00:00Hi, my name is David Michael Cray, and today I have a poem for you that I wrote called
00:04A Movement of Grace.
00:07It goes like this.
00:10Recovery is a movement of grace, of elevating place towards the face of love, with the desire
00:17of giving more than we receive, even though we believe that it is not possible for us
00:23to give more than the gift of the life we live.
00:26For life holds the hope of future triumphs over trials and tribulations, walking the
00:32path of recovery and participating in the creation of our futures.
00:37This moment is the beginning of the newness love ensures, and is the instant before the
00:43dawn of our victory, over doubt and despair, over fear and futility, and over the pain and
00:51confusion of the time before hope showed us there was a solution.
00:56So as we move away from our losses and our path crosses others' paths, we hope that the
01:03scope of our heart's desires shows in the fires our love kindles in others, so that our shared
01:10experience with our sisters and brothers of the universe causes us to shine with brilliance
01:16as a great light unto the world.
