00:00Very cruel.
00:03They're good mates, though.
00:06The sixth meeting in the Scottish Cup between these two.
00:09Falkirk 3-1 up on the head-to-head.
00:14And the first meeting in this tournament since they met at this stage in 2009.
00:20John McGlynn's got a good Scottish Cup history.
00:23He was Valdas Ibnowskis's assistant at Hearts in 2006.
00:27He took Wraith Rovers into the semis.
00:30In 2010, beaten by Dundee and Aiton.
00:36He has had Falkirk at Hampden previously.
00:42As the second half gets underway,
00:44and Fairland in there, black and white shooting towards the west end of the stadium.
00:50Second-tier sides have been involved in the Scottish Cup final seven times since the turn of the century.
00:58Albeit Hearts were in the top flight at the start of the 19-20 tournament,
01:02playing the semis and final after their relegation that year.
01:06Queen of the South, Ross County, Falkirk themselves, Hibbs and Rangers, when they faced each other in 2016.
01:15As I mentioned, Hearts, Cali Thistle most recently, Gretnauer in the third tier, when they made the final 20 years
01:23ago this year.
01:27Remarkable that two decades have passed since then, no changes from either manager for the start of the second half.
01:36Falkirk shooting east towards their own supporters.
01:41Fairland started the first half very strongly indeed, and here is Morrison.
01:49He used to free himself of Henderson, but the support arrived from Spencer.
01:56It was like a chess match in that first half, James.
01:59Are you hoping for something a little bit more open?
02:02Yeah, but I'm not expecting to see anything more open.
02:04I think that, you know, Dunferman started the game very well, managed to get in behind.
02:09Falkirk managed to stop them from playing out, but then once Falkirk were able to get at least a particular
02:14free on the right-hand side,
02:16it then disrupted Dunferman to the point where they get so much control in the game, they couldn't really get
02:22that opportunity.
02:23Henderson has been ransacked.
02:25Here's Morrison.
02:27And the pass needed to come sooner, and the free kick's gone against him.
02:32Yeah, he has to play the pass, a great opportunity for Dunferman.
02:36They nick it, they get on the break.
02:39Andrew Todd is making up so much ground in his left-hand side.
02:43You can see him just coming into picture.
02:45Carl Morrison just can't get it out of his feet.
02:47I don't think he's got any intention to play in that pass.
02:49He has to get his head up and play that into the path of Andrew Todd.
02:53Andrew Todd just overruns it, then gives a foul away.
03:00In semi-regular fours.
03:04In the years in the leagues, most notably the 50s and 60s, where they were in the top flight.
03:11I've been since then, obviously, but a little bit intermittent,
03:15given the chopping and changing in the leagues for these sides.
03:20This was a championship fixture last season.
03:22Falk at 1-3, the other was a 3-3 thriller.
03:29There hasn't been a goalless draw between them since April 06.
03:3437 meetings since then, there's always been at least one goal.
03:53He said in the first half, both deserve their places in the semi.
03:57Falk are knocking out Premiership leaders' hearts along the way.
04:01From Furman taking care of Hibs at Aberdeen on their route.
04:05From Furman taking care of Hibs at Aberdeen on their route.
04:07From Chiloco and Mullin up the pitch, Matty Todd's cross, Henderson and then Lisa and From Furman have a corner.
04:16Yeah, much better.
04:17Good start to the second half for them.
04:20Chris Kane getting himself a really good player for Robbie Fraser.
04:23He spoke about it in the first half, just getting the timing wrong.
04:26He went in press, steps in brilliantly.
04:29Then he's got the vision to spot Kane.
04:31A bit ambitious from where he shot from, but they managed to keep it alive.
04:53Matty Todd then.
04:58First for Dunfermline.
05:02Kane.
05:07You can hear the thickness with which he met that, but it's going way closer to the corner flag than
05:13where he wanted it to be going.
05:14Yeah, he's just trying to flick that on.
05:16Probably with the back he's head, comes off the side, just gets it all wrong, but it's good anticipation to
05:23get in that area.
05:24Looking for the flick on.
05:35That's Barney Stewart, he's still well in the corner there, not back to Lai, because he was on his own,
05:42really.
05:45Miller and Yates, Grogio were trying to get up in support, taking it quickly.
05:57Lisa tried his best, but he's in the best ball in the world.
06:03Robbie Fraser's up in the back of his head.
06:08He's been at the quarterfinals five times in the last 17 years, Falkirk, four semis, two finals.
06:18I think he catches a boot there.
06:22Robbie Fraser, as Lisa's on his way down, I think he catches him in the head of his boot.
06:27Totally accidental, of course.
06:33It's brilliant to see these two clubs on the rise again, though, isn't it?
06:36I said that it was the tie that I wanted before the draw was made, and I know that people
06:42can look and say they haven't managed to sell out the stadium,
06:45but the noise they've generated and the support that they have, yeah, I think it is.
06:50You look at Falkirk, the impact they've had in the Premiership, and the Ferman are certainly a club on the
06:55rise,
06:56and you just look at the support that they get, you know, how passionate the fans are,
07:02and the atmosphere they're managing to generate in here, and it is great to see.
07:08Both had lengthy spells in the third tier, and Ferman had the financial problems back in 2013.
07:23It's always these two that I mentioned, not so much Falkirk now,
07:26because they're back in the top flight, but when people talk about restructuring the top flight
07:29to a 16-team league, Falkirk and Ferman were always
07:34two of the clubs mentioned as reasons as to why that was the way forward.
07:42Take by Dylan Tate.
07:44Here's Miller.
07:48I'm not sure if Stewart was the intended target there, but he certainly didn't have that in his mind.
07:53Yeah, it's just miscommunication, I think.
07:56He is the intended target, but Barney Stewart not alert to it.
08:09Fresor.
08:11Fresor.
08:12Looking for Morrison.
08:30it's been better from the par since the break
08:33back well though by Spencer
08:36Tate with the long ball
08:37here's Stuart
08:41Miller
08:47and they work our way through
08:49he's found Tate
08:52again you can see what Falkirk are trying to do there
08:55and he'll still be frustrated
08:56that a lot of these attacks are breaking down
08:58they just have to keep at it
09:00yeah they do and I think that's key
09:02the frustration does seem to be setting in
09:04you look at the one before
09:06with Calvin Miller who tries to play it into Barney Stewart
09:08and Tate's frustrated with that
09:09he's looking for that pass there for Finn Yates
09:11who's not in the same pace
09:13there's frustration there again
09:14and it is important that they keep probing
09:16they keep making the runs
09:17they keep making the passes
09:17and don't get frustrated
09:19that's exactly what the Falkirk are hoping for
09:47you mentioned they beat Hearts on penalties at Tynecastle and
09:51you mentioned they beat Hearts on penalties at Tynecastle and
09:52this tournament this season
09:53they also took care of Dundee United in the last round
09:55in between that there was the extra time win over
09:58local rivals Dennis Muir who are having a fine season under Gary Naismith again
10:08there's always going to be a difficult tie
10:10yeah they have to walk hard for it
10:36this could be the season of their dreams
10:37most Falkirk fans
10:40to win the Scottish Cup as well as a top six finish
10:43with European football as well
10:45oh my goodness
10:47Wenger's in trouble here
10:49Miller was on to it
10:55already challenged by Armade
10:57Neil Lennon will not want his players giving Falkirk any kind of encouragement
11:01it's not something they need really
11:03the fans are encouraged here
11:08yeah they are but
11:10they're still defending well the Fairman
11:13as much as a lot of slip up there
11:14recovery's good
11:15still getting away there is Falkirk getting blocked in from Fairman
11:19of course he doesn't want them to be encouraged
11:44Miller's latest corner
11:46he put it away
11:48by Nguena
12:15the Scottish Cup winners go into the third qualifying round
12:19for a place in the Europa League for next season
12:21it's around earlier
12:22in recent campaigns due to the dwindling coefficient
12:34it's a foul on Kane this time
12:40and a little bit for John Beaton to sort out here
12:48yellow for Conor Allen
12:50first for Falkirk in the match
12:58this is what the Fairman have to do
13:00and continue to do
13:01is get it in
13:01get a hold of it
13:04get your team up the pitch
13:05this game does brilliantly
13:07Conor Allen just caught
13:08wrong side when he spins him
13:14played his part didn't he in St Johnston's two cup wins
13:17I know that
13:20Sean Rooney got the headlines but
13:23came to this job
13:27those matches against Livingston and Hibbs
13:30that's lovely skill
13:32fabulous for Matty Todd
13:34and Liam McCann very quickly
13:36joins Conor Allen in John Beaton's book
13:38yeah that's great skill
13:40from Matty Todd
13:42and Liam McCann just
13:43a bit of desperation there
13:45to try and get back at him
13:48probably surprised that he managed to
13:50wriggle out of it
13:51Matty Todd
13:51you know he's got that ability
13:53you look at his work rate
13:54fantastic
13:54but you know he has this ability
13:56it's excellent
13:56great skill
14:01no player likes to be nutmegged
14:04no
14:05certainly not with that
14:08chance for the pars then
14:11flighted it in
14:11and Gueno wins the header
14:12and there's a Falkirk man
14:14on the penalty spot
14:15to hook it clear
14:16and Calvin Miller
14:21and Drew Todd
14:23and there's Gilmore
14:28prepared to pass into feet there
14:35Gilmore wins the header
14:36that's just Kane
14:37Morrison chases
14:38but Baines off to him
14:40just runs away from him
14:41that's a great laugh
14:42from Kane
14:44and much better
14:44from the firm
14:45because he managed to keep
14:46the attack alive
14:47and he's alert
14:48Morrison
14:48but the ball
14:49just always running away
14:55from him
14:56Finn Yates for Falkirk
14:58scored in the quarters
15:00against United
15:02scored last week as well
15:03as did this man
15:04Ben Brottio
15:05Calvin Miller
15:07didn't catch it
15:08as he would have liked
15:12I thought that looked
15:13very ominous
15:14for Dunfermline
15:14when that was laid back
15:15to Miller there
15:16yeah
15:16he doesn't catch it
15:18as he would like
15:18but it's still a good
15:19connection
15:19it's Abdullahi
15:20that managed to get down
15:21the line of it
15:22the flexion
15:23makes it comfortable
15:23for Oxbrook
15:25there's a real
15:26considerate
15:26Calvin Miller
15:32Henderson
15:32jumped too early
15:33there
15:34Kane
15:36and a dump
15:36to the head
15:40I'm surprised
15:41they let that one
15:42go
15:42John Beaton
15:45Morrison
15:46and Kane
15:47beats him to it
16:03Karel Wilson
16:04is going to be on
16:05for Falkirk
16:07shortly
16:16so just over
16:1825,000
16:19inside Hampden
16:19this afternoon
16:21and fabulous
16:23atmosphere
16:24despite the fact
16:25it's only
16:26half full
16:35yeah they certainly
16:36make noise
16:37at both sets
16:38of fans
16:39and if you look
16:40you can see
16:40obviously there's
16:41loads of spare seats
16:42but
16:43certainly making up
16:44for it
16:44with the noise
16:45I'm making
16:50it's going to be
16:51Finn Yates
16:51who's coming off
16:52Karel Wilson
16:54will replace him
16:55but we're seeing
16:56a lot more
16:56from Matty Todd
16:57since the turnaround
17:01won this corner
17:02he's going to
17:02take it himself
17:11drives it in
17:12and it's flicked
17:13away
17:13by Henderson
17:16here's Andrew Todd
17:17oh he's going
17:21Falkirk's way
17:27here's the change
17:30John McGlenn
17:31blinks first
17:34brings on
17:35Karel Wilson
17:36who like
17:36Phillip Lisa
17:37is on loan
17:37from Swansea
17:39a couple of goals
17:40in his 26 appearances
17:44and his finutes
17:45comes off
17:46and he's been
17:47a big player
17:47for McGlenn
17:48over the course
17:48of the last few years
17:49as he hits
17:50after he was
17:51released by Aberdeen
17:53yeah he has
17:54not had the impact
17:55he was hoping
17:56for today
17:57Wilson
17:57come on
17:58and playing
17:58that right-hand
17:59side
17:59Calvin Miller
18:00going play
18:01and supporting
18:01Barney Stewart
18:03just shows you
18:04his versatility
18:04he's played
18:05off the left
18:06he's going to
18:06play as the
18:08number 10
18:11he's going to
18:12have an impact
18:13in this game
18:15great shuffle
18:16by Andrew Todd
18:18quite there
18:19in his luck
18:20though
18:20Lisa clears
18:22Miller
18:26it's there
18:26ahead of
18:27Rodgiel
18:3410-0-8
18:41Miller
18:42over the top
18:44for Wilson
18:44who's just on
18:52Tate
18:53and it's
18:54Oxfam
18:56Stewart
18:57looking
18:58with intent
19:00straight away
19:01you see
19:01Wilson down
19:02the right-hand
19:03side
19:03and that'll be
19:04another move for
19:05Falkert
19:05to try and exploit
19:06putting that in
19:07behind from
19:08Mews' pace
19:12Wilson wins it
19:13off Fraser
19:16Tate
19:18Tate
19:19Calvin Miller
19:20really wide
19:22there
19:22and the touch
19:23didn't put him
19:24into a better
19:25position
19:29Gio for Spencer
19:34Miller
19:34Miller
19:39should have been so
19:40much better for
19:41Falkert
19:41love a little pass
19:42from Dylan Tate
19:43and he just
19:44doesn't take his
19:45touch where he
19:45wants it to go
19:46Calvin Miller
19:47he wants that in
19:47front of him
19:48it just goes
19:49slightly outside of him
19:50then he's trying to
19:51fire it across for
19:52Barnley-Stewart
19:53a better touch
19:54and he can actually
19:54get a shot at goal
19:56neither goalkeeper's
19:57been worked
19:59really
19:59have they?
20:01no they haven't
20:02I think everything
20:02if anything's been
20:04comfortable for them
20:04but
20:05too much
20:06in terms of
20:08shots at goal
20:09or chances
20:44well Neil Lennon will
20:45give this 11
20:46assuming the likes of
20:48Chiloko and Mullen
20:48and Andrew Todd are
20:49fit to continue
20:51as long as possible
20:52as he said to us
20:54before the match
20:54this is just probably
20:55his strongest 11
20:57with the exception
20:58of Holly Thomas
20:59who's unavailable
21:00to him
21:06Thomas was another
21:07who was outstanding
21:08against Aberdeen
21:09in the last round
21:20so
21:27he's going to make a
21:30change
21:30we're heading towards
21:31the final quarter
21:31of the 90 minutes
21:38extra time
21:39penalties
21:42pretty much on the menu
21:43right now
21:50replays in the semi-finals
21:52stopped back in 2007
21:53won the last one
21:55Jim McIntyre's
21:58Penenka penalty
21:59against Hibbs
22:01and the replay
22:04of that
22:04semi
22:09replays completely
22:10abolished now
22:18Kearney
22:18Kearney will be on
22:19at the next break
22:20in play
22:25here it's
22:26Callum Morrison
22:27who's going to be
22:28withdrawn
22:39he's going to make a
22:46change now
22:54it's warm reception
22:55from the Falkirk fans
22:57for Callum Morrison
22:59and the Falkirk fans
23:01trying to drown that out
23:02and she Kearney
23:03comes on
23:04an Irish Cup winner
23:06in 2024
23:07playing for Cliftonville
23:08against Linfield
23:12scored in the final
23:13last season as well
23:14but lost out to
23:15Dungannon Swift
23:18taste
23:19cup victory
23:20on Scottish soil
23:24run from Lurgan
23:28Callum Morrison
23:29extremely disappointed
23:30but now
23:31there's a time for him
23:32to just sit and stare
23:33over that chance
23:34that he's had
23:34so early in the game
23:44it's not
23:44I mean there's a Barney
23:46Stuart here there
23:46but it's not the best
23:47chance in the game
23:48it's the only chance
23:49so far
23:49as Wilson's touch
23:51lets him down
23:54perhaps Kearney
23:54will be able to
23:56better luck in front
23:57of goal
23:58as I said
23:58he's from Lurgan
23:59as his manager is
24:02times that run
24:02brilliantly
24:03Wilson
24:03just a poor touch
24:07and you spoke
24:08about Callum
24:09Morrison being
24:10the only chance
24:10it is
24:11and it looked
24:12like it was
24:12going to set up
24:13a brilliant
24:14afternoon
24:15of exciting
24:16goal move
24:17chances
24:18and it's failed
24:19to deliver so far
24:20it's not worked
24:21out that way
24:21James
24:21no it hasn't
24:22I keep saying
24:24it was a tie
24:25I wanted
24:25the game
24:26I was looking
24:26forward to
24:27I was more
24:27thinking about
24:27the fans
24:28and what
24:29it means to
24:30them
24:30the day out
24:31for them
24:31against the rivals
24:36talking about
24:37those 4-3
24:38semi-finals
24:38all those years
24:39ago in the
24:39first half
24:42seen some
24:42really cracking
24:44afternoons in
24:45the semis
24:45remember
24:47Aberdeen Celtic
24:48a couple of
24:49years ago
24:493-3 went to
24:50penalties
24:54show heart
24:55amongst the
24:57penalty scorers
25:00in that
25:01shootout
25:02you wouldn't
25:03really like a
25:03shootout
25:04right now
25:04with just
25:05over 20
25:05to 90
25:06to go
25:07no I mean
25:08there's nothing
25:08to suggest
25:09there's going
25:09to be a
25:10winner
25:10but
25:12you never
25:12know
25:13this is
25:13crucial
25:14moments
25:14of the
25:17game
25:18can you
25:19mention
25:19Kian
25:20coming on
25:20from
25:20Morrison
25:22Todd's
25:22come over
25:22this
25:23left-hand
25:23side
25:24and he's
25:25done a
25:25great shift
25:26he's a
25:26wing-back
25:27but
25:27certainly
25:28will be
25:28happy to be
25:29playing
25:29more advanced
25:30he really is
25:31where he can't
25:32have a
25:32real impact
25:33on the
25:33game
25:57top flight
25:59Falkirk
26:00trying to
26:00find a way
26:01through
26:04Tate
26:05the thing is
26:06both these
26:06teams are good
26:07for a goal
26:08so the fact
26:09it's a stalemate
26:10after 70 minutes
26:11is quite surprising
26:12yeah it is
26:13I think that
26:14it's been that
26:15type of game
26:16where they are
26:17just trying to
26:17find that
26:18breakthrough
26:19but also
26:19both teams
26:21the way they've
26:22set up
26:24they're defending
26:25well
26:25but they're making
26:26sure that there
26:27isn't too many
26:27opportunities
26:31Falkirk's goal
26:32scoring exploits
26:33this season
26:34scored three
26:35last week
26:35and were still
26:35beaten
26:38Falkirk
26:38have dished out
26:39some decisive
26:40defeats of their
26:40own recently
26:41to the likes
26:41of Aberdeen
26:42in the last round
26:43Ross County
26:43Wraith
26:44Ayr
26:44and Morton
26:45all felt
26:46the full force
26:47of the
26:47Pars
26:55Dylan Tate
26:56swings it in
26:59it's going to
27:00break out
27:00to the
27:02side
27:09goes down
27:18I don't know
27:19Brogio has to
27:20make the lunge
27:21you know
27:22he does
27:22he does get
27:23to the ball
27:24and then
27:25but I think
27:26he'd match
27:26them for pace
27:27I don't know
27:27if he needs
27:27to slide
27:28be done
27:28he didn't
27:30look at
27:35there
27:37I can't
27:40look at
27:43Heller, a crucial flick. Here's Wilson, Stewart ahead of him, can he find him? Instead it comes out to Broggio.
27:53Not far away. Not far away.
28:00No, it wasn't. See what he thinks of it. It comes from Nguena, going and trying to win a ball,
28:08he's never going to win.
28:09And Wilson just can't get out of his feet, but it spots Broggio just trying to pass that into the
28:15far corner.
28:19He's an FA Youth Cup winner last season with Aston Villa. Ben Broggio arrived for the second half of this
28:29season.
28:32He's made an impact, the 19-year-old.
28:39With each passing second, the pressure is intensified.
28:48There's a cup semi-final. There's a Scottish cup semi-final.
28:56Any goal now might decide it. Looks like a one-goal game.
29:06That's the first real chance that we've seen for a long time.
29:14It's opening for Falkirk, really, we would have to say.
29:26Well, we'll see the powers again on Tuesday night on the BBC Scotland channel.
29:317.30, 7.45 kickoff as they take on the league leader St Johnston will be hoping that Partick Thistle
29:38slip up later.
29:39And then it's Saints again in the Kingdom as they go to Kirkcaldy to face Wraith Rovers.
29:51As you can see, Dunferman are going to bring Josh Cooper on.
30:08It's going to be a double change for Neil Lennon.
30:12And it will be Tasha and Oakley Booth, who will also come on.
30:22Alphonse Amade coming off.
30:27And it's the last we've seen of Scottish Cup winner Chris Kane as well.
30:38Power of work from Kane as usual, but nothing for him to feed off of in front of goal.
30:43No, he hasn't.
30:45And that's, you know, as you expect from Chris Kane.
30:48Work rate and commitment there.
30:50Making himself a nuisance.
30:51Just waiting for that opportunity.
30:53And I'm not surprised Neil Lennon just trying to freshen it up.
30:57A bit of energy in his team.
31:15Josh Cooper coming on his five goals this season.
31:20Play attacking midfield, defensive midfield.
31:23He's playing the left as well.
31:31Kane digs it out.
31:34Final 15 minutes of the 90.
31:43It's a loose one.
31:45From Miller, of all people.
31:52It's cost the steam a corner, ultimately.
32:18Scott Bain, he kept goal in that 2019 final win for Celtic against Hearts.
32:24Three-time Scottish Cup winners on the bench.
32:28Another two finals.
32:30The whole thing, his team don't concede here.
32:32Business end of the game.
32:33It's away by Stuart.
32:42Cooper.
32:42The booth was under real pressure there.
32:47No chance for the pars.
32:51Lashed high and over by Cooper.
32:55Obviously needs some time to warm up.
32:57Yeah, slightly ambitious, I have to say.
32:59I don't think the angle's there.
33:01I don't think the way to pass is there for him.
33:05He's probably been sent on the instruction to go and be a hero.
33:11But he'll be a little bit excited there.
33:16Some way to break the deadlock.
33:20And it is deadlock here on Glasgow's south side.
33:24The first of this season's Scottish Cup semi-finals.
33:34Robbie Fraser, he was 15 years on the books at Rangers.
33:39Saw him alone at Livingston in the second half of last season.
33:55He played some first team matches for Rangers as well.
33:59The draw be Fraser, including against Spurs in the Europa League.
34:03The year past December.
34:04The year past December.
34:10But if you're not getting a look in then it's important to go out and find a home somewhere.
34:15Calvin Miller, for example, he's on the ball just now.
34:18He really has found a home at Falker.
34:20Having drifted around the clubs and the leagues.
34:30Andrew Todd for Fraser.
34:33And that's a bad one by Philippe Lisa.
34:37Cards out again.
34:40It's good play by Andrew Todd.
34:42He would have known the challenge was coming as well.
34:46He's won a free kick about level with the penalty spot.
34:49Yeah, it's excellent.
34:51Todd and Fraser.
34:52And Lisa knows he's not winning the ball here.
34:56He knows he's not winning it.
34:57He knows he's taking the man out.
35:05Todd sees it coming as well.
35:11How costly is that going to be?
35:17You score now, you've got every right to believe you're going to be playing in next month's final.
35:21Absolutely.
35:25Time for a hero.
35:30There's always time for a hero in this tournament.
35:38You score now.
35:39You score now.
35:44Finals on Saturday, the 23rd of May.
35:48All four semi-finalists are previous winners of this competition.
35:52Celtic, clearly, well out in front of 42.
35:56Samirin have won three.
35:57These two have won it two apiece.
36:03And not ten minutes.
36:05And not ten minutes.
36:15Matty Todd.
36:21He's got a big moment for Dunfermline Athletic.
36:25Bain gets both fists onto it.
36:28Not in the right kind of area.
36:35That's gone Falkirk's way and there was an argument, he could have gone the other way.
36:40Yeah, but I think that's the right decision.
36:42Cooper just spots that Spencer's going to go for the ball.
36:45Back's in.
36:45Who knows exactly what he's doing.
36:50There's Grotcio.
36:54Delighted to be so careful there.
36:58And it's Falkirk up the pitch.
37:07Finishing line is roaming into view.
37:14Premiership Falkirk being held by their great rivals.
37:18The other side of the Kincardin Bridge.
37:21Championship Dunfermline.
37:25We hear that Barney Stewart is going to be coming off shortly to be replaced by Ben Parkinson.
37:32Scored the decisive penalty in the win at Tynecastle.
37:38Round four.
37:44John McGlynn clearly feels that Barney Stewart's race is run.
37:49There's no way he'd be taking him off otherwise.
37:51Six goals in his last six.
37:53Yeah, I mean, another one that's not really had the impact.
37:56He's not had the service.
37:58He just needs a chance though, doesn't he?
37:59Yeah, that's it.
38:00That's it, but he's been marshaled very well.
38:02I think that back three, really strong for the fairman.
38:05After Lion-Renya, to LeCore-Millen.
38:14And on comes Parkinson, he arrived the winter window after 13 years at Newcastle.
38:23It's the one appearance for the Magpies.
38:35Barney Stewart gutted not to be able to be the hero himself today.
38:42Miller for Tate, he scoffs it.
38:50Conor Allen under pressure, he's dealt with it extremely well.
38:53He's caught by Angie Todd too.
38:57He's not surprised to see that brought back.
39:01And the Dunfernan man goes into the book.
39:10It's very late.
39:11Yeah, it is.
39:12I mean, he does make a bottom round, Todd.
39:16That's a push-up.
39:17I mean, I don't know if he actually catches on his boot.
39:22Yeah, he does actually.
39:24Apologies to Conor Allen.
39:27Stips, studs on the Achilles there.
39:34But on Barney Stewart, as much as he's had no service and no chances,
39:39when you play that role as a striker,
39:41all you're waiting for is that one chance, especially as the time goes on.
39:46You know that you've got a chance to win your team the tie,
39:50take your team into the final.
39:51So there will be a little bit of frustration there for him.
40:03I just wonder if you settle for an extra half hour at this point.
40:09I'd love to come up with the magic moment, of course.
40:14Gives you a bit longer to play with.
40:25Yeah, I mean, it's a strange situation.
40:27It's nil-nil.
40:28It's been pretty even, cagey, if you like.
40:32No real clear-cut opportunities, apart from Karl Morrison,
40:35the second, third minute.
40:37Then it's, there's no need to go and, you know,
40:40over-commit to go and get the winner.
40:42It's still time to go and win it in extra time.
40:44Oh, there is, there's a tighter win it in 90 here.
40:47And yeah, a bit better than that, Brogio.
40:52There are little moments in football matches,
40:54just no art making the show deal.
40:56That's one of them.
40:57Yeah.
40:58And there's ones where, even when you do it yourself,
41:01you just can't explain what's happened.
41:03So it's very difficult for me to tell you what's happened here.
41:07Yeah.
41:08Yeah.
41:09There you go.
41:10Double touch.
41:12He's doing his best Stephen Thompson impression there.
41:16You wait a while to get your revenge, but you've got it.
41:20To be honest, I never heard what he says.
41:22I don't tend to listen to Tom when he's talking, so...
41:24I understand that.
41:26I don't know.
41:42Folker could definitely not be at their best today.
41:45Disappoint John McGlynn.
41:48and they could be in trouble here
41:50if Matty Todd gets this right
41:52Cooper's there
41:53wouldn't settle for him
41:59by Charlie Gilmore
42:01he just can't get out of his feet Cooper
42:03it's outstanding from Matty Todd
42:04down the left hand side
42:05little bit of skill to go up the line
42:08drive into space
42:09I thought he was going to fire it across
42:10for Andrew Todd
42:12he spots Cooper
42:13he just can't get out of his feet
42:14may be surprised it's come to him
42:17great play from Matty Todd once again
42:24it's edgy
42:25it is edgy here
42:36who's the great challenger
42:38it's the latest one
42:44still Mattylai in the receiving end of it
42:54and then Parkinson
43:14it's as irked as I've seen John McGlynn in the touchline this season
43:17I know he wasn't happy last week
43:19certain aspects of the performance
43:22they were superb in the first half against Rangers
43:25I know the Totti Chikwani goal just on half time
43:28kind of changed the discourse a bit
43:29but he was very disappointed with the second half performance
43:33where they shipped five goals
43:34and there were
43:35it's not often you hear managers singling people out
43:37he didn't quite name certain individuals
43:39but you could tell who he was having a pop at
43:42with some of the goals that they conceded
43:45particularly that early equaliser in the second half
43:47but he's looked extremely uncomfortable down there today
43:50it's McGlynn
43:52it's understandable
43:53because
43:54the team have set such a high standard
43:57the expectation is that
43:59they're able to go and play free-flowing
44:01and create opportunities
44:03which they haven't been able to do
44:05this afternoon
44:06so there will be a frustration
44:07they come into the game as heavy favourites
44:09because of the season they're having
44:11because of the difference in league
44:14and they haven't been able to deliver
44:17Aston-Oxburgh has been pretty comfortable
44:19in fact, extremely comfortable
44:21all afternoon
44:23and what we associate Falkirk with
44:25is attacking play, speed
44:27putting teams under pressure
44:29creating chance after chance
44:31and they haven't been able to do it
44:32I think you have to
44:34as much as there's frustration there
44:36for John McGlynn and his Falkirk players
44:37you have to credit
44:38Neil Lennon as the Furman players
44:40because they've been a tough team
44:42to come up against
44:43a tough team to break down
44:45and they deserve the credit
44:47in making it as tough as they have for Falkirk
44:49there's been one shot on target
44:51in this entire match
44:5289 minutes old it is
44:53one effort on target
44:55it was Falkirk
44:56and I'm assuming it's that team
44:58Barney Stewart header
44:59yeah, I mean
45:00that was never
45:02ever troubling
45:10I think what you can see is
45:11there's been moments where
45:14you're expecting
45:15a little bit more quality
45:16you look at
45:17Carl Morrison's opportunity
45:18Calvin Miller when he was free
45:20on the left hand side
45:21and his touch takes him out of the way
45:24Wilson down this side
45:25where he's taking a poor touch
45:27Cooper's effort there
45:28you know
45:29Cooper not able to get out of his feet
45:30so there's been moments where
45:32they have got into decent areas
45:33both sides
45:34and just that quality
45:35that decision
45:37has been lacking
45:41right, four minutes
45:42have been added on
45:43four minutes
45:45to make a hero for yourself
45:51and if not
45:53there'll be another half hour
45:54and possibly penalties
45:57that
45:59sort of game
45:59it's felt like that
46:00but
46:01it is still time
46:06still on he goes
46:08he's so dumb
46:08that you look at Mullen
46:10unfortunately
46:11he's got his head in his hands now
46:12yeah, I mean
46:13he's fortunate
46:14because he gets the ricochet
46:15but he just doesn't give up
46:17and he picks the wrong option
46:19Andrew Todd
46:20hearing down his right hand side
46:21he just needs to slip him in
46:22he goes for the difficult one
46:24to Matty Todd
46:35bit of cramp settling in
46:37and
46:38that's not a surprise
46:39given he was an injury doubt
46:41given that run
46:42as he bulldozed his way through
46:43yeah
46:45absolutely
46:45I think
46:46especially when you're in a doubt
46:47it means you're not
46:48been training as much
46:51and
46:52his eyes lit up there
46:53he can see the headlines
47:03plenty to ponder
47:05for those two
47:13this could be a completely
47:14different game of football
47:15had Callum Morrison
47:16open the scoring
47:17in the second minute
47:18of the match
47:22it's been pretty
47:23attritional
47:25since then
47:40Celtic and St Mirren
47:41will do battle here
47:42tomorrow
47:46there's a
47:47half two kick-off
47:56repeat of
47:58this season's
47:59league cup final
48:00the two o'clock kick-off
48:01rather than
48:02half two
48:03there's the mayor
48:07Jim Leishman
48:16so yeah
48:17two o'clock kick-off
48:18tomorrow
48:19coverage
48:20on sports
48:21on the BBC Radio
48:22Scotland
48:22from
48:23half one
48:24highlights tomorrow night
48:26in the telly
48:27Calvin Miller
48:28was that
48:28nicked off him
48:31the last second
48:33there
48:33by
48:34Andrew Todd
48:37goes down
48:41she got a big move
48:42in him this summer
48:43do you think
48:43Andrew Todd
48:44yeah well
48:45he's certainly
48:46shown
48:46his
48:47his ability
48:50wouldn't be surprised
48:51if his team's
48:52looking at him
48:52because
48:52he's come in
48:53he's played
48:54he's led the line
48:55he's played off
48:56strikers
48:56he's played in
48:57the wider areas
48:59certainly
48:59shown
49:00he's a fantastic
49:01young player
49:02and I think
49:03that you look
49:04at the young
49:04players in that
49:05the Furman side
49:06they're absolutely
49:07interesting
49:08and most of them
49:09Andrew Todd
49:10had his breakout
49:11season and he's
49:12been absolutely
49:12outstanding
49:17part of the
49:18SFA's performance
49:19school in Edinburgh
49:24success story
49:27not more to come
49:28sure
49:30a little bit
49:31of time
49:31added on top
49:32of the four
49:32that were
49:33initially added
49:33by John
49:34Beaton
49:36the injury
49:36to Leon
49:37McCann
49:41the crap
49:42suffered by
49:43Chilocoa
49:43Mullin
49:46there's the
49:47whistles
49:47as we go
49:48into a
49:48fifth minute
49:55another minute's
49:57been bolted
49:58onto this
49:59and it's still
50:01time
50:03to prevent
50:04extra time
50:23McCann
50:23is going to get it in behind for Miller
50:32cans up and under
50:34caught in the wind a little bit
50:36that
50:40so that's it
50:42this semi-final
50:44is going to go to extra time
50:47difficult game
50:48for both sets of players
50:50that Callum
50:50Morrison chance
50:51just two minutes in
50:52the best opportunity
50:54though Ben
50:55Brodgeo
50:55whistled one past the
50:56post
50:58later on in that
50:59second half
51:02and there will be
51:04another
51:0530 minutes here
51:06and potentially
51:08penalties as well
51:10Falkirk
51:11having to battle
51:12as they've done
51:13on occasions
51:14in the Scottish Cup
51:15this season
51:16but of all
51:17the Scottish Cup
51:18semi-finals
51:19down the 141 years
51:21of this tournament's
51:23history
51:23this one
51:24is definitely
51:25the most recent
