Bukit Aman has recorded statements from former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki for two cases.

Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk M. Kumar said that the former MACC chief had been called in for statements on the alleged threat against businessman Albert Tei and for a Bloomberg article regarding share ownership with Velocity Capital Partner Berhad.

00:20that Azam was questioned over allegations involving a threat against businessman Albert
00:25Tay as well as a Bloomberg report related to share ownership involving Velocity Capital
00:31partner Berhad. He said both investigation papers will be referred to the Attorney General's
00:37chambers in the near future for further advice and instructions in accordance with Article
00:42145 Subsection 3 of the Federal Constitution. Kumar stressed that police remain committed
00:50to ensuring transparency and integrity in all investigations and will not compromise with
00:56any individual found to have violated the law. He also urged the public not to speculate on
01:03the cases, warning that such actions could interfere with ongoing investigations. Earlier, Azam confirmed
01:10that he had provided his statement to Bukit Aman, with the session lasting approximately two hours.
