It was a bitter sweet experience for runners competing in the Trinidad and Tobago Midnight Marathon. A total of 358 athletes completed the 26.2 mile course which started at the Queen's Park Oval. In the end the defending champions reclaimed their crowns. Alex Ekesa regained the title for the men while Colombian Palmenia Berrio regained the women's crown.

00:19As a main sponsor of the Midnight Marathon Series, I think it was important for me this year to really
00:26ensure that I complete all three of the races.
00:29So we did the 10k two months ago, we did the midnight half a month ago, and tonight I will
00:36be doing my first ever full marathon.
00:39Expect for us to be here supporting the runners, that's what we do, we bring the vibes, we are really
00:44elated to be a part of it, to be embraced by the community and we're going to continue to do
00:49that.
