00:00Hi, my name is David Michael Cray, also known as Crayfish, and today I have a poem for you
00:06that I wrote called Healed by Jesus Christ.
00:08It goes like this.
00:11Yes, I was healed by Jesus Christ, who bore all my sickness and infirmities and sins, so
00:18that I would not have to, who suffered and died so that I could be made new, who lived
00:25a perfect life to show me what to do, who has a perfect view of what is always true, beyond
00:33what we ever will know or knew.
00:36So to grow is to come to better know the Father, Spirit, and Son, and to lean on them rather
00:43than on reason, so that we then are seeking a living truth, powerful and loving, ready
00:52to soothe the sorrowed soul, moving more smoothly through us as we learn to live its loving
00:58language, until like a dream, we float into the unimaginable eternity of majestic ecstasy
01:05and walk on golden streets, where everyone meets the maker of morality, the mender of
01:14broken hearts, the finisher of buried dreams, beginning in the sacred realm of God's heart.
01:21When these dreams start, they are put in his obedient creation, and being always expedient
01:28are fulfilled in God's glorious future, as a suture to the wounds of the soul, making
01:36us whole.
01:37No, though I once believed that the pain I received was a reason to fear, a reason to
01:44doubt, a proof death was near, I know now death is defeated, and Jesus is seated high
01:51on his throne, where a level of wonder we have never known in this world is passed over for
01:58a pleasure so great it makes those amazing states of wonderment seem paltry in comparison.
02:05Yes, my God is infinite in ways mankind cannot fathom, and the evidence of these truths about
02:13him lie in the collection of truths that are common to all men, about the goodness of creation
02:18in spite of the weakness of our actions.
02:22Even the light of the love of the self in us is evidence of God's love, though sometimes
02:29abused.
02:30This emotion is used to show that God's request for obedience in any instance is not
02:37a denial of the perfection of our spirit, but rather a suggestion that the need for the
02:42immediacy of peace can be trumped by the power of God for the proliferation of the righteousness
02:49of Christ to every tribe and every nation.
02:53Yes, pain means God is asking me to grow closer to him, but also to stay free.
03:00No, it doesn't mean divine health will not flow from him in me, through me, and for me.
03:07My peace does not have to seem to line up with the knowledge of this phase of my youth in
03:14eternity.
03:15Yes, I will rely on the word of God for my truth and its certainty.
03:20I want to understand it all perfectly.
03:23No, I don't have to understand because God will protect his plan for me.
03:29Yes, I was healed because I believed and my healing will never leave.
