00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:40Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The second book of Chronicles, chapter 29.
04:21In the first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah opened the doors of the Lord's temple and
04:28repaired them.
04:29He brought in the priests and the Levites, and assembled them in the square on the east side.
04:36He said to them,
04:37Listen to me, you Levites.
04:40Consecrate yourselves, so that you can consecrate the temple of the Lord God of your ancestors.
04:47Remove from the sanctuary all that is ceremonially unclean.
04:52For our fathers were unfaithful.
04:54They did put his evil in the sight of the Lord, and abandoned him.
05:00They turned away from the Lord's dwelling place, and rejected him.
05:05They closed the doors of the temple porch, and put out the lamps.
05:09They did not offer incense or burnt sacrifices in the sanctuary of the God of Israel.
05:16The Lord was angry at Judah and Jerusalem, and made them an appalling object of horror,
05:23at which people hiss out their scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.
05:29Look, our fathers died violently, and our sons, daughters and wives were carried off because of this.
05:37Now I intend to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, so that he may relent from his
05:44raging anger.
05:46My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to serve in his presence and offer
05:53sacrifices.
05:58Then the following Levites, prepared to carry out the king's orders.
06:03From the Kalbathites, Mahath son of Amsai, and Joel son of Azariah.
06:10From the Mererites, Kish, son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jelelel.
06:16From the Gershonites, Jehoah son of Zemah, and Aden son of Jehoah.
06:24From the descendants of Elisaphan, Shimri, and Jael.
06:29From the descendants of Asaph, Zechariah, and Mataniah.
06:34From the descendants of Heman, Jeheel, and Shimei.
06:39And from the descendants of Jeduthun, Shimei, and Uziel.
06:46They assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves.
06:49Then they went in to purify the Lord's temple, just as the king had ordered in accordance with the word
06:56of the Lord.
06:58The priests entered the Lord's temple to purify it.
07:01They brought out to the courtyard of the Lord's temple, every ceremonially unclean thing they discovered inside.
07:10The Levites took them down to the Kidron Valley.
07:15On the first day of the first month, they began consecrating.
07:20By the eighth day of the month, they had reached the porch of the Lord's temple.
07:25For eight more days, they consecrated the Lord's temple.
07:30And on the sixteenth day of the first month, they were finished.
07:34They went to King Hezekiah, and said, We have purified the entire temple of the Lord, including the altar of
07:41burnt sacrifice, and all its equipment, and the table for the bread of the presence, and all its equipment.
07:50We have prepared and consecrated all the items that King Ahaz removed during his reign when he acted unfaithfully.
08:05Early the next morning, King Hezekiah assembled the city officials and went to the Lord's temple.
08:12They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven goats, as a sin offering for the kingdom, the sanctuary,
08:22and Judah.
08:24The king told the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer burnt sacrifices on the altar of the Lord.
08:33This is the word of the Lord.
08:36Thanks be to God.
25:33The Gospel according to st. John Chapter 19
25:39Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged severely.
25:45The soldiers braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head and clothed him in a purple
25:51robe they struck him again and again saying hail King of the Jews again
26:02Pilate went out and said to the Jewish leaders look I bring him out to you that
26:08you may know that I find no reason for an accusation against him so Jesus came
26:15outside wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe Pilate said to them look
26:22here is the man but when the chief priests and their officers saw him they
26:28shouted out crucify him crucify him Pilate said you take him and crucify him
26:37certainly I find no reason for an accusation against him the Jewish leaders
26:43replied we have a law and according to our law he must die because he claimed
26:50to be the son of God when Pilate heard what they said he was even more afraid
26:58than ever and he went back into the governor's residence and said to Jesus
27:04where do you come from but Jesus gave him no answer so Pilate said do you refuse to
27:13speak to me don't you know that I have the authority to release you and to
27:20crucify you Jesus replied you would have no authority over me at all unless it was
27:29given to you from above therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of
27:36the greater sin from this point on Pilate tried to release him but the Jewish
27:43leaders shouted out if you release this man you are no friend of Caesar everyone
27:50who claims to be a king opposes Caesar when Pilate heard these words he brought
27:58Jesus outside and sat down on the judgment seat in the place called the stone
28:03pavement Gabbatha in the Aramaic and it was the day of preparation for the
28:10Passover around about noon Pilate said to the Jewish leaders look here is your king and they
28:22shouted out away with him away with him crucified him Pilate asked shall I
28:29crucify your king the high priest replied we have no king except Caesar then Pilate
28:39handed him over to be crucified and they took Jesus and carrying his own cross he
28:47went out to the place called the place of the skull in Aramaic Golgotha where they
28:53crucified him along with two others one on each side Jesus in the middle Pilate also
29:03had a notice written and fastened to the cross which read Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews
29:13many of the Jewish residents of Jerusalem read this notice because the place where Jesus was
29:19crucified was near to the city and the notice was written in Aramaic Latin and Greek then the chief
29:28priests of the Jews said to Pilate do not write the king of the Jews but rather the man said
29:36I am king
29:37of the Jews Pilate answered what I have written I have written now when the soldiers crucified Jesus they
29:48took his clothes and made more four shares one for each soldier and the tunic remained now the tunic was
29:59seamless woven from top to bottom as a single piece and so the soldiers said to one another let us
30:06not
30:06tear it but throw dice to see who will get it this took place to fulfill the scripture that says
30:13they
30:14divided my garments among them and former that my clothing they threw dice and so the soldiers did these
30:23things standing beside Jesus it cross for his mother his mother's sister Mary the wife of Clophas and
30:33Mary Magdalene when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there he said to his
30:42mother woman look here is your son and he said to the disciple look here is your mother and from
30:52that
30:52very time the disciple took her into his own home this is the word of the Lord thanks be to
