00:00It's split, five games to go on what could be a pivotal day,
00:06and what a way to start it all in the City of Discovery,
00:11as glorious sunshine welcomes the fourth and final Dundee derby of the season,
00:16just six weeks on from the last.
00:19This much-treasured fixture divides this great city,
00:24as today those in tangerine merge with those in dark blue.
00:28Jim Goodwin changes two from his side, victory over Livingston,
00:33Christian Koreztesh came off the bench to equalise in that game
00:38and starts in place of Sam Cleo Harding.
00:41Further forward Neil Perugia replaces Amar Fata,
00:44who, along with Lucas Stevenson, is injured and won't play again this season.
00:48Dave Richards gets his chance again with Asimena Brewer on the treatment table,
00:52Ross Graham will hope for a better experience this time
00:55after a stoppage-type own goal at Den's last month.
01:00There are five changes in all for Steven Presley,
01:02Ryan Ashley returns from suspension,
01:05while Amari Samuels replaces Trey Wright.
01:08Scott Wright's equaliser at Kilmarnock gave Dundee a point
01:10and is rewarded with a start, so too is Joe Wesley,
01:14despite seeing his penalty saved by Kelly Roos in the dying seconds.
01:18Simon Murray is left on the bench though,
01:21leaving Ashley Hay to lead the line,
01:24having netted in his last two derbies,
01:26including the winner here in January.
01:35Jim Goodwin has become the longest-serving Dundee United manager
01:43for quite some time since Jim McClain.
01:48He's over three years in charge.
01:51Matthew McDermott will be the man in the middle for this fixture,
01:56as Steven Presley returns to the grounds when he played.
02:03He's summoned for a million pounds back in 1995.
02:07The Republic of United are now representing the dark blue of the city.
02:20As ever, tensions raised and passion at its peak.
02:26Nervous excitement descends on the city.
02:32Here we go for another Dundee derby.
02:38First game in the post-split fixtures for these two,
02:44and that is a rather interesting start for Manuel Aguiay.
02:53Michael, it's a fixture that we've grown to love over the years,
02:59and Dundee United probably come in with a degree of safety.
03:02They can't go down. Dundee, meanwhile, they've got a bigger fight,
03:06but you would think that their general season ambitions kind of go out the window
03:11when it comes to a picture like this.
03:14Yes, but as you've just mentioned there, there's clearly an element of one eye on what's happening below them in
03:22the table.
03:23You know, today they've got an opportunity, a very good opportunity to perhaps make themselves safe, I think, psychologically.
03:33If they get a victory here as well, the boost that'll do to them would be more than enough, I
03:37would suspect.
03:38Cameron Congrave, who Tim Goodwin did look into signing last summer.
03:45It's had a really impressive season on loan from Swansea.
03:53I was just talking about Dundee there, but obviously for United,
03:57you look at the game since the start of March.
04:02Well, there's an opportunity here for Sapsford.
04:05Sapsford, Sapsford, spin it straight at John McCracken.
04:10Dundee playing themselves into trouble there 90 seconds in,
04:14but now going up the other end and Ashley Hay peeling out wide.
04:20That's end to end at the moment, isn't it?
04:23Well, I mean, look, that's one of the interesting things obviously with Danda being right in there in the centre.
04:28He's in a far deeper position than he would probably normally find himself.
04:32And he almost sets up Zach Sapsford perfectly there.
04:35But when he drags that ball, he just gets caught under his feet a little bit.
04:39He's off balance and he's not able to get as clean a strike as he'd hoped.
04:45Sapsford's open the scoring in the first derby of the season at Denz.
04:58Long throw in from Astley, back in from suspension, Aguiay away and then the volley from Luke Graham as well
05:07wide.
05:10Very attacking set up from Dundee with Danda in that deeper midfield role.
05:15There's plenty of attacking players in front of him, but it's the centre half here.
05:19It's Luke Graham that gets on the end of it and gets a good enough connection with it.
05:25But it was never ever troubling the goal of David Richards there.
05:29I was just saying a bit for Dundee United and I'm sure this obviously plays into Steven Presley's mind as
05:37well as the Dundee manager is.
05:40The last derby game not being that long ago and everything that happened in it, it's going to play a
05:45little bit of a part I would imagine.
05:47Dundee United will be very keen to make sure they write what they would feel is a few of the
05:51wrongs that happened in the injury time there.
05:55The form of late is not bad. You look at the last five games, there's three wins in there.
05:59And that draw at then, so it could easily have been four wins out of five.
06:04And the performance at Ibrox in the game that they did lose, Jim Goodwin would be fairly happy with it.
06:09So they've started to hit a wee bit of form Dundee United and they'll be looking to clearly finish the
06:14season strong and cement that top spot in the bottom six.
06:20Six unbeaten at home as well since Hark's were victorious here at the end of January.
06:26But home advantage hasn't been for much in the derbies this season.
06:31United winning at Dens at Saksford to release that one but well over the top.
06:38United won at Dens in August, then Dundee won here on the 3rd of January with Ashley Hay getting the
06:44winner and then Dundee United looked to be cruising to a victory just last month.
06:49Dundee United at Dens Park 2-0 up going into stoppage time but with Ashley Hay and eventually the final
06:56touch was Ross Graham with that header going into his own net, deep, deep into stoppage time.
07:07Some unwanted objects making their way onto the pitch.
07:12He does get his kick away.
07:16It's Ferugia, good feet and looks for Saksford.
07:24Bouncing ball back to the goalkeeper was going to be difficult to control.
07:29Yeah, granted it's gone out of the park but I tell you what, he's done very well there, John McCracken,
07:33because that ball was bobbling around.
07:36He got good contact and plenty of power on it to clear the danger.
07:41He's got a picture up.
07:46Dundee United is heading away, you'll notice the face guard that Parkes-Loney is wearing, he broke his nose in
07:56the last meeting between these teams, and it was Lucas Stevenson that went up to challenge with him.
08:02Resulted in the... What a nasty injury.
08:09Aguiay, all the way through to McCracken.
08:14What a pass that is.
08:16Scott Wright...
08:19...to take on Byron Strain.
08:21This is the safety of his goalkeeper, Dave Richards.
08:29Chivet.
08:33Strain outside him.
08:35Looks early for Waters, up goes Graham.
08:41He couldn't control, Scott Wright now.
08:47Danda has the ball on down the line.
08:50Swing and a miss from Krestes.
08:52What a superstar now.
09:10A wonderfully unique rivalry, this one.
09:13Two teams separated by the wind of the road.
09:29He's on for Ferugia, but Billy Cometeo gets there first,
09:34and then Mari Samuels with Aguiay down into the path of Vizco Cheve.
09:45Aguiay for Krestes.
09:49Loose one from the Hungarian.
09:59Quite a few blown signings this season for Jim Goodwin's side,
10:02but he's already deep into his preparation for next season,
10:07and that's where the aid of knowing what division you're going to be playing in
10:12comes in very handy,
10:14that's something that Presley doesn't have that luxury,
10:17but already three signings, quite confirmed, two confirmed,
10:22but Josh Rollins expected to be very soon to be joining Jesse Randall and Lachlan Rose,
10:28it's the Australian contingent or the Antipodean contingent going up significantly at Tarradice.
10:40What do they feel at home with the beaches at St Andrews?
10:45Graham goes after that one, unable to divert the ball back towards goal.
10:53I'm just going to say as well, I mean it's quite an incredible stat that you were reading out
10:57just before the game that Jim Goodwin being the longest serving United manager since Jim McLean,
11:02and that helps as well because there is a sense of stability,
11:07a sense of knowing what is going to be in regards to the management team,
11:12and that helps to be able to prepare, but also for the players that are looking to come,
11:17there isn't that level of uncertainty, they know that the manager's going to be there,
11:24and perhaps assist them in being able to get that business done a little bit earlier.
11:30He's just recently overtaken Peter Houston,
11:33and today goes a day beyond Craig Levine and his time in charge,
11:38he's the 21st manager since Jim McLean, eight of those have got less than a year.
11:46The stability at Tarradice has been a real issue,
11:50obviously it's a different era of football though,
11:54there's a lot more hiring and firing to be done.
11:57Waters doesn't quite stick for him, that's an excellent touch from Hamilton.
12:03Now he's hounded by Waters as he foul on the Dundee captain.
12:09Well he does really well initially, Hamilton and a few other teammates that dispossessed Waters,
12:15but with him being so heavily left-footed,
12:19he just didn't have anybody that was a comfortable pass for him,
12:23you can tell he was always looking to try and turn to get back on to that left side.
12:32Well Graham, in case you're not able to find Congreve.
12:51Steve McLean's first season as Dundee manager will pay the way back into the dugout,
12:57and the top of Brentford.
13:00actually he makes the free kick just on the halfway line.
13:07perform.gl
13:08he's as Gretchen, that
13:09one year has a great shot a resume. in
13:10the game.log希望
13:18in the players constantly correr
13:27in the game. he reaches
13:28the game. To Dalian
13:28Assley, towards Graeme
13:31-Hu won the header well.
13:39Hamilton with the fight over Ferry
13:44Congrave fed by Danda
13:47and delivers but that will go over the top of Evra
13:50and a few bodies hitting the deck in the middle
13:52but nothing more to be done with that
13:57too heavy from Congrave
14:02there's nothing at first sight there in the box either to get overly interested about
14:08I just think sometimes without trying to overcomplicate it
14:12Danda took maybe an extra touch than he needed to just fire it out to Congrave
14:16leave him 1v1, this time he cuts back onto his left foot
14:21but we've seen over the course of the season he is more than capable and willing at times to
14:25to dive onto his right foot as well
14:27so I think you just keep feeding him the ball he's a real difference maker
14:35Congrave
14:36needs to be careful in there
14:39he does find Wright
14:44Samuels
14:46driving into the space, Scott Wright
14:50can't we lose out to Agui
14:54finds the space for Ferry
14:59that's a lot of waters will be seen now, well not quite, by Graeme
15:05battling qualities of Max Waters
15:08now here's Wesley
15:12Danda decides to launch one up to Ashley Hay
15:17Congrave now
15:18and Hay
15:18oh drift
15:21beyond him
15:22it's not an awful lot of grass on this near side of the pitch
15:27it's rather
15:28out to Saul
15:56there's other
15:58protector in the middle of the park for United, the Ghanaian,
16:02that's a lovely ball slipped through the pullback,
16:06now Ferry and Sapsford will get the shot away,
16:09and it comes off Ferry and goes in!
16:15He didn't know a thing about it,
16:19but will Ferry, will gratefully accept the opening goal in the Dundee Derby?
16:29Scrappy, but he won't care, and they won't care,
16:33and it's Dundee United the lead.
16:36He looks confused, all he needs to worry about is the fact that
16:41the ball's going in the back of the net,
16:43I'm sure they'll obviously be checking whether he was offside then,
16:46but it's a nice move from Dundee United, working to some dangerous areas,
16:51and he's never going to be offside actually,
16:52because there's loads of Dundee players that are actually deeper than up,
16:57very scrappy.
16:59As I said, he doesn't need to worry about it,
17:02it's in the back of the net,
17:03not the most powerful of strikes,
17:05off the knee of Will Ferry,
17:08inside to the post and in the back of the net.
17:11What a horrible goal to lose for Dundee.
17:14United, they get their noses in front, at home.
17:19Tim Gooden will be feeling good about himself.
17:23They'll be wondering where he's found this goal-scoring form from Will Ferry,
17:29that's now three in his last four,
17:31it doesn't really matter if you don't know anything about it,
17:33as long as they're going into the back of the net.
17:35Absolutely, I think I'm right in saying that the three in the last four,
17:40they're the first goals that he'd scored for United,
17:42they hadn't scored prior to that.
17:44So, yeah, he's hit a real rich vein of form from nowhere, really.
17:49He's scored in the win over Celtic then,
17:52Livingstone a fortnight to go,
17:54and it's Dundee who have to respond.
18:01This is Chivet,
18:03Samuels cuts that off before it gets to Strain down the right-hand side.
18:15There he comes across to get involved in this throwing.
18:21Simon Murray,
18:22a player who we so associate with this fixture,
18:27a former United player born in the city.
18:31Interesting one that's not in the starting line-up.
18:36Here's Aguiay,
18:39and now it comes to Ferry again,
18:41Mike Fancy the second.
18:47Chivet, Ferry popping up on the right-hand side
18:50after delivering that last throwing.
18:54United's tails are well and truly up.
18:57You get a sense that there could be more for them right now.
19:01Dundee just trying to hold on.
19:05Matthew McDermott, he couldn't get in the way,
19:07he was stuck in the middle there when Dundee were desperately trying to shift it
19:12and get a strike away.
19:17Come in from Ferry,
19:20Cometio goes up, that's a foul.
19:23And well, all of Tanadice is paying tribute to one man Lennon Thompson,
19:31Dundee supporter who passed away this week.
19:35The applause around the stadium organised by his cousin Chris.
19:41and it's great to see both sides honouring the young man Lennon Thompson.
19:57after his son he freaked out by his cousin Chris.
19:58They would raise his hand if they were more than pure...
20:06and his struggling band,
20:07they did not exercise...
20:08Apparently, these are still in his main Joker...
20:11It's also in position to change기를 and suspension supporting the shutdowns.
20:21Richard's
20:22opportunity
20:24obviously Maynard Brewer injured again
20:26he was frustrated when he
20:29was unable to
20:30keep his place around
20:32the new year time
20:34it's a lovely ball down the line there from
20:36Chivet, good run from Faruja
20:39and this will be a good angle
20:40to show you, I think there's a couple
20:43of Dundee players there that could have been clearing
20:44that Wesley I think initially and then
20:47does it look great
20:51not great defending
20:52at all
20:54just to rub salt into the wound
20:57it ends up coming off
20:58of Will Ferry's knee there
21:10amazing
21:10United haven't won
21:12back to back in the league all season
21:15but
21:17they are in a decent run of form
21:22it's all come too late to
21:23make a charge for the top six
21:25he goes to finish fourth last season
21:31Richards having to take the touch
21:33and he always looked unsteady there
21:38the ball's so lively
21:39it's
21:41wobbling around
21:42you understand why the goalkeeper's just being extra cautious
21:46you're right
21:47he didn't look comfortable
21:48but understandably so
21:55right back to
21:57Samuels for Wesley
22:00by Graeme
22:01and then Aguiai
22:03look great to win that back for Dundee
22:13winless in four games
22:18run started with the comeback
22:21against United at Dens
22:23as Wesley goes down
22:24as Wesley goes down
22:24but play on
22:24Hamilton has it
22:28Samuels
22:29deflect the way of
22:30right
22:31it's a good pick out for Astley
22:35anywhere will do for Aguiai
22:37and onto the roof of the sands for now
22:40that was some good play from Dundee
22:42just
22:43you know thinking about that there
22:45when you're talking about
22:47the winless run that they're on
22:50it's
22:50against that stage of the season
22:52where as much as you feel like
22:53you know performances have been
22:55not too bad
22:56and over the course of the season
22:57you've seen improvement
22:59it's still very tight at the bottom of the table
23:01and
23:03wins are
23:03so crucial
23:07they need to start
23:08picking up more points
23:09otherwise they're going to get dragged in
23:11put on by Graeme again
23:13and then
23:13Yeovu able to clear
23:15only as far
23:15as Dandan
23:17here's Graeme
23:19well what a bit of defending
23:21on the line from Yuri Yeovu
23:24because look Graeme
23:25looked
23:26to have controlled that one
23:28into an equaliser
23:30I can't believe that Yeovu's kept it out
23:33I mean
23:34look Graeme on his weaker right foot
23:36there has done brilliantly
23:40I'm suggesting he meant it
23:42rather than just try to play it into an area
23:45and he did really really well there
23:46looked destined for the corner
23:50Dandas delivery
23:51Cometio back peddling
24:00and now they may be able to coo
24:02combine again
24:03Satcher wins it from Samuels
24:05and then helps it on to Ferry
24:06and United on the break here
24:08Waters in the middle
24:09and Ferry can find him
24:11and Samuels gets back
24:12the crucial intervention
24:15from the left back
24:17this Darby is breathless
24:19it often is
24:22Samuels should have originally done better
24:24and been stronger
24:25but I tell you
24:25he recovers brilliantly
24:26doesn't he
24:27because if he doesn't get that touch
24:30it looks as if Waters
24:31was going to get on to it
24:32but there you go
24:33over the goalkeeper
24:34perfectly
24:36but the big centre-half
24:38Yuri Yovu
24:39there to clear the lines
24:40he's saved his team
24:42there
24:49and it will come from Ferry
24:51plenty on that
24:53Danda will help it
24:54to the edge of the box
24:55Cheve back in
24:57Waters
24:57and Satchford goes down
25:01a few behind the goal
25:03were rather convinced
25:04but not many others
25:05inside the stadium
25:11Cheve has taken a nasty one there
25:16I'm not sure whether
25:17the referee's given a free kick
25:20for the challenge just before
25:22with Wesley there
25:23or whether he's just given
25:25the throwing
25:30looking at this challenge
25:31this was where they went down
25:33no
25:35absolutely nothing in that
25:43well taken in by Hay
26:04skipped in by Congreve
26:06ready to win it back though
26:08Sapsford
26:09looks for Ferugia
26:12and Waters
26:14all the way out
26:15to the right-hand side
26:18Ferugia
26:18to Curlano
26:21well somehow
26:22they've found a way
26:23through McCracken
26:24and he breathes
26:25a huge sigh of relief
26:28he gets the luck
26:29that deserted him
26:30with the goal
26:31but maybe that evens it up
26:33I mean the thing is Rory
26:35Dundee
26:37almost the architects
26:38of their own downfall
26:39again
26:42gets away with it
26:43I think
26:43is the fair assessment
26:45there
26:45you're just looking
26:46at that attack
26:47as well
26:47and you see the replay
26:48again
26:50Dundee United are so
26:51outnumbered
26:52Dundee have got loads
26:53of players back
26:54and I'm thinking to myself
26:55Ferugia's probably going to have to do this
26:57on his own
26:57and he almost managed
26:59to find that corner
27:00aided and abetted
27:01slightly by
27:03John McCracken
27:04and the Dundee goal
27:07but again
27:08you look at this
27:09incident just down
27:10in front of us here
27:11they should have taken care
27:13of possession
27:13a lot better
27:15turnover
27:15and United
27:16break on them
27:18again looking to do so
27:19there
27:20forcing the error
27:27see here's the state
27:29I think the midfield
27:31not doing well enough
27:32to take care of possession
27:34Samuel's giving it away
27:34and then you look at
27:35the number of Dundee players
27:36credit to them
27:37getting back in
27:39vastly outnumbering
27:40Dundee United players
27:42almost
27:43turned into a 2-0 deficit
27:47it's all well and good
27:48as well getting bodies back
27:49but individually
27:50they've got to actually
27:51defend the situation
27:52sometimes
27:53when there's so many
27:54players
27:56they subconsciously think
27:57oh their team mate
27:58will take care of it
27:59you've got to get back in
28:00and actually do the job
28:01as well
28:02just standing off
28:04the Dundee United players
28:04a little bit too easily
28:11Strains header
28:13Samuels and
28:14Perugia does well
28:15to help that back
28:16to Ryan Strains
28:21Samuels with the block
28:24and will run the free kick
28:26and it was clicked in the process
28:27there
28:54one by Haye and Congreve
28:56just wouldn't sit for him
28:58as Ferry got back
28:59Danda
29:00out to right
29:01now Samuels
29:03encouragement for Dundee here
29:09Ferry
29:09knocks it high
29:11in a way
29:14well the goal scorer does really well again
29:17for United
29:18this time defensively

29:35nobody can get a hold
29:35of it right now
29:36I was just going to say
29:37the park is so lively
29:38when there's so many bodies
29:40in tight areas like that
29:43it makes it very difficult
29:44to actually get
29:46the ball under control
29:47and you can see that
29:48at the moment
29:48the swings one way
29:49than the other
29:51lots of loose passes
29:52and turnovers
29:53and
29:56it means it's a very competitive game
30:00just lacking a little bit of quality
30:02particularly in the middle
30:03of that part
30:33that's really good from Dundee
30:46that's really good from Dundee
30:48initially from Dundee
30:49lovely ball
30:51right into Congreve's feet
30:53looked as if United
30:55were able to defend it
30:56but
30:57own lone winger
30:58does brilliantly
31:00just to wriggle away
31:01and get a strike
31:01at goal
31:04good play from Dundee there
31:10now Congreve will
31:13take this corner
31:14it's Kumetio free
31:16at the back post
31:17Jovo's header
31:18over the top
31:19and Dundee will
31:20get another opportunity
31:21to try again
31:29no-nonsense defendant
31:31not looking to take any risks
31:33there
31:33just clear the lines
31:35put it behind for another corner
31:36and reset
31:43it
31:44Congreve to try again
31:47to try again
31:48Astley in the middle
31:50Sapsford's
31:51clear to halfway
31:54Samuels the last man back
31:57Dundee
31:59time to try and execute
32:01a telling delivery
32:07right
32:09straight at Waters
32:18well Dundee United have not
32:20got out at all
32:21they've just camped in there
32:24Mark Waters is feeling
32:25the effects out there
32:29it's poor from Dundee
32:30for me
32:30you know
32:31Dundee United
32:32as I said there
32:33they never really put
32:34a great deal of pressure
32:35on the ball
32:36they weren't squeezing
32:37the game
32:38and eventually
32:39Dundee they make
32:40a couple of passes
32:42there but with no real
32:42purpose
32:43and then they end up
32:44putting the ball
32:45in towards the box
32:46with a great
32:47lack of quality
32:48and it runs through
32:49the goalkeeper
32:50very easily
32:52Dunder touches it
32:53on to Hay
32:56Agui
32:57breaks up
32:57another attack
32:59Chivet
33:00and Ferry
33:02straight to
33:03Westley
33:04didn't like the options
33:05that he had
33:09Jogu
33:11waters
33:11claims of offside
33:12and that has
33:14been awarded
33:15the flag goes up
33:16on the far side
33:16Dundee
33:17not hanging about
33:19well whenever there's been
33:20a little bit of quality
33:21from Dundee
33:22a couple of good
33:24passes there
33:24United have defended
33:26invariably pretty well
33:27to snuff it out
33:30Dander slips the ball
33:31on to Scott
33:32right
33:32looks like he's capable
33:33of getting a break
33:34but Jogu
33:37steps in
33:38wins the ball
33:38back
33:39and all of a sudden
33:39Dundee
33:39on the attack
33:42again
33:42it's been revealed
33:46will
33:47Ferry chasing
33:47that one down
33:49Ashley
33:50has to give up
33:52the throw
33:52in
33:59this is an opportunity
34:01for Ross Graham and Suryovu, Christian Kresic all heading into the box,
34:09Will Ferri launches one, flat delivery, with power for Ruggia.
34:21Goes down by Hamilton, Chervé and Strain couldn't make a mistake from there.
34:29Sapsford.
34:33Conceded by Samuels, so Ferri will head over to the right-hand side again.
34:39A similar set-up.
35:02He's getting plenty of practice at these.
35:08Graham the initial target, it's over him, though.
35:12Njogu, Aghyay.
35:14It's going to be tricky to control that.
35:19We've reached the semi-final stage in the European Rugby in the Champions Cup.
35:25Glasgow Warriors conquerors Toulon head to Dublin to face Leinster.
35:29That's on Saturday from 2 o'clock.
35:31Premier Sports 1, in the Challenge Cup Ulster against Extra Chiefs.
35:35That is Saturday from 5.15.
35:38Premier Sports 1, and then a mouth-watering contest between Bordeaux and Bath.
35:42That's on Sunday in the Champions Cup.
35:45That's from 2 o'clock.
35:46Premier Sports 1, while in the Challenge Cup,
35:49Montpellier against Dragons.
35:51That is Sunday from 12.
35:53Premier Sports 2 for that one.
35:59Scott Wright was clipped by Brian Strain,
36:03and that will lead to the first yellow card of the contest.
36:16The initial reaction was that Scott Wright just gets there first,
36:19he just clips his heels there.
36:21Yeah, he does.
36:23You see it from that angle in particular.
36:26He's obviously shaking his head,
36:28but nowadays I don't think you can have too many complaints.
36:31Scott Wright's shown his pace to get in front of Ryan Strain there.
36:36Yes, he tries to swing at the ball,
36:39but he's caught the Dundee wide man there.
36:42He's caught up.
36:47Congreve to see if he can come up with the delivery.
36:49That's a good one to find Graham.
36:51And he's frustrated,
36:53he has got the corner,
36:55but perhaps it could have been more.
36:58I think it should have been more, Rory.
37:00When you see him getting in here,
37:02he gets the run on the inside of a guy,
37:04and he misses it to a great extent
37:06because it eventually comes off the Dundee United player
37:09and behind for the corner.
37:11Doesn't get great contact on that.
37:13That was a real good opening there for Luke Graham.
37:21Danda now, swinging delivery,
37:23Graham's there again,
37:25unbelievable save,
37:26but then knocked in.
37:30Dundee had the equaliser,
37:33Joe Wesley
37:36from point blank range.
37:42He's come off the worse.
37:44He may not even be aware of what he's managed to do
37:48and equalise the Dundee level.
37:52And it's come from a set play.
37:58Well, looks like he's getting up, Rory,
38:00and thankfully.
38:06There may well not be too many
38:09major concerns for Wesley here,
38:10but very brave.
38:13Very brave.
38:14With the deliveries, that's the big difference.
38:16I mean, even prior to this,
38:18great save you've got to save from David Richards to begin with.
38:22Point blank range.
38:23Gets that arm up and the second one,
38:26but in the way as well from Cometio.
38:29Back off of Cometio.
38:31And it just lands right in front of Wesley,
38:33who throws himself at him.
38:36Hopefully he's able to play on and he's okay.
38:38But it's the deliveries
38:39that have been constant from Congreve one side.
38:44Danda on the other.
38:46Put into some troubling positions for Dundee United
38:50and he's been able to come up trumps with them now.
38:58Well, this is going to be looked at by VAR.
39:02An on-field review for a foul in the leader to the goal.
39:13Well, this is Stephen McClain and Graham Leslie are the two VAR officials.
39:24They're looking at the pool on Ross Graham's jersey at the very back post.
39:41Ryan Ashley holding Ross Graham.
39:44What I would say is if you look at Cometio, number five,
39:46he's getting his jersey pulled off by Max Waters as well.
39:53I mean, I think it's silly from Ashley.
39:56He doesn't need to do it.
39:57He's given the officials the opportunity.
40:00But I just think that
40:03it's the sort of thing you see in the box all the time.
40:06As I mentioned there,
40:07Cometio's getting his jersey pulled off his back here from Max Waters as well.
40:11And he eventually, you know, gets involved in it.
40:14Do you say that that's a penalty kick?
40:16I think that's an interesting one because Cometio
40:19probably had a more chance of getting involved in that than Ross Graham does.
40:24So I understand why the officials are looking at it,
40:26but my personal feeling is, again,
40:30it's a bit microscopic, personally.
40:32I don't think Ross Graham would have been able to affect it.
40:35But Ryan Ashley, it was silly.
40:37He shouldn't have done it.
40:41So the goal doesn't stand.
40:43United maintain their leads.
40:47The inquest goes on for the president of his staff.
40:52If you're trying to look at one instant and ignore the other,
40:56that's where I just think there's an inconsistency.
40:58Because if you're punishing the foul on Ross Graham by Ryan Ashley,
41:05how come the foul from Max Waters on Cometio is then effectively not looked at?
41:26And then it becomes very difficult because they don't cancel each other out.
41:29You've got to, I guess, then make a decision on which one has a greater impact on the ball coming
41:35in.
41:35Here's Ferugia.
41:37Here's Dundee who are left frustrated.
41:45If I go back to it, though, from Dundee's perspective and Ryan Ashley,
41:50you can surely see that I think it's Luke Graham that's got the running on.
41:56Ross Graham's not going to be able to impact that there.
41:58He doesn't need to pull the jersey.
42:01As much as it's just fleetingly,
42:03he's given the officials an opportunity there to get involved.
42:08He's given the officials an opportunity there to get involved.
42:15Sapsford.
42:18Ferry.
42:31Ferry.
42:32Five minutes and a half.
42:35This will be non-stop action.
42:38Agui closing down Danda.
42:41Ferry frames his midfielder.
42:44Agui.
42:47Surging run.
42:49He's still going.
42:52Sapsford managed to get that back to Chivet.
42:54He goes through such a power of work, Agui, in the midfield, doesn't he?
42:58Great driving run down the line there as well,
43:01and almost getting into the box.
43:03His midfield teammate Chivet slips and lands on the ball in the end,
43:07but really strong from the midfielder here.
43:15He's been on the top of his game all afternoon so far, really.
43:23January's arrival from Ashdod.
43:2621-year-old.
43:29Powerhouse in the middle of the park.
43:38Watters couldn't take it in.
43:45Farrugia.
43:47Wins it from Danda.
43:50Now for Sapsford.
43:53United would love a second.
43:55Sapsford unleashes that one.
43:59He was looking for the cross on the shot.
44:01Either way, somewhere in between.
44:03Just lacking a little bit of finesse in the end here.
44:06It just feels like he slaps at it a little bit.
44:23No part is for any bad language picked up.
44:40Yovu, and Chávez.
44:44Samuel, but Aguiy was having that.
44:48Chávez over the top, Ferugia has a look, seems Sapsford arriving.
44:53Still work to do, though, for Ferugia.
44:57Now support comes from Strain.
45:09Ferugia, on to Vicco Chávez.
45:14Oh, he's rising over the top.
45:19It's a little bit scrappy for Dundee defensively,
45:23not clearing their lines with any real conviction,
45:25and it just adds to the sense of there's something there for Dundee United,
45:30attacking-wise.
45:33It will be a relieved man that that goal was disallowed,
45:36he's side still 1-0 up.
45:39Coming close to half-time,
45:42maybe desperate to make sure they keep that advantage.
45:50It will settle for Scott Wright.
45:54Wesley.
46:00Dundee thought had equalised.
46:02Super Bowl to you about the outcome of it all.
46:38Dundee, they're unbeaten in their last four visits to Tanadice,
46:42they've won their last two, including a 4-2 victory just over a year ago.
46:492021, the last Dundee United win at home against Dundee.
46:56What a game that 4-2 was as well, I mean,
46:59I think I'm correct in saying there was a couple of goals disallowed with VAR in the first half.
47:05These Dundee derbies are end-to-end, they're full of action,
47:08but that one in particular was edge-of-the-seat stuff for the whole 90 minutes.
47:16That was the one that ended with Simon Murray running the length of the field
47:20in celebration against his old club.
47:23Wesley on the chase here, but Graeme will get there first.
47:29Plenty iconic scenes over the years in this fixture, always seems to deliver.
47:38Graeme, the challenge comes in from Ferry,
47:41and he's frustrated as the decision goes against him,
47:44Jim Goodwin in disbelief on the touchline as well.
47:49That's fairly animated there, I thought he did get the ball.
47:53You see here, the ball deviates and clearly does, quite clearly.
48:00The referee's in a good position there, I think he should have seen that.
48:03And Ross Graeme inquiring, and there's going to be a brother talking to.
48:09Witzko Cheve being called over and somebody else will get a stern word from Anthony McDermott as well.
48:17That's Joe Wesley.
48:32Played one of the additional minutes of stoppage time.
48:37Followed with the hold up here.
48:39Stood around for one of the additional minutes.
48:47Very straight for Jan Dandert.
48:52The one he's got off his sleeve here.
48:54Doesn't look like there's too much cover there for Dandert, perhaps, of a strike.
49:02Straight at Sapsford.
49:04There wasn't much getting his match to hit.
49:06The one guy in the wall, quite incredible.
49:14This will be one chance for Dundee before half-time.
49:18Dandert was just behind him, Hamilton will strike it.
49:22Richards holds on and that should get United to half-time with their lead intact.
49:28It's a good strong save from Richards.
49:31Lands at Hamilton's boot and he packs a punch, but the goalkeeper makes no mistake.
49:38Half-time whistle goes.
49:40Will Ferry didn't have much of a clue about the opening goal.
49:46The deflection popped up, hit him.
49:48The deflection popped up, hit him.
