00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest broadcast from the Met Office.
00:04And starting with the bigger picture, high pressure still dominates our weather.
00:08We'll see subtle changes over the next 24 hours.
00:11The high just slips a little further south and eastwards, allows some low cloud for a time in the east.
00:16But at the same time, it could bring a few showers in from the west, particularly across northern parts of
00:21Scotland.
00:22But for most of us, it will continue to be dry.
00:24It's a fine evening out there for most, though low cloud across eastern parts of Scotland,
00:29and northeast England will sink its way southwards and westwards overnight.
00:33At the same time, some thicker cloud may produce the odd shower across parts of Northern Ireland,
00:38and generally clouding over from the west as well.
00:41A few sprinkles across northwest Scotland.
00:44So generally a little more cloud around tonight, some fog in places too.
00:48So temperatures in towns and cities down to around 5 or 6 Celsius in the countryside.
00:53Again, where we see the skies clearest for longest, we could see a touch of frost for one or two
00:58of us.
00:58So not really the blue skies to start Sunday morning like we saw this morning,
01:04but there will be hazy spells of sunshine.
01:06Some low cloud in the east will burn back to the North Sea coast.
01:09And then generally through the day, it's largely dry.
01:11Plenty of hazy spells of sunshine.
01:14A band of cloud will push its way eastwards across parts of England and Wales,
01:18and it may just be thick enough for the odd light shower.
01:20Also, a few showers bubbling up into the afternoon across Northern Ireland and northern parts of Scotland,
01:27seeing some light showers pass through on the breeze as well.
01:31But the vast majority will be dry.
01:33For the London Marathon, temperatures around 9 or 10 degrees to start the morning,
01:37but sunny skies here through the day.
01:40By early afternoon, temperatures lifting to around 20 Celsius.
01:43So it will be rather warm for all the runners.
01:46Elsewhere, temperatures in the best of the sunshine reaching the high teens to the low 20s.
01:51Still a little chilly across North East Scotland with some showers here around 10 to 11 Celsius.
01:57Pollen levels also high generally across the whole of the UK,
02:02and that's tree pollen largely at the moment.
02:05And then looking into Sunday evening time, again, the risk of a few showers,
02:10but most places staying dry, I think most frequent showers across northern parts of Scotland.
02:15Perhaps thicker clouds just down the east coast for a time,
02:18giving one or two showers there into East Anglia as we head overnight.
02:22But generally clear skies, light winds, we'll see some mist and fog patches forming.
02:26And again, one or two prone spots in the countryside may just see a touch of frost.
02:32So minimum temperatures, towns and cities, mid-single figures in the countryside.
02:36Again, minus one, minus two degrees possible.
02:38So Monday morning, a few showers possible from the word go across parts of Northern Ireland,
02:43Northern and Western Scotland, elsewhere.
02:45Plenty of sunny spells once any mist and fog patches move out.
02:50And then through the day will generally stay dry.
02:53A few showers across Northern and Eastern Scotland turning heavy by the afternoon.
02:57Perhaps the cloud bubbling up across eastern parts of England as well, giving one or two showers.
03:03But the vast majority, plenty of sunny skies and it will remain dry.
03:07And once more, temperatures above average in the range of 15 to 19 Celsius for most,
03:13around 21 or 22 in sheltered, sunnier spots in the far south of England and Wales.
03:20Just cooler always towards the far north and northeast of Scotland,
03:24where those showers will be most frequent and a bit of a chillier breeze here at times too.
03:29The outlook as we move through the week is that high pressure looks set to remain close to the UK,
03:35keeping it largely dry and settle plenty of sunny spells by day and temperatures as well remaining above average for
03:43the time of year.
