00:08vehicle along the Telipid-Ranao Road on Wednesday afternoon. Telipid District Civil Defense Officer
00:14Lieutenant P.A. Sopihan Mohamed said the incident was reported at about 2.32 p.m.
00:21A four-member team was immediately dispatched to the scene to clear the obstruction and assist
00:27road users. Upon arrival, the team found that the fallen tree had struck a container lorry and
00:34blocked both directions of the road. Rescue personnel used a chainsaw, crowbar and parang to
00:40remove the tree and ensure the route was safe for traffic. The road was successfully cleared
00:45and access restored for motorists. The incident occurred amid adverse weather conditions in parts
00:51of Sabah, with the Malaysian Meteorological Department issuing a thunderstorm warning for
00:57several districts, including Telipid and Ranau.
