Cricket analyst Fazeer Mohammed expects the West Indies to have it tough at the tournament, as there are some quality teams in their group.

The Windies play their opener on June 13th against defending champs New Zealand, and Mohammed is expressing concern about the team often relying heavily on captain Hayley Matthews.

00:00Having completed their women's T20 Tri Series in Ireland, the West Indies are getting ready for the prestigious ICC tournament
00:06being jointly hosted by England and Wales.
00:09According to cricket analyst Fazir Mohamed, there are concerns for the West Indies ahead of the women's T20 World Cup
00:15since the team relies too heavily on one player in particular.
00:18We have seen some improvement from the support players but once again the West Indies remain too reliant, heavily reliant
00:26on their captain and star performer Hayley Matthews going into this T20 Women's World Cup.
00:32You look at the challenge facing the West Indies immediately against the defending champions in New Zealand.
00:38Besides New Zealand, there are other teams Mohamed is not taking lightly including Ireland and Scotland.
00:44In fact, he thinks the West Indies' chances are slim in the 10th edition of the women's T20 World Cup.
00:49It's going to be an enormous challenge for the West Indies to make the semi-files, to reach the top
00:55two of a grouping that includes, as I said, the defending champions in New Zealand, former winners in England and
01:02a real dark horse team in Sri Lanka.
01:05The West Indies recently won the rain-affected women's T20 Tri Series, also involving home side Ireland and Pakistan.
01:12Even though Mohamed says it's refreshing to win something, he's not placing too much emphasis on that series.
01:19Yes, good for the West Indies to win that tournament but by no stretch of the imagination can they put
01:25too much store behind it.
01:27It will be a motivational factor to prevail but again it will be something that they've got to look back
01:33on and see where can they improve.
01:35Despite everything said, Mohamed has a strong message for the team. Try turning the impossible into possible.
01:42Every single player has prepared to step up, to rise above their numbers, to give the West Indies a chance
01:50of making it to the semi-finals and who knows, actually going all the way to the title.
01:54It looks very unlikely but they've really got to play above themselves.
01:58Should it materialize for the Wendy's, that would be title number two to add to their first which was achieved
02:04in 2016 in India.
02:06We know now, I need to export.
