and
23:45now McNabb there that's the cough tried to
23:48pry it free and he did but it slid right
23:51into Carter Hart's first chance of this
23:58third period is just going to be a
24:00lofting shot by Mark Stone he's waiting
24:02for Barbashev to get there and he's
24:04going to get a second opportunity at it
24:06Bussey makes that first stop but the
24:09puck's going to pop right out inside
24:12position for Barbashev and he's going to
24:15try and wrap this he can't get all the
24:16way around to the other side so now we
24:18got an offensive zone face off at any
24:20time Jordan stalls on the ice it becomes
24:22a scoring chance they're trying to set
24:25up a shot play watch Ehlers he's in the
24:28middle he comes over top and if Jordan
24:31Jordan Stahl can win this Ehlers
24:34becomes the shooter
24:35it's all seven out of ten tonight at the
24:38dot and he just got bounced by Trent
24:43Knorr so it's Hurdle and Jarvis
24:45controlled by Tomas Hurdle Theodore up
24:48the middle for Dorothea he scales it
24:51right in on this stop by Bussey tough
24:53angle shot by Sissons turned aside a
24:56penalty coming here and it's a
24:59tripping call against Carolina then
25:02Vegas is going to go a man up with a
25:04chance to take the lead on the power
25:07play for the first time tonight
25:37they've trailed or been tied all night
25:39here for Vegas they've come back from a 3-1
25:42deficit and now a chance to lead the
25:45slumbering power play one for its last
25:47eleven and it's Slavin sending it the
25:52length of the ice
25:55keep an eye on Dorothea he's their top
25:57shooter who's had a really quiet first
26:00three games in this playoffs final
26:02however he's been more active tonight
26:05he's had the puck on his stick a little
26:06more
26:08here's Eichel ran into his own man
26:12Marner
26:14almost gave Stahl a chance to break away
26:16Dorothea sent it around he had 20 power play goals in the regular season
26:20second of the NHL they try to center for him good sticks on defense for Carolina
26:25then an excellent stick by Stone to win the puck
26:27Eichel down low for Stone Dorothea have a knuckle puck with Bussey sliding across
26:36Hurdle
26:37Marner tipped a couple of times and stopped by Bussey a minute to go on the power play
26:44Eichel lets it go and the hard Karen goes all the way down to heart
26:58three minutes gone by third period game for the Stanley Cup final tied at three
27:08Vegas leads the series two games to one
27:12Carlson
27:15barbershop
27:16they send it hard around Anderson there into the corner how to try to center bouncing
27:22puck skated away
27:25Carolina 12 shorthand goals in the regular season to lead the league
27:29here's a shorthand try
27:30by Evers and it wound up in the right wing corner
27:34barbershop with time running out of the power play
27:37down low
27:37great opportunity for Theodore
27:41he goes cross ice to Rasmus Anderson out of the box
27:44Keandre Miller
27:46Carolina kills the penalty
27:49and that shot off the stick of Theodore
27:53lines up in the seats
27:56Vegas close a couple of times
27:58they can't get a clean look here
28:00Dorofia is going to have this one-timer
28:02but the puck is out by his front foot
28:04he doesn't get much on it
28:05swatted away by Bussey
28:07Jack Eichel is going to get this one-timer
28:09he hasn't had many of those
28:10and he rifles this
28:12wow the crossbar
28:13man Bussey is not set for that shot
28:15it hits the bar
28:16and this is a great play
28:17by Nikisha
28:19he knows the backdoor player
28:20Howden is open
28:21so he gets down on the ice
28:23and lays out
28:25that Eichel one-timer
28:26Bussey's playing that
28:27like there's a pass across the net
28:29he gets really lucky as that
28:31hits the crossbar
28:32Eichel just tattooed that
28:34hard to believe Eichel has one power play goal
28:36the entire season
28:38none of the playoffs
28:40that's a great passer
28:41that's ordinarily what he does
28:43when they're a man up
28:44that's snapped in by Coghlan
28:46more than four minutes played
28:47third period
28:50game four tied at 3-3
28:53lofted up
28:54to the blue line
28:55batted down
28:56by Lozong
28:57and carried back across by Carrier
29:02and Hart

29:25Brandon Bussey's in his first start here
29:27he had a
29:29pretty straightforward first period
29:31only beaten by Mark Stone
29:32then he gets a couple by him here
29:33he's got to regroup a little bit
29:35and the pressure starts to sit a little heavy
29:37on both of these goaltenders
29:38Hart has really settled after
29:41getting lit up earlier
29:43it's
29:44been much better
29:45much more solid
29:45the last period and a half
29:47for Vegas
29:47Carlsen swooping in
29:49took the puck away
29:50from the
29:50Kishin
29:51now looking for options
29:53the passing lane
29:54shut off by Blake
29:56played back to the point
29:57to McNabb
29:58gives it back to Marner
29:59trying to touch it through
30:00and the puck picked off by Stankovic
30:03across the line
30:04drops it off
30:05and it's taken back by Marner
30:07and then regathered by Hall
30:12here's Carlsen for Marner
30:14Howden goes off
30:16Marner got blasted down
30:18as he dumped in
30:19another heavy hit from Sean Walker
30:21and Walker's a mean player
30:23he's not a big guy
30:24but when he gets a chance to put the finish on
30:26he really lays it to you
30:32nearing 14 and a half minutes to go
30:34Miller on the pinch
30:36and here's Eichel with some speed
30:37across the red line
30:38Eichel on the forehand
30:40tries to dangle around
30:42Walker
30:42winds up behind the net
30:44Stone just missed the far post
30:48Hannafin at the line
30:49batted down by Stone
30:51blocked
30:52Stone and Eichel
30:53and it winds up in the near corner
30:58here's Anderson
30:59that's blocked by Martino
31:01Ajo one on one on Hannafin
31:03save Harden
31:04he covers it
31:07up and down they go
31:10in the opening six minutes of the third period
31:12in a tie game
31:15Vegas has more than held their own here in this period
31:17it's not been a good period in the series
31:19they had a couple of good chances on the power play
31:22Eichel will create one
31:23Stone with a couple of chances
31:25from right in tight
31:26you see a good look at what Brandon Busse sees
31:29as Stone always seems to find the puck
31:32this time Stone just cues it wider than that
31:35Busse is able to hold the forward
31:37a change and a face off down in the Vegas end
31:40we'll get a Jordan Stahl face off out here again
31:47he's won eight out of eleven
31:50and so Sean now a little more pressure here for Colton Sissons
31:53as Eichel's just come off the ice
31:55so Sissons is going to get this draw in the right corner
31:58his strong side
32:00against Stahl who
32:02is just a bear in that face off circle
32:08Sissons ordinarily
32:10their best face off man by percentage
32:12although
32:13there are a couple who take more of the draws
32:18cross ice for Slavin
32:20lets it go
32:20that hit Hart wound up off the back wall
32:23Jarvis turned it over to Sissons
32:25then the pass behind Hurdle
32:27he races to get there first
32:29but Slavin did and sent it back in
32:32Hart left it for Theodore
32:34off the stick of Sissons
32:35who managed to poke it out
32:38that one's whacked out of the air
32:40by Ehlers
32:42oh a terrible turnover
32:44Jarvis is stopped by Hart
32:47oh my goodness
32:49now out in front
32:50Stahl
32:51he scores
32:53while falling down
32:584-3 Carolina
33:06you do the right thing enough times
33:09you do get rewarded for the most part
33:11Jordan Stahl goes in
33:13on the forecheck
33:14and that Jarvis chance is going to be
33:17because Stahl is going to forecheck it be in position
33:20the puck will hit Stahl's right foot
33:22and it goes right to Jarvis
33:24now it's just he and Hart
33:26Hart stops the puck
33:27but out of this mess
33:28Jarvis turns the puck over
33:31and falling on his belly
33:33Jordan Stahl takes the Ehlers pass
33:35look at that
33:36looks like a Vegas team picture
33:37in the corner
33:38but Jarvis keeps it alive to Ehlers
33:42when it's gone it's gone
33:44Jordan Stahl's got a second
33:46another Carolina lead 4-3
33:49the pass was so slow getting over there
33:51that Stahl was fighting to stay on his feet
33:55couldn't it didn't matter
33:56what a Stanley Cup final he has had
33:59now leading all goal scorers
34:00through these first four games
34:02not through the fourth game yet
34:04with five
34:06he scored in every game
34:09fourth man since expansion to do that
34:13and the oldest player
34:14never to score in four straight Stanley Cup
34:16playoff games
34:17he was already the oldest of 37
34:18to do it the first three
34:20shot in by Coughlin
34:22but not very deep
34:23Walker stopped it
34:25here's Hannafin
34:26they're catching Carolina to change
34:29and a big stop by Bussey
34:30on Hannafin
34:32who has not had a goal in the playoffs
34:35had about as good an opportunity
34:36as he could have
34:38with Carolina slow to change
34:40Hall sends it toward the net
34:42twelve and a half to go
34:43inside the suddenly quiet fortress
34:47pushed in behind by Stan Colvin
34:49Anderson
34:50Hall saw that one coming
34:54last despair banging a stick for the
34:56puck and he got it
34:57now Blake tied up by Anderson
35:00Stan Colvin has it now from Hall
35:04Blake dying the net front
35:09and a good takeaway by Hannafin
35:12as he plucked it away from Hall
35:14Hall has it back
35:15Hall
35:17Hannafin got back in the play
35:18under twelve minutes to go
35:21good pressure by Carolina can
35:23they generate a shot from all
35:25this good work on the four check
35:27Stan Colvin's going off
35:28Slavin and got to spare go off as
35:31well the puck being tied up gave them
35:34a chance to do that the go ahead
35:37goal by stall a second of the
35:38night Walker it comes to Martin
35:42Nook and then Aho couldn't
35:45redirect it on net Ehlers the
35:47assist to assist tonight for
35:49Ehlers at 632 in the third
35:52period Carolina has led two to
35:56nothing three to one and now
35:57four to three here's Eichel and
36:02the puck taken back and cleared
36:03by Aho to the 33 year old
36:06Martin Nook that one hit the
36:08linesman didn't get all the way
36:10in I go the other way for
36:13Barber chef back for Eichel off
36:14him into the right wing corner
36:17and taken off the wall by
36:18Jarvis nearly had it taken away
36:21by Barber chef Theodore did not
36:25connect with Barber chef
36:311040 to go here's Jalen
36:35Chatfield rims it around
36:38Ehlers let it go and now a race
36:41for the puck Sessons cuts and
36:44Sessons stopped as the Cation
36:48went racing back to get into the
36:50play Lausanne on the third defense
36:55pair he and Coughlin haven't seen
36:57much ice time tonight Chatfield
37:01dodged Dorothea Lausanne pinched
37:03in but didn't stop the puck
37:08Coughlin for Lausanne made sure
37:12he got to the red line before he
37:13shot it in we're more than midway
37:15through the third period now
37:16another classic in this Stanley Cup
37:19final the first three games all
37:21decided by one goal this one is a
37:24one goal margin with 9 45 to go
37:27Dowd with the fourth line on for
37:29Vegas Dowd running out of space in
37:32the zone just turned it right over
37:33to carry a now Anderson across for
37:40Hannafin Robinson goes off for Carolina
37:45cross ice dump in by Hannafin
37:48Slavin there move quickly ahead and
37:52there'll be Theodore back on it one
37:54thing with this continuous play
37:56Carolina likes to get all four of
37:58their lines on the ice they're doing
37:59that and they're able to keep their
38:01pace high now it's Vegas's turn to
38:02push McNabb kept it in stone gloved
38:07it down the handoff for barbyshev
38:10he has it back from stone it moves
38:12to Theodore and he missed the net
38:13with a lot of bodies out in front
38:15stick lift by barbyshev and Blake
38:17and the puck won by Walker ahead for
38:20Hall trying to cut in Theodore tries
38:23to get back and Hart made the stop it
38:25didn't have a lot on it sent in deeper
38:28by Stan Colvin wheeled around by
38:30Hall tough angle shot knocked down by
38:34Hart that came off the stick of
38:37Slavin stone a sturdy check into
38:39Stan Colvin not enough on the pass to
38:42get it in behind from Arden up stone
38:44harassed by Svechnikov continuous
38:47action Busty well out of the net to
38:51move it forward to Martino taken back
38:53by Carlson down 8 15 to go bouncing
38:57puck settled by barbyshev
38:58and Slavin stopped him now it's
39:02Lausanne with Martino gone up well
39:05played by Jeremy Lausanne they
39:08struggle to get it out more than
39:09five minutes without a whistle now
39:11Marner up in the air it comes down
39:15Coghlan advanced it Carlson sent it
39:17in deeper howden flies in on the
39:19four check on got this pair can
39:24happen back to play it'll be an
39:25icing call against the Canes
39:30about six minutes ago Carolina gave
39:33regained the lead shape Theodore's
39:36pass up the middle deflects off of
39:38Jordan Stahl's foot and Hart really
39:40stays with the play to stop
39:42Jarvis but Jarvis keeps this play alive
39:45he's not credited with a point here
39:47but he keeps it alive
39:49Stahl scores and in Carolina it's a
39:52cello they're watching on the big
39:54board and they see their Hurricanes
39:56take a 4-3 lead
40:05Jordan Stahl the star he's really
40:07matching the heroics of Mitch Marner
40:10here they've been the leading men for
40:12each team in an epic first four games
40:15of the Stanley Cup final can have
40:17been down low barter down in front
40:20Eichel attempt and then Anderson
40:22passed it to nobody Anderson went
40:27crashing in put it right on the
40:28stick a lot of the canes they're
40:30content to take the icing call so
40:32they will not be able to substitute
40:35but seven and a half to go
40:38Keandre Miller breaks his stick and
40:40now that leaves Carolina sort of
40:44shorthanded Ehlers hands Miller his
40:46stick now Miller's got to play with
40:47a stick it's about a foot shorter
40:49and through all of this Eichel's
40:52gonna get inside of La Bajo that's
40:55Bussey's best stop tonight is most
40:57critical one and through the traffic
41:00the puck skitters wide Anderson
41:02charges right to the net front and
41:04it came off his stick and Miller
41:07clears one thing to watch here
41:08Bussey really aggressive with his
41:10stick he's a poke checkered he'll
41:12get around he'll get a stick out
41:14around the crease that time he's
41:15spoiled the chance Chatfield drives
41:18it around Hannafin the pinch
41:21battling Ajo for the puck taking
41:24down to seven minutes to go in the
41:26third period two goals tonight for
41:29Jordan stall including the go-ahead
41:31goal that made it four to three at
41:34six thirty-two of this the third
41:36period twice squandered a two goal
41:40lead tonight have the Canes lost
41:44track rate in this series of how
41:45many multiple goal games have been
41:47lost for the leads I should say have
41:49been lost just nothing ever feels
41:52comfortable or safe everybody
41:54thought this is going to be a low
41:55scoring series between two teams that
41:58defend so well Carolina had given up
42:01more than two goals once in the
42:03first three rounds the playoffs in
42:05thirteen games
42:08McNabb played it up Dorothea nudged by
42:12negation both teams are changing
42:15lines
42:23the first goalie in the Stanley Cup
42:26final history to give up four goals or
42:29more in each of the first four games of a
42:32cup final after squandering that 3-1
42:37lead great work by Jarvis and Ehlers and
42:40and then a last-ditch chip by Jordan
42:44stall is fifth of the final it's 4-3
42:47Carolina the Stanley Cup final on ABC is
42:51presented by Geico it feels good to have a
42:53winning team it feels good to Geico
42:59two more goals tonight for Jordan stall five of the
43:03Stanley Cup final he's the first player to
43:05score five in the first four games of a
43:08cup final since Mario Lemieux in 1992 in a
43:11sweep of Chicago first Lemieux the great
43:14Pittsburgh Penguins star it was back in
43:182009 as a 20 year old that Jordan stall
43:22scored two goals for Pittsburgh on their
43:24way to a Stanley Cup title beating Detroit
43:28avenging a Stanley Cup final loss from the
43:31year before in the clinching game Marc-Andre
43:34Fleury stopped the shot right at the buzzer
43:37from Nick Lindstrom 20 year old Jordan stall
43:40was on the ice defending the play I saw a
43:42clip of it today and I'm like oh my gosh he's
43:44been doing it again and now he's 17 years
43:46later and he's got five goals in the
43:48final the four stall brothers from
43:50Thunder Bay Ontario have played in the
43:53National Hockey League brother Eric was
43:56his teammate for a while in Carolina
43:57standout player for the Hurricanes
44:03Mark stall a defenseman played in more
44:06than a thousand NHL games have of Jordan
44:09and Eric behind the net Dorfeev swings it
44:12out in front Fosse got his stick on it five
44:16and a half to go Jordan stall was a
44:21Pittsburgh penguin till the summer of
44:232012 when he found out at his wedding
44:25reception in Ontario he had been
44:28traded hey honey guess what hey
44:31Heather great wedding we're going to
44:34Carolina he found out from his agent Paul
44:36Papelka time was not sure if he should
44:38tell them the good news was he had a lot
44:40of his penguin teammates there he got a
44:42chance to say goodbye to them at his own
44:44wedding reception it is just really
44:47impressive to watch in today's pace of
44:51game Jordan stall and Mark stone I'm
44:53looking at stones on the ice now these
44:55guys play with their size of their body
44:57with their head their positioning is so
45:00great their IQ of the game it's really
45:03impressive to stand out as they do
45:06because they lack the foot speed that you
45:08see so many of these players just race
45:10around the rink with it they're both
45:13their teams captains and there's a
45:14reason
45:17here's Ajo merge from the corner with
45:20the puck back of the line Slavin gave it
45:23off fetch the cough tried to send it to
45:26the blue paint long hit ahead the
45:29martyr off his skate that sense fetch
45:31the cough back in stone deflected the
45:33pass hard around from Martin Oth a
45:36whole fan does he try to send it back
45:38behind the net opens the door for a
45:40rush for Eichel and he gave it back
45:43to a whole neither Eichel nor a whole
45:48has been as much of a factor yet in
45:50this Stanley Cup final as you would
45:52expect Hannafin with time running down
45:57now on the Vegas Golden Knights under
46:00420 to go Carlson in on Miller and
46:03icing is the call well this series has
46:07been incredible the same is true of
46:10the NBA Finals a lot of big
46:13celebrities at MSG last night they
46:15watched the Knicks lose to Wemby and
46:18the Spurs the road team has won each
46:20of the first three games in that
46:21series coverage begins at eight tomorrow
46:24on ABC in the ESPN app Thursday night
46:32we're back in Raleigh for game five of the
46:35Stanley Cup final from Lenovo center
46:37eight o'clock right here on ABC will
46:41Carolina hang on to this lead and have
46:43even the series at two apiece there will
46:45Vegas be playing for a chance to win the
46:48Stanley Cup for the second time in four
46:50years Sean as we come down the stretch
46:55here Vegas is starting to look at this as a
46:58sprint they've changed their lines Marner and
47:01Stone played with Eichel the last shift now
47:03now you've got Sissons Howden and Carlson so
47:06John Tortorella really shrinking the bench
47:08but also moving the characters around and
47:11that makes a decision for Rod Brindamore he's
47:14got stall against this line that means Ajo has
47:16to go against Eichel with Marner and Stone that
47:19will probably be the next shift
47:23here's Walker on with Miller on defense in
47:27an offer two goals five on five tonight
47:30and six in this series after they were on
47:33only three five on five goals against in
47:36the first thirteen games for these
47:38playoffs that's wedged out sent the
47:42length of the ice it'll be an icing
47:44call no it won't waved off at the
47:46last moment played hard around by Carlson
47:51or rather by Theodore Carlson try to lift
47:54the stick of Eelers at the line three
47:55forty to go Carolina trying to protect
47:58the one goal lead no lead has been safe
48:00in this series Ajo content to play to the
48:07open side Hannafin head man for Carlson
48:10who couldn't handle it and it's dumped
48:12back into the left wing corner by
48:14Chatfield three twenty to go Dorothea
48:19Barbar chef stopped at center ice by
48:21Chatfield he sends it in interesting
48:27they kept Eichel's line off again and so
48:31the Ajo line got burned up here against
48:34Barbar chef Dorothea trying to cut in
48:37ran into some traffic and taken into the
48:39corner by Miller hurdle sent it back for
48:44Theodore through the crowd stopped by
48:46Bussey rebound was free it got cleared to
48:49the wall kept in up high and then lost
48:53and advanced by Stan Colvin
48:57Hart leaves it for Theodore and it's about
49:00that time where you think John
49:01Tortorella would get hard out of the net
49:04if they can get the puck into the
49:05offensive end and he's got Eichel
49:07Marner and Stone out here this would be
49:08the time if they can advance it this
49:11is more typical of what you see from
49:14Carolina through most of the year team
49:16defense protecting the lead Eichel
49:19through center ice not a great play
49:21Marner was stationary at the line
49:24Hannafin now at the red line 2-10 to go
49:28and it's Eichel again left it for Theodore
49:32Hart has started to creep out of the net
49:33he'll go to the bench as Stone touched it in
49:36and the puck wound up out of the rink
49:40so interesting here you see there's 1.59 left
49:45on the clock if there's 2-0-1 there's a
49:48TV timeout so now there is no John
49:51Tortorella is asking where's the TV timeout
49:53but it's now under two minutes that
49:55timeout disappears so Vegas will have to
49:58use their own timeout to organize what is
50:02a very critical faceoff will be to the
50:05left hand side of Brandon Busse
50:08you'd have to think Stahl would be on
50:10for it for Carolina who will towards
50:12him take the faceoff what's going to be
50:15on this side so it's either Eichel or I
50:17guess he could use Sissons but it'll be
50:19Eichel on this side you know it's Jordan
50:22Stahl and so if I'm Jack Eichel I'm going
50:26into this and I'm not worried about
50:27winning it I'm more concerned about
50:30losing it so I want to drive straight
50:32into Stahl's stick if I can try and pin
50:35the puck and get help from my wingers
50:39possession is everything on this draw
50:43Carolina if they win it they'll work this
50:46around the far side oh you know what
50:52here Sean I'm looking at the puck the
50:54faceoff is over on the right side of
50:56Busse so that becomes a left-handed draw it's
51:00Tomas Hurdle I would think would be the
51:03left-hander that would take this draw it
51:05doesn't matter where it is it'll be
51:06Jordan Stahl the net is empty hard as I
51:10with 159 to go Carolina leading 4-3
51:13and twice left by two goals they have
51:15not trailed tonight Jordan Stahl's
51:17second goal of the night for Carolina
51:19broke a 3-3 tie Dorfeev is your
51:25shooter number 16 in gold he's your
51:28shooter if they can win the draw
51:30Hurdle and Stahl the puck is free
51:32Eichel had a point blank chance and did
51:36not score here's Stahl behind the net
51:39try to send it out quickly to Marner
51:42Carolina with the net empty Dorfeev back
51:46on you will not get a better chance off
51:49a faceoff and Eichel just cannot find a
51:52way to pop one one of the best players
51:55in the world the puck sent hard around
52:01the race for it icing is the call
52:07one of the dangers defensively is
52:10everybody's trying to rush to get into
52:12their position sometimes the puck pops
52:14straight up in the air watch this puck
52:15straight up everybody's tied up
52:18Chatfield's tied up with Marner
52:20Jarvis 24 is now headed to the point
52:22and everybody vacates and it's Jack Eichel
52:25with a chance to shoot it he gets great
52:27wood on this and shoots it over the
52:29glove a pussy and over the net hit a
52:32crossbar earlier sent that one just
52:34over the crossbar 120 to go the net
52:37remains empty Vegas trying to tie it
52:42Stone behind the net hurdle is right at
52:44the top of the blue paint Marner along
52:46the wall looking for a better angle
52:48Eichel Theodore Theodore sends it
52:53to the net for an empty net goal from the
53:06length of the ice by Eilers what a great
53:11bounce he got off the boards it went
53:13right into the center of the net an
53:15empty net goal and a two goal lead with
53:1854.8 to go Nick Eilers set up the
53:23Jordan Stoll 4-3 goal he's gonna get a
53:26lucky bounce he'll take it his third of
53:28the series into the empty net Theodore
53:31shot save traffic and then Chatfield
53:34takes down hurdle Slavin helps defend
53:37this puck away from the golden knight
53:40right forward and then Nick Eilers will
53:42grab it here shoot it off the boards
53:44and it takes a crazy carom directly
53:48into the middle of the net and the
53:50Carolina Golden or Carolina Hurricanes
53:53have a two goal lead here on the
53:55Vegas Golden Knights 50 seconds away
53:58from a 2-2 series one of the greatest
54:01bounces you could ever hope to get on
54:03a play like that just trying to get it
54:04out of the zone and rim it around
54:06takes a crazy bounce and winds up
54:09right in the center of the goal what
54:11else is gonna happen they're
54:13streaming for the exits here
54:16there'll be a game six back here
54:18this one's going at least six
54:23another classic 25 seconds to go
54:27that one comes outside the line
54:29Ehlers and the empty net unassisted
54:33at 1905 and if it stays this way
54:36it's going to be the first game of the
54:38four decided by more than one goal
54:41and Brandon Bussey would he be your
54:43goalie in game five Thursday night
54:45right yes he would I know they said
54:47they wanted to give Freddie
54:48Anderson a couple of more days
54:49because of the travel schedule it's
54:51fly tomorrow play the next day
54:54Bussey has done the job he's given
54:56up three stop 20 shots I go with
54:58Bussey in game five Anderson gets a
55:01couple of days and then you worry
55:02about game six down the road
55:13this is the first time in Stanley Cup
55:15final history each team has scored
55:17three or more goals in each of the
55:18first four games
55:25and the final seconds tick off the
55:30Carolina Hurricanes still have not lost
55:33back-to-back games since mid-January
55:36they're 25 and 7 this year after the
55:38loss including the regular season
55:41Brandon Bussey very few Canes fans
55:43have heard of him in October but he's
55:46a commitment of godsend for them
55:48wound up starting more goals in the
55:50regular season 131 out of 39 he was
55:53the fastest goalie in league history
55:55to get 11 wins he did it in 12 starts
55:58he was the fastest to get 25 he did it
56:01in 29 games and now he's off the bench
56:05into the net and a winner in game four
56:12what a what a solid road game the early
56:15couple of goals the quick start the
56:18rebound after they've given up the 3-1
56:20lead another third period that Carolina
56:25controls in in goals four goals
56:27against they've scored 10 in the third
56:30period and they earn a road win
56:37and Emily's with Brandon Bussey
56:39Brandon your first playoff start and
56:42it's at the Stanley Cup final what was
56:44your reaction when you found out out
56:46obviously excited you know I think this
56:47is what a lot of you know kids grow up
56:50they dream about doing something like
56:53this so honored to have the opportunity
56:55it was great effort by us tonight
56:57excited to get back to Raleigh your
56:59first big save Mark Stone coming at you
57:01on a breakaway what's going through your
57:02mind in that sequence just stop the puck
57:04find ways to stop the puck I think
57:06kind of right after that we got the
57:08second goal I think so sometimes it's
57:10not about how many saves you make it's
57:12when you make them yeah so you said
57:16this is what kids dream of you're 27
57:17years old and you made your NHL debut
57:19this year after years of grinding in
57:21the minors like what do you hope
57:23people take away from your story I
57:25don't know maybe just never give up
57:27have fun with it I'm having a blast
57:29so as long as you're having fun there's
57:31no need to stress about anything
57:33okay and a question about the game
57:35winner your captain Jordan Skull he
57:37scores on his stomach what that look
57:38like from your vantage point hectic
57:41like the series has been so you know
57:44he's a big-time player he's you know
57:47leads us every day plays the right
57:49way and it's rewarded all right and
57:52we're gonna have you again Thursday
57:53night in Raleigh do you hope you get
57:54the start talk the rod I will thank
57:58you Brandon congratulations we gave the
58:00same answer yesterday at their
58:02workout he was asked do you think
58:04you're going to be starting tomorrow
58:05and he said you know Roddy is our
58:07coach right so he's going to hold off
58:11on making comment on that decision be
58:15hard not to in my opinion ray as we
58:18discussed a moment ago what a
58:21performance by Carolina they win five
58:25to three to even this series at two
58:27wins apiece as we'll have game five
58:31coming your way from Raleigh Thursday
58:33night at eight they never trailed
58:37tonight but it was harrowing as
58:39every lead has been on both sides in
58:42this series they got the quick start
58:46Stan Colvin scored a little bit more
58:48than a minute in Blake made it two
58:50to nothing but you knew Vegas was
58:53gonna rally Stone got their rally
58:55started twice Vegas down by two to
58:57tie it Jordan Stahl two goals tonight
59:00but turned out to be the game winner
59:02as he was going down friendly
59:05Kaplan Ray for our Dave Jackson our
59:06great crew Sean McDonough so long
59:09from Las Vegas we'll see you Thursday
