00:01:58just getting to the semi-final and to miss out at that stage is heartbreaking.

00:02:06Even as a schoolboy, we used to get to finals and things

00:02:09and just couldn't win the Scottish Cup.

00:02:11But what an opportunity now for Dunfermline.

00:02:13You know, they've done remarkably well to get to the Stage 3 Premier League teams.

00:02:18You know, Neil's managed to negotiate that.

00:02:21And it'll go into this with all the pressure off.

00:02:53questioning his credentials as a manager.

00:02:55But you'll have to look at his CV and what he's won to see the quality that Neil has.

00:03:17And that was Celtic 6, St Mirren 2 after extra time.

00:03:22Great credit, I think, to St Mirren who made a real go of it.

00:03:25But it was a real strange game, obviously.

00:03:28St Mirren got off to the worst possible start.

00:03:30I mean, Craig and Stuart Taylor all week.

00:03:32Game plan.

00:03:33You know, Alex probably the same with Mark Martin.

00:03:34They get through everything.

00:03:35And then your goalie just has a nightmare.

00:03:37I mean, surely every goalkeeper in Scotland knows that Dyson Midas is quick.

00:03:40And he shuts the goalie down.

00:03:41And to lose a goal within the first minute of the game just puts you in the back foot.

00:03:46I thought Celtic really went for the throat.

00:03:48I think they obviously hit the post.

00:03:49And then I thought, they get another quick one.

00:03:51I think the game's over.

00:03:53St Mirren kind of stayed in the game.

00:03:542-0, you think the game is over.

00:03:56And then they get a goal for a set piece.

00:03:58Great header for Mandron.

00:03:59And then the last 20 minutes, I thought, St Mirren score here.

00:04:03I think if St Mirren scored before that, I think they would only win the game.

00:04:06They were batting Celtic the last 10-15 minutes.

00:04:09And they get the equaliser.

00:04:11And then you think, anyone's game here.

00:04:13And then the changes that Celtic made.

00:04:15Martin O'Neill, you know, bringing Ian Acho and Forest on, changed the game.

00:04:18And they get a couple of other goals.

00:04:20I couldn't believe it.

00:04:21I mean, I went for a pee and come back and it was 4-2.

00:04:24A long pee, that was.

00:04:25It was a long pee.

00:04:27Cut my pints deep.

00:04:29And come back and it was 4-2.

00:04:30So, yeah, I couldn't believe it.

00:04:33I didn't see 6-2 come the next time.

00:04:34But fair play to Celtic.

00:04:36They got the job done.

00:04:36But I think St Mirren can take a lot for that game.

00:04:40I thought they caused Celtic a lot of problems.

00:04:43And I think they just ran out of steam an extra time.

00:04:46I mean, goalkeepers at the best of times.

00:04:49Donnarumma with Kai Havertz had the same type of blunder.

00:04:54You know, you think you've got that extra bit of time.

00:04:57And then all of a sudden, you've got a quick centre-forward.

00:05:00You're in trouble.

00:05:01Yeah, but listen, it's just the way that the modern game is, Peter.

00:05:05And you mentioned, obviously, Donnarumma that Havertz closes him down.

00:05:09In the first two minutes of that game as well, the Arsenal keeper,

00:05:14you know when they've got a goal kick, play to the goalkeeper,

00:05:18takes a touch, and his touch is heavy.

00:05:21And Alfie Haaland has just come in at 100 mile an hour

00:05:25and he literally has to kick it laterally for a goal kick.

00:05:29In the first couple of minutes, you think to yourself,

00:05:30these guys are explosive.

00:05:33And again, you've seen that against St Mirren.

00:05:37The boy knows, he must know he's going to get closed down,

00:05:39but they continuously play out for the back.

00:05:42And it's a philosophy.

00:05:43And they think that they get more joy over the course of the season.

00:05:46Well, tell me this.

00:05:47Why do you suddenly get to a situation where every manager,

00:05:52you know, it's like somebody said, oh, by the way,

00:05:55if you put a plaster on your nose, you'll be able to breathe easier,

00:05:59you know, and then everybody embraces this

00:06:01and they're all walking about looking stupid.

00:06:03By the way, why don't you cut the back end of your socks

00:06:05and that'll help your calves as well?

00:06:07You know, everybody's doing it.

00:06:09I mean, I cannot get it.

00:06:10I was at the Everton-Liverpool game and I'll tell you right now,

00:06:13Jordan Pickford was not for any of that.

00:06:20And it's almost as if it's been a fad

00:07:06I think you've got to have that plan B

00:07:07that if you just can't play it,

00:07:09you've got to just drop it in.

00:07:10Let the goalkeeper make his decision on it.

00:07:12But the point, again,

00:07:13and I do not know why,

00:07:16and lots of people who watch the show

00:07:18will be able to give us their thoughts on it as well,

00:07:23some people are amazed

00:07:24by people getting abuse

00:07:27with regards to social media

00:07:28and I wouldn't even react to them

00:07:30because, quite simply,

00:07:32if you've got people

00:07:33absolutely slaughtering Ryan Mullen for it,

00:07:36I mean, Alex Gogich has come out,

00:07:37and I understand the team ethic of it,

00:07:39come out and absolutely criticising them for it,

00:07:41but what do you expect in today's society?

00:07:44I mean, I put a tweet out last week

00:07:47being positive about Carla McGregor

00:07:48and I just said,

00:07:49and by the way,

00:07:50I just put in brags,

00:07:51and by the way,

00:07:51I will not be back for the abuse

00:07:53that's undoubtedly about to come.
