00:07do still have high pressure across the UK keeping things dry and keeping things sunny for most but
00:14with this easterly component to the wind we have seen low cloud creep inland and that low cloud is
00:20now pushing back towards the coast and so inland the vast majority sunny skies but some lingering
00:27low cloud will affect eastern parts of England into the afternoon and some patchy cloud for
00:31Shetland and Orkney as well otherwise it's sunny skies not entirely calm it will be a brisk wind
00:39blowing across the south and southwest in particular gusts into the mid 40s miles an hour just the west
00:46of Dartmoor so that's going to make it feel cooler but actually temperatures widely reaching the high
00:53teens low 20s away from that north sea coast where it will be considerably lower more like the high
01:00single figures whatever the temperature however if you've got the sunshine we're looking at moderate
01:06to high levels of UV temperature doesn't make any difference to UV levels and speaking of UV levels
01:13into tomorrow they're possibly a little bit higher across western parts of England and Wales so levels
01:20of six into the high category the sun is strong so bear that in mind if you're spending long periods
01:26outdoors now overnight we keep the clear skies in the west but the low cloud in the east will creep
01:31back
01:31westwards and where we've got clear skies across central and eastern parts of the UK we will see
01:37some mist and fog form by dawn so low cloud mist and fog in places a touch of frost in
01:44places as well
01:44again towards central and eastern parts of the UK we'll see temperatures dipping into the low single
01:49figures or just below freezing in some sheltered rural spots where we've got the strong breeze
01:54continuing towards the southwest and western fringes we're going to see temperatures stay up in the
01:59mid to high single figures but a cool start if not chilly in places as we start off Friday and
02:06that low
02:06cloud mist and fog will last until mid-morning before clearing back once again to the east we'll keep
02:12areas of cloud across Shetland Orkney some eastern parts of Scotland and England into the afternoon
02:17otherwise it's sunny skies once again the wind not quite as brisk compared with Thursday still
02:26reasonably brisk breeze towards the southwest but not as strong temperatures then responding well
02:32high teens low 20s fairly widely and considerably warmer towards the northeast here's how the temperatures
02:40compare on Friday afternoon with Thursday afternoon so you can see by the shading here with the key on the
02:46right three to five degrees higher as far as the temperatures are concerned across the east and
02:52northeast but we do still have a lot of low cloud up towards the north sea and that once again
02:58will
02:58creep back inland and some mist and fog will form on Friday night the weekend though remaining settled high
03:05pressure continues to be in charge a lot of dry and bright weather to come
