00:00This is WWJ reporter Tim Pamplin, an absolute disaster playing out in Orion Township and areas around Orion Township today
00:07as the only water supply coming in from the Great Lakes Water Authority has now ruptured.
00:12Here's Township Supervisor Chris Barnett.
00:13This is a very serious situation and we need your attention.
00:17If you know someone that lives in our 36 square miles, we're asking you to reach out to them.
00:23Because we have a very scarce resource.
00:27Water stopped flowing to our community.
00:30At about 1.30 a.m., our businesses are struggling.
00:32I've already heard a couple of restaurant owners in tears about how many tens of thousands of dollars they're going
00:38to lose on this day alone.
00:39Unless you are providing life-saving services for our residents, we are asking you to not use water.
00:46Barnett says once the water inside this water tower is gone, well, that's it.
00:50There is no more.
00:51Great Lakes Water Authority are on the scene.
00:53They're trying their repairs, trying to fix this ASAP, but they're saying this could take up to two weeks.
