Hidden Death Trap on Road: Biker Falls into Water-Filled Pothole in Baghpat, CCTV Sparks Outrage

Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh): A shocking incident highlighting civic negligence has come to light from Baghpat, where a biker met with an accident after falling into a deep pothole hidden under waterlogging. The entire incident was captured on CCTV and the video is now going viral on social media.

The accident reportedly occurred near a police station in the old town area. CCTV footage shows a heavily waterlogged road, with one side completely submerged, making it impossible to assess the road condition.

In the video, a tractor-trolley is seen passing through the flooded stretch, while a helmeted biker approaches from the opposite direction. As he enters the waterlogged patch, the front wheel of his bike suddenly drops into a deep pothole concealed beneath the water. The rider loses balance and is thrown onto the road.

Locals immediately rushed to the spot and helped the injured biker. Fortunately, he escaped with minor injuries, avoiding a major tragedy.

Residents have expressed strong anger over the condition of the road, alleging that the pothole had been left unattended for a long time without any warning signs or barricades. They said the combination of waterlogging and poor road maintenance has turned the stretch into a serious hazard.
