00:15So let's get started with today's top stories.
00:21Our first story, Finovation Project Spotlight, Program Management for a Rainwater Harvesting
00:27Project. In Gautam, Bulanagar, Uttar Pradesh, Finovation partnered with two global leaders
00:33in the packaging industry to implement a three-year CSR project focused on rainwater harvesting
00:38across four villages. As part of the initiative, 100 farmers in each village were trained in
00:44both ex-situ and in-situ rainwater harvesting techniques to strengthen sustainable water
00:50management practices. The project helped improve groundwater recharge capacity, address local
00:56irrigation needs, and enhance water security for farming communities, contributing to long-term
01:01environmental sustainability and rural development.
01:04Moving ahead to our next story, Nagaland secures over 30 crore rupees in CSR commitments.
01:10Nagaland Connect 2026, a CSR conclave organized by the Investment and Development Authority of
01:16Nagaland, secured corporate commitments worth more than 30 crore rupees for development initiatives
01:21across the state. Chief Minister Nephew Rio invited corporate India to view Nagaland as a destination
01:27for opportunity rather than assistance. He emphasized that CSR should serve as an instrument
01:33of equity and inclusive growth. The state identified key focus areas including education, health care,
01:39livelihoods, women empowerment, youth development, environmental sustainability and rural development.
01:45More than 40 companies participated in the conclave, with several letters of interest and partnership
01:50agreements signed to strengthen long-term development in the state.
01:54Our next story, NNBC promotes sustainable livelihoods in Chhattisgarh. As part of its CSR program,
02:01NNDC distributed 1,613 fruit saplings including mango, lychee and coconut across the gram panchayats
02:09of Nerli and Bade Baceli. The initiative aims to promote horticulture-based livelihoods, improve
02:14nutritional security and increase green cover by encouraging rural households to cultivate fruit-bearing
02:21trees. According to NMDC, the program reflects its continued commitment to sustainable community
02:26development, environmental conservation and long-term income generation for local families.
02:32Moving ahead to our next story, NHBC invests over Rs. 56 crore in Chamba through CSR. In Himachal Pradesh,
02:40NHBC has invested more than Rs. 56 crore in CSR initiatives across Chamba district over the past
02:46five years. The projects are focused on education, health care, sanitation and community welfare.
02:52NHBC has supported the construction of 45 school buildings, installed 350 water purifiers in schools
02:59and Aanganwadi centres, strengthened healthcare laboratories and recently launched a mobile
03:04therapy van for children with special needs. The company said these initiatives aim to improve
03:09access to quality education, healthcare and essential public services in remote communities.
03:15Moving to our final story, SPI extends CSR support to social organisations.
03:20State Bank of India has strengthened its CSR efforts by donating three vehicles each to three social
03:26organisations working in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The bank also extended financial assistance to SOS
03:33Children's Village in Guwahati for the welfare of vulnerable children.
