00:01Madison Square Garden, the place to be tonight.
00:04Well, not if you just want to hang out around the garden and have a watch party.
00:08That's not happening tonight.
00:09The president in the building.
00:11Game three, Madison Square Garden.
00:13First time in a long time since, what, 1999,
00:16that the New York Knicks and Madison Square Garden have hosted an NBA Finals game?
00:20Could it be another win for the Knicks?
00:23One step closer to immortality,
00:25cementing themselves as the favorite champion in the history of New York sports.
00:30It could happen, but they need to win tonight.
00:32If we take a look at the Spurs and the Knicks, so many times, Joe,
00:35four and a half point favorites here for the Spurs game number one,
00:37six and a half for game number two as a favorite to the Spurs.
00:40Now we take a look in the Spurs.
00:42They're not even favored now.
00:43It's the New York Knicks at minus two and a half and a total of 216 and a half.
00:48They're walking in tonight to a literal hornet's nest.
00:52These fans are amped up, ready to go,
00:54and apparently have a ton of money to spend.
00:58Spurs, Knicks, game three, huge tonight, Joe.
01:01What do we see from the spread line?
01:03Yeah, well, you know, this is not far off, Donnie.
01:06I mean, this is pretty much what the look ahead was coming in here.
01:10It was about two, two and a half.
01:11It just hasn't really moved a whole lot.
01:13We can see that an awful lot of tickets and public money on San Antonio because,
01:21let's say, right, they can't get swept.
01:23There's no way they can go down three games to none.
01:25But just because you have to win doesn't mean you will win.
01:29Because we had this same conversation on Friday, Donnie, heading into game two, right?
01:33They must win.
01:34They have to win.
01:36Well, they didn't win.
01:37And now they're going to go into one of the most, I don't know, the craziest environment
01:42I think that we will have seen in a very long time for a basketball finals game.
01:47Should be fun.
01:49But there's not a lot of wiggle room.
01:51At this point, game three, Donnie, the markets appear to be locked in two and what?
01:56Two-sixteen, two-sixteen and a half.
01:58I think the total is what we're going to see move before tip.
02:02But I think what you see is what you get.
02:04Again, just pick the winner.
02:06If you think the Knicks win, lay it.
02:08If you think the Spurs win, bet them on the money line, Donnie.
02:13There's no reason to even involve the spread in this game tonight.
02:18Oh, we got big doings in the NBA.
02:21More stuff off the court that we'll get to.
02:23And then on the court of what's going to take place tonight in Madison Square.
02:26In sad times, though, Chicago Bulls announced here,
02:29we are devastated by the passing of three-time NBA champion
02:32and beloved broadcaster Stacey King.
02:35Born in 67, passed his way in 2026.
02:38Never like to see that there, but beloved with the Bulls.
02:42Yeah, I mean, long-time voice, right?
02:45Sad news, too, that when we heard that come down over the weekend, Donnie,
02:51it's, what, 59 years old?
02:53Just awful news there for the Bulls family.
02:57You just don't.
02:59You just don't know that.
03:00I'll tell you what you do know in Philadelphia.
03:02Daryl Morey had to go at this point because you can't give out these ridiculous contracts.
03:06I don't care how well you draft or if you're a genius here, you got to go.
03:09But now look at this.
03:10Gansey comes into town to run the show from Cleveland.
03:13And how about this?
03:14Jameer Nelson promoted to the Sixers' number two executive.
03:16Elton Brand taking a new role.
03:18By the way, I never knew what Elton Brand even did in Philadelphia.
03:21Must be a nice paycheck there.
03:22But how about this?
03:23Local legend, St. Joseph legend, Jameer Nelson in the building as the number two, Joe.
03:29Former player, too, I think, for him there.
03:32The number two in the building.
03:33Yeah.
03:33They reassigned Elton Brand, apparently very well respected in the GM ranks there.
03:39But he's apparently going to go to the corporate office now and oversee more than just basketball.
03:46Here's my favorite part, Joe.
03:47You ever see the meme where, like, the old guy has the flannel shirt on and the family gives him
03:51the same flannel shirt and he's holding it side by side?
03:54Let's go to Yahoo Sports in this tweet here.
03:56How about this?
03:56The Timberwolves unveiled a franchise rebrand featuring new logos, color schemes, uniforms, and court designs.
04:02And they ask, what do you think about this new look?
04:05So if we post a new look, I don't know.
04:08Looks like the old look to me, Joe.
04:09What's new here?
04:11There is nothing new there.
04:13Kind of looks exactly the same, Donnie.
04:15Unless that's one of those Mandela effects, right?
04:18I don't know.
04:20I'm really not sure how that changes anything, Donnie.
04:24And pretty much the same thing.
04:26Unbelievable stuff.
04:27And by the way, you know what else is unbelievable?
04:29We're the only network here, Joe, and maybe host that tell you, the ratings are unbelievable.
04:36And we tell you, look, calm it down.
04:37New ratings started in September.
04:39Everything is up here.
04:40And nobody puts context on anything.
04:41Am I saying we're not enjoying the NHL and ratings should be high because the series is great?
04:45No, ratings should be high, and that's what it is.
04:46They're still inflated.
04:47Same thing with the NBA.
04:49Fantastic.
04:50We want to watch Wemby.
04:51We want to watch the New York Knicks.
04:52We want the series to go long.
04:53Ratings should be good.
04:54Are they inflated?
04:55Absolutely.
04:55But how about this from ESPN PR?
04:58This past Wednesday's matchup between the Spurs and Knicks, the most watched NBA Finals game since 2018.
05:0416.93 million average viewers, up 90% year over year.
05:08We are spiking.
05:09You'll get a general look next year when the NBA Finals is in again and have that year over year
05:14to see what it is.
05:15Not saying it's not good.
05:16Not saying we're not watching because we like the playoffs here, Joe.
05:19But somebody please, at least from major networks, put context on it.
05:23That's all we ask for.
05:25That's not going to happen, Donnie, in any way, shape, or form.
05:28They're just going to keep raising the – they're going to lower the bar and raise the ratings is what
05:33they're going to do.
05:34Now it's just going to be – as long as somebody can actually just sit on the scroll for more
05:42than a second, then, yes, it's going to be a viewer and the numbers are going to be astronomical.
05:47And that is going to continue now for the next couple of years.
05:52Like, Joe, are there going to be pieces like next year that go, I don't know what happened to the
05:57ratings in sports, but nobody's watching anymore without, again, any context?
06:00Because the one thing we do know, nothing continuously goes up.
06:04Like, we get that the NFL is going to be popular and more people might watch it year to year.
06:07And, hey, they're up 3% to 4%, and that's fine.
06:10But we don't just see jumps of 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% as if it's like, wow, I never
06:15knew the NBA existed.
06:16I never knew hockey existed.
06:18Baseball never tuned in until this year.
06:19I want to see those think pieces, Joe, next year.
06:22He goes, NBA's in a tough spot.
06:24Ratings didn't go up this year.
06:25Like, are they going to do the same thing there?
06:28Same thing.
06:29They're just going to keep moving the goalposts.
06:31You know that.
06:31They're going to redo the system.
06:33They're going to make some sort of tweak.
06:35They're going to recalibrate.
06:37They're going to readjust.
06:38No matter what, the advertisers who are now forking over 10x the amount of cost to advertise in these games,
06:46yeah, they will guarantee they'll figure out a way to make sure that the numbers are through the roof for
06:52the foreseeable future.
06:53You want ratings, Joe.
06:55You came to the right place tonight because it is game three.
06:59It is Madison Square Garden.
07:00Now, from a fan's perspective, me, I don't really care about the Knicks.
07:03I actually don't want them to win because I'm a Sixers fan.
07:05Spurs, I just want to see a long series.
07:07I would have loved it, Joe, if they came back to the Garden 1-1, a little bit more intrigue.
07:11But that place is going to be on fire.
07:12The Knicks don't want this to go back to San Antonio, and we get that.
07:16But Donald Trump's going to be in the building tonight, which makes this so much more fun to watch because
07:21you know he's going to be shown what the expectations are going to be set from the crowd and also
07:25security to get in.
07:27And if anybody's ever been to an event with the president in town, it's hard to get to the games
07:31because some of the roads are shut down.
07:33But Madison Square Garden is used to this.
07:35If there's one arena, Joe, that can handle the president in the building for an event, it's Madison Square Garden.
07:40It's what they do.
07:41But I know the fans are upset, like, hey, you can't have the watch parties outside, a little bit more
07:44security.
07:45But here's what I want to see, Joe, because you know as well as I do, the national media is
07:50going to be on this one.
07:51Now, hear me out on this.
07:52I'm pretty sure if Donald Trump goes to Rucker Park and he's like, okay, I'm going to sit courtside, he's
07:57going to hear it.
07:58Why?
07:58Because that's the common New York folk that will be in the building at Rucker Park, and I'm paying $8
08:02,000 to sit in the worst seat in the building.
08:05I'm interested to see the response that Donald Trump's going to get at Madison Square Garden because the tax bracket
08:11isn't your average New Yorker that's going to be in the building tonight, Joe.
08:15No, no, it's not.
08:17And let's be honest here, you probably would rather this happen in Game 3 than in Game 4, where the
08:25Knicks have a chance of actually closing them out.
08:27Then you can come back and have your watch parties and everything else.
08:31I'm still trying to figure out why the NBA, or the NHL for that matter, did not have a game
08:37last night, Donnie, on a Sunday night.
08:41I do not have a clue as to why they waited until tonight for this.
08:45Guys, we're going to watch this tonight, Joe, but hear me out on this.
08:496 p.m. or 7 p.m. tip time last night for the NBA.
08:55You own the night, and which, I don't know.
08:58It's just, but again, Joe, they don't like to make money for some apparent reason, and that's true.
09:01Let's go to the videotape, as we like to say, Joe.
09:04This is Carl Anthony Towns talking about Trump.
09:05As someone who grew up in the area, I just wonder if you have any thoughts about the first president
09:13to ever come to a finals game, being at the finals game tomorrow.
09:16I mean, we've got to be desperate for the fans.
09:20You know, the fans have earned the right and deserve the right to see finals basketball be played here at
09:25Madison Square Garden.
09:27And for this to be the first game in a long time that they've seen finals basketball, it's up to
09:34us to bring it.
09:36Give them something to cheer for, give them something to get loud for, and also give them something to believe
09:40in.
09:41I talked about the word hope.
09:44Hope has been brought back to the city.
09:47We've revitalized that word, but the worst success hasn't been seen in the city for a long time.
09:53So we have to continue to fight to bring that word back to fruition.
09:57What do you think, Joe, about Trump in the building?
10:00It's up to us.
10:01Let's bring that passion tonight.
10:02That was the answer we got.
10:03Look, as an athlete, probably a smart decision to make that because no matter what you said, you probably would
10:08lose a lot, win a little bit, win a little bit, lose a lot, whatever, right?
10:14I've been a Knick fan for the beginning, way before most Knick fans here, Donnie.
10:20So guys have come to see the game, a lot of guys have come to see who cares, what would
10:24move on.
10:25The bottom line is you got to win this game here, Knicks.
10:29You got to win this game.
10:30Don't take your foot off the gas, and he knows it, Cat.
10:33But they're going to have to answer a lot of those questions heading into the game tonight and, of course,
10:38in the post-press conference as well.
10:41Let me tell you something, Joe.
10:43They, talking about the Knicks, who were favored tonight to win this game after being heavy underdogs in the first
10:47two.
10:47Like, I don't know if San Antonio is even going to have a chance in game number four.
10:53Like, escaping New York with a victory in game number four, I don't think it's even going to be possible.
10:59Now, you know me.
10:59I like to be a contrarian better and probably will take the Spurs if they lose in game number three
11:03and game number four because nobody's going to take them.
11:06But I got to tell you, Joe, that game four and the energy around that arena, you know, the shame
11:11of it is, too, the Knicks will take it anyway, right?
11:13But sometimes when you're a new fan, like, you want your first to be, like, pins and needles.
11:17Like, for me, Joe, being an Eagles fan, to beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl in an
11:22unbelievable, crazy, back-and-forth game here, it felt so good.
11:25And, yes, it felt good to hammer the Kansas City Chiefs, where it was an easy blowout.
11:28But sometimes I feel like it would be cooler for the Knicks fans to win it in six in a
11:32close game, like, that whole struggle.
11:34But, heck, they can't any way they can get it here.
11:37Sports Talk coming up next right here on The Grid.
11:40It's a Monday here right on the Sports Grid Network.
11:42It's the early line rising and grinding with us.
11:45New week, new money, as we like to say.
11:47And hopefully we get some extended series here in the NHL and also in the NBA.
11:52It's your boy, Donnie Wright, along with Joe O'Neill.
11:54We welcome in Tom Vacchio on a Monday morning to heat things up.
11:57Tom, how was your weekend? How are we feeling today?
12:00I'm doing great, yeah.
12:01Like you said, we want to see these series go six or seven games, bringing us the best drum.
12:05Also, just give us more games to bet on overall.
12:07We don't want to see them turn to four or five-game series.
12:10But, nonetheless, I'm ready to roll.
12:13World Cup on the horizon as well.
12:15Tom starts this Thursday.
12:16But before we get there, Madison Square Garden, New York City, the epicenter of basketball.
12:23And tonight, you see the New York Knicks as a favorite.
12:25How about that?
12:26Minus two-and-a-half at most outlets here, Tom.
12:28And a total of 216-and-a-half.
12:31Entertaining games in one and two.
12:33Both went to the Knicks on the road against the Spurs.
12:36Now the pressure actually on the Knicks to perform in front of this rabid home audience tonight.
12:40What do we think happened tonight with the Spurs and the Knicks?
12:43You know, a lot of mixed feelings about this one.
12:45You know, the Knicks are five-and-a-half, six-and-a-half point road underdogs.
12:49They're not just covering those games.
12:50They're winning outright.
12:51And they're only two-and-a-half at home tonight.
12:53You know, a part of me thinks that's a little bit light.
12:55And another part of me wants to say, well, just take the road team because the road team has been
12:59covering.
12:59Take the under because we've seen a lot of lower score.
13:01Like, there's so many things going on.
13:03Ultimately, I think one of the best spots to be would be a Knicks in-game live number.
13:08If they fall down by ten, as they seemingly do, they're not only live to come back and cover whatever
13:13that number is, they're live to win.
13:15So, I don't mind taking the Spurs at two-and-a-half just because it's a road team.
13:20They have to bounce back.
13:21But if the Knicks fall down and you're giving me five-and-a-half or six in-game, I'm going
13:25to be looking to take that.
13:26Yeah.
13:28I would keep waiting for – both teams have room to grow here, it feels like, Tom.
13:34Both teams can play better, certainly offensively, but you're asking a very young team to go into one of the
13:40craziest venues that we will likely ever see in Madison Square Garden here tonight.
13:46What are the chances this thing does go over here tonight?
13:50You know, I wouldn't be surprised just because we are going to see some offensive positive regression from both teams,
13:56just a little bit better three-point shooting.
13:58You would like to think just because of how bad they've been, at least through certain stretches.
14:02But for me, for the Spurs, I've always thought, especially with their makeup and a lot of their depth players,
14:07Wemby can't do it all.
14:08It's got to be like a real all-hands-on-deck type of situation where everyone has to be knocking
14:13down enough shots where they can't – they don't have to turn to Wemby to make a game-winning shot.
14:18So, a little more from De'Aaron Fox, who's kind of been up and down, really, this entire series and
14:23a lot throughout the playoffs, a little more scoring from everyone, and that's where the Spurs will be live.
14:28And the same thing with the Knicks. Like, we saw Miles Bridges have a great game. He's knocking down a
14:32ton of threes.
14:32That's not sustainable, but everyone needs to chip in.
14:35Jose Alvarado coming off the bench is a steel machine.
14:38If you can get some type of steel prop on him, he's going to come away with one.
14:42Let me ask you a question on this, too, Tom, because we love when the market moves.
14:46Entering into this series, sure, the favorite was the San Antonio Spurs, which meant Wemby Yama was going to be
14:51– Wemby Yama was supposed to be the MVP and be the MVP favorite.
14:54Close behind. Obviously, the Knicks is an underdog. It was going to be Jalen Brunson.
14:58I look at the futures market right now, and look who's great on Brunson's tail.
15:02It's Carl Anthony Towns. So, let me ask you this question.
15:05Brunson's still the slight favorite. Let's call it plus 115, and Carl Anthony Towns, 165 if the Knicks do win.
15:11Brunson's statistics here, even though he dropped a lot of points in game number one, hasn't been all that efficient.
15:16Carl Anthony Towns has been really good.
15:18Is there a chance that this award just goes to Brunson as almost like that, yeah, you're our guy, our
15:23A1, and it was close.
15:25We'll give you the nod.
15:26What does Carl Anthony Towns have a legitimate chance to steal this if the Knicks win?
15:29He has a legitimate chance to steal it, and it comes down to the production that he limits from Wemby.
15:36Because it's not just about Carl Anthony Towns dropping 20 and 10, 25, and whatever it is.
15:40If he limits Wemby and shuts him down, they're going to say, okay, Brunson's been amazing.
15:44But now we have a player who's doing his part on offense and eliminating the best option on offense for
15:49the opposing team.
15:50That is a real argument to be made.
15:54Going to be interesting here.
15:56You know, Cat, you mentioned, now all of a sudden playing out of his mind.
16:01The bench, though, to your point of San Antonio, where are they here?
16:06And because if it ain't Wemby, who's it got to be here?
16:11Harper?
16:11Like, who is the guy we should concentrate on the San Antonio bench has got to show up?
16:17To me, it can't just be one player.
16:18It's got to be a little bit of Castle.
16:20It's got to be a little bit of Harper.
16:22Champagny has been knocking down threes as we saw to close out the Thunder series.
16:25Like, it has to be all of them doing that part.
16:27So, you know, some of those numbers I think are okay.
16:29But to me, it just might be a hot-hand thing.
16:31If they get rolling in the first quarter, a live player prop, we know some of those numbers can be
16:34a little bit inflated.
16:35But they have to turn to someone outside of Wemby.
16:38Like, the pick and roll that they're doing with Fox, they have to have that third option that they can
16:42pass to.
16:44It's a Monday, fun day, right on the Sports Grid Network.
16:47The early line, big-time action tonight.
16:51Famous people in the building.
16:52And also, that superstar road down there, courtside.
16:55I'm interested to see who's going to be there.
16:57I don't think Trump's going to sit courtside.
16:59He'll probably be up somewhere in the, you know, maybe on the Chase Bridge with his boy James Dolan.
17:03We'll find out tonight.
17:04But you want to talk ratings?
17:06Tonight, you're going to get those ratings here.
17:08Now, the NBA, which you know, guys, I don't want to enjoy in the regular season.
17:11I like the NBA playoffs.
17:12I can't wait for tonight's game.
17:13But also, I don't want this to be a Knicks victory tonight.
17:16I don't want the Knicks to win in four.
17:18Not because I don't like the Knicks here.
17:19It's just because I just want to see more basketball to carry us out.
17:22It's DRS.
17:23It's Joe Waniere.
17:24And let's welcome in Kevin Walsh.
17:25As a fan of the game that you are, and you do NDA shows and basketball shows on the network,
17:31don't you?
17:31Like, it's going to be a big story if the Knicks win in four.
17:34Yes, it's going to be an unbelievable parade.
17:36I can't have that.
17:37If the Knicks are going to win, Kevin, at least give me Knicks in six.
17:39No?
17:39I thought it would be Knicks in six.
17:43In the moment, it feels more Knicks in five than Knicks in six.
17:50I mean, if you think back to when the Knicks stunned Boston a postseason ago,
17:58that series pattern was two close, gutty wins in Boston,
18:07drop game three back at home, have everybody go,
18:11uh-oh, if the Knicks lose game four, this series is up.
18:15And then the Knicks won game four.
18:17Game five actually got smoked back in Boston,
18:19and then they closed the series out in six at home.
18:23So I think that is still on the board, absolutely.
18:28As somebody who played the Knicks plus a game and a half,
18:31and then minus a game and a half, and minus two and a half,
18:35if they want to get this done in four, I'm not really going to complain.
18:40But I've felt that this was a Spurs spot pretty much since game number two
18:46came to a close here.
18:48This feels like San Antonio finally gets theirs,
18:51probably with their best offensive showing so far in this series.
18:58I mean, we're leaning it over here, Kev,
19:01because both teams can certainly play better offensively than what we've gotten to this point.
19:06So is this the game where we finally get an offensive back and forth?
19:11You know, it's so interesting, Joe.
19:13I know you're well aware, because I remember you were on the total in game two,
19:19and the number just kept climbing, climbing, climbing.
19:22Like, very clearly, they, to betters, over-adjusted from game one to game two towards the under,
19:30and they had to move that thing back up.
19:32They've adjusted down a bit, not as much.
19:37I tend to think this is an over game,
19:40but I think I find myself deciding more so between the Spurs straight or a Spurs team total over.
19:49And it's not that the Knicks can't score 120, right, or anything.
19:55I think it's just I've been thinking Spurs the whole way.
19:59But do I actually want to bet against this team at home on this streak?
20:04You know, the old DRS team total style, right?
20:07Spurs score 110, you know, and you turn the game off.
20:10I'm not going to turn the game off, but you kind of get what I'm saying here.
20:13So that's what I'm, you know, thinking through this morning here on game three.
20:19Yeah, and I love atmospheres.
20:21Like, part of sports is, oh, I can't wait to see how rabid or crazy that fan base is going
20:25to be tonight
20:26when everything that's circumstantial goes around it.
20:28We had a video that we played from Carl Anthony Townsend.
20:31Hey, it's up to us to bring that energy early.
20:32And if they do, it's going to crescendo.
20:34It's going to get louder and louder.
20:36And all of a sudden, you can taste a world championship for the first time since 1973.
20:40We had Tom Vecchio on a little bit earlier here, Kevin, and I asked him a couple of the same
20:43questions.
20:44First one I want to start with you is, it's an 0-2 series here for the Spurs.
20:48They're not coming back home.
20:49It's like, okay, let's even the playing field.
20:51Let's get a win on game three on our home court and see from here.
20:53You're in New York, Madison Square Garden.
20:55You're now the underdog when you were the primitive favorite in the first two games.
20:59Kevin, I look at the championship odds to win this series.
21:02The Knicks, minus 500.
21:03The Spurs, plus 385.
21:05I'm not asking you to say, yeah, well, yeah, I'll take minus 500 on the Knicks.
21:08They're up 2-0.
21:09But is there a chance that you can get back in with the Spurs where they can make this a
21:14series
21:14and maybe even push it six?
21:16Because right now, I'm looking and saying, I don't know if I believe in it.
21:19And then again, it's still a young team on the road in a hornet's nest tonight, Kevin.
21:23Yeah, I don't think the Spurs to win the title prices are all that tempting
21:28because history tells us they've lost the title already.
21:33They became the third team to go down 2-0 with home court advantage in the finals.
21:37And those prior teams did not win the series, obviously.
21:44That's just how it goes.
21:47So I think it was Charles Barkley and Phoenix against MJ, and I think Shaq's Magic up against,
21:55I believe, what would have been Hakeem, probably in tight order.
21:59Teams don't really go down 2-0 at home in the finals.
22:04But it's the spot that they've found themselves in here.
22:08I think to complete that comeback, you would want to chase bigger outcomes.
22:14But again, I would almost, Donnie, rather bet Spurs in six
22:19if you were going to make me bet a Spurs positive outcome.
22:25But I'm not.
22:25I'm not all too interested in that.
22:27I think the Knicks in five, Donnie, is probably a more tempting bet
22:30based on the live series options right now.
22:33I'll tell you the other thing, though, that's still wrong, in my opinion,
22:35is the pricing of the finals MVP stuff.
22:38Like, I understand that Brunson's going to have better games,
22:41but the gap right now is not close between Cat and Brunson in the series.
22:45Brunson has been flat bad outside of one quarter.
22:48He's had one good quarter of basketball.
22:50This has not been an MVP finals conversation between these two players.
22:57Kind of crazy, though, isn't it?
22:59Right?
22:59Like Cat and Brunson, but again, it just feels like
23:02more of a popularity contest than anything else.
23:05Right?
23:06I don't know, because the voters...
23:09Listen, you know, ask your guy, Pat, behind the scenes
23:13if it's a popularity contest.
23:15Unless secretly everybody likes Jalen Brown and hates Jason Tatum,
23:18and I didn't...
23:19I don't...
23:20You know what I mean?
23:21Unless Pascal Siakam is secretly everyone's beloved boy
23:25and Halliburton upset everybody.
23:27Like, no, I don't think it is...
23:29But let me just tell you guys this,
23:32and everybody watching and listening.
23:33It's one of the rare spots you can't trust the odds.
23:38The odds have now consistently gotten these markets wrong.
23:43And I don't mean entering a series.
23:45I mean there's two minutes left in the final closeout game,
23:50and they have the wrong person favored.
23:52We've seen it before.
23:55Nick's Twitter going to be on fire tonight.
23:57Could it be a 3-0 series lead in a coronation party at the Garden?
24:01We'll find out what gets Kevin on In Game Live this week,
24:04and he's going to be getting you ready for the World Cup as well.
24:06But before we do that, let's see what the public's talking about.
24:09And I'll fade the public poll.
24:18Nick Spurs are what we're talking about tonight.
24:20And you see some of the early looks there.
24:22The Knicks, 75%.
24:23And rightfully so.
24:24They are the public favorite, it feels like, right now, to win this game.
24:27But if I take a look, Joe, at some of those betting splits,
24:32the San Antonio Spurs getting close to 55% of those tickets here.
24:36I don't like anything of what the Spurs have done in games one, game two,
24:39because they haven't won.
24:40And now you're on the road in game number three.
24:42But, you know, I like to be a little bit contrarian here, Joe.
24:44But I still think the Knicks do win tonight.
24:46How about you?
24:48Yeah, I mean, it's going to be interesting because it depends on how this game starts, Donnie.
24:55I think that's the key to what we have to watch here tonight.
24:59But it's no secret, Donnie, the Spurs, we said they were young.
25:03But it's finally caught up with them.
25:06The inexperience, they have looked like a deer caught in the headlights
25:10on a number of important, you know, spots in these first two games.
25:15I don't know that that's good.
25:16That was at home, Donnie.
25:18What are they going to do in Madison Square Garden here tonight?
25:21Exactly.
25:22That's going to be on fire tonight.
25:23Get there early.
25:25Get everything scanned and screened.
25:27Get your ticket.
25:27And we'll see how it comes up.
25:28And again, I want to see how expensive these price points actually hit
25:31by the time you get close to game time.
25:32But it's time, Joe, new week, new Monday to get the week started off in style.
25:36Here comes Best Bets and bye, bye, bye.
25:44Take it away, Joe.
25:45What do we got?
25:47Well, Donnie, we'll go to that NBA game here tonight.
25:50And listen, we went with the over on Friday and that didn't work out
25:56because nobody can hit a free throw or a three.
25:58But if you like the Spurs to make this a series, I don't see how any of this happens
26:05without them scoring at least 110 points.
26:08Their team total is 107, 107 and a half here, Donnie.
26:13The first one to 110 is going to win this game.
26:17This is not going to be a 105-100 kind of game.
26:20I think we do get more offense from both teams here tonight.
26:24But I think 107 and a half is a little bit light here for San Antonio.
26:28So I will take their team total up and over tonight in this one.
