Transformers Generations Age of Extinction Deluxe Class Autobot Crosshairs.

This Autobot paratrooper has a knack for catching his enemies by surprise, either by dropping in from above, or with a lightning-fast draw of his Sidearm Blasters.

00:06We've got to ride this thing?
00:08You've got to be kidding me.
00:56Hello guys, I'm the Knavi Reviewer and as you can tell by the title we're
00:59taking a look at Age of Extinction Crosshairs, now I can already tell what you're saying.
01:04Age of Extinction Crosshairs, time to reject it.
01:09But honestly, with my interaction with the figure, it was more like this.
01:14Age of Extinction Crosshairs, let's see how good this figure is.
01:19I can't figure it out where everything does.
01:23I need to change more, but where do the guns go?
01:27There's a mammoth up there.
01:30Oh, I figured it out.
01:32So, unless I've spent a lot of time with Crosshairs and was able to figure out all the doodads
01:38and whatnot and how it works and I was able to kind of master the figure,
01:42or I was set in a trance by Patton.
01:46You are a Canadian moron.
01:48I don't know, but I don't even care.
01:51We're going to take a look at this show and I'm going to flail my arms back and forth.
01:56You're going to watch.
01:57You're going to...
02:04And this is Crosshairs in assault mode.
02:06Now, some people have complained about this mold, but you know what I have to say?
02:10I have ice cream.
02:12Your argument is invalid.
02:14Let's go ahead and take a quick look at the packaging.
02:16Wow!
02:18Riveting as always.
02:20Crosshairs does transform into a green Corvette and I gotta say it doesn't look too bad.
02:24It does have the wing logo in the front, however, it's unpainted and it's got a little bit of detail
02:30in the back.
02:30That doesn't look too bad.
02:32It does not have the black patterns on the other side, but I don't necessarily mind that.
02:37He's got some good, awesome, clear windows and, you know, because it's black inside it, you know,
02:42it's not really that much of a bother.
02:45It's not like, hey, there's a robot inside.
02:47How obvious.
02:49Underneath, yeah, you can pretty much see the entire robot,
02:51but I'm not going to look at the underneath when he's in alt mode.
02:55Except when I do this, but when I have him like this, it's disappeared.
03:00It's magic.
03:01Take a look at those silver rims with the black Autobot logos on each side.
03:05I also want to mention that there are a couple of variants with crosshairs themselves.
03:11Now, I believe there's three variants.
03:14I've got the one with the black headlights.
03:16You can actually see underneath this clear piece right here.
03:21If I could pop that out.
03:23That it's got a little bit of black paint.
03:26Now, some crosshairs have that unpainted.
03:29And I believe there's actually a couple with that silver.
03:33So there's various things.
03:35Let me talk about a few things about transforming crosshairs because his instructions suck so badly.
03:43Alright, first off.
03:45With the arm transformation, you want to make sure that the arms actually click into place.
03:51Because they've got this joint, and then they got this joint right in here.
03:57I'll take a look at that on the other side.
03:59It's got this joint with the big silver metal thingy.
04:03And on that joint, you want to click it into place and put it all the way down.
04:09As well, there's a bunch of tabs you have to look at.
04:13There's a clear tab right here.
04:15You can see that just in there.
04:17There's a little bit of...
04:19I don't want to say it's a tab, but there's a little bit of a groove sticking out on the
04:23side.
04:24It's got a tab right there.
04:25And then you kind of want to wiggle this around to where it actually hooks into place in there.
04:31Some people still do have problems with crosshairs, even if they do master it.
04:36Now, that could be a problem of the warping of the plastic, but just keep a big eye out.
04:41Or a small eye out.
04:43Or whatever eye you have.
04:45For size comparison, here is Slug just for, you know, because that's my only other Age of Extinction figure except
04:51for lockdown at this current time.
04:53Here's another size comparison with Roadbuster.
04:57And actually, he's a bit longer than Roadbuster.
05:00He's just as long, but I gotta say that Roadbuster feels a lot smaller.
05:06And Crosshairs doesn't feel that small at all.
05:09And compared to Dropkick, he actually seems into, or be into, a pretty good scale with him.
05:15So that's it for Crosshairs in his alt mode. Let's go on to the robot mode.
05:41This goes without saying, but...
05:44Come at me, bro!
05:46And here's the Pear Trooper in his robot mode.
05:49And as you can see, he's cool. He's dandy. He's in my favorite color, which is green.
05:53Ooh, it's just joyful.
05:55Anyways, for a size comparison, here is R.I.D. Bumblebee.
05:59And as you can see, he is a little bit smaller than R.I.D. Bumblebee.
06:03But the same thing with Slug that I said earlier.
06:06If you have him just by himself, you don't really feel the size difference of Deluxe figures.
06:11Let's go through some of the bits in here.
06:13Yes, he does have these rubber bits in here.
06:17And yes, they do tab on, and it's kind of annoying.
06:19But, uh...
06:20I don't know what it is exactly on mine, but mine seem to be easy to push in.
06:27It's mostly that I usually stick on this side first, and then try to wiggle it in.
06:34I don't know, just something about that.
06:36And then that popped out, but that was because of me.
06:39It would be cool if he could do the hotshot thing where his goggles flip down,
06:42but I can kind of see why they wouldn't.
06:45An unfortunate side is his head articulation.
06:48He does look up and down just a little bit, and he does tilt his head side to side.
06:53However, you want to be careful with that because it feels like it's going to snap at a point,
06:57and it's very limited.
06:59What is kind of cool about the arms is you can get some of the panels out of the way,
07:02like this just folds out a little bit, so you can get that range of motion,
07:06and you can do the paratrooper thing, and whee! Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!
07:10Also, this is going to make a bunch of people cringe.
07:16I don't know if this is just on mine, but it doesn't do the loud QUICK!
07:22It's actually kind of soft, and, uh...
07:24I'll be honest, I don't feel like that's going to snap any time soon just by me doing this.
07:29Although you might not like how this kind of flows.
07:31Yes, they are giant pieces of plastic, so it's kind of hard to do that.
07:35I do like, however, that these side pieces form part of the cowl cape thing,
07:42because they're kind of on curves, and it just...
07:44Oh, it looks like it's blowing in the wind.
07:46He has a toothpick!
07:50He has a toothpick!
07:52Why does this have silver kneecaps when the toy doesn't?
07:57Also, why is it mis-transformed?
08:00What a lot of people don't seem to know,
08:02which is kind of understandable considering that it's nowhere in the instructions,
08:06is that you can store the miniguns inside the alt mode.
08:10Now, I'm just going to pop this one out just to show you guys how that looks.
08:14There's the one gun, and he also has another gun that is the similar mold.
08:19You can see right in there.
08:22Now, I'm just going to unplug that.
08:23You can see the peg right there, and you can see there's a hole right in there.
08:30Right in there.
08:32And you just plug the little piece in the hole, and there you go.
08:36And you can still curl these in and, you know, stuff them in,
08:40and he still transforms just fine.
08:42Now, a lot of people would consider that this gun does not have a place to go
08:46in this robot mode except for the hand.
08:49Well, there's actually a couple of different places.
08:52You can open this up just a little bit and kind of stuff the gun in there.
08:56Well, if you don't like that, there is another way you can do it.
09:01And, uh, try and guess.
09:03Guess where it is.
09:04Come on.
09:04Guess.
09:05Is it right here?
09:07On the side of the leg?
09:08In this little hole that you plug the gun in for the alt mode?
09:15Maybe.
09:16Although he only has one of those big guns,
09:19you can flip them around so that you get kind of a different look.
09:23I don't care, I usually have this.
09:25And you know what?
09:26He's got guns for days, so it doesn't really matter.
09:29You can still have him double wheeling, and ooh, and ahh.
09:33So as comparison with Slug, yes, he is a little bit smaller,
09:36but I gotta say it kind of works because the Dinobots are supposed to be huge.
09:41Even though this isn't like, whoa, it's so huge and movie accurate.
09:45I kind of expected that when Dinobots were, you know, going in the films,
09:50because Dinosaurs are huge and Dinobots would be huge.
09:54And, uh, it just, I don't think it would have worked as well.
09:57So I don't mind the scale at all for these figures.
10:00Oh, and yes, you can get 360 articulation in the arms.
10:05However, because of the way that the arm is,
10:09it kind of looks weird when you look at it,
10:11because that's where the arm connects,
10:13and it's got a long stick ball joint thing.
10:16And you might want to watch out for that too,
10:18because there's a lot of parts that that can hit,
10:20and I just feel like it's going to snap at some point.
10:23So there's Crosshairs in his robot mode.
10:26Let's go on to the overall review.
10:33So overall, do I have to recommend Crosshairs?
10:36You know what?
10:36I would if it's on a good deal,
10:39because it could be a good figure,
10:41but it could be a bad figure.
10:43I've heard there were a few problems with the mold,
10:46and I think that was a problem with the mold itself.
10:50Like, it got some tab that was slightly,
10:54you know, just off a little bit.
10:56But if you get everything lined up and everything perfect,
10:59it actually works out quite fine.
11:01As for kids, I wouldn't recommend it just for all the tabs,
11:05but if they're careful enough, I guess it's okay.
11:09For collectors, even though they might not like the whole movie aesthetic,
11:14and might not like this figure,
11:15if you have a little bit of an interest,
11:17you might want to look into it.
11:19Anyways, I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:21I'm going to eat some bacon.
11:22I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:31I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:33I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:40I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:41I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:42I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:43I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:43I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:43I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:43I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:44I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:45I'm the Canadian Viewer.
11:49I'm the Canadian Viewer.
