00:00I belong to an organization of about 600 retired Israeli generals and other senior security
00:06officers. And we felt at the time that it was wrong on our prime minister to urge President
00:13Trump to leave the JCPOA. It was wrong to leave the JCPOA with not plan B of any sorts.
00:21And we even didn't think that the second strike at Iran was within a well thought through
00:30plan. Last year, I mean, it's just about a year ago, when the first 12 day war took place,
00:40most of us thought that striking Iran's nuclear facilities was urgent and justified.
00:50That was not the case with the war that started on 28 February this year. We believe that
00:59the big questions that one should ask before going to war as a last resort is, one, what
01:06do you want to accomplish? Two, is it possible to accomplish it? Three, what are the means
01:12at your disposal? And four, what is your exit strategy? What is the end game? What is the
01:17picture the morning after? And it looks though, with hindsight, and I'm not privy to the rooms
01:25of those discussions in government, in the intelligence community and so on. But with
01:30hindsight, it looks as though if those questions were asked and answered, then the answers were
01:37far too informed by wishful thinking. Regime change did not happen. The nuclear file has
01:49not been closed. The proxy issue is still viable. And the capacity to rebuild ballistic missiles
02:00missiles and other weapons is there.
