As Lebanon on June 1 announced a partial ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, international leaders found blame for both parties during a United Nations Security Council meeting.

According to Lebanon's embassy in Washington, the new agreement will not end the conflict and will call for Israel to refrain from strikes on Beirut and its suburbs controlled by Hezbollah, while the Iran-aligned group will halt its attacks on Israel.

00:39Israel's presence north of the blue line
00:42is a clear violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity
00:46as well as of Security Council Resolution 1701.
00:51Israeli forces must withdraw to south of the blue line.
00:56Hezbollah and other non-state armed groups in Lebanon must disarm
01:00and cooperate with government efforts to extend state security
01:04and assert a state monopoly over the use of force.
01:08The possession and use of weapons outside of state control
01:14is a clear violation of Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701.
01:22The Lebanese armed forces are the only legitimate armed force in Lebanon.
01:27These developments mark a dangerous and alarming escalation,
01:31directly undermining the cessation of hostilities understanding
01:35announced by the United States on 16th April
01:39and eroding fragile diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation.
01:44Hezbollah has not only rejected the Lebanese government's demands for a ceasefire,
01:50it has even recently threatened to overthrow it.
01:53So let's let that sink in.
01:55The only conclusion we can draw is that their backers, the Iranian regime,
02:03has ordered its proxy to drag this conflict out
02:06so it can claim credit for, quote, saving the day
02:09and derail progress towards a peace agreement
02:12in the recent historic direct talks.
02:16This is a global community.
02:17We must reject this cynicism.
03:10Le plus important thing is for the state of Lebanon,
03:15the Lebanese armed forces and state security services
03:19to have the monopoly of arms like in any other country
03:24in order to protect their own borders.
03:26Le plus important thing is qu'il y a certain reach
03:28dans la question de la République.
03:34He is the one who is changing your mind of the public.
03:39The new person is not allowed to be a member of the public.
03:44The government is the same.
03:49The public comment is not allowed to be a member of the public.
03:57In addition, the truth is the case that is always in our region
04:02is a threat to the destruction of every region of the government
04:06for the destruction of the government.
04:11One of the very important reasons of the destruction of the government
04:15in the last days in Lebanon is not possible to be something
04:22without the same amount of the use of every activity, every pursuit of the government
04:29and diplomatical groups will not be able to do the same type of activity.
04:35And this is also the responsibility for the U.S. administration.
04:38We can't even consider the U.S. and the security regime
04:41as a result of the two of us.
04:46Please, please.
