00:00We have division titles far from having been decided already unless, of course, you're in the National League West, at
00:08which point you can just pack a bag.
00:10I think Milwaukee is also going to be very interesting, right, because Milwaukee finds themselves in a spot where how
00:18many more are we really going to just burn Miz out the rest of the way when you're pretty much
00:24locked up the central division, right?
00:26So outside of those two divisions, everything else very much still up for grabs as we get ready to end
00:33July.
00:34It really is for the Brewers.
00:36I think they are going to scale back on Mizorowski just because that's that's their they have the ability to
00:42do so.
00:43If they were in second place, they were a game ahead of the Cubs, something along those lines.
00:48I don't think they would be doing so, but there's seven games up in the Cubs.
00:51Mizorowski has pitched 120 innings this season.
00:54He was at 66 last year, so he's doubled, you know, season over season, his career high, which is crazy.
01:01Looking at the division prices, you know, you can still get some pretty fair prices on, you know, a team
01:07like the Rays.
01:08If you think they're going to win the AL East, they're at minus 120.
01:11The AL Central, every team is plus money.
01:15Now, granted, it probably only comes down to the White Sox and the Guardians, but the White Sox are plus
01:19125.
01:19The guards are at plus 160.
01:21The Rangers have jumped ahead to minus 130 in the AL West.
01:25We've seen the Mariners take a step back over this past week, obviously losing a few games to the Rangers
01:29directly.
01:30But the Astros are sitting here at plus 550, Joe, and they're two games back out of the AL West.
01:36It seems like a big price considering they're just two games back.
01:40I have really no interest in betting the NLEs because I think it's a mess, and obviously the Dodgers are
01:45off the board at this point.
01:48It's – these games matter now.
01:52And again, you know, coming out of the All-Star break, don't forget, it wasn't the halfway point.
01:56You know, teams in the All-Star break, Tom, played almost 100 games already.
02:00So, with this trade deadline, we're going to start to get, over the next couple of weeks, those spots where
02:06teams are – yeah, they're thinking about the offseason, they're thinking about next year, thinking about vacation.
02:13So, it's a fun time of year.
02:16And with all of these races and still so much to be determined, you know, August, it's not going to
02:24be the have and have-nots.
02:26I think we're going to be – I think it's really going to come down to the wire, which I
02:30think is great for anybody.
02:31You know, most people forget about betting Major League Baseball once the All-Star game gets here because football –
02:37it's all about football.
02:38But I love the market in August, Tom, because that's when it's the most inefficient.
02:44I would agree, especially come September.
02:48And if you are just tracking the NFL or college, it's like, okay, Monday happens, I'm betting Monday night football,
02:54then I'm preparing for, you know, the Thursday night games.
02:57I mean, college football on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I'm getting ready for Monday again.
03:00It's like, you forget that we have games throughout the entirety of September, and those are the most important games.
03:06And it's also, to your point, when rosters are starting to change.
03:09So even when you're going to be seeing some minus 150 lines on the first five, like a minus 51
03:14– a 50 line on a first five line for a team that's in it versus a team that's completely
03:18out of it, that's a pretty good line sometimes.
03:20And you can get some really good prices because the market is just not as efficient because the volume for
03:26a sports book is just – their eyes are turned out.
03:28So I'm not saying that they are turning a blind eye and forgetting about baseball, but the volume that they
03:32get for MLB is minuscule compared to football and college football when September 1st rolls around.
