04:08how are we feeling about those first four games for the cleveland browns mary kay cabot was on the
04:13station earlier today and while everyone's talking about how easy of a schedule the browns have
04:20mary kay and she didn't say it's not true but she said it might be a little deceiving you got

04:26teams on that slate that went eight and nine and some of those teams had quarterback issues where
04:33they lost their quarterback for the season like the falcons did you look at the colts and daniel
04:38jones ruptured in achilles and missed the final four games those teams were on the cusp of making
04:42the playoffs so yes the browns are only facing three winning teams from 2025 and three teams that
04:49made the playoffs but there are extenuating circumstances when you look at what these teams
04:54might possibly become in 2026 you've got john harbaugh coaching the giants you'll have jackson
05:00dart in his second season you've got two other 2025 draft picks that are quarterbacks moving into their
05:07second seasons in cam ward with the titans and tyler shuck with the saints you look at the raiders
05:13you've got fernando mendoza who knows what he'll be able to do in his first season so strength of
05:19schedule doesn't always hold up the way that it looks at the beginning of the season and i think there
05:23are some reasons to believe that maybe it might not be quite as easy as it looks so i think
05:28that's
05:29a fair point which is effectively hey you don't really know until you get into the season and even
05:33then like you start the season and the first eight games go exactly as you think they do and then
05:39the
05:39last it and you know nine games kind of fall apart totally understand that you got it when we go
05:44to
05:45what everyone's projections say when we go to the the travel side of this even when you look at the
05:51schedule as it's laid out i'm not saying it's easy but it certainly looks like like i don't think
05:57this is deceiving in the fact that i think it's secretly going to be tough i think this is still
06:02going to be one of the fair like to me it's not well it's going to go from one of
06:06the five easiest
06:07to the five hardest maybe get in the middle section of of you know strength of schedule and in the
06:13end
06:13you should still do well against that yeah you should even like last year there's so many so many parts
06:17of last year's schedule that by the time we actually got to play the games it was like oh
06:21like jacksonville for instance like oh they're okay they're they're better than people thought
06:24like there's all sorts of teams that always ends up doing that uh by the way i get what you're
06:28saying
06:28now because it updated for me yeah and so here we are so we have it all uh at least

06:36the three straight home games out of the buy yeah that's not bad it's tougher teams all things
06:44considered we don't know what mendoza will be i rather would i would have played fernando mendoza
06:47it's got uh las vegas in week 12 cincy week 13 and then atlanta in week 14 i would have

06:54played fernando mendoza earlier also we might have avoided we might have avoided fernando mendoza if
06:59we'd played him earlier i think fernando mendoza if he plays this year and i think he will play this
07:05year but i i think if fernando i would be really surprised if fernando came in and just took the
07:10league by storm i'm just kind of yeah no i'm with you but i'm getting real drake may jacoby brissette
07:14vibes out of what the uh out of what they're going to do because the patriots played i think jacoby
07:18played like what four games or somewhere around there and then it was like then they're on to i
07:22just i get those vibes in a big way i don't think he's going to stink but i wouldn't be

07:27surprise that that's just not a very good team around him and i think so it's interesting i think
07:32you're in the kind of goldilocks zone where i think you lock in the fact you're very likely to see
07:37fernando mendoza and i also think it's still because i don't think he's going to play the
07:42full year because i think he is in a in a situation that is less than great wouldn't surprise me

07:48getting them week 12 was actually especially on the road it ends up being a good thing for you week
07:53five to week nine four out of the five games are on the road it is i mean in terms
07:57of this is a year
07:58where if you could just flip it and you had nine home games and eight road games i i would

08:04about three percent better about this but uh yeah there's nothing about this and i think you made
08:09this point earlier there's nothing about this that makes me fret no no but again there's nothing
08:15about this that i'm really leaning into and going well it feels it feels super easy the interest the
08:20other interesting part about this uh if it's since a week 11 buys what they have here that is that
08:25is not a perfect split but it is a nice transition time if you want to go from deshaun to
08:31shador or
08:32even if like shador gets sweats you get sure for 10 games and if he's not living up to it
08:36then uh week 11 on you get to go ahead and try something else yeah and because you have i
08:41want
08:41to say six of your first 10 games are on the road then you go to the bye in week
08:4711 and then you have
08:48it's again it's not easy because you have multiple times where you're stacking road games being able to
08:53stack a bye into basically a month without leaving cleveland uh i think that's a nice little little
08:59bit there too at the at a tougher part of the schedule yeah no question about it
