00:05I mean, they would argue that lifting the U.S. blockade on their ports was a precondition for these negotiations.
00:15And obviously, the United States hasn't lifted that blockade. It's continued. I mean, did something get lost in translation?
00:21Well, I think what's lost in translation here is that the regime has not been clear about the fact that
00:26they will give up the number one thing that is important here, and that is their nuclear capabilities, their enrichment
00:33capabilities.
00:33You know, it's not as if that has been not core to the messaging here from President Trump.
00:39And so I think in the end, the number one priority from the United States is ensuring that the regime
00:44agrees to give up their desires of a nuclear weapon.
00:48And they've been clear that they're not willing to concede on that point.
00:51And then beyond that, it really is trying to get to the next steps, which is, of course, getting the
00:57straight back open up and organize and process in a way that sees fit economically.
01:02But ultimately, it comes down to nuclear capabilities here.
01:05And what we've seen time and again is that this is a regime that lies.
01:09They don't negotiate in good faith. In fact, they've lied about how far their missile capabilities can go.
01:15We saw that, for example, with the missiles that they launched against Diego Garcia.
01:19So, look, in the end, it comes down to are you dealing with a party that's going to negotiate in
01:24good faith?
01:25The Iranians, I don't believe, will ever negotiate in good faith.
01:28But there is a deal, I think, to be made here.
01:30And ultimately, this is the best off-ramp for the Iranian regime.
01:34You know, everyone talks about, you know, off-ramps here.
01:37Well, the real party here that needs to have an exit here, an exit strategy, that is the regime.
01:42This is their best shot here coming up with these negotiations.
01:45And if they don't, President Trump has been clear about what he will do.
01:47And that's going to be maximum military pressure, again, on key targeted attacks that obviously will be only sending the
01:55regime back even further here.
