On today's PLZ Soccer Football Show, Hearts vs Rangers at Tynecastle in the red-hot atmosphere of Monday's title-race showdown. Derek McInnes expects "a proper scrap" — set-piece battles, both teams' record on dead-ball situations, Danny Röhl's Rangers tactical setup, and whether Hearts can hold their nerve to win the Scottish Premiership.

Tam McManus answers back to Ryan Stevenson — "I would never question anyone's integrity!" — as the row over whether Hibs might lie down to Celtic on Sunday dominates the panel. Peter Martin, Tam McManus and Alan "Roughie" Rough preview a massive May Day weekend in Scottish football: Hearts vs Rangers at Tynecastle on Monday with Derek McInnes "isn't looking for favours from anyone", Danny Röhl preparing his Rangers troops for the title-race showdown, Hibs vs Celtic at Easter Road on Sunday with Manager of the Month Martin O'Neill chasing the double, and the question of whether Hearts can take "10 points from the remaining 12" and be Scottish Premiership champions.

Joe Newell has come out swinging in defence of his Hibs teammates — "no danger that the players will lie down" — and the panel debate Chris Sutton's infamous 2003 Dunfermline lying-down accusation, with Tam defending the professionalism of the modern Scottish Premiership player. Looking ahead to Hibs vs Celtic at Easter Road, the panel preview Daizen Maeda's red-hot return to form ("he's back on the ball, terrorising defences"), Martin O'Neill's Celtic team selection (Čvančara bombed out, Kelechi Iheanacho on as impact sub), Sebastian Tounekti's wide role and whether Hibs can replicate their 4-2 Celtic Park win from May 2023. Predictions: Roughie says Celtic 2-1, Tam goes for a narrow Celtic win.

Plus: Scottish Premiership Manager of the Year debate (McInnes vs Martin O'Neill vs Danny Röhl), the Kilmarnock vs Dundee United relegation tussle, Jim Goodwin's squad picks for next season, and Falkirk vs Motherwell on Saturday — a result that could decide whether Hibs or Falkirk finish fifth and grab a Europa Conference League spot.

00:00:17What a weekend.
00:00:18It is Mega May.
00:00:20It's the only way to sum it all up for us.
00:00:23With three teams chasing the title,
00:00:25East versus West showdown this weekend
00:00:27and into the bank holiday.
00:00:29Would you believe for the Hearts Rangers game at Tynecastle?
00:00:33Hibbs won't be lying down to Celtic.
00:00:35That's what the players are saying.
00:00:36Manager of the month, Martin Neal,
00:00:38has his sights still set on that double.
00:00:41Derek McInnes isn't looking for favours from anyone.
00:00:44Ten points from the remaining 12
00:00:46and Hearts will be champions.
00:00:48And Danny Roll is preparing his troops
00:00:50for a battle against Hearts
00:00:53in the red-hot atmosphere of Tynecastle on Monday.
00:00:57We've got so much to look forward to
00:00:58and I thought the Elite Quiz,
00:01:01Elite Joinery and Fire Protection Quiz
00:01:03is all about Hearts
00:01:04because we want to know
00:01:05which team finished runner-up to Hearts
00:01:06in their 1960 league title winning season.
00:01:10Do you want to have a go at that, Ruffy?
00:01:11Kilmarnock.
00:01:13You think Kilmarnock?
00:01:28Kilmarnock, yeah.
00:01:29Thank you very much to so many of you
00:01:31who have joined us over the course of the season.
00:01:34We're getting to the climax now.
00:01:35Everybody obviously has their own opinion.
00:01:38Some people have been changing absolutely non-stop
00:01:42their opinions with regards to who's going to win the title.
00:01:45But we're going to get into it in a minute.
00:01:47But first and foremost, Ruffy,
00:01:49there's a battle going on.
00:01:50Ryan Stevenson,
00:01:51Ryan Stevenson no less,
00:01:53has just said,
00:01:54you're out of order, Tam.
00:01:57You're questioning people's integrity,
00:01:59the players' integrity.
00:02:00It's outrageous from an ex-player.
00:02:03That's Ryan Stevenson.
00:02:04I know, I read her.
00:02:05He's had a real pop, by the way, Aram.
00:02:07And to be honest with you, Ruffy,
00:02:10we've had people on here now,
00:02:11include Alec Ray,
00:02:12and I include so many people down through the years
00:02:14who have been what I would consider
00:02:17really hardy boys.
00:02:19And basically they would say,
00:02:20well, okay, Ryan, I'll meet you
00:02:22at the town cross
00:02:24and we'll sort it all out.
00:02:26I'm not a fighter.
00:02:27I'm a lover, I'm a runner.
00:02:28I'm a lover, I'm a runner.
00:02:32No, I don't think Ryan seems to grasp
00:02:34that I was putting myself
00:02:35in a fan's perspective
00:02:37and the fans' shoes.
00:02:39And I would never question anyone's integrity.
00:02:41I think Hibs will go out and try their best
00:02:42as all players do,
00:02:45all teams do.
00:02:45I was putting myself in it
00:02:47from a perspective of a supporter.
00:02:49And I think a lot of the supporters
00:02:50who go along to the game,
00:02:51Hibs supporters,
00:02:53will be in two minds
00:02:54about what they want to happen.
00:02:55I'm sure when they get to the game
00:02:56and they see their team running out,
00:02:58they think, right, we want to win.
00:02:59And then, in the back of their mind,
00:03:00don't think.
00:03:01If we win here and Hearts win,
00:03:03beat Rangers in Monday,
00:03:05we could hand Hearts the league.
00:03:06But they'll go out and play the game
00:03:08and whatever happens, won't happen.
00:03:10I think it's a win-win for Hibs.
00:03:12If they win the game, great.
00:03:14If they lose the game, great.
00:03:17So, I think they won't be the worst result
00:03:19for any Hibs supporters of draw,
00:03:20to be honest.
00:03:21Well, the other thing about Ryan,
00:03:22by the way,
00:03:23is a fantastic, what I call,
00:03:27orchestrated back page headline
00:03:28just to keep everybody going
00:03:29for a couple of days.
00:03:30Tam, you provided it this week.
00:03:33Usually, somewhere along the line,
00:03:34you know, the headline gets distorted,
00:03:36the story gets slightly twisted
00:03:38here and there.
00:03:39And that keeps us all going
00:03:40for a couple of days, roughly.
00:03:41And Tam is the recipient.
00:03:42He got a little bit,
00:03:43he got a little bit uptight
00:03:45about it all over the last 24 hours or so.
00:03:47But I just think it's a great wee noise.
00:03:49I thought it was as well.
00:03:51I mean, obviously,
00:03:51the paper would be overjoyed with it.
00:03:54You know, it kept it going
00:03:55for the couple of days
00:03:56with the two columnists
00:03:58having a go at each other.
00:04:00But yeah, they're right.
00:04:01I think people didn't really look at it
00:04:03because I think what Tam was trying to say,
00:04:06Hibs will go out and try and win the game.
00:04:07But if they lose it,
00:04:09the only thing is it bumps the Europe chance.
00:04:11You know, that's the disappointing bit.
00:04:13Yeah, but I think the main crux of it all,
00:04:15and not that we need to labour it,
00:04:17is quite simply that fans will be thinking,
00:04:19oh, could do Hearts a real turn here.
00:04:22But the players are certainly professional.
00:04:24I know Joe Newell has been come out
00:04:26and saying, you know,
00:04:27there's no danger that the players will lie to it.
00:04:30And I don't think anybody on our programme
00:04:32was suggesting that.
00:04:34Anne Wood has got a great point.
00:04:37I think we've got to read out, Ruffie.
00:04:38She says, I reckon you could take him, Tam.
00:04:41She's backing you in a squared goal.
00:04:43Never really were in a fight.
00:04:44Never really were in a fight.
00:04:45Ever?
00:04:46Probably primary school.
00:04:48That's about it?
00:04:48Primary seven, aye.
00:04:49Sunday was...
00:04:50Teacher.
00:04:50Probably my wee brother,
00:04:51who was three years younger than me.
00:04:53Teacher.
00:04:54Teacher.
00:04:54Shut up.
00:04:56I think that's the only fight I've ever been in.
00:04:57Is that right?
00:04:58I'm not really a fighter.
00:04:59I agree with you, Tam.
00:05:00It's a waste of time.
00:05:03But nevertheless, thanks to everybody.
00:05:06Did you see the way you said it?
00:05:07What, you've never been in a fight?
00:05:09You've been in New York Hill.
00:05:11I know.
00:05:11I was with a long one, I know.
00:05:13I know.
00:05:14It's actually incredible.
00:05:15I know, Ruffie.
00:05:17That was gobsmacked.
00:05:18But Franny says, good man, Tam.
00:05:22Square go or bring your triangle.
00:05:24Simple as that.
00:05:25Tam's a lover, not a fighter.
00:05:27He's not up for it.
00:05:30And somebody, Jimbo, I think it's a jambo,
00:05:32says hebs would be hebs if they tried to lay down.
00:05:35I don't think they will do a Jimbo.
00:05:37I think, let's be honest about it,
00:05:39it's one of those situations where even Martin
00:05:41and he always asked about it today.
00:05:43And he did say, listen, at the end of the day,
00:05:46probably a lot of Celtic fans wouldn't want Rangers,
00:05:49any kind of favours towards Rangers in a game as well.
00:05:54But he can understand some fans thinking about it.
00:05:57But I think he said, if anything,
00:06:00the Hibs players will be even more invigorated by the comments.
00:06:05Yeah, I think so.
00:06:06I'm looking at it and there's obviously been a lot of chat about it
00:06:08on every platform this week.
00:06:11And I think it will make the Hibs players go out
00:06:13and give their best.
00:06:15I think they would have done that anyway, Peter,
00:06:16but I think they'll no-one allegations if they go down
00:06:19and they get beat 4-5-0.
00:06:21And people think, well, you've just chucked it.
00:06:22I don't think that's going to happen.
00:06:24I think they're going to give Celtic a proper game.
00:06:26What year was it that happened with Celtic and Rangers?
00:06:28Remember the Dunfermline carry-on with Chris Sutton?
00:06:30I think it was 2003.
00:06:32What did he accuse the Dunfermline players?
00:06:34He just said he wasn't surprised.
00:06:35He thought they would lie down because obviously...
00:06:39The goal difference?
00:06:40No, Jimmy Calderwood was the manager of Dunfermline,
00:06:42a big Rangers fan.
00:06:43Jimmy Nicol.
00:06:44Jimmy Nicol and some of the players as well.
00:06:47I think he had a go about it.
00:06:48I know a lot of Celtic fans who still think the same thing
00:06:52about teams lying down.
00:06:53I don't buy into it.
00:06:54I think professional footballers,
00:06:56they want it to finish as high as they can.
00:06:58They want bonuses.
00:07:00There's money to be made for the club as well.
00:07:04So whether...
00:07:05I would say this, though, Ruffy,
00:07:08and sporting history will tell you,
00:07:12that there are occasions when...
00:07:14And I'm talking about lots of sports.
00:07:16There are occasions when integrity is severely questioned
00:07:21and there are people who have been found guilty of
00:07:25not, you know, stepping up to the plate,
00:07:28trying hard, throwing games, gambling.
00:07:30You can go through, you know,
00:07:31great famous baseball games of the past.
00:07:34I just don't see it happening.
00:07:36I'm not saying football is beyond any kind of criticism
00:07:39or whiter than white, but I don't see it.
00:07:42I think the players are unbelievably professional
00:07:45and Hibs still have something to play for, Tam.
00:07:47They do, Peter, and I think the game on Saturday,
00:07:50Motherwell against Falkirk,
00:07:51is a real key one for Hibs.
00:07:53Obviously, Hibs are six points behind Motherwell
00:07:56at the minute, but if Falkirk beat Motherwell,
00:07:58Falkirk's only two points behind Hibs.
00:08:00So you're talking about fifth place possibly.
00:08:02If Celtic win the Cup,
00:08:04fifth place is going to get into Europe.
00:08:05So, you know, if Motherwell get beat
00:08:07and Falkirk win, they're two points behind Hibs.
00:08:09So the fifth is not even guaranteed.
00:08:10So, it's going to...
00:08:12Listen, whatever happens,
00:08:14I think Hibs are going to go out
00:08:16and give everything against Celtic,
00:08:18but the result of that game, you know,
00:08:21could really frame where Hibs are going to finish.
00:08:24Yeah.
00:08:25I'm through at Tencastle on Monday.
00:08:28Do you want me to have a wee word with them?
00:08:31Who?
00:08:32Ryan.
00:08:33Oh, I don't...
00:08:33I'm not bothered by...
00:08:34I got on well with Ryan.
00:08:35I'm not bothered with his tattoos.
00:08:37I'm not intimidated.
00:08:38No, I got on...
00:08:38Listen, I got on well with Ryan.
00:08:40I do.
00:08:41I like Ryan.
00:08:41Call them this together.
00:08:42And we've had a few wee set...
00:08:46It goes at each other, but...
00:08:48On the park or is this off it?
00:08:49No, I just...
00:08:50On the park and off the park, but...
00:08:51Yeah?
00:08:52We're good pals.
00:08:53Okay.
00:08:53I'm not bothered about it.
00:08:54It's good for the newspaper that we're...
00:08:57Yeah.
00:08:58Metaphorically coming to blows.
00:08:59Yeah, brilliant.
00:09:00I like a wee bit of needle roughy, do you?
00:09:01Sure do.
00:09:02I prefer a fight, man.
00:09:03Yeah.
00:09:03You should beat him.
00:09:08It would be grey, wouldn't it?
00:09:09Seriously.
00:09:11Yeah, absolutely.
00:09:12The paper's big enough at all.
00:09:13It's a grey...
00:09:13It's the next step, isn't it?
00:09:15For the paper.
00:09:16Oh, it's a...
00:09:16Two columnists actually in a ring, sort of a boxing club.
00:09:19Who was the guy?
00:09:20Was it Thomas Sheridan?
00:09:22Aye, that's right.
00:09:22The two of them went Helfer Leather on it, but that would be fantastic, wouldn't it?
00:09:27Tam running around the ring, like...
00:09:31What do you call it?
00:09:32Was it Charlie Chapel?
00:09:36Anyway, listen.
00:09:38It's a great argument.
00:09:39It's a good noise up, Tam.
00:09:40I would take it just as that, because this weekend is absolutely fantastic.
00:09:47Hibs against Celtic is, obviously, before Rangers go to Tyne Castle on the Monday, which,
00:09:53curiously enough, Robbie, I may as well mention it now, I'll do a wee bit from Tyne Castle on
00:09:58the Monday, and we'll do our normal football show on the Tuesday.
00:10:04I think that's...
00:10:05After it.
00:10:05After it.
00:10:05I think that's more sensible, isn't it?
00:10:07Yeah, I think so, obviously.
00:10:08We wait and see the result of the Hibs-Celtic game, then Hearts and Rangers will know exactly
00:10:12what's on the table, and make it even a wee bit more feisty, and Tuesday will be a great
00:10:18time to talk over them all.
00:10:19Yeah, absolutely.
00:10:20So I'll do a wee bit from Tyne Castle on the Monday, around about four o'clock, because
00:10:27it'll just be not too far away from kick-off, probably a wee bit before it, not only on
00:10:32YouTube, but I'll be on TikTok Live as well, if you want to join me.
00:10:36In fact, if Ryan Stevenson's in the stand early, join me for the showdown with him, and we'll
00:10:43just go live, straight in the end, just tell him what Tam thinks about him.
00:10:48So join us if you can on Monday, but over and above that, we'll do our full live show
00:10:54on Tuesday, Ruffield.
00:10:56You'll be here.
00:10:56Tam won't be here, because he's invoked, of course, the Alan Ruff clause.
00:11:02You better not have a go at me about anything here.
00:11:04Oh.
00:11:05About not coming on Tuesday.
00:11:07Yeah.
00:11:07Because you've missed about three weeks out of the last month.
00:11:10Just in case you've got to have a go at me.
00:11:11That was a wee holiday.
00:11:12Yeah.
00:11:13Two holidays.
00:11:13Yeah.
00:11:14Who has a holiday in the middle of the season?
00:11:16Just absolutely bang out of order.
00:11:18Listen, the other thing I was going to tell you before we discuss some of the finer details
00:11:22of Hibs against Celtic and Hearts against Rangers, and of course, we'll discuss all the other
00:11:27games as well.
00:11:27Well, coming up on Monday and Tuesday on our YouTube channel and right across all our
00:11:33social media, we've got a fantastic competition with Lucky Tiger, and basically, it's your
00:11:39chance to get to the Scotland Games, Ruffie.
00:11:42It is fantastic.
00:11:43It is basically two tickets, flights and accommodation, 14 days, £1,000 spending money, and all you
00:11:51have to do is just get in the prize draw, and I'll be putting the link up.
00:11:55The video is done.
00:11:56You had 42 attempts at it yesterday.
00:11:59It was embarrassing.
00:11:59It really was, wasn't it?
00:12:00Absolutely.
00:12:01Honestly, Ronald Villiers.
00:12:02He is Ronald Villiers.
00:12:04Charles Bidoux.
00:12:04Charles Bidoux.
00:12:06What's that?
00:12:06And the other scatman.
00:12:08Stutton.
00:12:08Horrendous.
00:12:09He really is.
00:12:10You are hopeless.
00:12:11Terrible.
00:12:11I mean, I don't even think, I don't even think an autocue would help you, Ruffie.
00:12:14You're absolutely wooden.
00:12:16Because I'd start going, look.
00:12:19Anyway, it's well worth getting involved in it, by the way.
00:12:22Prize draw.
00:12:23It's a great competition, isn't it, Ruffie?
00:12:25When you hear the fans, what they're having to pay over the odds and everything, and flights,
00:12:30accommodation and everything, that's on the plate, isn't it?
00:12:32You know, it's an unbelievable prize.
00:12:35And two tickets for each game.
00:12:37It's just incredible.
00:12:38It's absolutely magnificent, and all the boys at Lucky Tiger.
00:12:41Absolutely delighted to link up with them for that.
00:12:44Lots of big news coming up right across the summer here on PLZ Soccer.

00:12:54Lots of people download the podcast as well.

00:12:58You'll get all the breaking news at your fingertips as well.
00:13:01So Hibs against Celtic, as well as Joe Newell, dismissing any possibility of anybody lying down.
00:13:09They're obviously going to want to try and bounce back from that loss to the Jambos.
00:13:14I think he was trying, Joe, as a captain would, to admonish all guilt towards the players who were sent
00:13:20off.
00:13:20It happens in games.
00:13:22Yeah, it's a team sport.
00:13:24You're all in it together.
00:13:25And unfortunately, there was a couple of individual errors from the Hibs boys that cost them the game.
00:13:31But yeah, I think Joe's got to come out and defend them as a captain of the club.
00:13:35He's got to come out and say that they're going to give their all which they will.
00:13:39And interesting to see the Hibs team obviously going to have to make a couple of changes.
00:13:42No change in the...
00:13:43Jordan Smith came in and done well last week, I thought, for Hibs.
00:13:47Pass Slack went out and I thought Meg were coming in and done well right back.
00:13:50So they'll probably just come in like for like.
00:13:52And whether he rotates the team, I think Mulligan's due to be back.
00:13:55Whether he risks him in this game, I don't know.
00:13:57Is this a time or an opportunity for Chaiwa to really push his case?
00:14:01Yeah, he was good last week.
00:14:02He was good against Hearts.
00:14:03He'd done a lot of dirty work off the ball.
00:14:06I think that Hibs are going to struggle to hold on to him in the summer.
00:14:08I think there's a lot of interest in him.
00:14:10There's a couple of guys that I've spoke to as well.
00:14:12There's clubs down south looking at him as well as Celtic.
00:14:14So yeah, I think he's got a chance to press his claims for a move in the next few games.
00:14:18But Celtic are going to find it difficult.
00:14:20They've not got a great record at Easter Road in the last few seasons.
00:14:24And Hibs will be determined to make up for that disappointment last week.
00:14:28So it's going to be a very, very tough game, I think, for Celtic.
00:14:31Ruffie?
00:14:32Yeah, I think so.
00:14:32Well, obviously, that pressure word comes into the occasion as well.
00:14:38You know, you'll be looking at players who stand up to the occasion.
00:14:43I don't think Celtic this year have had as many players like that in their team as they used to
00:14:49have.
00:14:50So they'll just have to scrape their way through it.
00:14:52They'll be hoping, obviously.
00:14:54Maybe Hibs made a couple of mistakes here and there.
00:14:56But I think the biggest thing for Celtic just now is Maida.
00:15:01You know, I think he's back on the ball.
00:15:03You know, he's terrorising defences.
00:15:05You know, he'll be...
00:15:06I think he's obviously looking for a move at the end of the season.
00:15:09So he'll hit and finish the season on a high.
00:15:12And he's started it already.
00:15:13So I think the Hibs defenders will have to be very wary of him because he is putting them under
00:15:18pressure.
00:15:19But I still think it's Celtic.
00:15:21Whatever they've got to play for should just edge this one.
00:15:24Yeah?
00:15:25You're going to go for Celtic to win it?
00:15:26I'm going to go for Celtic to win 2-1.
00:15:27Oh, that's an interesting one.
00:15:28You've gone early on that, Ruffie.
00:15:29I haven't even got to that point yet.
00:15:31The reason why I'm going on this computer is because, quite simply, you know, the line that came up from
00:15:38Kenny, who's live on our YouTube channel as well, he's just basically said that Hibs and Celtic, his line, and
00:15:46if I can just go back to what Kenny said there, he said Hibs haven't beaten Celtic at Easter Road
00:15:51in ages, which is an interesting point there, Tam.
00:15:55And as I look back on them, they've lost, well, I don't know what he's talking about, 22nd of February
00:16:00last year, they beat them 2-1.
00:16:03Kenny, Kenny, you're havering.
00:16:04I think if you look over the course of the last three or four seasons, Peter, they've now got a
00:16:08great record at Easter Road.
00:16:09And obviously Hibs have beat them at Celtic Park earlier in the season as well.
00:16:12So I think it's going to be a very, very tough game for Celtic.
00:16:15And the pressure is all on Celtic.
00:16:17I think Hibs can go out and play, you know, freely.
00:16:19But I just think Celtic have got the bit between their teeth at the minute.
00:16:22They know they've got four cup finals.
00:16:25And if they win all four of those games, they're going to win the league.
00:16:27So I think Celtic will just nick it 2-1 as well.
00:16:30Kenny's havering.
00:16:31Hibs beat Celtic 4-2 back in May 2023 as well.
00:16:36So a couple of wins in the last couple of years is not too bad, to be honest with you.
00:16:40I just don't see...
00:16:42I'm looking at, you know, Celtic.
00:16:45You think about it now.
00:16:46Martin O'Neill, Manager of the Month.
00:16:49And he's got the bit with Judas' teeth.
00:16:51No injury worries.
00:16:52No new ones anyway.
00:16:53Alistair Johnson looks okay.
00:16:55Suddenly he's got key players back.
00:16:57Everybody's itching to play.
00:16:59And I'm loathe to use the word momentum because it just hasn't happened, you know,
00:17:04this season for Rangers or Celtic in big games.
00:17:08When you're looking, you're saying to yourself,
00:17:10is this the real deal, Rangers?
00:17:12Is this the real deal, Celtic?
00:17:13I haven't seen that from them.
00:17:15It's been bit part performances.
00:17:17No, I think it's basically the centre-forward position for both teams.
00:17:21I think in any given year, you would have a Celtic forward who's touching 30 goals.
00:17:27Off the top of my head, I can't think of who the top goal scorer striker at Celtic is.
00:17:33And who the top?
00:17:34What's Negrin?
00:17:36Striker.
00:17:36No, I mean striker.
00:17:37I mean a striker.
00:17:38Yeah.
00:17:39Oh, a striker.
00:17:40Yeah.
00:17:40Yes.
00:17:41Who is it?
00:17:42How many has he got?
00:17:44I'd be lucky if he's got 12.
00:17:46You know, obviously Maida's up there, but in Rangers as well.
00:17:50You know, I kind of think of their main striker, who's got over 15 goals.
00:17:54And that's never been the case in the last 10 years.
00:17:57Rangers and Celtic haven't had this.
00:17:59Or even two strikers who are pushing 20 goals each.
00:18:02Yeah.
00:18:03You know, and that's why they've been so successful.
00:18:05So, for me, the Celtic one in particular, I mean, every year, year on year.
00:18:10I mean, way back from even my time, you know, Celtic always had three top-class strikers.
00:18:16You know, three quality strikers who chipped in.
00:18:18Well, they haven't got them and there's only four games left.
00:18:20There's no use of moaning about it.
00:18:22Yeah, no, but it's a terrible one for Martin O'Neill because he's got strikers.
00:18:28How does he choose the one?
00:18:30You know, obviously...
00:18:31He doesn't have any dilemma now.
00:18:33Chavanchara's bombed.
00:18:34He's bombed him out.
00:18:36So, he's going to go with Maida up front and then he'll bring on Ayanacho.
00:18:39That's what he's been doing in the last couple of games, Tam.
00:18:41It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out.
00:18:43That's the way he's looking at it.
00:18:44He also, in press conferences, says,
00:18:47Ayanacho says he's fit.
00:18:48I don't think he is.
00:18:49So, that's the...
00:18:50You know, I don't know if that's maybe a weird and joke between them.
00:18:53But if it isn't, I think Ayanacho would maybe be a bit peeved with that.
00:18:57If he's training every day and he thinks he's fit.
00:18:59And the manager's coming out and saying that.
00:19:01So, yeah, I think if Martin O'Neill thought Ayanacho was 100% fit and flying,
00:19:06he'd be starting every game.
00:19:07So, obviously, he doesn't.
00:19:08But he's a handy sub to come on.
00:19:09The two goals he scored against St Myrna were quality.
00:19:12The header and just the short back lift into the top corner.
00:19:17I think Martin O'Neill maybe sees him as more of an impact sub.
00:19:1920-25 minutes when the defence is a tyre and he can come on and make more of an impact
00:19:23rather than playing the first 60.
00:19:24If he plays Maida in there, he's going to...
00:19:27Tonekki's got to play wide.
00:19:28You know, and he's been out for a while.
00:19:31Ruffey, you've already called you think Celtic are going to win.
00:19:33Then you're coming up with problems.
00:19:35No, I think I'm worried.
00:19:35Maida scored three goals in the last two games.
00:19:38Martin O'Neill says he thinks he's coming back to the boil.
00:19:40Maida looks as if he's interested again.
00:19:43Obviously trying to get himself a wee move in the summer, I think, to be fair.
00:19:47And I don't think...
00:19:48Although I do like Elding and I do like Suto when he does come on,
00:19:53I don't think they're going to come away with a win.
00:19:55I think Celtic will win in this one.
00:19:57What about you, Tammy?
00:19:57Yeah, I think narrow.
00:19:58But I think Habs are running very, very close.
00:20:00Maybe an all-eight goal for Celtic, but 2-1 to Celtic for me.
00:20:02What do you make of the...
00:20:03I don't know if either of you got a chance to watch it,
00:20:06but there was another Brian Wilson interview with the Celtic media.
00:20:13I don't think the Celtic fans are too happy with what Brian Wilson's projecting
00:20:19as if there's all this unity.
00:20:21I mean, I don't know who he was talking to,
00:20:24but he's certainly not talking to the majority of Celtic fans,
00:20:26not buying into Peter Law was away, if indeed he is,
00:20:30and then the other guy who retired.
00:20:34They won't change it on the board.
00:20:36They're not going to get it,
00:20:37because this Celtic board is just going to dig in and think
00:20:39they're waiting for Martin O'Neill to pull them out of a hole.
00:20:42Yeah, I think the board are actually fortunate.
00:20:45They've just now got the bitter end of the league,
00:20:48and I think for them, the fans are now concentrating
00:20:51on can their team win the league.
00:20:53So every game they're going into now,
00:20:54they're focusing on the team, which is great for the club,
00:20:58but I don't think it's going to go away.
00:21:00I think good for the supporters.
00:21:01They're getting right behind their team at this moment in time,
00:21:05and they're just concentrating on every game that's coming up
00:21:08and hoping their team can win it.
00:21:10There's a lot of Celtic fans and Celtic supporters' association saying,
00:21:13I don't know what he's blethering on about.
00:21:14There's been no real communication.
00:21:16I think he just thinks that because the Green Brigade's back in
00:21:19and stuff like that,
00:21:20and the team's got a couple of positive results,
00:21:22everything in the Garden is rosy again,
00:21:23but I don't think the Celtic supporters,
00:21:24even if Celtic win the league this season,
00:21:26it's not going to be,
00:21:30they want change,
00:21:31and that is the bottom line.
00:21:34And whether Celtic win the double this season or win nothing this season,
00:21:36it's not going to change at the start of next season.
00:21:38The Celtic supporters are screaming for a change at the top at Celtic.
00:21:41The problem for the supporters are,
00:21:43this board couldn't even bring players in in January.
00:21:48And what we're reading about now,
00:21:50there's 16 players going out,
00:21:51so we need another 10 to come in.
00:21:53They haven't got the ability to bring in one or two.
00:21:55Yeah.
00:21:56So what chance have they got of bringing in 10 players, 12 players?
00:22:00What it does tell you is the manager's not picking the team.
00:22:02It's as simple as that.
00:22:03That's what it tells you.
00:22:04But listen,
00:22:05they've got four games to try,
00:22:06and five games,
00:22:07to be honest with you,
00:22:08to try and make it a season to remember for Martin O'Neill,
00:22:12for all the right reasons.
00:22:13What happens after that is open to debate.
00:22:16The game that I'm looking forward to the most is Hearts Rangers.
00:22:18John Beaton's the referee for it.
00:22:20Is he the best option for that match?
00:22:22Yeah.
00:22:23Yeah, I think so.
00:22:24He's one of the top three.
00:22:27And generally,
00:22:28I can't remember off the top of my head.
00:22:30I know every team thinks that a referee doesn't do them a turn.
00:22:34I don't think that's the case.
00:22:35Referees go out there and do their best.
00:22:37The referee of the game,
00:22:38there's going to be decisions that you're not going to like.
00:22:41But no,
00:22:41he's top three for me.
00:22:43You know,
00:22:43and I think he's the right guy for the job.
00:22:46Yeah.
00:22:47Okay.
00:22:47It's going to be a red-hot atmosphere.
00:22:49The Jambos,
00:22:49two wins and one loss against Rangers.
00:22:52Six goals,
00:22:53five conceded.
00:22:55We can look at all the permutations that you want,
00:22:59but Hearts will know that if they take 10 points from the final 12,
00:23:03they're champions.
00:23:05So they'll be looking for a win bar nothing else.
00:23:10This is the biggest game of the season in the title race for me.
00:23:13I think that when you look at where Rangers are at the minute after losing last week,
00:23:16they're four points behind Hearts at the minute.
00:23:19Rangers have to win the game.
00:23:20Draw is no use.
00:23:21I think four points with three games left.
00:23:22I'm not going to catch that up.
00:23:23They've got to go to Celtic Park next.
00:23:25If Rangers do win the game,
00:23:27they'll go amongst one of the favourites again,
00:23:29because you'll see that they'll think if we win the last four games,
00:23:33we'll win the league.
00:23:34So it's an enormous game for both clubs.
00:23:37If Hearts win it,
00:23:38you know,
00:23:39depending on the result the day before with Hibs and Celtic,
00:23:42you know,
00:23:42Hearts could be two points,
00:23:43three points away from actually winning the title.
00:23:45So it's a massive game for both clubs.
00:23:48I think if you're a Celtic supporter,
00:23:50you're looking for a draw in that game.
00:23:51You know,
00:23:52it would keep everything,
00:23:53I think,
00:23:53ticking over.
00:23:54Yeah.
00:23:55I don't think you're wanting a Hearts win.
00:23:57I know the Celtic play Hearts in the last game of the season,
00:23:59so it's a huge weekend.
00:24:01Hibs,
00:24:01Hearts,
00:24:02Rangers,
00:24:03you know,
00:24:03sorry,
00:24:04Hibs,
00:24:04Celtic,
00:24:05Rangers,
00:24:05Hearts,
00:24:07salt and vinegar,
00:24:07salt and sauce,
00:24:08take your pick.
00:24:11It's a battle of the cities this weekend.
00:24:13Yeah,
00:24:13and the other thing about it,
00:24:14Robbie,
00:24:14which is great,
00:24:15and I think fair play to Hearts,
00:24:17they've certainly really cranked it up
00:24:19by getting everybody and their granny
00:24:21singing at these events,
00:24:23and then I think there'll be the crackers going off,
00:24:27the flames up in the air,
00:24:28there'll be all sorts of music beforehand,
00:24:31there'll be going live to fans in Italy,
00:24:33Jambos tuning in,
00:24:34they've had that in the last couple of weeks,
00:24:36and they've had the guys singing the Hearts song,
00:24:38they've had the TIFO displays around the place,
00:24:42I expect it to be around the whole,
00:24:43near enough four stands,
00:24:45apart from that small section of Rangers supporters,
00:24:48and it'll be absolutely bouncing beforehand,
00:24:52with nothing to fear.
00:24:55Yes,
00:24:55a home advantage,
00:24:57yeah,
00:24:57is everything,
00:24:58you know,
00:24:58I'm,
00:24:59I'm finding it very,
00:25:01very difficult to predict this one,
00:25:03because,
00:25:04well,
00:25:04the evidence of the Rangers' performance last week was poor,
00:25:07now,
00:25:08I'm led to believe that the Motherwell Hearts game,
00:25:10Motherwell thought they should have taken something out of that game,
00:25:13yeah,
00:25:13Peter was there,
00:25:14he should have,
00:25:14yeah,
00:25:14he should have,
00:25:15and last week's game was against nine men,
00:25:19struggled late on,
00:25:20so I don't think any of the two of them,
00:25:22can go into that game confident enough to say,
00:25:24we're going to win this hands down.
00:25:26Do you agree with Tam that a draw is the best option for Celtic?
00:25:29Yeah,
00:25:29yeah,
00:25:30do you have to stop Hearts,
00:25:31getting as many points as possible,
00:25:33what would the goal difference,
00:25:35it's five,
00:25:35in Hearts favour?
00:25:36Well,
00:25:37that could be cut quite easily,
00:25:39you know,
00:25:39it could be quite cut,
00:25:41dramatically,
00:25:42you know,
00:25:45honestly,
00:25:45we saw,
00:25:47I've seen that in a few days,
00:25:48Brian McClare and Mo Johnson,
00:25:50yeah,
00:25:50I mean,
00:25:51maybe not Mo Johnson,
00:25:52no,
00:25:53but,
00:25:54certainly,
00:25:54obviously,
00:25:55I mean,
00:25:56as you say,
00:25:57Avengers and Hearts are to draw,
00:25:59and Celtic will win by two clear goals,
00:26:01and then it gets cut,
00:26:02and then you lose a game,
00:26:03and it could swing,
00:26:05not five goals could get wiped out in two games,
00:26:07yeah,
00:26:08interestingly enough,
00:26:10Derek McInnes has offered,
00:26:12you know,
00:26:12all the fans,
00:26:13that rallying cry,
00:26:14he wants it to be,
00:26:16that fortress,
00:26:18and he wants them really,
00:26:20to get behind the team,
00:26:22that's why I think it's going to be,
00:26:23absolutely,
00:26:25cackling,
00:26:26by the minute the two teams come out,
00:26:27it'll be absolutely fantastic,
00:26:29an unusual time,
00:26:30half five,
00:26:30but I quite like it,
00:26:31I'm looking forward to it,
00:26:32a bank holiday Monday.
00:26:33Yeah,
00:26:34and it gives the supporters,
00:26:35plenty of time to get a bevy,
00:26:36most of them will be off,
00:26:38but,
00:26:39yeah,
00:26:40it's a massive game for both clubs.
00:26:42He doesn't want the fans to be nervous,
00:26:44I think.
00:26:46I think the Hearts fans will be,
00:26:47Peter,
00:26:47I think they're,
00:26:48they're within touching distance now,
00:26:50yeah,
00:26:51and,
00:26:51you know,
00:26:52I was watching stuff about,
00:26:53Albert,
00:26:53Albert Kidd,
00:26:54and all that stuff,
00:26:55and,
00:26:56that'll still,
00:26:56the oldest Hearts supporters,
00:26:57that'll still be in the back of their mind,
00:26:59we've blown it once before,
00:27:00yeah,
00:27:00we couldn't,
00:27:01we can't go through that again.
00:27:02I like Derek's line about,
00:27:04you know,
00:27:04where we are,
00:27:05he says,
00:27:05amazing,
00:27:06considering we're coming up against a team on Monday,
00:27:08who've spent 40 million,
00:27:09it's a great line,
00:27:11isn't it?
00:27:11Yeah,
00:27:11and,
00:27:12he's right to say that,
00:27:13he's right to point to the,
00:27:15financial disparity between them,
00:27:16and Celtic and Rangers,
00:27:17so,
00:27:18he's trying to take the pressure off the players,
00:27:22there's no doubt about it now,
00:27:23if Hearts don't win the league now,
00:27:24that'll be a bitter disappointment,
00:27:25they've led it for,
00:27:26for most of the season,
00:27:27so,
00:27:28it's a huge game for both clubs,
00:27:30and as I said,
00:27:30I don't think a draw really does,
00:27:32either any good.
00:27:33Well,
00:27:33Jimbo is very confident,
00:27:35he says,
00:27:36Hearts won't win another game,
00:27:39Les says,
00:27:41three draws for Hearts,
00:27:43and,
00:27:44Kenny says,
00:27:45the biggest game of the season,
00:27:46is Celtic versus Hearts,
00:27:47in the last game,
00:27:48well,
00:27:48potentially,
00:27:49it potentially could be,
00:27:50depending on,
00:27:51the way,
00:27:52this is all panning out.
00:27:53I think if you're a Celtic supporter,
00:27:55Peter,
00:27:55if you said right now,
00:27:58you're one or two points,
00:27:59behind Hearts,
00:28:00going into that last game,
00:28:02and you've got a chance,
00:28:02to beat Hearts,
00:28:03to win the league at home,
00:28:04every one of them would take it,
00:28:05but it's getting to that point.
00:28:07Do you think,
00:28:08I think there's only one winner,
00:28:09if it's Celtic,
00:28:10Hearts in the last game,
00:28:11and Celtic need to win,
00:28:12to win the league.
00:28:13Do you think it's,
00:28:14can I just,
00:28:14can I just twist that a little,
00:28:16and say,
00:28:16do you think,
00:28:17that,
00:28:18if it's Celtic and Hearts,
00:28:19and Hearts still have,
00:28:20a goal advantage,
00:28:23then,
00:28:25Celtic will win,
00:28:26and win,
00:28:27with the goals needed.
00:28:28That's a harder ask.
00:28:29That's a tough one,
00:28:30isn't it?
00:28:30That's a harder ask.
00:28:31Because that's where,
00:28:32that's where the Hearts,
00:28:33I think,
00:28:33want to be.
00:28:33But basically,
00:28:34you know,
00:28:35if Rangers,
00:28:35if Hearts beat Rangers,
00:28:36and Celtic win,
00:28:37then it's going to boil down,
00:28:39to the two,
00:28:39and it's a two horse race now.
00:28:40Hearts want to go into that game,
00:28:41that last game,
00:28:42and send Celtic,
00:28:43you need to beat us.
00:28:44Yeah.
00:28:45What about,
00:28:46I have a question,
00:28:47I mean,
00:28:47uh oh,
00:28:48here it comes.
00:28:49no,
00:28:49you took Tam,
00:28:50to the Hibs game.
00:28:52Yes.
00:28:53Why's he not going to the Hearts game,
00:28:54Monday night?
00:28:56Well,
00:28:56he's scared of Ryan's game,
00:28:57isn't he?
00:28:58I mean,
00:28:58that's the thing like that,
00:28:59he doesn't want to fight.
00:29:00I'm not going to the Hearts,
00:29:01really.
00:29:04A whole stadium united,
00:29:06in hating me.
00:29:07Despising you.
00:29:08Damn,
00:29:10don't worry about it,
00:29:11I'm there.
00:29:11You know,
00:29:12I'm not looking forward to it.
00:29:14Derek McKinnis expects,
00:29:16a proper scrap.
00:29:17In a strange sort of way,
00:29:19do you think,
00:29:20do you expect football,
00:29:21to break out at some point,
00:29:22in this game,
00:29:22or is it going to be,
00:29:23blood,
00:29:24guts and thunder?
00:29:24I think it's going to be,
00:29:25blood,
00:29:26guts and thunder.
00:29:28I don't think you're going to see,
00:29:29a lot of football,
00:29:30because obviously the pressure,
00:29:31the tension will be there.
00:29:32Whatever team scores first,
00:29:34we'll think they've got,
00:29:35the B's and E's in the game,
00:29:37and the other team,
00:29:38will have to fight their way,
00:29:39back out of it.
00:29:40And generally that means,
00:29:41you know,
00:29:43rash challenges,
00:29:43rash tackles,
00:29:45you know,
00:29:45I hope there's no red card.
00:29:47But it's not going to be calm,
00:29:49it's not going to be this,
00:29:51playing the ball a bit,
00:29:52and it's going to be,
00:29:53you know,
00:29:53every man for their self.
00:29:55Yeah,
00:29:55the other thing about it as well is,
00:29:57this is a good one actually,
00:29:58because the referee,
00:29:59will be getting it from both angles,
00:30:01on this one.
00:30:02I think John Beaton's in the,
00:30:05no win situation,
00:30:07with both sets of supporters.
00:30:08I mean,
00:30:09I even heard somebody,
00:30:09in the left hand side,
00:30:10he made Tencastle,
00:30:11suggesting Don Robertson,
00:30:13was a huge Celtic fan,
00:30:14because of some of his decisions.
00:30:15And I thought to myself,
00:30:16wow,
00:30:16they're really nailing the referees now.
00:30:19I mean,
00:30:19that would not have entered my head,
00:30:21on these things I'm looking at,
00:30:22and saying,
00:30:23you need somebody who is firm,
00:30:25you need somebody who can make decisions,
00:30:26you need somebody who,
00:30:27has that little bit about them,
00:30:29that little bit of arrogance,
00:30:30as a referee,
00:30:31not to suffer any shenanigans.
00:30:33We've talked about hearts,
00:30:35what are Rangers going to offer in this,
00:30:37because Danny Roll has said,
00:30:38this is not a 95% Rangers,
00:30:40this needs to be,
00:30:41at it constantly,
00:30:43can't have a good 45 minutes,
00:30:44can't have a bad one,
00:30:45and expect to be able to come back again,
00:30:48because they've suffered at Motherwell's hands,
00:30:49with that one.
00:30:50Yeah,
00:30:51I think you've seen Rangers this season,
00:30:52Peter,
00:30:52in some of the bigger games,
00:30:53you know,
00:30:54playing,
00:30:54maybe playing for a half,
00:30:55I remember,
00:30:56you know,
00:30:56Wilfred Nonsi's Celtic,
00:30:58you know,
00:30:58battered Rangers in the first half,
00:30:59and really should have been three or four up,
00:31:01Rangers were poor that day,
00:31:02and then second half,
00:31:03they played really well,
00:31:04and won the game.
00:31:06I think you've seen it as well,
00:31:07in other games,
00:31:08where Rangers have kind of played for a half,
00:31:09I thought for,
00:31:10in the head-to-head with Celtic,
00:31:12the league game,
00:31:13in the Scottish Cup game,
00:31:14you know,
00:31:15the first half,
00:31:162-0 up,
00:31:16you know,
00:31:17brilliant,
00:31:17second half never turned up,
00:31:19so you're right,
00:31:20Rangers need to put in a 95 minute,
00:31:22you know,
00:31:23performance,
00:31:24and win the game.
00:31:25A draw's no use,
00:31:27which I think,
00:31:28makes it probably clearer for Rangers,
00:31:30and their players,
00:31:30that they know they've got to win the game,
00:31:32and they'll go all out to win the game,
00:31:34but I just hope we're talking about the football,
00:31:35on Monday or Tuesday,
00:31:36and we're not talking about the referee decisions,
00:31:38we're not talking about VAR,
00:31:40we're not questioning referees' integrity,
00:31:42and all that stuff,
00:31:43I just hope we're talking about the football,
00:31:44and it was a great game of football,
00:31:47settled by quality,
00:31:48and no settled by a big decision,
00:31:49or a bad call,
00:31:52or a good call.
00:31:52He has mentioned,
00:31:54the Rangers have got to be active,
00:31:56smart,
00:31:56and well organised,
00:31:58in this match,
00:32:00I'm interested to see the type of team,
00:32:02that he picks for it,
00:32:04who's going to start,
00:32:05who's going to make that impression,
00:32:07is there a game where Mikey Moore has to start?
00:32:09Yeah,
00:32:10well I think it was very noticeable,
00:32:11in the second half,
00:32:12the three changes he made immediately,
00:32:14you know,
00:32:14made a difference,
00:32:15you know,
00:32:16I don't know why he left Tavenier out,
00:32:18you know,
00:32:18I think he's got to play in the game,
00:32:19he's the captain,
00:32:21if it's a free kick,
00:32:22you know,
00:32:22every chance of being on target,
00:32:24you know,
00:32:24Mickey Moore this year,
00:32:26has caused a lot of teams problems,
00:32:28you know,
00:32:29dribbling and getting at teams,
00:32:31I like the boy Romans as well,
00:32:32I mean he's just touch and go for him,
00:32:34if he offers something on the left side.
00:32:37I think he'll be looking at his striker,
00:32:39to me,
00:32:39I think he'll be looking at him,
00:32:41thinking he is the big time player,
00:32:44he's the one who's going to score goals,
00:32:45in big games,
00:32:46so he has to be up there as well,
00:32:48but all the players have got to perform,
00:32:50I just think on the evidence,
00:32:51the last week against Motherwell,
00:32:53there's something just not clicking,
00:32:55in that Rangers team.
00:32:56He has mentioned,
00:32:57Danny Roll,
00:32:58that Tormiti has looked,
00:33:00absolutely magnificent in training,
00:33:02so,
00:33:02and he has,
00:33:03to be fair to the lad,
00:33:05in big games,
00:33:05he's popped up,
00:33:06I mean he's scored an absolute wonder goal,
00:33:08against Celtic.
00:33:08Hat trick against Arles as well,
00:33:10you know,
00:33:10so he's turned up in the big games,
00:33:12and I think the Rangers supporters,
00:33:13will be pinning their hopes on Tormiti,
00:33:15and because he has turned up,
00:33:16obviously scored at Parkhead as well,
00:33:18so no,
00:33:18he's,
00:33:19he's been the man for the big occasion,
00:33:21and they'll be hoping that,
00:33:23that he turns up again,
00:33:24but,
00:33:25interesting to see how Rangers shape up,
00:33:27and the way,
00:33:27they started the game last season,
00:33:29last week against Motherwell,
00:33:30with two up front,
00:33:31and hooked me off,
00:33:31to get half time,
00:33:33and,
00:33:33and kind of changed it,
00:33:35will he go with the two up front,
00:33:36at the time cast,
00:33:37or will he play the one up,
00:33:38which you're trying to meet yourself,
00:33:39with the two wide players.
00:33:40I don't think he's going to go with two up,
00:33:42I think he might just try,
00:33:44and see if they can,
00:33:45I,
00:33:46I think he'll try and see,
00:33:47if they can stifle half,
00:33:484-2-3-1,
00:33:49and then go for a set piece,
00:33:51that's,
00:33:52that's where I see.
00:33:52Set pieces,
00:33:53again,
00:33:53the top two teams in the division,
00:33:55Peter,
00:33:55set pieces for and against,
00:33:56both have got,
00:33:57you know,
00:33:57set piece coaches,
00:33:59you know,
00:34:00that could be a key area as well.
00:34:02You know what I love about it though,
00:34:03every tackle,
00:34:04that happens in this game,
00:34:06is going to be as if somebody's committed murder,
00:34:08no,
00:34:08that's great,
00:34:09I love this stadium for that,
00:34:10because,
00:34:11there are getting overthrowings,
00:34:12they're going mental,
00:34:14at the referee,
00:34:14the referee's in a no win situation,
00:34:16everybody's been going to,
00:34:17going to be getting pelters,
00:34:18and then,
00:34:20I'm looking at both teams,
00:34:21and I'm saying to myself,
00:34:22is there someone,
00:34:24in the Redhawk cauldron,
00:34:26and this is where good midfielders come into,
00:34:27who can suddenly stand on the ball,
00:34:29for more than two seconds,
00:34:31without getting clattered,
00:34:32and that's where I think,
00:34:33there's going to be,
00:34:34a real problem,
00:34:36to try and make sure,
00:34:37that it doesn't descend into,
00:34:39you know,
00:34:40stop,
00:34:41start,
00:34:41stop,
00:34:41start,
00:34:41kicking.
00:34:42I think it'll be difficult Peter,
00:34:43because there's so much at stake,
00:34:45in this game,
00:34:45I think it'll be,
00:34:46you don't want to make a mistake,
00:34:47particularly early in the game,
00:34:49and I think maybe the second half,
00:34:50the game might open up,
00:34:51and settle down a wee bit,
00:34:52but certainly in the first 20,
00:34:5325 minutes,
00:34:54it's going to be 100 mile an hour,
00:34:57you know,
00:34:58and the guys,
00:34:58I thought Leonard was excellent,
00:34:59last week in the derby,
00:35:00I thought he looked as if,
00:35:01he could put his foot,
00:35:02I don't know if Cammy Devlin's back fit,
00:35:04you know,
00:35:04he comes back into the team,
00:35:06for Rangers,
00:35:07guys like Raskin,
00:35:08so,
00:35:08there is players in there,
00:35:09who can do it,
00:35:10but it's a very,
00:35:12very difficult game we call,
00:35:13you haven't asked us for a prediction yet?
00:35:14No,
00:35:14it's coming,
00:35:15I'll tell you what's a great incentive though,
00:35:17on the basis of what happened last night,
00:35:19with Shakhtar Donetsk,
00:35:21thumped by Crystal Palace,
00:35:23suddenly this coefficient,
00:35:25benefits Rangers of Rangers,
00:35:26could somehow win the title,
00:35:28they've got a real chance,
00:35:30because of the permutations,
00:35:31and the coefficient,
00:35:32and their performances in Europe,
00:35:34they've got a real chance,
00:35:35Ruffy,
00:35:36straight into the Champions League,
00:35:38group stage next season,
00:35:39if they were to win the title,
00:35:41that would be a £40 million plus kitty.
00:35:43Well,
00:35:44I think that's what the owners,
00:35:45come in for,
00:35:46you know,
00:35:46they've laid their money,
00:35:48on the line,
00:35:48and obviously,
00:35:49they want to recoup some of it,
00:35:51and obviously,
00:35:51they've saw how well,
00:35:52the Rangers have done,
00:35:53and that amount of money,
00:35:55going back into the kitty,
00:35:56would just give them more money,
00:35:57to rebuild next year.
00:35:59Okay,
00:35:59give us your prediction,
00:36:00Ruffy,
00:36:00based on what Hearts are doing,
00:36:02they've won the last,
00:36:03five league games,
00:36:04at home,
00:36:05at Tyne Castle,
00:36:06against a Rangers side,
00:36:08that,
00:36:08as you mentioned there,
00:36:10have to turn up.
00:36:12Yeah,
00:36:12I am confused,
00:36:13with this game,
00:36:14obviously,
00:36:15I thought Rangers were very,
00:36:16very poor last week.
00:36:17It was a wee scale,
00:36:17from your back end.
00:36:18No,
00:36:18I'm not going to go one each,
00:36:20I'm refusing to go one each,
00:36:22no,
00:36:24I'm confused with Hearts as well,
00:36:25obviously,
00:36:26in the Motherwell game,
00:36:27and the Hibs game,
00:36:28against,
00:36:29I'm going to go for the home advantage,
00:36:31I said the teams that win the home games,
00:36:33will win the league,
00:36:34and I think Hearts will keep it going,
00:36:35I'm going to go Hearts 2-1.
00:36:37Hearts 2-1,
00:36:38and Hearts to win the league then?
00:36:39No,
00:36:39no,
00:36:40I'm saying they need to win their home games,
00:36:42yeah,
00:36:42so if they don't win their home game,
00:36:44they're not going to win the league.
00:36:45Right,
00:36:45so Hearts to win 2-1,
00:36:47right,
00:36:47okay,
00:36:49Tam,
00:36:50it's your big call,
00:36:52what are you thinking?
00:36:55I fancy Rangers in this game,
00:36:57I fancy Rangers,
00:36:59I think that Hearts,
00:37:01have been getting away with it,
00:37:02in recent weeks,
00:37:04and listen,
00:37:05if it's 11 v 11,
00:37:06listen,
00:37:06games can change,
00:37:07in a blink of an eye,
00:37:08with red cards and stuff,
00:37:08but,
00:37:10I think Rangers will reignite their title chances,
00:37:13and I think Rangers will go and win 2-1.
00:37:15Interesting,
00:37:16because,
00:37:17I don't know if you remember,
00:37:18when there were six games to go,
00:37:20you and I decided to predict the games,
00:37:23and obviously I had Hearts to win the title,
00:37:26but as I look all the way down,
00:37:28two of those predictions,
00:37:29from all those weeks ago,
00:37:30Tam,
00:37:31we both had Celtic to beat Falkirk,
00:37:34but you had Rangers to beat Motherwell,
00:37:37and I had Hearts to beat Hibs 2-1,
00:37:40now the totals I've got,
00:37:42Hearts on 82 points,
00:37:44Celtic on 80,
00:37:45Rangers on 78,
00:37:46you had Celtic on 80,
00:37:49Rangers on 77,
00:37:50and Hearts on 74,
00:37:52are you sticking by that?
00:37:57This weekend is going to tell you everything,
00:37:59Peter,
00:38:00this is the weekend,
00:38:01I think Celtic need to beat Hibs,
00:38:03Celtic don't beat Hibs,
00:38:04I think regardless of what the score is in the Hibs game,
00:38:07in the Hearts game,
00:38:07I think Hearts will win the league,
00:38:08okay,
00:38:09so I'm going to go for Rangers to beat Hearts,
00:38:13okay,
00:38:13I'll go Hearts to beat Rangers 2-1,
00:38:16Ralphie,
00:38:17is that because you're going to the game?
00:38:22No,
00:38:23no,
00:38:23it's because I predicted it,
00:38:25in fact,
00:38:25what did I predict actually?
00:38:27I had Hearts to beat Rangers 2-1,
00:38:31in the predictions from two or three weeks ago,
00:38:33Tam,
00:38:33and you had 1-1,
00:38:34so you've changed your mind now,
00:38:36to Rangers winning 2-1,
00:38:38you've gone with Hearts to win 2-1,
00:38:41and I'm going to go Hearts to win the game,
00:38:44because I think they've got more about them,
00:38:46they're up for it,
00:38:47and I think they've got a goal scorer in Shanklin,
00:38:52but I think they've got creative players down the wing as well,
00:38:54that'll be well up,
00:38:56and I like Devlin,
00:38:57and I like Leonard,
00:38:58I think Leonard's come in,
00:38:59he's been a master stroke,
00:39:01as a loan signing,
00:39:05that's been a really good bit of recruitment from them,
00:39:09set pieces will be the key to it,
00:39:11it's not going to be a classic,
00:39:12it's not going to be Bayern Munich against PSG,
00:39:15it's just going to be blood,
00:39:17guts and thunder,
00:39:17and the referee,
00:39:18it's going to be an exciting game,
00:39:19no matter what,
00:39:20because there's so much at stake,
00:39:21I think when you see games like that,
00:39:22when there's so much at stake,
00:39:23there's always an edge to it,
00:39:24yeah,
00:39:25also I think,
00:39:26it might be a good idea,
00:39:27I'm just suggesting this,
00:39:28might be a good idea for Hearts,
00:39:31maybe their PR guy,
00:39:32to phone Edinburgh Airport,
00:39:35because the ball will need a flight path,
00:39:37because I don't see it being on the ground too often,
00:39:40no,
00:39:41I think deliveries into the box will be really crucial,
00:39:44I think Hearts are good at that,
00:39:47you know,
00:39:47they're very,
00:39:48very difficult to defend,
00:39:50Rangers are also good,
00:39:51you know,
00:39:52free kicks,
00:39:52that kind of corner,
00:39:53so,
00:39:54I hope,
00:39:55I hope it's,
00:39:56the game is decided by an absolutely screamery,
00:39:59a goal or something,
00:40:00a bit of quality,
00:40:01that we can talk about.
00:40:02Yeah,
00:40:02okay,
00:40:03Kenny's saying,
00:40:04let's talk about the big game tonight,
00:40:05Livy against Dons,
00:40:06we will obviously digest that game over the course of the weekend,
00:40:11on Monday and Tuesday at Ruffy,
00:40:13because no point in talking about it now,
00:40:15because it will date the programme quickly,
00:40:17sorry about that Kenny,
00:40:18the only one thing I would say,
00:40:20that I picked up on some of the notes today,
00:40:22obviously,
00:40:22when Stephen Robinson and some of the players get interviewed,
00:40:26I know it's Liam Morrison talking about it,
00:40:29you know,
00:40:29that everybody wanted Aberdeen to finish in 11th,
00:40:31I mean,
00:40:32that's a lot of claptrap,
00:40:33I don't know anybody that's got a,
00:40:35I don't know anybody that's got a bee in their bonnet about Aberdeen,
00:40:38the only thing we were looking at,
00:40:40was a team that should have sacked their manager long ago,
00:40:43and in the end,
00:40:44ended up going for one of the candidates,
00:40:46that they should have gone for a year ago,
00:40:48it's as simple as that,
00:40:49nobody wants Aberdeen out of the league,
00:40:51certainly nobody wants them to fail,
00:40:52I think this is just,
00:40:53some kind of nonsense created by some of the Dons players.
00:40:56Yeah,
00:40:57maybe it's a single mentality,
00:40:58they're trying to build up there,
00:40:59that everybody hates us,
00:41:00and wants us not to do well,
00:41:03That's fine if you've got Gordon Schrake and Mark McGee,
00:41:05Duke Reggie,
00:41:06I think we all realised that Aberdeen were going nowhere under Jimmy Tallinn,
00:41:10I think they made the change too late,
00:41:12which has led to them being in a relegation scrap,
00:41:15which they look as if they're going to climb out of,
00:41:17but I think if you were going to sack the manager,
00:41:21or bin the manager,
00:41:22they should have done it earlier,
00:41:23and got Steven Robinson in earlier,
00:41:25they wouldn't be looking over their shoulder at the minute.
00:41:27I think nobody would want a team as big as Aberdeen,
00:41:30to fall out of the league,
00:41:31I mean a lot of the other teams rely on their away sport,
00:41:35which is particularly good,
00:41:37and that's coffers into the other clubs,
00:41:39I think they've been very well supported,
00:41:41congratulations to the fans for hanging in there,
00:41:43and watching a team that's been absolutely dire for the whole season,
00:41:47so no,
00:41:47I think we want them in the league,
00:41:49there's no doubt about that.
00:41:50Yeah,
00:41:50absolutely,
00:41:50and I think they've got a good man in Steven Robinson,
00:41:52he'll make a difference once he gets his teeth into that transfer window in the summer,
00:41:58I think we'll go for Aberdeen,
00:42:01can't see any slip-ups anywhere off you.
00:42:03I'm going to go for a drawing,
00:42:05Aberdeen,
00:42:05thanks to Aberdeen.
00:42:06Yeah,
00:42:06absolutely.
00:42:07Dundee St Mirren,
00:42:08Steven Presley says he agonises Ruffy over team selection at the moment,
00:42:12as he was a young coach,
00:42:13maybe,
00:42:15you know,
00:42:15as he goes through this learning curve,
00:42:17he's now peering more and more attention into picking the right team,
00:42:21to get what I think has to be the win that sees them safely in the Premiership,
00:42:27what do you think against St Mirren?
00:42:29Yeah,
00:42:29well,
00:42:29obviously,
00:42:30we've been talking about St Mirren,
00:42:32they've just went off the edge,
00:42:34confidence seems to be very,
00:42:35very low there,
00:42:36I think Dundee at home,
00:42:38I've got certain players there who look fit,
00:42:41they look as if they're buzzing,
00:42:43particularly at home,
00:42:44so,
00:42:45I think it's going to be a tough one for St Mirren,
00:42:46you know,
00:42:47I really do,
00:42:47and obviously they lost their manager,
00:42:50which was a big,
00:42:50big,
00:42:51big,
00:42:52big shout as well,
00:42:52so for me,
00:42:54Dundee,
00:42:54I think the home advantage of this one with Dundee will win it.
00:42:57Yeah,
00:42:57I have a sneaky feeling about this one as well,
00:42:59Tam,
00:43:00the one thing I would say about Dundee,
00:43:02we were complimentary about them,
00:43:04because they went on a run of unbeaten in five games,
00:43:07but certainly since then,
00:43:08they've lost three and had a draw.
00:43:10Yeah,
00:43:11it's the wrong time,
00:43:12it's the wrong time of the season to be,
00:43:14you know,
00:43:14going out and hitting some poor form,
00:43:16and that's what Dundee have done,
00:43:17you know,
00:43:18they looked as if they were safe earlier,
00:43:19you know,
00:43:19maybe four or five weeks ago,
00:43:21they looked as if,
00:43:22with a couple of wins,
00:43:23they climbed out of that relegation trouble,
00:43:25but they've been sucked back in,
00:43:27by Camarnock picking up a couple of results,
00:43:29and Murr picking up back-to-back wins,
00:43:30so,
00:43:31yeah,
00:43:31it is a big game,
00:43:32and I'd,
00:43:34I'd probably agree with Ruffey,
00:43:35I think they're at home advantage in this game,
00:43:37you know,
00:43:37I think that Dundee,
00:43:39you know,
00:43:39can get the win,
00:43:41I still think that Dundee need,
00:43:43need a win for somewhere,
00:43:44just to make sure,
00:43:47Murr probably in the same boat,
00:43:48maybe a win gets him out of trouble,
00:43:50but,
00:43:50I think Dundee home advantage,
00:43:53will win,
00:43:542-1.
00:43:55You've got to hope Dundee win,
00:43:57Tam,
00:43:58I mean,
00:43:58it's absolutely vital that Dundee win for you,
00:44:01because we're with Stephen Presley on Sunday,
00:44:05so,
00:44:05you don't want him on a downer,
00:44:06you know.
00:44:06Back-to-back,
00:44:08back-to-back defeats,
00:44:09sending Jonah rolling into town,
00:44:10it's no great for him,
00:44:11but.
00:44:11You look forward to going back to Dundee on Sunday,
00:44:13hopefully you're going to be funny,
00:44:14Tam.
00:44:14Yeah,
00:44:15yeah,
00:44:15I'm looking forward to it,
00:44:15I'm looking forward to seeing Big Elvis again,
00:44:17I've seen him for a while,
00:44:18and,
00:44:19he's got a very dry sense of humour,
00:44:20as you know,
00:44:21so,
00:44:21hopefully he comes out with some decent patter,
00:44:23a change.
00:44:24Absolutely,
00:44:25and a lot of new,
00:44:26you're doing a lot of new material.
00:44:27Yes.
00:44:28Written stuff.
00:44:28Yep,
00:44:29and,
00:44:30you know,
00:44:30I like to change my material about,
00:44:32I don't just stick to the same script for 25 years.
00:44:37That's brilliant.
00:44:39Well done,
00:44:39Tam.
00:44:41Just threw it up for you there,
00:44:42and you're just leathered him into left field.
00:44:44So,
00:44:45I'm going to go Dundee to win by a couple of goals.
00:44:47Obviously,
00:44:47Ross Sinclair still in there in the emergency loan from St.
00:44:51Johnston,
00:44:51he'll take his place in the goal.
00:44:53St.
00:44:53Mirren,
00:44:53I think,
00:44:54maybe at this point.
00:44:55By the way,
00:44:56I've got to say well done to Keith Lasley.
00:44:58He won a business award for being one of the best chief executives,
00:45:03and he's a top guy.
00:45:04He's got a lot of time for him.
00:45:05I think he's a really good lad,
00:45:07but I think there's a big decision.
00:45:09I think the board are maybe looking and thinking,
00:45:12oh my God,
00:45:13are we going to get it in the neck for sticking with Craig McLeish here,
00:45:15if this all goes pear-shaped?
00:45:16I thought the first half last week,
00:45:18there were numerous chances to take a grip of that game.
00:45:22Okay,
00:45:22Loveyston got a couple of breakaways,
00:45:24and well done to them,
00:45:25but I think they'd be scratching their head,
00:45:28and thinking how they never took something out of that one.
00:45:30So,
00:45:30if they start the first half in this way,
00:45:32the way they did last week,
00:45:33and get a couple of breaks here and there,
00:45:35they've got a chance,
00:45:36but I just think Motherwell at home will be buzzing,
00:45:39and I'm going to go Dundee 2-1.
00:45:42Dundee 2-1 against St Myrne.
00:45:44Right,
00:45:44okay,
00:45:44Falkirk Motherwell,
00:45:45John McGlin has said,
00:45:47that he hopes that the manager of the year,
00:45:50doesn't come down to maybe one or two solitary votes,
00:45:53because he's voted for Derek McInnes,
00:45:55doesn't want to lose out to him,
00:45:57but I think he's of the opinion that he rates Derek very highly,
00:46:01and he thinks he's going to be the manager of the year,
00:46:03at the PFA Scotland Awards on Sunday night,
00:46:05Ruffy.
00:46:06Yeah,
00:46:06I think if Derek wins the league,
00:46:07he deserves it,
00:46:08there's no doubt about that.
00:46:09Let's not go down that road again,
00:46:10it's a long winded four minutes,
00:46:12and then you eventually said McInnes.
00:46:13No,
00:46:14I hope it,
00:46:15if he wins it,
00:46:16yes,
00:46:18if he doesn't win it,
00:46:19then I have my doubts.
00:46:21If he doesn't win it,
00:46:22it comes into the game.
00:46:23No,
00:46:23no,
00:46:23you explained that to you the other day there,
00:46:24it's just a lot of crap.
00:46:26No,
00:46:26it's not.
00:46:26You just wasted four minutes,
00:46:27and I wrote that in the other day.
00:46:28If he doesn't win it,
00:46:30he splits the old firm.
00:46:31No,
00:46:31if he doesn't win it,
00:46:34the other candidates haven't won in either.
00:46:37Right.
00:46:37So then it goes into,
00:46:39then it goes into your one,
00:46:41function above your weight decision,
00:46:44and then you've got to decide,
00:46:45is it Hearts,
00:46:46is it Falkirk?
00:46:47Listen,
00:46:48it's not going to be Rangers or Celtic,
00:46:49the manager hasn't been there until the year.
00:46:50I'm not saying Rangers or Celtic,
00:46:52if none of them,
00:46:53the other candidates don't win in,
00:46:55then you've got to decide who's done the best of the best.
00:46:58Yeah,
00:46:58I'm not going to get down that road with you again,
00:47:00it's Derek McKenna,
00:47:00and that's it.
00:47:02Anyway,
00:47:02apart from anything else,
00:47:03well done to Gary Naismith and John McGlynn
00:47:05for fantastic performances.
00:47:07I think this is,
00:47:09this is,
00:47:10as I mentioned to a Motherwell fan this morning,
00:47:13this is Bayern Munich PSG,
00:47:15Scottish style,
00:47:16two really good footballing teams at Falkirk,
00:47:19and it's a tough one to call,
00:47:22isn't it?
00:47:22Yeah,
00:47:23I thought Falkirk in Spells last week against Celtic
00:47:25played some really,
00:47:26really good football.
00:47:27I thought 3-1,
00:47:29kind of flattered Celtic,
00:47:30I thought Falkirk in Spells were the better side,
00:47:33but they seem to be shipping a few goals at the minute,
00:47:35Falkirk,
00:47:36which is only concern.
00:47:39Motherwell,
00:47:40on the other hand,
00:47:41five games without a win,
00:47:42then go to Ibrox and win 3-2
00:47:44and play some great football,
00:47:45so it's a hard one to call.
00:47:46I think it's going to be open,
00:47:47I think both teams,
00:47:48both managers will send their teams out to attack.
00:47:51Certainly don't see a 0-0 here,
00:47:52so I'm going to go for a thriller,
00:47:543-2 to Motherwell.
00:47:553-2?
00:47:57That will be a thriller,
00:47:58Ruffy.
00:47:58Yeah,
00:47:59I'm going to go for Motherwell as well.
00:48:00High scoring?
00:48:01It wouldn't surprise me if it was 3-2 to Falkirk,
00:48:03either way,
00:48:03I think there'll be goals,
00:48:04isn't it?
00:48:05Yeah,
00:48:05I think Motherwell were impressive last week,
00:48:08and they've got to build on that,
00:48:09they've got to go,
00:48:10you know,
00:48:10to Falkirk and put on a short.
00:48:11I do think nobody will be sitting in,
00:48:13it'll be on NTN stuff,
00:48:15you know,
00:48:16and I think both sides will get players on their team
00:48:18to score goals,
00:48:19so I'm going to go for 1-0.
00:48:20You on the,
00:48:22one goal?
00:48:23One goal,
00:48:24Motherwell,
00:48:251-0.
00:48:25And Falkirk are going to keep a clean sheet?
00:48:29No,
00:48:29no,
00:48:29they're going to get beat.
00:48:30Motherwell will keep a clean sheet.
00:48:31Motherwell will keep a clean sheet.
00:48:32Do you think Jensberth,
00:48:33the last guy will be there next season?
00:48:37I think he's done enough
00:48:38to progress to a bigger side.
00:48:42You know,
00:48:43I think,
00:48:44again,
00:48:44it's,
00:48:45you're asking me,
00:48:46yeah,
00:48:46I would,
00:48:46if another bigger club comes in,
00:48:48I would go and take it.
00:48:50I was golfing with Motherwell director on Tuesday.
00:48:53Go on.
00:48:53And he's confident that Jens will be there next season.
00:48:56Is that right?
00:48:57Mm-hmm.
00:48:58That doesn't augur well for some Celtic fans
00:49:00who want to see him there.
00:49:02Yeah.
00:49:03That'll be interesting to see,
00:49:04if he says he's confident that he'll be there next season,
00:49:07you're suddenly saying to yourself,
00:49:09those odds on Robbie Keane
00:49:11are starting to dwindle quickly,
00:49:12aren't they?
00:49:12He's wasn't going to tell me
00:49:13if he wasn't anyway,
00:49:14was he?
00:49:14Because he knows he's got to tell you.
00:49:16Yeah.
00:49:16All right,
00:49:17OK.
00:49:18No,
00:49:20me personally,
00:49:21I think he'll be winning summer.
00:49:22I think he's done enough.
00:49:23The style of play,
00:49:24the way Motherwell have been playing football,
00:49:25I think he's done enough
00:49:26to go and get a bigger job
00:49:28in a bigger league.
00:49:28Thanks to Franny,
00:49:29who says Motherwell to win,
00:49:31but
00:49:33it's quite a number of people.
00:49:35Motherwell might just have a wee bit
00:49:37too much for Falkirk
00:49:38from middle to front.
00:49:39That's why I think they'll win,
00:49:40says Michael Taylor.
00:49:41Thanks for that,
00:49:41Michael.
00:49:42Lots of people giving us their thoughts
00:49:44on who they think
00:49:45is going to win at the top end,
00:49:47those two massive games.
00:49:49And then,
00:49:49of course,
00:49:50the other games
00:49:50that we've been talking about.
00:49:51One at the other end of it,
00:49:52is Kilmarnock-Dundee United
00:49:54is an interesting one,
00:49:55Ruffy,
00:49:55because pride and win bonuses
00:49:58is what Jim Goodwin's talking about
00:49:59for Dundee United.
00:50:00They've still got a lot of
00:50:02work to do.
00:50:03They've gone to finish
00:50:04the best of the rest
00:50:05in the bottom half.
00:50:07Has he had a good season
00:50:08or maybe did it promise
00:50:09a bit more?
00:50:10I think the start,
00:50:11when he brought all his players in,
00:50:13I think most of his team
00:50:14were all foreign players.
00:50:15I think he got a turn out of them.
00:50:17Then they went off the boil
00:50:18a wee bit
00:50:19for whatever reason.
00:50:21And they've been in and out
00:50:22since then.
00:50:23A couple of good results
00:50:24here and there.
00:50:24Obviously the Celtic result.
00:50:26But I think
00:50:27there's that many players
00:50:28there that are on loan.
00:50:29You don't know who's staying,
00:50:31who's going to weigh.
00:50:31And so him,
00:50:33Jim Goodwin and myself
00:50:34will be trying to assess
00:50:35the squad
00:50:36and the players
00:50:37that he really,
00:50:38really wants for next year
00:50:39because he's done well
00:50:40in picking people
00:50:42from over.
00:50:42Yeah,
00:50:43and of course
00:50:43you expect him to lose
00:50:44Fata.
00:50:45I think he'll leave
00:50:46in the summer
00:50:47and go back on loan
00:50:47and then somebody
00:50:48will go and
00:50:50get a quick grip of him
00:50:51at £2 and £3 million.
00:50:52Is that for you?
00:50:53I've been really impressed
00:50:53with him this season
00:50:54with Dundee United.
00:50:55I think he's looked
00:50:55very lively.
00:50:56He scored some great goals.
00:50:58I've seen him
00:50:58playing at Ibrox a few weeks ago
00:50:59who thought he was outstanding.
00:51:00So yeah,
00:51:01he's definitely,
00:51:03would definitely
00:51:04have caught the eye
00:51:04of Celtic Rangers here
00:51:05and probably other clubs
00:51:07down south.
00:51:07What happened to the big boy
00:51:08you liked in midfield?
00:51:09Was he injured for a while?
00:51:11Was it Kamara?
00:51:12yeah,
00:51:12I like him.
00:51:12I thought he was very,
00:51:14very good at starting.
00:51:14I think Wulf Ferry as well.
00:51:16Yeah,
00:51:16Wulf Ferry.
00:51:17Somebody will be looking at him.
00:51:18He's been excellent.
00:51:19Even when he's not connecting
00:51:21with it correctly,
00:51:23it ends up in the back
00:51:23of the net.
00:51:24Kilmarnock,
00:51:25well,
00:51:26they showed positives
00:51:27in the game
00:51:27when they lost to Aberdeen.
00:51:29They hit the bar,
00:51:29I think,
00:51:29three times roughly.
00:51:31Just hasn't worked out
00:51:32for them.
00:51:32He's still trying to get
00:51:33a trick out of them.
00:51:35I think he'll probably,
00:51:37my gut feeling is
00:51:38between Kilmarnock
00:51:39and St Mirren,
00:51:40they'll probably start
00:51:40to send scouts out
00:51:42to the championship playoffs
00:51:44to see who they're
00:51:45going to be playing.
00:51:46Well,
00:51:46I think both clubs
00:51:47should have done that
00:51:48by now.
00:51:50If they've got anything
00:51:51to go by,
00:51:52I think it's going to be
00:51:54a big,
00:51:54big shout for both of them.
00:51:56No club,
00:51:57well,
00:51:58both of them will know
00:51:59the void of going down
00:52:01into that championship,
00:52:02the much money they lose
00:52:03and then the players
00:52:04start saying,
00:52:05well,
00:52:05I don't want to play
00:52:06in the championship
00:52:06so they start losing players.
00:52:08So,
00:52:09yeah,
00:52:10a lot of things
00:52:10can happen
00:52:11when that decision comes
00:52:12and you can't even
00:52:13negotiate new contracts
00:52:14until you find out
00:52:15where you are.
00:52:16Yeah,
00:52:16absolutely,
00:52:17which my heart
00:52:19goes out to the board
00:52:21at Tottenham Hotspur
00:52:23because it's going to be
00:52:24a humdinger of a season
00:52:25for them
00:52:25if they go down,
00:52:26isn't it,
00:52:26Tam?
00:52:27Yeah.
00:52:27Trying to work out
00:52:28players who are on
00:52:30astronomical wages.
00:52:30It's a disaster
00:52:32for them,
00:52:33but I'd fancy
00:52:34Kilmarnock
00:52:35in this game,
00:52:35Peter.
00:52:35I think I've been
00:52:36in both situations.
00:52:37I've been in a relegation
00:52:38dogfight
00:52:38when you're scrapping,
00:52:40you need a result
00:52:40and I've been in
00:52:41the 90s position
00:52:43where you're relatively
00:52:44safe.
00:52:44If you're in the bottom
00:52:45six,
00:52:46you're looking ahead
00:52:47to him,
00:52:47I'd be a roadie
00:52:49and coming off a bat,
00:52:50I'd fancy Kilmarnock
00:52:51really strongly in this game
00:52:51actually to win,
00:52:522-0.
00:52:52So Kilmarnock to win
00:52:54and certainly if they win
00:52:55and St Mirren don't win,
00:52:57Kilmarnock would leapfrog
00:52:58St Mirren.
00:52:59I think you're going
00:52:59to see that Kilmarnock
00:53:01and St Mirren both
00:53:03changing positions
00:53:04between now and
00:53:05the end of the season.
00:53:06I really fancy Kilmarnock.
00:53:08I think they've got
00:53:08more at stake
00:53:10and I think they'll
00:53:11win the game 2-0.
00:53:12What do you mean
00:53:12by more at stake?
00:53:14There's more at stake
00:53:15for Kilmarnock
00:53:15than their second
00:53:16bottom at the minute.
00:53:18You can talk about
00:53:18the 90-dollar win
00:53:19bonuses and stuff like that
00:53:20but they're safe.
00:53:24I'd fancy Kilmarnock
00:53:25to beat them.
00:53:25Okay, Rafi?
00:53:26Yeah, I fancy Kilmarnock
00:53:27as well.
00:53:28I think the players
00:53:29in the back of their mind
00:53:30won't want to go down
00:53:31to that championship.
00:53:32It's terrible year in,
00:53:33that kind of
00:53:34end of the season battle.
00:53:36But I think last week
00:53:38there was enough
00:53:39for Neil McCann
00:53:40to see that the players
00:53:41are still fighting
00:53:42and that's what you want.
00:53:439th of May,
00:53:44St Mirren-Kilmarnock.
00:53:45What a game that's
00:53:46going to be, isn't it?
00:53:47That will be
00:53:48blood, guts and thunder
00:53:49but it's in Paisley
00:53:51whether that makes
00:53:52a difference or not.
00:53:52Only time will tell
00:53:53but there you are.
00:53:54We've called all six of them.
00:53:56I hope everybody
00:53:57has a great time
00:53:57at the PFA Scotland
00:54:00Player of the Year Awards.
00:54:01I certainly enjoyed it
00:54:02over the course
00:54:04of many, many years.
00:54:06It's a great gala event,
00:54:08well run by Susie
00:54:09and the team
00:54:09and of course
00:54:11Fraser and the PFA Scotland
00:54:12do a wonderful job
00:54:13trying to get everybody together.
00:54:15It's going to be
00:54:16I think a special one
00:54:17because quite simply
00:54:18it's dominated by
00:54:20Motherwell and Hearts.
00:54:22It's a long, long time
00:54:23since Celtic and Rangers
00:54:24have not been in the mix.
00:54:25I hope,
00:54:26I really, really hope
00:54:27that although they're not
00:54:28in the mix
00:54:29they're there.
00:54:30There's been a lot of occasions
00:54:31when Rangers and Celtic
00:54:32have got a table.
00:54:33Not a chance in hell.
00:54:34I know
00:54:34and I always feel
00:54:35that's disappointing
00:54:36if one of the two of them
00:54:37don't have any nominations
00:54:39and they haven't won
00:54:40and they just blank
00:54:41the whole dinner.
00:54:43It's about every team
00:54:44in Scotland
00:54:45so they should be there
00:54:48represented at the dinner
00:54:49because it's the players' dinner.
00:54:50Is it this Sunday?
00:54:51Yes.
00:54:52Well the Hearts
00:54:52and the Rangers players
00:54:53won't be there.
00:54:54Exactly.
00:54:54Sometimes they come
00:54:55and they might be staying
00:54:56somewhere in the next day.
00:54:57No, no.
00:54:58You just show up
00:54:59and they leave.
00:54:59No.
00:55:00No.
00:55:00No chance.
00:55:01Not a chance in hell.
00:55:02That's a shame.
00:55:02You wouldn't expect them
00:55:03The only two people
00:55:04that will be there
00:55:07to come in
00:55:08to pick up an award
00:55:09Derek McKinnis
00:55:09will come in
00:55:10for an hour
00:55:10to pick up
00:55:11manager of the year
00:55:12which is our tip for it
00:55:14and then I think
00:55:15maybe at a push
00:55:16they might have to
00:55:19tip the link
00:55:19to Hearts
00:55:21if
00:55:21which I don't think
00:55:23they do.
00:55:23To be fair to Fraser
00:55:25he never tells any club
00:55:26who's won it.
00:55:27Until you open the envelope.
00:55:28Until you open the envelope.
00:55:29I mean I'll tell you
00:55:30one thing about Fraser
00:55:31is his integrity
00:55:33is not in question
00:55:34his loyalty
00:55:34because having presented
00:55:36it for 20 years
00:55:37I never got a sniff
00:55:38of anything
00:55:40maybe because he knew
00:55:41I had too many mates
00:55:42who were widows
00:55:44and I was happy
00:55:45that way
00:55:46I think it's the right
00:55:46thing to do
00:55:47so if Shanklin wins it
00:55:49will he be there
00:55:50will he be allowed
00:55:51to be there?
00:55:51They'll be preparing
00:55:51for the game
00:55:52not a chance
00:55:53yeah
00:55:53It's a shame
00:55:55but listen
00:55:55it's a big game
00:55:56on Monday
00:55:57pick up an award
00:55:59or actually prepare
00:55:59you can pick it up
00:56:00later on
00:56:00yeah absolutely
00:56:01I think the winner
00:56:03will be Eli Just anyway
00:56:04yes
00:56:05yeah
00:56:05so
00:56:06that kind of
00:56:07kills your argument
00:56:08young player
00:56:09Barney Stewart
00:56:10Barney Stewart
00:56:11Mickey Moore
00:56:12okay
00:56:13there you are
00:56:14give us your thoughts
00:56:14on that as well
00:56:15we'd love to know
00:56:16what you think
00:56:17on the player
00:56:20and
00:56:20I hear nobody there
00:56:21either
00:56:22I keep
00:56:22no exactly
00:56:25who's the presenter
00:56:26I don't know
00:56:29I don't know
00:56:29who's going to be there
00:56:30here's the winner
00:56:30he's no idea
00:56:31anyway
00:56:31no good luck to
00:56:32I don't know if it is
00:56:34I think it will be
00:56:35Grant Stott
00:56:36and Emma Dodds
00:56:37who will be the hosts
00:56:38again good luck to them
00:56:39it's a great night
00:56:39it's a great night for
00:56:41networking as well
00:56:42Tam
00:56:43that's one great thing
00:56:43you get a chance to see
00:56:44some of the people
00:56:45that you've kicked lumps
00:56:46out of
00:56:47for the season
00:56:48and you get a chance to
00:56:49you know
00:56:49get to meet people
00:56:51that you haven't
00:56:51seen over the years
00:56:53over the season as well
00:56:55and
00:56:56you make new friendships
00:56:57along the way
00:56:57yeah you certainly do
00:56:58you can tell
00:56:59the people who are at
00:57:00the bar at 3 o'clock
00:57:02in the morning
00:57:02generally
00:57:04absolutely
00:57:05anyway
00:57:06apart from that
00:57:07just one little footnote
00:57:09if Norringham Forest
00:57:11against Aston Villa
00:57:12is anything to go by
00:57:13I think
00:57:14I might give her a miss
00:57:16next week
00:57:16it wasn't great
00:57:17the best game of the week
00:57:18for me this week
00:57:19is Bayern Munich
00:57:21PSG
00:57:22in Paris
00:57:23it was absolutely fantastic
00:57:25wasn't it
00:57:25yeah I'm looking forward
00:57:26to that
00:57:26the replay of that
00:57:27it's obviously
00:57:27second leg next week
00:57:28I think Villa-Forest
00:57:30was always going to be
00:57:30a tight game
00:57:31and it'll be tight
00:57:32at Villa Park as well
00:57:33but
00:57:34get us out for Crystal Palace
00:57:35so you might see

00:58:05we edited Turnberry
00:58:06when you were negotiating
00:58:08while I was trying
00:58:09to hit a three
00:58:09three window into the green
00:58:12exactly
00:58:13and the other thing
00:58:14well the other thing
00:58:14I was going to say to you
00:58:15about this is
00:58:16the next time
00:58:17if we ever get invited

00:58:47particularly well
00:58:47in one of the
00:58:48European competitions
00:58:49I think they got
00:58:50the semi-final
00:58:51and they did
00:58:52win the league
00:58:53Kilmarnock
00:58:54run about then
00:58:54so I would think
