00:00One of the best players that ever graced the diamond looked like it was going to be Mike Trout
00:04until all the injuries have caught up to him.
00:07And it just seems like he just can't stay healthy, whether it be a hamstring injury, a knee injury,
00:11breaking a bone by getting hit with a pitch.
00:13He's had it all.
00:14But the power stroke, Craig, looks like it might be back early in 2026.
00:19Is it truth?
00:20Is it the truth?
00:22I mean, Donnie, he looks great to start the season here.
00:25And, you know, the consistency of his at-bats and they're showing his swing path
00:30and it looks like he's all the way back.
00:32And it was like a good question for Gray, but I guess I would ask you the same thing, Donnie.
00:37Like, is it time?
00:38Like, what we should be talking is celebrating one of the best players that we've ever watched play the game.
00:43But I think the bigger question for fantasy and for reality at this point,
00:48should the Angels strike?
00:50Is now the time?
00:51Because if they're ever going to trade this guy, we've said this three years in a row,
00:56do it while it's hot.
00:58If Trout plays, Donnie, 140 games, should we be talking about maybe him winning the MVP this season?
01:05I mean, he's got that in him.
01:07He said he wants to play center.
01:09He's doing it.
01:09He said he wants to steal bases.
01:11Well, we haven't seen that yet.
01:12But the guy looks like the guy of the past.
01:16The only problem is we've said that the last two or three years,
01:20and then he goes down with an injury.
01:22I want to believe that this is not the year.
01:25Donnie, I'm thinking that this is going to be the hot topic of the summer.
01:28And can the Angels fail again and do this whole Otani thing over again?
01:35It's, oh, you know, we love Trout.
01:37The only caveat to this whole thing is you've got this ownership group that you can't figure out what they're
01:41doing on a year-to-year basis.
01:43You have no idea.
01:44One year they're adding guys.
01:45One year they're subtracting, signing old veterans, signing young guys, trading young guys away.
01:50I mean, it kind of feels to me, Donnie, like Artie Marino and his sons, they don't want to trade
01:57Trout ever.
01:57It feels like they would just want to keep him an Angel forever.
02:01And I think this could be a moot conversation.
