A man has been sentenced to 26 months in jail for hurling stones at moving vehicles along Jalan Setiapuspa near the SPRINT Highway in Bukit Damansara.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Hoo Chang Hook said six police reports were lodged by victims on Tuesday (June 2), all claiming that a man had thrown stones at their vehicles.

00:27The victim received treatment at a private clinic and was reported to be in stable condition, while the other victims
00:34were not injured.
00:36Police estimated the total losses suffered by the victims at more than 20,000 ringgit.
00:42Following investigations, police swiftly arrested the suspect and seized a waste bag containing several stones and a modified pair of
00:50scissors believed to have been used as a weapon.
00:53Background checks revealed that the suspect had eight previous criminal offences and one drug-related offence.
01:01ACP Hu added that police opened six investigation papers under Section 427 and Section 323 of the Penal Code,
01:12as well as Section 6, Subsection 1 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substanceses and Offensive Weapons Act, 1958.

01:29resulting in the suspect being charged and sentenced to 26 months' imprisonment.
