00:04Hello and welcome, I'm Arohi. I'm your watching D-Note Express Weekly CSR Bulletin.
00:09Here we bring you India's most impactful CSR initiatives, breakthrough partnerships and key updates.
00:14So, let's get started with today's top stories.
00:21Our first story.
00:23NSE commits 10% of CSR corpus to social stock exchange projects.
00:28NSE has announced that it will allocate 10% of its annual corporate social responsibility corpus to projects listed on
00:35the NSE social stock exchange.
00:37The move follows recent regulatory changes that allow companies to undertake CSR spending through zero-coupon, zero-principle instruments listed
00:45on social stock exchanges.
00:48NSE's CSR committee had approved the proposal in principle earlier this year, and the decision has now been operationalised following
00:55the Ministry of Corporate Affairs notification.
00:57According to NSE, the initiative aims to strengthen India's social impact financing ecosystem by improving transparency, accountability and visibility of
01:06CSR spending.
01:08Since its launch in 2023, the NSE social stock exchange has facilitated fundraising for projects across healthcare, education, women empowerment,
01:17climate action, skilling and sustainable livelihoods.
01:20Industry observers believe this development could unlock significant funding opportunities for non-profit organisations while encouraging greater participation from corporate
01:30India.
01:30Moving ahead to our next story, BC Jindal Foundation allocates 43 crore rupees for CSR initiatives.
01:38In another major CSR announcement, the BC Jindal Foundation has earmarked 43 crore rupees for social development projects during the
01:46financial year 2026-27.
01:48The funding will support initiatives in healthcare, education, nutrition, skill development, animal welfare and community infrastructure across multiple states, including
01:57Delhi, Haryana, Odisha, Maharashtra and West Bengal.
02:00The foundation estimates that nearly 3 lakh people will benefit directly from these initiatives.
02:07Healthcare received the largest allocation of 16 crore rupees, while nutrition programmes have been allocated 8 crore rupees.
02:13Additionally, 5 crore rupees has been earmarked for skill development programmes aimed at improving employability among youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
02:23The foundation stated that these initiatives align with India's sustainable development goals and reflect its long-term commitment to community
02:31development and social impact.
02:32Now let's take a look at our next story.
02:34Hydra flags encroachments linked to CSR-based lake restoration projects.
02:40The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency, or Hydra, has raised concerns over alleged encroachments on lake lands carried
02:48out under the cover of CSR-funded restoration projects.
02:52According to officials, nearly 100 acres of valuable lake land have been reclaimed from encroachers across multiple water bodies in
02:59recent months.
03:01Investigations revealed instances where restoration and beautification projects allegedly resulted in reduced lake boundaries,
03:08illegal dumping of debris, illegal dumping of debris and construction activities within protected lake zones.
03:14Authorities emphasised that environmental conservation projects must prioritise ecological restoration rather than infrastructure development that may compromise natural ecosystems.
03:26Experts have called for stronger monitoring mechanisms to ensure CSR-funded environmental projects remain transparent, accountable and aligned with conservation
03:36objectives.
03:37Moving ahead to our next story, SECL inaugurates Model Aanganwadi Centre in Bilaspur.
03:43Southeastern Coalfields Limited, or SECL, has inaugurated a modernised Model Aanganwadi Centre in Bilaspur under its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
03:53The centre forms part of a larger Rs. 4.72 crore initiative aimed at upgrading 200 Aanganwadi centres across the
04:01district.
04:01The upgraded facility includes child-friendly learning spaces, educational materials, modern furniture and improved sanitation infrastructure.
04:10During the inauguration, educational kits including books, pencils, drawing pads and learning aids were distributed to enrolled children.
04:18SECL officials stated that the project aims to strengthen early childhood education and create a better learning environment for young
04:25children at the grassroots level.
04:27The initiative reflects the growing role of CSR in supporting foundational education and social infrastructure development.
04:35And now, presenting today's final story.
04:38Feenovation Project Spotlight Sustainable Agriculture Programme in Orissa.
04:43In today's Feenovation Project Spotlight, we highlight a successful sustainable agriculture initiative implemented in Raya Gada district of Orissa.
04:50A leading chemical manufacturing company had partnered with Feenovation to implement a CSR programme focused on income generation through sustainable
04:59agriculture.
05:00The project was designed to promote cost-effective farming practices and optimise the use of water, energy and labour resources
05:08among local farmers.
05:09Over 1,300 farmers were trained through hands-on capacity building sessions covering seed drill operations, improved sowing methods, insect
05:19and pest management and the efficient use of farm inputs.
05:23Feenovation also conducted independent monitoring, evaluation and impact assessments throughout the project to ensure effective implementation and measurable outcomes.
05:32Following the successful completion of the first phase, the initiative was extended for another two years, with a greater focus
05:38on long-term sustainability and livelihood enhancement for farming communities.
05:43So that's all for this week's CSR Bulletin. Stay tuned for more impactful stories and updates.
05:48On that note, we conclude today's Bulletin.
