00:34According to the government, nearly 8,000 crore rupees is available under CSR initiatives, but there is limited visibility into
00:41how these funds are currently being utilized.
00:43To improve transparency, companies will be asked to submit detailed reports on their CSR spending.
00:49One of the key proposals under consideration is the establishment of one school for every three gram panchayats using CSR
00:56support.
00:57Officials have been directed to identify suitable land and infrastructure requirements for the initiative.

01:22The Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation, or BMC, has opened 71 parks, gardens and playground projects for corporate participation through CSR

01:31The projects range from small-scale park improvements to major redevelopment initiatives worth up to 10 crore rupees.
01:38The move comes at a time and Mumbai continues to face a significant shortage of accessible public open spaces.
01:44Studies have shown that many neighbourhoods have far less open space than recommended urban planning and public health standards.
01:52According to civic officials, corporates have already started showing interest in the initiative,
01:56with proposals distributed across different wards of the city.
02:00Experts believe that investment in public parks and recreational spaces can improve community well-being,
02:06encourage physical activity and create long-term social benefits for urban residents.

02:12Bharat 1 Yojana launched in Raichur with CSR support.
02:17Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman launched the Bharat 1 Yojana in Raichur on World Environment Day
02:23by planting a sapling under the Ek Per Ma Ke Naam campaign.
02:27The programme was organised by the district administration in collaboration with SPMCIL through its CSR initiative.
02:35As part of the project, nearly 60,000 native saplings are being planted across the district,
02:41including 10,000 saplings within the Deputy Commissioner's Office premises
02:45and another 50,000 at the city's Solid Waste Management Unit.
02:50Officials highlighted that the district has been effectively utilising CSR funds
02:54to support environmental conservation and development initiatives.
02:58The project aims to strengthen green cover, promote ecological sustainability
03:03and contribute to climate resilience in the region.
03:06Moving ahead to our next story, NTPL supports Gandhi Museum project through CSR.
03:12In another significant CSR development, NLC Tamil Nadu Power Limited or NTPL
03:18has committed 2.97 crore rupees towards the construction of a Gandhi museum in Tamil Nadu.
03:24The project will be developed at the Gandhi-Gram Rural Institute in Dindigul district.
03:30An MOU for the initiative was signed between NTPL and the institute,
03:34marking a major step toward preserving India's cultural and historical heritage.
03:39The proposed museum will focus on showcasing the life, values and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi
03:44while serving as a centre for education, research and public engagement.
03:48NTPL stated that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to heritage, conservation,
03:54education and community development through meaningful CSR interventions.

04:04We highlight an education-focused CSR initiative in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
04:08supported by Nikotra India Private Limited
04:11and implemented by the Centre for CSR and Sustainability Excellence.
04:15The project strengthened educational infrastructure across three schools
04:19by introducing IT-enabled learning devices, classroom benches and safe play areas
04:25to enhance both learning and student well-being.
04:28By creating a more interactive, comfortable and student-friendly environment,
04:32the initiative helped improve educational experiences and support holistic development.
