00:00We're getting ready for some Thursday night football here to kick off week eight in one
00:05of the wildest games, certainly from a trend standpoint, that you are going to see where
00:12every time you look at the numbers here and you look at the opportunities for the teams,
00:19I mean, worst rushing team in the NFL is taking on the worst rushing defense, Craig,
00:26in a short week and nobody can take advantage of it.
00:28But it's just mind-numbing.
00:31Apparently, there's another trend that's been very publicized about teams on a short week
00:36coming in and playing, coming out of a game against Detroit, which apparently is not a
00:42great thing also.
00:43Yeah, I don't know.
00:45And we got two quarterbacks that I think we can both agree sling it, but they're playing
00:52behind two offensive lines that are missing starters up and down it.
00:56So we got reserves going on there and still no Micah Parsons.
01:00And you mentioned what I think is a big one.
01:03Golden, not 100%.
01:05Not even sure if he's going here tonight would be a huge loss for, I think, for Green Bay that
01:12it might not be accounted for here.
01:14Because less than 100%, that's a problem.
01:18Those two guys have been fantastic this year together.
01:22But if you remove one of them, and it sounds to me like Watson's getting double teamed,
01:27you're not beating them deep on any explosive plays.
01:31Yeah, well, the Packers haven't had a tandem of receivers in the last decade.
01:34I mean, we're going back to maybe before Aaron Rodgers, maybe to, you know, Brooks and Freeman
01:39with Favre.
01:40You know, it's been, I mean, Devontae Adams was there, and certainly they've had good
01:44receivers in the past.
01:45But you're absolutely right.
01:46Those two guys have been great.
01:48And, you know, what's been happening is teams have been doubling Watson, and then Golden
01:53has been going off.
01:54He's been the guy the last couple of weeks that's, you know, really extending the field.
01:57So, yeah, they really don't have a great third wide receiver.
02:01They do have a good tight end.
02:02And you see Tucker Crafts odds there, plus 170.
02:04So that's an interesting number, I think, also tonight to keep an eye on.
02:07But, you know, generally speaking, the Packers offense has not been all that explosive all
02:11year.
02:11They've been okay.
02:12But this hasn't been, you know, the Lions or the Bills or Chicago or anything like that.
02:18They're, you know, they're scoring their two, three touchdowns a game.
02:21Love has been more conservative with the ball.
02:23But they've been a very predictable offense that's been fortunate.
02:26Because, as you said, they haven't been able to run the ball at all, Joe.
02:28And so, naturally, Love is just dinking and dunking.
02:31And, you know, Lloyd, they've been lucky that Lloyd scored a bunch of touchdowns just from
02:35the one-yard line.
02:36But he's been ineffective as a runner, too.
02:38So, yeah, I'm curious to see, you know, what they have.
02:43This is, if you're going to play an early week spot on the road, this is not the worst
02:47place to do it in Green Bay with the nice atmosphere that they always have there for night
02:51games.
02:51I think this is not like a rowdy crowd or anything like that on a Thursday night football.
02:56It's a great night atmosphere for a game two at Lambeau Field.
03:00So, I expect a competitive game.
03:03You know, I expect 24-20, 26-23.
03:06Like, I think it's going to be that kind of game tonight.
03:08I think we're in for a pretty good game.
03:11And I want to still believe that Caroline is a pretty good sleeper in the NFC, potentially
03:17to get far, maybe even to go to the Super Bowl, because the Rams haven't looked all that
03:22great.
03:22Seattle is getting back to who they were.
03:24The NFC East, I don't have anybody representing there.
03:27San Francisco, you never know.
03:29They could get banged up.
03:30I've already made my case for the Bears.
03:32And now a bigger case, I think, by the way, we should probably mention was made for the
03:35Bears today.
03:35Wow.
03:36I think that the trade they made today may be in the biggest of the deadline, by the way.
03:41We'll get into that in a minute.
03:42But yeah, I like Carolina.
03:44I do.
03:44I like them.
03:45But then they got killed last week.
03:46And I'm like, wait a second.
03:47What the hell?
03:48Bucky Irving, 150 yards.
03:50Kenneth Gainwell, 100 yards.
03:52Tucker, 50 yards.
03:53Like, 400 yards on the ground?
03:55Baker Mayfield, did he throw 100 yards last week?
03:57I don't think so.
03:59No, 68.
04:00And that's all he got.
04:02But again, when you're getting the ball at the 15-yard line every time, you don't have
04:06to travel very far to put the ball in the end zone here.
04:10I am going to be fascinated, again, to see what is the approach now of LaFleur, because
04:18wasn't bringing Josh Jacobs back, who averaged, by the way, 3.3 yards a carry last week against
04:25Detroit.
04:27Are you going to feed him the rock?
04:30Are we going to say, you know what?
04:32Because I also lean the under in the game, if that's the case.
04:35I do, too.
04:36Because the one thing, right?
04:38Carolina's defense is not, they're not going to let you go over the top.
04:43They're better in the secondary than they are against the run.
04:46But can we trust Green Bay to run the ball?
04:49Like, I trust Jordan Love more as a pass catcher than I do a runner, unless I'm missing something
04:55here.
04:56I mean, 3.3 yards tells me there's still a little bit of rust and game conditioning that
05:01has to happen here.
05:03Catching passes out of the backfield is one, but is he really going to gash Carolina on
05:08the ground here tonight?
05:09I don't think so.
05:09Yeah.
05:10No, I don't think so either.
05:12I mean, I'm just taking a look here real quick.
05:15And, I mean, you tell me.
05:16I mean, you tell me how the, if somebody likes an over tonight, I propose to you this.
05:23Packers game one, 22 points.
05:26Packers game two, 20 points.
05:28Packers game three, 17 points.
05:31Packers game four, 31 points.
05:34Then 23, then 17.
05:36They only went over once.
