00:35to prove that they have the numbers. So the first image that's come in right now
00:40of that meeting that's taken place behind me in Lok Bhavan with the governor.
00:44We're expecting therefore details to emerge any time now of exactly when the swearing-in ceremony
00:50will take place. We'll connect with our reporters on the ground as well to give us more details
00:56of what's really panning out. First image is on your screens, ladies and gentlemen,
01:01of Vijay meeting with the governor and also with a handful of TVK leaders going ahead
01:08and staking claim to form the government. The swearing-in ceremony is the next formality,
01:14but this right here is history that's been made. After decades, since 1967,
01:20for the first time, you're having a party besides the DMK and AIA DMK coming to power in Tamil Nadu.
01:28And it's taken a superstar like Vijay to be able to do what many thought was absolutely deemed possible
01:35in Tamil Nadu, that he has now come to power.
01:39Anaka is joining us with more details on this. Anaka, first image is on our screens of the governor's
01:44meeting with Vijay. This is historic. This is history in the making that we've witnessed that after decades,
01:50in 1967, Talapati Vijay is the first non-DNK, AIA DMK leader to become chief minister.
02:03Yeah. That's right. History is absolutely made and today will be talked about and it will go down
02:08in the, you know, in the annals of history for a very, very long time. The fact that somebody who
02:13just
02:14floated their party just two years back was able to broke the duopoly, break the duopoly of the AIA DMK,
02:20DMK and the DMK. Certainly history is made for Vijay defeating the incumbent chief minister,
02:26chief minister Stalin is defeated and a lot of other senior leaders in DMK. Vijay has defeated all of
02:32them single-handedly and that too, without the help of an alliance partner. He has even surpassed what
02:38MGR was able to do. MGR has scored only 33 and a half percentage and that too with the help
02:43of two
02:43allies. But now Vijay has single-handedly surpassed what MGR has been able to do. So certainly anybody
02:49who speaks of otherwise, Vijay has scripted history and has overtaken what MGR, the legendary former
02:56chief minister MGR, was able to do. And those visuals that you're seeing are very, very telling
03:01and those men that you see there on your screens are going to lead Tamil Nadu for the next five
03:06years.
03:06The crucial men in Vijay's cabinet, the top five, six men who will be leading Tamil Nadu along with
03:13Vijay are those men that you see on your screens. Adhav Arjuna, Sengoti and Busi Anand, CTR Dirmal Kumar,
03:20Arun Raj, Dr. Arun Raj, the former IRS officer. All of these men that you see on your screens are
03:25going to be the leaders who will be leading Tamil Nadu for the next five years. Just absolutely
03:31scripting history.
03:37Pramod Madhavi is live with us as well. Pramod, any details now that the meeting with the governor
03:42has taken place? When the swearing-in ceremony will take place? There's a lot of questions
03:46about whether it's tomorrow or the day after. What are you picking up, Pramod?
03:52Well, Akshita, for now, the Vijay has gone inside. You could see at the moment at this point,
03:56location over here. That is the gate. And very interestingly, we used to earlier stand near that
04:00particular gate. But we've been pushed all the way to this port and everybody's getting ready.
04:03As it looks like, the meeting with the governor, Rajendra Karalekar, is almost over.
04:07We saw that along with the, you know, Vijay, there was also, I mean, the chief minister-elect Vijay,
04:12there was also Sengotean, Busi, I mean, N. Anand, Venkatraman, Nirmal Kumar, Adhavarjan.
04:18So all the important people were with them. So like six people along with the chief minister-elect Vijay
04:23had come over here and they have given the letter. But very clearly for us, we've been given information
04:27that the 108 number plus five support from Congress has been given as a letter over here
04:32calling it as the majority. It's with Tamiragavitchi Karagam and Vijay has claimed to form the government
04:38at this point. The important aspect here is that, like, it looks like the ZVK would go ahead
04:42and seek two weeks' time period for them to actually, you know, prove the majority if that
04:46is necessary. And that's the reason all is set right now. Akshita, as the chief minister-elect Vijay
04:51has now once again gone ahead and given it. And we've been told, even until now,
04:55we've been told that the ceremony of swearing-in is tomorrow, 7 a.m. But probably,
04:59depending on it, it can also be pushed for aid. All is based on the laughter. Vijay comes
05:04out, only we will know about it, Akshita.
05:09Okay, so we're waiting at this point to understand exactly when the swearing-in ceremony will happen.
05:14But we have the details of who's going to be in attendance. Rahul Gandhi, Malik Khashoggi
05:18have confirmed that they will be there for the swearing-in ceremony, irrespective of whether
05:22it happens tomorrow or the day after. Look, at this point, the TVK has got the support of one
05:27party, the Congress, which was expected, considering that the TVK and Congress had a
05:32communication line going, had dialogue going for the last many weeks, even before the election,
05:37when there was all of that speculation on whether an alliance would be stitched up.
05:42So that was the most natural and easy alliance to happen. But, Anaka, at this point, do we have
05:48any details of who could be attending the swearing-in ceremony, besides the fact that Malik Khashoggi
05:52and Rahul Gandhi will be there, because we understand it's going to be a grand event.
05:56And this will be the location where we'll hear for the first time from Vijay.
06:03That's right. It's going to happen in Nehru Indoor Stadium. The arrangements at the moment is being
06:08made by the TVK's event management. The TVK is preparing all these arrangements. It's only after the
06:14official word comes from Lokhubhavan. Will the government get involved? Will the secretariat
06:18get involved? And the preparations will start officially? It might happen tomorrow or the day
06:25after. But what we do know is that Malik Khashoggi and Rahul Gandhi are likely to be attending the
06:31swearing-in ceremony. It's going to be a very, very big day. The fact that Rahul Gandhi and Vijay,
06:37both of these leaders, who are so loved in Tamil Nadu. In fact, Tamil Nadu is one of the only
06:41states,
06:42one of the very few states where Rahul Gandhi is loved so dearly. So both these leaders,
06:47who is loved so dearly by the people of Tamil Nadu, will share the stage together,
06:52attending the swearing-in ceremony of Vijay. It's going to be a very, very important day
06:57in the history of Tamil Nadu, with Rahul Gandhi marking his presence on the swearing-in ceremony
07:02day of Vijay.
