01:29So here's Slug in his alt mode, and as you can see, he is a triceratops, which doesn't
01:34look too bad, and I can already hear everyone cringing, eww, it's the movieverse, eww, but

01:42I gotta say, as a toy, this Dinobot is not bad, and I'm going to respect it as a toy.
01:48It really isn't.
01:50I mean, you get some nice details with the silver and all that, it's got some nice dark
01:54gray, which, by the way, you put dark gray on a figure any day and I'll be like, man!
01:59And, just, overall, it's a lot of fun, even with these stupid little spikes coming out.

02:14Now, it has been confirmed that an Age of Extinction Slug will appear, however, he will not be in this

02:21As a toy, I can understand why it's in this purple color.
02:25I would like a more movie-accurate version, but I'm still going to say that I get why it

02:36Probably, actually.
02:37I mean, yes, that's more accurate, but, you know, just hire a customizer and you can get
02:42a nice-looking slug figure that's accurate to the show representation.
02:47But, as a toy, I get why it's purple, you know, the Rage of Nation, Alex, you made a point
02:53that it's to differentiate the Transformers characters, because if all the Dinobots look
02:58the same, then parents are going to be like, uh, you know what?
03:02They all look the same, why don't you just buy one?
03:04But the Dinobots seem to look good together, and I like this.
03:08Anyways, let's focus on the toy itself.
03:11It's got some pretty good ball joints and hinges, but it's not highly articulated.
03:16You can get this little tilt action, which, by the way, is awesome.
03:21I should point this out, there's two little tabs on the side right here, that are supposed
03:27to tab onto this.
03:29But it's a little tricky, and you have to fill with this, and it's kind of a problem,
03:34because once you finally get this in and start playing with the back legs, they want to detach.
03:39Just for comparison's sake, here's Slug, and here is the Prid Bumblebee, and as you can
03:44see, they stack up to size okay.
03:47You gotta realize that this is a deluxe figure, so it's not going to be absolutely huge.
03:53Okay, just because you asked nicely, here we go.
03:57Yep, it's silly.
03:59It's like a 30-year-old man trying to ride a chihuahua.
04:02And this is going to piss off everyone, but I wanted to compare a Cyberverse figure, and
04:07I decided, hey, why not get a Bumblebee, because I don't know.
04:11But, uh, Bumblebee looks too big, even the Cyberverse Legions look too big.
04:16It's more accurate, I guess, but Drift was tiny compared to Slug.
04:22I gotta admit, the Creons look really good right next to them.
04:27I mean, holy crap, that is just right around perfect.

05:11I just want to make a point and say that Autobot logo is not on the actual toy.
05:16The only Autobot logo on this toy is on the arm.
05:19However, I don't think the black Autobot logo is going to change much of my opinion.
05:24I gotta point out, this guy lacks kibble on the back.
05:30Yes, he's got this huge piece on the back and the arms, but you know what?
05:33Whatever!
05:34I like it!
05:35I do also like how the dino arms kind of fill out the chest.
05:39I think that's a smart move.
05:40However, I wish the toes could fold down.
05:43I think that'd be epic and awesome!
05:45And they didn't do that!
05:46One reason why the toes need to tilt is because these arms stick out way too far when you want
05:51them to rest down.
05:53And it's kind of annoying.
05:54If you want the arms completely down, I guess you can do that.
06:00Hmm?
06:01Take a good look at that head sculpt.
06:03My god, does it look like a knight.
06:07Yes.
06:08Yes!
06:09Although I get what they're doing with this, the knight helmet is a little sharp at the nose.
06:15He's got rubbery swords!
06:17For days!
06:20Wow!
06:21Best weapons ever!
06:23And he's got pointy clown feet because he is a knight, and knights had those!
06:32The one piece that concerns me for degradation over the years is not these horns or the swords.
06:39It's this little piece of rubber.
06:41I understand why it's molded like this, but with limited force it just folds completely down because it's so thin.
06:50So that's a little concern for me.
06:52Here's a size comparison between Slug and Bumblebee.
06:55Now, Slug does feel a little bit smaller when compared to other Transformers.
07:00However, if you have Slug just by himself, he actually feels just fine.
07:04This is another transformation.
07:06You rotate the legs around, flip the tail out, rotate the waist, and then you get that!
07:16But you can extend it out to get that.
07:22That...
07:22I mean seriously, who's going to enjoy that?
07:29Speaking of fan-made modes, imagine this for the arms in the movie.
07:34I don't like how the shoulder pieces kind of get in the way for some of the articulation.
07:38And he needs wrist articulation so badly with those awesome weapons.
07:44But I gotta say, overall, he's not a horrible figure.
07:49If you don't like the Age of Extinction aesthetics, that's one thing.
07:53But if you do, I gotta say this guy's not really that bad.
07:56So let's go to my overall review!
07:58I should probably also mention this.
08:00This is also a fan-made type of mode type thing.
08:04But you can store the weapons on the back using the tail right here.
08:08It might warp the rubber just a bit, but I don't think it will affect it too much.

08:17So overall, do I have to recommend Dinobot Slug?
08:21Absolutely if you like that kind of stuff.
08:24If you're interested in him, I don't think you're gonna get disappointed at all.
08:29And I have a little bit of fun.
