00:00But how about this story coming out of the National League Central?
00:03The Cardinals, 20 and 13, winners of six games in a row,
00:07dispatching once again of the Los Angeles Dodgers on a Saturday night.
00:11Got a little bit tasty there in the ninth inning.
00:14But J.J. Weatherholt, this was one of those guys we started out the season.
00:17Hey, look at this, could be Rookie of the Year fell off.
00:19Now he's climbing back up, Craig.
00:21Seven bombs on the season and 16 RBI for J.J.
00:25What makes it most interesting for his Rookie of the Year candidacy
00:28and the possibility of beating out Connor Griffin
00:30and a lot of the other guys who are eligible
00:33is that Weatherholt is going to get the most plate appearances, Donnie, of any of them
00:36unless something changes.
00:37He's batting first for the Cardinals.
00:39This is a huge surprise to me, and I've been completely wrong on this team,
00:43at least through the first 30 or so games of the year.
00:45I thought the plan for St. Louis was to lose and grab a good draft pick
00:50because the future of this roster is not clear.
00:55They don't have the Pujols, the Molinas, the Berkmans, the Beltrons, the Haywards.
01:01I mean, they've already, they don't have anyone on this team.
01:04I thought that this would be losing 90, 100 games, grab a draft pick and go.
01:09They've played great to their credit.
01:11So great job by Ali Marmol and putting Weatherholt in the top spot.
01:14For those of you betting on Rookie of the Year and things like that,
01:16always got to keep in mind more plate appearances, more home runs,
01:19more chances to get on base.
01:20That's where Weatherholt is.
01:21That's where Weatherholt is.
01:21That's whereć£ć” white.
01:21That's where there's a home run.
01:21That's where you can see in the center adventure.
01:21They're in Rookie of the Year.
