00:00Champ and chump. Gator, I will start my champ of the weekend. It's Cade Cunningham, and all you've got to
00:05do is take a look at this stat from Brendan Shabath that he tweeted out earlier today, or from the
00:10update desk.
00:11Cade Cunningham facing elimination in his career, averaging 31.2 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, 7.2 assists
00:18per game, 2 steals and a block, shooting 46% from the field, 30% from 3, and 90%
00:24from the free throw line.
00:26Well, 30% is nothing great, but the other numbers are pretty impressive.
00:2840%?
00:30You said 30% from 3.
00:31Okay, it's 40% from 3 if I said 30.
00:32That's much better.
00:33Yeah, it's 40% from 3, not 30. If I said 30, my bad.
00:37Cade, fantastic.
00:38Yep.
00:39My champ is Tobias Harris. What a stud in the playoffs he's been. He's averaged over almost 22 points a
00:45game, poured in five straight games at 20-point basketball after not posting back-to-back 20-point games all
00:50season long.
00:51Had 30 last night. They were spectacular, and he took over the game for a bit in helping the Pistons
00:56in the next round. Way to go, Tobias Harris.
00:59My chub at a weekend, Xfinity and Scripps.
01:04This is unbelievable. I've sat there dealing with the nuisance, and we're going to have to talk to people about
01:10workarounds, how you watch this game if you have Xfinity.
01:13And they'll both point the finger at the other one. I feel like most of the vitriol gets sent to
01:18Xfinity, but it's just, you know, that's one of those deals that when I use the term unacceptable, people use
01:26the term unacceptable in sports all the time.
01:28That, to me, says there should be consequences. And when you hear consequences, if people are changing their provider over
01:34this, I can't blame them.
01:36Yeah, I'm actually going to change my chump because it was reinforced. It's over the weekend.
01:41So what I'm going to give it to is Jalen Brown from the Celtics complaining after losing Game 7 to
01:48the Philadelphia 76ers, complaining that the refs just weren't helping them out, and that specifically Joel Embiid was flipping and
01:56flopping all over the place, and that they were afraid not to call fouls.
02:00And so he basically blamed the officials and poo-pooed what Embiid really did in that series to win it
02:06for Philadelphia.
02:062-4-8-5-3-9-97-97. Get your champion chump votes in here on Carson Anderson on a
02:11Monday.
02:12A great Monday as the Pistons advance and we get more playoff basketball in Detroit.
02:17This is awesome.
02:21Just to have more NBA playoff basketball to lean into here after that first-round traumatic come-from-behind victory
02:31over Orlando.
02:32Brian and Fallon Bale, my bad goes to Tobias Harris.
02:35I called you old and slow and said you never could be counted on as a second scorer.
02:43My bad is to Bickerstaff.
02:44I wanted to see more of Stewart and Holland, and he did neither of those, and they took the series.
02:50It's from an unnamed texter.
02:53My champ is Tobias.
02:54My champ is Vrabel.
02:56It's from an unnamed texter.
02:58Champ 100% Tobias.
02:59Chump in perpetuity.
03:01Steve Eisenman until they make the playoffs.
03:03I don't know if he had a bad weekend.
03:07Lesko and his daughter vacationing in Boston.
03:10My champ is Cade by far.
03:11Chump the sports bar that wouldn't turn up the sound for the Pistons game with like 10 people at the
03:15bar.
03:15He chose to play 90s rock, and he's butthurt that the Celtics and Bruins got eliminated Friday and Saturday.
03:21I love it.
03:22I love it.
03:23Yeah.
03:24Whatever sports bar it was, butthurt.
03:28I saw some things from Boston I want to get to today at 10.50.
03:31Because I was gone this weekend, and yesterday's flight home during the Piston game was interesting.
03:37We'll get to more of your phone calls and feedback coming up here on 97.1.
