00:00We're at Atwater Park in the village of Lake Corian. This is one of the three hydration stations in the
00:04township.
00:05Great Lakes Water Authority have their water truck here and the volunteers are filling the gallon bags as residents pull
00:10up to get whatever they can.
00:12Many residents now only have a trickle coming out of their taps and that needs to be boiled before use.
00:17The water in these bags, well that's as good as it gets in these youngsters from Lake Corian High School.
00:21No school today for them and for the foreseeable future.
00:24So as senior Owen Kurth says, why not help out our neighbours? Take a listen.
00:28No school for us, so we're out here volunteering, just trying to help the community because I feel like everyone's
00:34in this rush to figure out what to do.
00:36No water for a day, well that's bad, but essentially no water for two weeks? These folks are in for
00:41the long haul.
00:42Good job kids stepping up and helping out.
