00:51with like a minute and a half to go down one in the first quarter and when the quarter ended

01:02beginning of the third quarter there was four out of the five guys were off the bench and it wasn't
01:07working he had to get a timeout real quick he's got to push the right buttons and he's got to

01:11out how to get jaylen duran more involved because as much as we can talk about other issues and i
01:17still think when one thing that really stands out to me uh we'll get to a little bit later on
01:24that i think has cost them and cost them dearly in this game and it was so out of character

01:29um yeah jb's got a lot of work to do a lot of work to do well it was i
01:36mean you brought up that uh
01:37isaiah stewart only played what four minutes in the second half you add that that ron holland didn't
01:43play at all those are two of your top you know three defenders on the team um and they're not

01:53much at all in the second half and with with holland not not at all in the entire game i
01:58imagine that he's he's going to get some play tonight ron holland will i don't know why you
02:04sit him other than if you're just trying to send a message like hey you're turning the ball or you're
02:08trying to do too much offensively or whatever we need you or or he's sick i don't know and we

02:13didn't know that but it seems rather odd that ron holland did not play a minute in the game on
02:19saturday
02:20afternoon i think it shows you that at least from my perspective jb's reaching man i don't know what
02:25he if he knows what his game plan is at this point you know like i think he's searching for

02:32in real time and this is the playoffs and you can't afford it i know left games are hard to
02:37win so you
02:37can't afford to even give them away and i think he's he's trying to find his rotation in the middle
02:41of a series i think you got to play ron holland because i think what this team is is all
02:46about defense
02:47and that's where their offense will feed off of the defense they got to lean on their defense
02:50i know we're talking about during not be able to score and i think he needs to be able to

02:53of course but i think he'll be able to score easier when the team is causing turnovers
02:58fouling being aggressive with the other team you know that's how this team wins if you watch the
03:02whole regular season with the pistons there are plenty of games where the offense wasn't there
03:06because that's this is just not a super offensive efficient team right but they always won the majority
03:11of the games because they'd leaned on their defense that's what's got to happen they got to take
03:15control the series back the magic are over they're they're they're empowering their will against the
03:20pistons and that we didn't see that during the regular season they got to get back to that and
03:23that's defense with thompson stewart even dur and all those guys and then hopefully the offense comes
03:28with it because right now durin's forcing it you can tell he's not a one-on-one player you know

03:33go he's got it like i said get lobs and things like that and put backs and it's just not

03:38and there are times where like early in the game he cut to the basket wide open tobias missed him
03:42and i feel like if this is a point of emphasis that we got to get our second score involved

03:54do and a guy flashes to the basket on a cut wide open tobias feeds him the basketball right then

05:08to basically to straight away center field you know if i thought earlier that this is a guy he
05:14might hit like 15 20 home runs he's got power to hit beyond that well beyond it's fun and speaking
05:21of power well ever since we started talking about spencer torkelson all he's done is hit home runs he's
05:26literally hit home runs every game since then five straight games tork has tied a tiger's record
05:33here with home runs in five straight games he has raised his ops in that time from 566 to it's

05:42robust 836 he's also got nine hits and three walks in his last six games spencer torkelson getting it
05:50done and it's great to see and that home run he hit last night or yesterday afternoon was just uh

06:01for this performance and what gets emphasized all day yesterday and leading up to this game
06:07and what he can pull out of him probably will spell whether or not this team has a chance in

07:03is not
07:03something we haven't totally seen during the season when the pistons did match up against the spurs and
07:08even against cleveland in other words against teams that were longer and more physical i did see them
07:13get clogged up on the paint inside which is their bread and butter and when that gets taken away
07:17everything starts falling apart and we've seen this before orlando also did a late in the season
07:22to them which again they're sitting a bunch of players but even so just the games looked the
07:27same they didn't have the same dominant look and and it's not only jaylen dur and it's it's also
07:32case he's not matching up well against wagner it's it's it's just they're getting out physical then
07:37it doesn't if you look at this team at this match up in a bubble i don't think you would
07:42know who the
07:42eight seed and who the one seed is it's just they're not they're getting out they're just to
07:46me like i don't even know if they're gonna make it out of the series they don't look like the
07:49better
07:49team and they don't look like they have their bread and butter like they just they don't have
07:54their thing that they did all season and to me the answer the only answer i could think of is

07:58more physical put stored in the game together with jaylen dur and try to try to box out that pain
