Transformers Generations Age of Extinction Deluxe Class Autobot Dinobot Snarl.

Description: Snarl lives up to his name. If you see him smile, it usually means he's about to turn you into a pile of scrap metal. The thrill of battle is the only thing that makes him happy.

00:06I will defeat you, Power Rangers!
00:09The hell is this guy's problem?
00:11I don't know, but I must act!
00:13Quickly! Use Megaforce Megashit!
00:16Yeah!
00:19Oh...
00:59We'll be right back!
01:04Hello guys, I'm the Canadian reviewer, doing a new video for you guys, and this time we are taking a
01:09look at Transformers Age of Extinction Deluxe Class, Snarl.
01:14Let's take a closer look at him, shall we?
01:22Now here's Snarl in his Lemon Lime Stegosaurus alt mode, and he looks really cool and very spiky, but...
01:29Stegosaurus is really meant to be spiky and whatnot.
01:32He's got a very tiny head, and it's kind of adorable, look at it, little cutie with the red eyes.
01:39Anyways, he's got a very nice green color.
01:42I wouldn't say it's menacing, but it is kind of cool, and I gotta say, it kind of looks like
01:49a nostalgic figure.
01:51I know some people are going to complain that I said that, but it's just kind of wacky colors and
01:57kind of out there colors, not really anything modern that I would think.
02:00It's got some transparency in there, so that actually doesn't look too bad, and the whole figure alone kind of
02:09reminds me of a Beast Wars or Beast Machines figure, and it actually feels nice.
02:14He's got some articulation in the leg right here, so that's really cool.
02:19He's actually got pretty good articulation, even in the neck.
02:22Now, it's only a couple of joints, I wish they were ball joints, but you know what? It supports the
02:29thing just fine.
02:30Now, the thing that I do not like with this figure in particular is its weapon storage.
02:35I do not mind the tail, the tail is fine, but it's the top little spikes up here. It's very
02:41loose, look at it.
02:42I don't know if you can see that, but, uh, come on. There you go. It's loose.
02:49It's because this doesn't want to plug in just right, and as you can see, there's a little gap.
02:54Well, there's a little tab right here, and gap, tab, huh? That would fit. You would think it would fit,
03:01wouldn't it?
03:02But no, it's... Uhhh.
03:05Quite honestly, it's better if you take it off, but then you have a little extra little bit of armor,
03:11so I just snap that on there, and just kind of leave it like so.
03:15Taking a closer look at its head details, it looks very nice, and the unfortunate side to this,
03:21except for the little spikes on the top, is the visible feet, but I don't necessarily mind them too much,
03:29although I knew they were going to be the feet, you know, with the spikes up and swords and dynabots.
03:35So anyways, there's Snarl in his alt mode. Let's go ahead and transform him and get him into robot mode.
03:51Snarl in his alt mode.
04:03Have anyone seen my axe?
04:28You are a traitor to the Rebel Alliance!
04:30Don't hate me, cause I get attention!
04:33And so here is Snarl in his robot mode, and I gotta say, this is incredible.
04:40It reminds me of so many things, as I said before, I think.
04:44I... It looks like something from Power Rangers. It looks like something from Transformers
04:50and its original lore in its Beast Wars days. It just looks so good. I love the Mountain Dew colors.
04:57And also, it's got a little bit of G1 with the backpack with the spikes on the side.
05:03It's just... Oh my God! This is a really, really good looking figure.
05:09I mean, there... There's a lot of stuff that Age of Extinction does that, you know, a lot of people
05:14don't really support.
05:15But this guy really just... He looks really good.
05:23That head sculpt alone just screams Power Rangers, Gundam, Bionicle even, with a mouth!
05:30Oh my God! It's just... It's a thing of beauty!
05:35Let's quickly talk about his weapons and accessories.
05:38He's got this little club weapon that can be plugged onto his hand, like so, if you want, or like
05:45so, but it's a little awkward.
05:47He's also got this little translucent blade weapon, which, uh, if you plug in like so, I mean, that looks
05:56okay, that looks reasonable.
05:58But, the good part is, if you were to combine the weapons, they would make something along the lines of
06:08this.
06:10Okay, actually this. It's a... It's a nice looking axe, I gotta say, and you just plug it in like
06:16so.
06:16Now, the unfortunate part to this toy is kind of just the position of the wrist joints.
06:23As you can see, his arms... His weapon just kind of goes straight up when you got the appropriate elbow
06:29joints,
06:29so it looks kind of off, and just weird, and it doesn't give you the right, you know, playability that
06:35you might want.
06:36You can rotate the wrist and rotate it like so, and there, but, uh, you know, you kind of lose
06:43that, uh, nice elbow joint.
06:45At least they put wrist articulation in this toy, but it just doesn't feel right.
06:51Now, the unfortunate side to this transparency of back kibble is that these bits like to clash with the shoulders.
06:59However, you can close them up, and if you want them a little bit open, you can do that without
07:04the little back arm pieces clashing onto the backpack.
07:08Just a little bit of buyer beware. Uh, be careful when sliding this down. You don't want to break it,
07:14so you don't want to slide it down from this.
07:17You might want to slide it down from the peg.
07:19The box art actually shows the axe being possession in the other configuration, which is just in this way.
07:28But, one, the axe doesn't really spread itself out to be a nice-looking weapon, and two, it kind of
07:36clashes with this bottom bit.
07:38It also has its upside-down, which, I'm not exactly sure why it's like that, but, uh, I'm not saying
07:45that's not reasonable, and I'm not saying you can't do that, and I'm not saying it will look ugly, but
07:52I just really prefer this with its Mountain Dew flavor.
07:56Even though I don't got him in the greatest of poses, you can get some pretty good articulation and some
08:03pretty good poses out of this.
08:05I'm not sure how I feel about the double heads in here. It kind of makes me feel like the
08:09original design had a two-headed dinosaur, and, you know, people are complaining about Strafe on that one.
08:18He's got a little bit of purple, so that actually looks nice. It's very metallic. In fact, a lot of
08:23the colors is kind of metallic, and it kind of reminds me of the green color of Hoist.
08:28If you really like the green color of Hoist, you're going to really love this.
08:32Sadly enough, his feet feel like kind of a challenge when standing him up, but, uh, it's not like it's
08:39not plausible.
08:40And, uh, this, I see the peg where it's supposed to go, but there's kind of two places to where
08:48that could go.
08:49There's a hole on the side of the foot here, and then there's also this little, I don't know if
08:55you can see that, that little gap right there, right there.
08:59Let me point it out with my, my axe, see if that's better, right there. And that kind of just
09:05fits right in there, trying to get that in position.
09:08That kind of just fits right in there, like so. See?
09:16Do you see it now? I do like the added articulation in the shoulders. I mean, that can't hurt.
09:22And if you want, for some reason, you can disconnect the backpack and have that kind of move a little
09:29bit, if you want, to get it into different configurations, if you want.
09:34Unfortunately though, I don't know if you can see that, but the hole to where that connects, it's got a
09:41little bit of a crack.
09:43Yeah, kind of unfortunate, but, uh, yeah.
09:49And if you're still having second thoughts about this figure, look at this, he just fits so well into this
09:57lineup.
09:59So that is pretty much it for Snarl. Let's go to the overall review.
10:03I mean, just... wow.
10:07Here's a little update. There's the hinge on the waist, and there is a little bit of a stress mark
10:15there.
10:16Actually, it's very concerning.
10:20So yeah, anyways, on to the overall review.
10:29So overall, what I highly recommend Transformers Age of Extinction Deluxe Class Snarl.
10:34I would say that I would. He's got a wicked design that's very cool.
10:38You know, for the Age of Extinction haters, I, you know, people are going to hate it, but you know
10:44what?
10:44He's got a very nice look that's very much like, you know, an older figure.
10:49It reminds me of a Power Rangers villain.
10:52It reminds me a little bit of Bionicle, honestly.
10:55And, uh, it just reminds me of a Beast Wars figure.
10:58So it's got some nostalgic cues, especially with G1 Snarl in the backpack.
11:03So, um, even if you're not a big fan of Age of Extinction, you have to admit, it does take
11:10some cues from the original.
11:11And, of course, not Power Rangers and Bionicle in particular, but definitely from the original G1 Snarl figure, you can
11:20actually tell.
11:21So, uh, yeah, it's something that's really cool.
11:24You know, it's not as playable as I was hoping it was, but that's mostly due to the wrist articulation.
11:31At least he has it.
11:32Um, it's just position weird.
11:34But as for style points, he's really got a good look for him.
11:39And I would highly recommend displaying him on your shelf.
11:43Anyways, that is pretty much it.
11:44I thank you guys for watching.
11:45I am the Canadian Review.
11:46I'm going to eat some bacon.
11:48Let's dance again.
11:50I'm all God!
11:52Let's show you la
11:53on.
11:53I'm all alone.
12:10Let's do it, man.
12:11I'm all alone.
12:11I'm all alone.
12:16Come again.
