I show a July 10th, 2023 job posting for a Physician by AFC (American Family Care) Urgent Care at Cahaba Village (3000 Cahaba Village Pl STE 110, Birmingham, AL 35243) (near Mountain Brook).

According to medical records (see video), I was a patient under the care of MD Christopher Blake Thomas who previously worked in this location. In 2022 I attempted to contact this doctor and was told he was "in clinic" (with a patient) and could not speak to me. I am then transferred to office manager "Sadler" (a pseudonym). I later discovered this was actually Dr. Blake Thomas using a false name. He proceeded to tell me he heard the receptionist say the MD was in clinic. This was a lie, I was speaking to him. I found many staff in AFC use pseudonyms (nicknames) and this video shows this practice is already being abused. All the real first and last names of medical clinic staff need to be posted up front in lobby and freely given to patients and customers upon request.

I recently discovered a medical clinic office manager I had spoken with in May, 2022 at AFC (American Family Care) Urgent Care Cahaba Village (3000 Cahaba Village Pl STE 110, Birmingham, AL 35243), using the nickname "Sadler" is actually State Of Alabama licensed medical doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas MD. In my recorded calls in this video you will hear he refused to give me his first and last name when asked.

I cite a television interview (https://www.wvtm13.com/article/mountain-brook-doctor-sees-big-surge-in-covid-patients-at-clinic/37165650) with WVTM NBC 13 & play my telephone recordings back to back, the voices are identical.

I called this clinic trying to speak with Dr. Blake Thomas MD, whose name appears on medical records from a misdiagnosed X-Ray I had in 2019 but was only allowed to speak to this "office manager". I was told no injuries appeared there but almost died a few months later when 6 inches diameter of infection set into my jaw and head (visible in subsequent MRI). I obtained my records from this visit & a several inch diameter anomaly is visible in the same area where broken skull bone and infection appears in other images. AFC would not help me get this error corrected, I paid $175 for the visit.

I find these practices to be unprofessional in a business sense and medically unethical.

I found AFC American Family Care Urgent Care staff uses Pseudonyms / nicknames / single names in their clinics. "Sadler" / "Saddler" who claimed to be the office manager of Cahaba Village clinic refused to give me his first and last name (red flag / scam alert). The websites of this clinic do not mention who their staff and doctors are. Birmingham, AL.

After 1 month of trying to call American Family Care (AFC) urgent care in Birmingham, Alabama, I was told by office manager "Sadler" of Cahaba Village (near Mountain Brook), Birmingham, Alabama that there is nothing they will do to correct a misdiagnosed 2019 X-Ray I had taken.
Transcript
00:00All right, heads up YouTube, the AFC American Family Care Urgent Care Clinic located in Cahaba Village near Mountain Brook.
00:11This is technically in Birmingham, Alabama.
00:15They have recently posted on July 10, 2023, a job opening for a physician in this location.
00:28Now, previously, this has been the practice of Dr. Christopher Blake Thomas, EMD.
00:41And I was a patient under Dr. Blake Thomas' care in 2019.
00:49To see everything that happened to me regarding my experience with this doctor and this medical practice,
00:56you can see my documentation at YouTube channel, My Medical Nightmare.
01:04Back in May 2022, I tried to contact this doctor whose name appeared on the top of medical records that
01:18I requested from American Family Care.
01:22And this was in regards to a misdiagnosed x-ray of my skull that I had done in 2019.
01:35Blake Thomas, MD's name, appears here as supervising the nurse that facilitated the x-ray in the AFC Clinic.
01:45This is Kimberly Kelley.
01:47And he should have also been checking over the work of radiologist Dr. Anna Maria Echnik, MDDABR,
01:58which the x-ray was outsourced to through Xperity.
02:03You call the phone number under this doctor's name on the radiologist report.
02:11It leads to Xperity.
02:12This doctor and subsequently the nurse told me I had no injuries appear in this x-ray.
02:22I'll put the actual images in this video so you can see the truth regarding this matter.
02:30I have around a 3-inch in diameter translucent oval here.
02:36This is visible in a standard x-ray.
02:39No contrast was used in this scan.
02:42Subsequently, I discovered in further MRI and CT that I had broken the underside of my skull.
02:50And the translucent oval that you can see in the AFC and Xperity x-ray, this shows up as infection
02:59surrounding the main wound.
03:01I tried to contact this doctor to get this x-ray scan looked at again because I paid $175 for
03:11this visit and I got a misdiagnosis here.
03:15This is not helpful if you're a medical patient seeking treatment with doctors and nurses, in this case licensed in
03:29the state of Alabama.
03:30I found that this doctor was located at the American Family Care Clinic in Cava Village off Highway 280 in
03:40Birmingham.
03:41I tried to call this doctor's office.
03:45It was then that I found out by talking to the receptionist.
03:50Every individual that worked in this location that I spoke with, they used a nickname, a false name, or a
04:03pseudonym.
04:03In trying to reach Dr. Blake Thomas, MD, I was put in touch with an individual who identified himself as
04:15the office manager of this clinic.
04:18And he went by the name Sadler.
04:21S-A-D-D-L-E-R.
04:23I later found out after my call with this office manager that I was, in fact, speaking with the state
04:35of Alabama licensed medical doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas, who I was trying to reach in the first place.
04:43So he gave a false name.
04:45And I found this out very simply.
04:48You can hear my recorded calls with this individual.
04:53And Dr. Blake Thomas gave a television interview with Birmingham, Alabama, TV station WVTM, Channel 13.
05:03Listen to the two voices, and they are identical.
05:07I believe that a medical doctor identifying himself under a pseudonym is against the law in Alabama.
05:16And possibly other jurisdictions as well.
05:20This is a type of fraud.
05:23I'm not very happy about my experience dealing with this individual.
05:29Yeah, in trying to get that x-ray and the misdiagnosis looked at again, the office manager, again, a false
05:39identity that this doctor was using.
05:41He told me that he could do nothing to help me fix this situation.
05:49No refund of my $175.
05:53He wouldn't go to the medical doctor or Xperity and have this situation looked at or reversed.
06:02He told me on the phone, you can hear this recorded, there's nothing he was going to be able to
06:06do to help me fix this situation.
06:09And this is real bad news because that injury that I had, I almost died for him in 2019.
06:15This is totally unacceptable as a medical patient.
06:19AFC as well, I contacted.
06:22They would not help me with this situation.
06:24I talked to Xperity.
06:26They would not help me fix this situation or correct this.
06:30And basically, I was ripped off as a customer and a medical patient.
06:35I went to the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners and filed complaints in this situation.
06:42They would do nothing to help me with their oversight.
06:47Totally useless.
06:48They're lazy.
06:49If you're a doctor out there and you're interested in taking this job, please bear in mind my story.
06:56Bear in mind that you may have to use a fake name when you talk to the public and patients.
07:02And this is unacceptable.
07:04No doctor worth their salt should work for this place.
07:06No person seeking medical treatment should go to a place with doctors who are using fake names.
07:12I mean, this is totally ridiculous.
07:162023.
07:162023.
07:17United States of America and this stuff's going on.
07:21People have got to stand up to this nonsense.
