A 61-year-old man who went missing while searching for bird's nests in Gua Tepadung on May 26 was found safe near an oil palm plantation in Lahad Datu on Wednesday (June 3).

Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station chief Sumsoa Rashid said the victim, identified as Ismail Ibrahim, was found alive but in a weakened condition.

00:48The operation was intensified on Wednesday with the deployment of the Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team of Malaysia, STORM,
00:56which conducted searches inside the cave shortly before the missing man was located.
