00:00So, Kevin, earlier in the week, we finally got our first indication as to what the collective bargaining agreement battle
00:07may look like here.
00:08And it doesn't look like we're headed toward a solution anytime soon.
00:11But I have a feeling every Sunday here on the show, we'll be talking about it quite a bit.
00:15You know, I don't know.
00:16What did you gain out of it?
00:17I didn't gain all that much.
00:19I just kind of felt like one group took a shot.
00:21The other group took a shot, too, just to kind of get the ball rolling here a little bit.
00:25There's going to be negativity no matter what they say, even if they agreed there would be negativity.
00:28It's just the way the world is.
00:30But I didn't feel like we're getting any closer to anything, but at least we understand what they're looking for.
00:35Yeah, Craig, I think someone like you who knows kind of the parties involved will be able to get a
00:39better sense of the closeness of the deal.
00:44I'm just trying to react to the numbers as much as I can and see how it relates to the
00:49way the league is operating right now.
00:50And the Jesse Rogers tweet from a couple of days ago that referenced a $171.2 million floor, I believe
01:00half the league spends less than that.
01:03So it's very interesting to me.
01:05Like we talk about a lot of people, I think, with the salary cap focus on the Dodgers side of
01:10things.
01:10I'm sure you guys here obviously go both sides of it all.
01:13But the fact that half the league, like the Rays, okay, we expect that, right?
01:19There are certain teams.
01:2150% of the league is going to have to increase payroll.
01:24Like that's a big story.
01:26That might lead to a big time evening of the deck because these teams have no choice now but to
01:36spend tens of millions of dollars annually to meet that floor.
01:42No?
