00:12Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we are here to take a look at the 10 hardest bosses to face off
00:18against in Crimson Desert. Steal yourself, lock in, and prepare for the coup de grace with these
00:23brutal boss battles. Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe
00:35and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos. Gregor the Halberd of Carnage.
00:50Now, you might expect an armor-clad brute like Gregor to be slow and lumbering. However,
00:55that couldn't be farther from the truth. Gregor is lightning fast with loads of devastating attacks.
01:01As he zips around the fort ironclad boss arena, it's pretty darn clear you're going to need to
01:07bring your A-game if you hope to best him. Since Gregor has a penchant for strong melee hits,
01:12given his weapon of choice, the Halberd, it's imperative to parry, parry, and parry some more
01:17in order to gain an opening. It's the way Gregor just constantly switches up his attacks
01:23that makes his boss fight truly challenging, always forcing you to dodge, use blinding flash,
01:28and even luring him around the arena to destroy some of the devious traps strewn about.
01:42Gregor this is the price of the path you chose. Hex Marie.
01:55Gregor this darkly ominous two-part boss battle is intense and harrowing, not only because of the
02:01spooky setting, but because of Hex Marie's diabolic demeanor and words. The first part is challenging,
02:08since it's such a close quarters battle of powers. Her using her dark magic and shadow crows,
02:13and Cliff using his heavy attacks and melee prowess to, hopefully, stagger her for a brutal blow or two.
02:20Part two is really where this boss battle gets taken up a notch or two, since it's all about
02:25consistent crowd control, as Hex Marie sends out her devious minions to smother you. Fighting off her
02:31cronies is no easy feat here, especially since you still need to be able to get hits of your own
02:36on her,
02:37when an opening hopefully presents itself. Don't let her deceptive words get to you,
02:42she is no friend of Cliff.
02:52Corrupted Caliburn.
02:56Surrender and be made part of my design.
03:04There's simply no denying this boss battle high up in the abyss is truly epic, one for the ages.
03:10As light and shadow play on the walls and floors of the arena as time flows by quickly, you must
03:16contend
03:16with Caliburn's intense motive to remove you as an obstacle in his path. This, of course, means Cliff is
03:23going to face down a relentless barrage of hyper powerful attacks. Caliburn can lay waste with his
03:29close quarters attacks, his shadow self abilities, his aerial long range blows, and his sorcery filled
03:36AoE carnage. It's a lot, for sure, and it requires you to constantly stay vigilant as you work to cut
03:42down his three distinct health bars. Dodging will be your best friend here, since he doesn't give you
03:47much time to reposition after he comes for you. Time your melee attacks from behind if you get the
03:53chance, mind you, and you will be able to whittle away his health bars in a matter of time. Stay
03:58vigilant,
03:59grey mane. Reed Devil
04:19This is easily one of the toughest bosses you will face during the first part of the game,
04:24at least for many players out there. It's an exercise in patience and skill that many
04:29Crimson Desert players may not be ready for. In the beautiful Reed Wind Valley, Cliff will happen
04:34upon the cunning and nefarious Reed Devil. Here's hoping you didn't get enough of the Reed Devil
04:39minions prior to the fight, because this boss is here to epitomize their terror and tenacity.
04:45Like many Crimson Desert bosses, this one is a multi-phase battle. This fight is especially tough
04:50because of the Reed Devil's relentless speed and his powerful totems. Using Force Palm to stun this boss
04:56will be hyper-important if you want to slow him down a bit. Then, utilizing Turning Slash to swiftly
05:02destroy the totems can help turn the tides in your favor. No matter the outcome, the Reed Devil's battle
05:07is truly diabolical.
05:27The terrifying battle against the ape-like behemoth within the confines of Hernan Castle will make your
05:34blood boil and your heart pound. This dude is just brute strength personified. Not only can K'roosh the
05:41Slayer utilize pummeling and ferocious combos that are incredibly hard to dodge, it can also pounce onto
05:47the walls in order to get a better scope of both you and the arena, in order to dole out
05:52more damage.
05:52Oh, and don't even try using your shield here, it won't do you any good. Waiting for the lag time
05:58between
05:58its combos is one of the only surefire ways to get some much needed sword swipes on this baddie.
06:04When he uses his aerial slam ability, Cliff can also have a brief opening for some damage. But again,
06:10trying to successfully dodge out of harm's way is not going to be easy, really only working if you
06:16can manage to dodge backwards, away from his combos. This is a battle of attrition that never lets up.
06:29Ludvig slash Awaken Ludvig.
06:38This electrically charged boss fight is difficult largely because of its beefy two-phase structure,
06:44where the second phase dramatically escalates both speed and aggression,
06:48and loads upon loads of electricity aimed right at Cliff. Now in the first phase, Ludvig already
06:53pressures you with tight attack windows and some deceptive timing, forcing careful stamina and
06:58positioning management. Once awakened and extra angry, his moveset expands with wider AOE attacks
07:05and faster combos that punish hesitation, which is easy to do of course when you're stressed,
07:10making defensive play much harder to sustain here. This fight also demands quick adaptation,
07:16since many of his second phase attacks resemble earlier patterns, but have altered timing or even
07:22added effects, such as the aforementioned electricity, that can catch you off guard and
07:26strike without much warning. Combined with high damage output and limited recovery opportunities,
07:32the encounter tests both mechanical precision and pattern recognition under sustained pressure,
07:37so let the sparks fly.
07:49Mayurden, the Avatar of Umbra.
08:01The embodiment of dark desires, the chorus of humanity, yada yada yada. Mayurden spouts out a
08:08staggering amount of self-righteous gunk, but these words do back up his combat prowess as you battle in
08:14the dark shadows of the abyss. This one is difficult primarily because it combines relentless aggression with
08:20unpredictable attack patterns, forcing you to constantly react rather than just relying on
08:25memorization, something many boss fights encourage. Mayurden frequently shifts between phases that alter
08:31both timing and area of effect coverage, making positioning a constant challenge and punishing even
08:37your small mistakes.
08:39I am humanity's chorus.
08:45The fight also pressures resource management, as stamina, healing, and cooldown abilities
08:50must be used with precision to survive extended exchanges with him.
08:55On top of all that, the visual design of Mayurden's Umbra-based attacks
08:58can obscure telegraphs, something you are probably used to from other boss fights in the game so far.
09:04Reducing your reaction windows and increasing the likelihood of misreads.
09:08This is certainly a grueling battle that tests your adaptability,
09:12mechanical execution, and situational awareness all at once.
09:20Be gone with me.
09:24And you will be free to harbor every heart and every soul.
09:30The Forgotten General.
09:41My goodness, this monochromatic battle is easily one of the most intense and grueling
09:46in the entirety of the game. If the General's tenacious and ferocious summons don't constantly
09:52send Cliff to his knees, then her brutal melee swipes and swift blade strikes surely will.
09:57Death will come for you multiple times in this battle, as time creeps on without you even noticing,
10:03much like the General's army of shadowy summons that we mentioned.
10:06A combo of aerial abilities and on-the-ground punishers will be key to survival here,
10:12in tandem with kinetic dodges to just barely get out of harm's way, hopefully.
10:16It definitely doesn't help that the boss arena is quite tiny, at least given how much space the
10:21General's attacks take up, especially when they land as the summons zoom through you. It's a
10:27spectacularly epic fight that will test every skill you have learned thus far in the game.
10:41Ator, Archon of Antumbra.
10:53I can't quite put my finger on it, but this harrowing boss fight immediately reminds me of
10:58something kind of like out of Housemarque's Returnal or Soros.
11:02Perhaps it's the spooky, sci-fi-esque otherworldly vibe of the Cloister of Ruination boss area.
11:09Perhaps it's the cornucopia of bullet hell-esque projectiles
11:13that constantly seek Cliff out to send him to his untimely grave.
11:23Perhaps it's the way Ator moves with jarring speed and precision.
11:27Or perhaps it's the kinetic energy of the whole affair,
11:30where you constantly need to be on your toes.
11:33Regardless, this darkly ominous battle is both esoteric and outwardly punishing in equal measure.
12:04The swirling cavalcade of snow, ice, and wind sets the stage for this climactic boss fight.
12:09Baeloth's battle, on the surface, might not look as immediately challenging as the one against the
12:14Forgotten General or even Ator, Archon of Antumbra. However, it's the aforementioned ice and snow
12:20that makes this one the toughest in the game. You see, Baeloth's attacks devastate Cliff with
12:25ice-laden effects that can weaken him to great effect.
12:33Baeloth is a dark wraith in the Hoennmark ruins that will terrorize any hapless person that seeks to
12:39try to lay claim to his haunting domain. Punishing blizzards await those unfortunate enough to be
12:45in his presence. These ideas all coalesce in this fight as Baeloth uses his freezing cold heart and
12:51rage to relentlessly pummel Cliff over and over again. Stay frosty and don't let your resolve thaw as
12:58you face down this demon.
13:12So, do you agree with our picks for this list? There are a staggering number of challenging
13:16bosses in this game. Which are the hardest you have faced off against? Let us know in the comments.
13:26Consider it, Greymane.
