00:00You mentioned the Dolphins.
00:01All right.
00:01They're like $7 billion right now with cap issues.
00:06I mean, they completely had to start all over again.
00:09I mean, they tanked for Tua.
00:11It cost them a GM.
00:13It's cost them millions of dollars in cap room here and all this space.
00:18I mean, they're starting all over again, Joy.
00:21Are we ever going to see the Dolphins get back to where they once were?
00:24It's one of the gold standards in the NFL.
00:28I don't know, I mean, I don't know, Dan.
00:32Like, they exhaust me.
00:34They really do.
00:35The thing about the Dolphins, and this is the conclusion that I've come to with the Dolphins
00:39over the past couple of years, because, you know, I've spent so much time trying to understand
00:44what the strategy is for the Dolphins.
00:47I, you know, my opinion was that, you know, it's not a hard line when it comes to quarterbacks,
00:57but if you have massive injuries in college, multiple injuries in college,
01:06I'm hesitant to make that move because I just, the NFL is a different sport.
01:15And what I mean by that, people always freak out.
01:18Everyone that plays in the NFL is a professional football player.
01:22Everyone that plays in college is not a professional football player.
01:24There's a big, big difference.
01:26These are grown men with beards and mortgages and families.
01:31Like, they're not playing.
01:32They're faster than you.
01:34They're stronger than you.
01:35And I just think it's really hard to translate that kind of consistent damage to your body
01:45when it comes to going to the NFL.
01:46So that was my take on Tua.
01:48I thought he was very talented.
01:50I think he's a good guy, you know, and I don't always think that matters.
01:55But from the quarterback position, I do think that you should, you know,
01:59find someone who's a leader and find someone who can, like, you know,
02:02match the city and the structure and all those things.
02:05I think in the end, they try to drag it too far with Tua.
02:09And my conclusion with the Dolphins at this point is,
02:13if they are ever going to get to a place where they are competitive in this NFL,
02:18obviously they need a quarterback.
02:20But in my opinion, they should build, like, a defensive team.
02:26They should look like a Chicago Bears team.
02:30Like, they should look like a team that plays in the snow.
02:34Because what inevitably happens every single year is they get to a point where they're in the playoffs
02:40and they go somewhere, it drops below 40 degrees, and nobody can play.
02:44Like, I don't care about a finesse offense.
02:46If you can't play when it's cold out, you play a fall-winter sport.
02:49And it's always like, oh, they're so fast.
02:51They're so sweet.
02:53They've got all these trick plays.
02:54Like, I don't, what does that matter when you're going to play in the cold?
02:58You play the Jets.
02:59You play the Patriots.
03:01Like, no one cares about that.
03:03It is irrelevant.
03:04You play in Buffalo.
03:05And you get cooked every single year.
03:08So, build in the trenches.
03:10So, I like it they're taking trench players.
03:12Build in the trenches.
03:13Build a sick offensive line.
03:16Build a, as Jason would say, a violent defense.
03:20And run the ball.
03:21And have a good side end.
03:22Because everything else, like, I get it.
03:25It's Miami.
03:26You have these big plays.
03:27You've got these fast players.
03:28It doesn't translate in the winter.
