00:00Rahul Gandhi is likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony in Tamil Nadu.
00:04The first images, of course, on your screen right now, viewers from the TVK and Congress meet.
00:09But the new information that we are getting for you is that Rahul Gandhi is likely to attend
00:14Vijay's swearing-in ceremony in Tamil Nadu.
00:18Rahul Gandhi clearly has dumped Stalin and is siding with Vijay.
00:23The DNK Congress alliance is broken in Tamil Nadu.
00:28So, Congress is allying with the TVK now.
00:36And we are seeing this numbers game going on in Tamil Nadu.
00:42Congress, of course, breaking with the DNK, joining hands with Vijay for the new government
00:47and the leaders of the Congress party there on your screens, meeting with Vijay,
00:53exchanging shawls, exchanging the traditional symbols of an alliance.
01:01Pramod Madhav is joining me on the phone line on this story.
01:05Pramod, Rahul Gandhi likely to be in Tamil Nadu for Vijay's swearing-in.
01:11But the big question is, will Vijay get the magic number of 118 to get that seat of the Chief
01:20Minister?
01:21Pramod.
01:23Anisha, the important aspect here is that, like, that's what you expected, what happened is that right now,
01:27Congress has gone ahead and these were the ones who very clearly said that Congress wants to go along with
01:31Vijay.
01:31And even not just now, even before the elections, they want to ally with Vijay.
01:35But right now, they've decided that five MLA's will go ahead.
01:37And that's why you saw Girish Shodhankar, Siddharth Perindagay and all of the Congress, including Pravin Chakravati,
01:42who had met with Vijay earlier, had gone ahead and they've given the support.
01:46But for now, they're calling it as a conditional support, claiming that unless, I know, the communal forces are not
01:51within TVK Alliance,
01:52they would go ahead and provide this support.
01:54But the important aspect here, Anisha, still, there is at least, TVK needs eight more members.
02:00And for that, also, another program is going on right now.
02:03All right. Pramod Madhav, stay on with me.
02:04I'm also being joined by Nagarjun Dwarkana on the story.
02:08Naga, this is a big information that you brought for us.
02:13Rahul Gandhi going to be attending the swearing-in ceremony.
02:17What more can you tell us about the Congress-TVK Alliance and the numbers game in Tamil Nadu?
02:25At this point of time, the five Congress MLA's have officially supported the TVK party and the swearing-in,
02:31which would happen in the next 48 hours or the 72 hours.
02:34Rahul Gandhi is likely to attend the swearing-in, is what we are told.
02:38This is the first time after decades that the Congress will have a minister in Tamil Nadu government.
02:44We'll have to wait and see what are the negotiations.
02:46Would they have one portfolio or two portfolios?
02:49That's the big question.
02:50But the negotiations will happen starting from today after the official letter has been given out.
02:54While VCK has said that they have not decided yet, they'll have to decide after the party meet.
02:58So there are two more MLS of the VCK and we're also yet to hear from the AIDMK faction which
03:04wanted to support TVK.
03:06Would they resign and then come join or would two-thirds of the party merge with TVK?
03:10And that's the big question that we'll have to watch out for.
03:13Every permutation combination is being worked out.
03:16Deliberations are being done.
03:17It's a dynamic situation.
03:18But as of now, the five confirmed seats are from the Congress party.
03:21Official letter has been given and for which Rahul Gandhi is likely to attend the swearing-in.
03:26Right.
