00:00April 28th marks one year since the UNC government took office and today we hit the streets to
00:06find out how you, the citizens, feel about their performance.
00:10A lot of people think that this government hasn't done anything for us, okay? But when
00:14we look back nine years, what they have done for us, I think my government, this government,
00:23has done quite a few things and I'm in agreement with them because they're trying to
00:28deal out all the corruption in high places and other places. At the end of the day, I think
00:35the performances, I will give them, you know, you have to leave room for improvement, right? So,
00:42I will give them an eight out of ten. Very disappointed. I expected much more to be done,
00:47especially for the poorer people, people who want fixed incomes like pensioners and those who are
00:54disabled. I would expect that if there's any change in the economy, that those are the people
01:00who will benefit, not those who already have. I read them zero and it's a mess, a total mess.
01:07We need to pray, we need to be a better people to come together to do something about this.
01:14Who's feeling safe? Nobody, you know, any society feeling safe right now. People going missing,
01:21you know, it's just kidnapping still up. We're under state emergency and, you know, crime still up,
01:29things still happening. You see a little child die, you know, over the weekend, we make BBC news and
01:38news, you know. So, I will, I carry it out. If I had to raise them out of ten, it
01:45had to be one.
01:46I would like to see everybody get a fair share, people get work, people get raise of salary,
01:53everything that they promise to us. I hope that they will, along the line, along the way,
02:00that they will give it to us. And moving on, I think, I think job security to people to get,
02:04take a, take a sustainable jobs. After one year in office, public opinion remains divided.
02:11And as the government enters its second year, many are calling not just for promises,
02:16but for tangible results that can be felt across TNT. Charlotte Kisto, TV6 News.
