00:57for Halloween. Now you're probably wondering, what's Halloween?
01:08Like, you should probably figure it out by now.
01:11Well, with that being said, let's do a little Halloween special video review on a very Halloween-esque
01:19type figure now. I don't really have a lot of Halloween-esque type figures, so I'm doing
01:25one in Halloween spooky colors, including orange and black. This is a review of Transformers
01:33ConstructBot's DEAD END. OOOH, NOT CONSTRUCTBOTS, HA HA HA HA HA!
01:46And here's DEAD END in his alt mode, and as you can see, he works as well as my last
01:51trick-or-treat adventure. Okay, let me see what I got this here! Oh my god! Q-tips. And
01:58they're youth! So basically, if you don't get what I meant, it doesn't really work. I do
02:03like the front-of-the-nose-cone type thing going on with this. It's kinda got like a dragster
02:10effect to it, and I really do like that idea! I know a lot of people might not like that
02:15idea, but I kinda like that ConstructBot's is doing something a little bit different for
02:21their lineup. But, uh, the major problem that I have with this is if I take off the swords,
02:26which, by the way, I can't find the purple Decepticon logo right now, but, uh, it's basically
02:32the same, uh, Decepticon logos we've been getting, except it's all purple.
02:38The reason why this just doesn't work is because you kinda have to untab a lot of things to really
02:45get this fit for the alt mode. Now, I got it in pretty well right now, but, uh, it's kind
02:51of ironic how,
02:52I can't really push the chest all the way down because I kinda have to have this orange slip
02:59inside of his chest to really get it into alt mode, and I kinda have to lift this piece up
03:05from its peg
03:06to, uh, be able to get the feet out of the way. So, it just doesn't work. Uh, the colors
03:12I don't
03:13necessarily mind, but I wish there was more black into this, or, you know, just some of the pieces
03:19were actually painted. I know LEGO doesn't generally do that, and I get what they're
03:24getting, uh, inspired with, whatever. But, uh, really, it just doesn't add a lot of detail.
03:31And, uh, with the ConstructBot line, you kind of feel restricted to, uh, do whatever. And, uh,
03:38especially with all this, with everything getting in the way, it doesn't feel like you can actually
03:43build whatever your imagination amounts to, because this is a prime example. Not everything
03:50goes together right, and it's kind of weird that that's all in a set. Now, that might just be mine,
03:56and I might have something wrong, but I have a couple of other ConstructBots, and I've been
04:02transforming them quite well, uh, since I got them, and this one has got me, uh, you know,
04:08a bad time with this. So, yeah, this alt mode works as well as, uh, Poutine's Halloween costume,
04:14which is a ghost. Ooh! Ooh! Poutine, where's my sock?
04:26With that being said, let's go on to the robot mode. Actually, before we go on to robot mode,
04:33you can plug the tires right on the front here, and you can have that effect. Unfortunately,
04:39the feet are in the way. I guess you can untab them or something like that. You can do whatever
04:45you want, but, uh, once you get the feet out of the way, I like that look. It's ConstructBots!
04:52Plugging and unplugging is as simple as ABFW TRANSFORM!
05:05So, please buy me.

05:52And he was dead-end in his alt mode, and as you can see, he's got wacky color scheme stuff
05:57going on,
05:58and, uh, it just doesn't work. With the Transformers Prime model, he had some dark colors to go with this,
06:04but, uh, this guy just is covered in bright colors.
06:09Don't get me wrong, I do see some black in this figure,
06:12but most of the armor kinda covers that, and it just doesn't look right to me.
06:18I-I just... I'm not into it.
06:20I know they're bright green, and it's kind of a weird color,
06:23but at least it resembles to Transformers Prime, and just look at the swords, they're beautiful.
06:28You can even store the weapons on the back!
06:33You believe in magic!
06:35Now, with that said, this guy does retain some of the problems of the original ConstructBots.
06:41Like, for example, you know, I don't like how some of these parts clip into place.
06:45His ball joints feel a little too tight,
06:48to the point where the joints feel like they're gonna snap if I rotate them too much.
06:53And, uh, of course, his head feels like it's going to snap off the little neck piece,
06:58which I feel that if that were to break, I'm going to cry like a little bitch,
07:02and it's just gonna be very upsetting, and I'm going to feel like a child and not like an adult.
07:08Like, I'm... I should.
07:14Happy Halloween!
07:16Seriously, just look at the color scheme. It really doesn't work.
07:21Yeah, but, I mean, he does have a pretty cool face. I really do like the style of that.
07:28Um, I love the swords, of course. The coloring is not too bad. I get where it's coming from, and,
07:35uh, I'm not gonna say it doesn't work for this figure, but it is a little plain,
07:39and I wish there was more detail. But, uh, shin-shin-shin-shin-shin-shin-shin!
07:46So, anyways, that's pretty much it. Uh, let's go to my overall review.
07:55So, overall, what I would recommend... Transformers ConstructBots dead end?
08:01Nope! Not really. It's sad, because, uh, this figure actually does use a lot of, uh,
08:07different parts from different, uh, Transformers, which is a really cool idea,
08:11and really gives us the idea that you can swap parts. Unfortunately, though, with this figure,
08:19the parts just kind of clash to each other, and they don't really work to make a, a nice looking
08:24car. I'm fine with the huge nose cone on a car idea. I mean, that's not the huge problem,
08:32but the entire figure doesn't really work in alt mode. Robot mode, it looks fine. Alt mode is just
08:39another story. This figure was like 10 bucks. I think you can use, uh, you know, 10 bucks on something
08:45else, honestly. Not really the best looking figure, honestly. I'm not a huge fan of the colors. Um,
08:52I mean, I do like the idea of the colors, don't get me wrong, but, uh, it just doesn't work
08:58right,
08:58because it's too bright, it doesn't really show a lot of the detail, and it just kind of just,
09:04just kind of fades into, like, DUH! So, uh, yeah. Not really the figure that I would highly recommend,
09:13which is unfortunate, because I thought that I would. Again, the alt mode looks great, I love the
09:18swords, but the alt mode just kind of ruins it for me. Anyways, that's pretty much it. I'm a good
