00:07we thought we did a pretty good job
00:08but nowhere did we see anything about this place. It says up there Trick Art
00:14and we wouldn't have even stopped here except we drove past it and the lady of the house thought it
00:18looked interesting
00:18which I think you'll agree doesn't really from the outside does it?
00:22Pretty bland for a place that's supposed to be arty
00:25but anyway we came in there are only a couple other people in here and this huge place as you'll
00:31see
00:31so the idea is it's all illusions so you can have photos taken of yourself interacting with this art to
00:38make it look 3D
00:39make it look like it's real and it's pretty clever but just amazing
00:44the inside of this place as you'll see must have cost an absolute fortune to put together
00:52but it's sort of like it doesn't exist. We didn't see any promotion for it anywhere
00:58couldn't find anything about it online before we came
01:01just didn't spot it, didn't know it was here. We did not know it was here
01:05so if the lady hadn't have said let's stop and have a look at that
01:09we definitely wouldn't have
01:11but just amazing, interesting combination of these illusion pieces of art
01:17the illusions and some just quality art really
01:23so it's sort of good because obviously art galleries are usually pretty boring for kids
01:27but this one because of the interaction thing and the 3D illusions and so on
01:32sort of makes it sort of interesting for a family
01:38so if you find yourself in Hokkaido
01:42this was, where was it, it was just north of Furano
01:47it was as we're heading north from Furano
01:49heading up towards the northern part of Japan
01:52and that was the other thing too, sort of in the middle of nowhere
01:55just out in the countryside, up on a hill
02:01so it's amazing that they managed to do business
02:04we see this a lot in Japan, places like this
02:06where you think, how do they get enough customers
02:09to justify their existence
02:10they had like 4 or 5 staff in there
02:14and almost no customers
02:15and it's hard to know how anybody would find them
02:18because they're sort of out in the countryside
02:25so I was quite a surprise
02:27such a bland looking outside of the building
02:30to come in here and find all this
02:32was like, oh, no idea
02:34no idea it would be this impressive inside
02:41so I just stumbled on it by chance
02:45so yes, if you find yourself in this part of Hokkaido
02:47check it out if you've got an hour or two
02:49it's pretty good
