00:04From the banks of the Mississippi River, we welcome you to New York Knicks basketball, presented by Chase.
00:10Tonight, the Knicks wrap up a four-game road trip with a visit to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies
00:15at FedEx Forum.
00:16It's the second night of a back-to-back for Mikael Bridges and the Knicks looking to bounce back from
00:21yesterday's loss in Houston.
00:22Carl Anthony Towns and the Knicks finish March 10-6, but they would love a 6-0 month of April
00:29as they take the floor in Memphis, Tennessee.
00:33Glad you're with us, everybody.
00:34Alongside Steve Novak, I'm Tyler Murray.
00:37A couple of injury notes for the Knicks.
00:38They will not have Deuce McBride nor Mitchell Robinson, both out with injury management, and no Jalen Brunson either.
00:44He'll miss this game because of right ankle soreness.
00:47But both Brunson and Josh Hart had some interesting comments after yesterday's disappointing defeat.
00:53Knicks fell behind 12-1 early and never got back within closer than one possession.
00:59Here's what Brunson and Hart said about their main concerns right now.
01:03The effort, the attention to detail, the discipline was pretty embarrassing.
01:09So, we got to figure it out, make sure we're all locked in, you know, mentally to get into where
01:18we want to go.
01:19It was just mental lapses and things that shouldn't be happening by game 75 or 6, whatever this is.
01:27But, no, we just got a long way to go.
01:32How was that corrected?
01:36Just by overcommunication, by holding each other accountable, and, you know, and just not just getting discouraged.
01:43Like, obviously, this is a bump in the road, but we can't get discouraged.
01:47We can't let a lot of outside noise messes up internally.
01:51You know, we just got to continue to fight.
01:52Three tough ones.
01:53We got another one tomorrow.
01:54You know, that's a must-win for us, and build from there.
01:59We just heard Josh Hart call this a must-win game tonight in Memphis.
02:02And, really, these final six regular season games feel really important to get set for the postseason.
02:07What do you want to see before the playoffs start?
02:09Well, I think Hart and Brunson really did just summarize so well what needs to take place.
02:13Because, look, it's not acceptable the way the team has played the last three games.
02:17And that's clearly what they're saying.
02:18There does need to be a greater attention to detail.
02:21It does need to be better communication on the defensive end and a little bit of accountability.
02:25And I think hearing those guys say that is what you want to hear at this point.
02:28And I think if this team plays that way, you're going to see it right away in this first quarter.
02:32This is going to be a team that plays with desperation on both ends of the floor.
02:36You're going to be able to sense it just by watching the game.
02:38And I think it's important to remember the last time this team had a three-game losing streak,
02:43they bounced back and won eight straight games.
02:46So, we'll see what they can do starting tonight.
02:47Like you said, only six games left.
02:49But now's a good time to get it going.
02:50Well, the Knicks are shorthanded tonight.
02:52But the Grizzlies have been shorthanded all season long.
02:54They've had to use an NBA high.
02:5630 different players this year.
02:58But one constant has been rookie Cedric Coward.
03:01He's been a really bright point for this team.
03:02He's been a bright point.
03:03He's been just a great story so far this year in the NBA.
03:06And really, he's been a huge X factor for this Grizzlies team.
03:09And a great story because he started out his college career at Wilmette University,
03:14a D3 school in Oregon.
03:16Ended up a couple years later with an offer from Duke and decided to go to the draft.
03:20Austin Stead got picked number 11 in this year's draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
03:25And so, this is a guy who, when he plays well, he is the next factor for this group
03:29because when he scores 20 or more points, they have gone 5-1 in the six games that he's done
03:35that.
03:35So, keep an eye on this 22-year-old rookie.
03:38The Desmond Bain trade in the offseason brought a lot of draft capital back to the Grizzlies.
03:43They used some of it to move up to 11 and draft Cedric Coward.
03:46Been a pretty advantageous exchange so far.
03:50Well, the Knicks are going to get Landry Schammett back tonight for the first time since March 20th.
03:54He missed the last five games with a knee contusion.
03:57And the Knicks went 2-3 in his absence.
03:59Mike Brown says there won't be a minutes restriction.
04:01So, the Knicks should have one of their better shooters ready to roll tonight.
04:04Last game of a four-game road trip tonight in Memphis.
04:07And then the regular season wraps up with four of the last five at home.
04:11A chance for the Knicks to get back in the win column and sweep the season series.
04:15Zerbiak, Knicks, and Memphis coming up.
04:17Jalen Brunson out with a sore ankle.
04:19So, that means that Jose Alvarado, while he's our Chipotle real difference maker,
04:23his second start as a Knick at his first start, he played really well with 16 points against the Pacers
04:27on March 17th.
04:28He did.
04:29You know, he's been pining for some minutes.
04:31Only played 12 minutes last night.
04:32He played very well at 12 points, shot 5 for 6.
04:35He's going to get big minutes tonight.
04:36He's going to run the squad.
04:38He's got to be really aggressive.
04:39This team's going to obviously play with more pace with him in the lineup running the point.
04:43All right.
04:44So, the Knicks and the Grizzlies coming up.
04:46Opening tip is coming up.
04:47Enjoy the call from Tyler Murray and Steve Novak.
04:51Knicks and Grizzlies.
04:52It's the second-to-last road game of the season.
04:56Knicks go to Atlanta next Monday.
04:57The rest are at home.
04:59Starting lineups presented by Genesis.
05:01Jose Alvarado will make his second Knicks start in place of Jalen Brunson.
05:05Of course, against the Pacers, he went off for a double-double a couple of weeks ago.
05:09And for the Grizzlies, two rookies, one second-year player,
05:12and their most experienced starter is Omax Prosper in just his third year.
05:18Find Your Paces presented by Experience Abu Dhabi.
05:21It's Steve's keys to the game.
05:22Well, the first one is respond.
05:24And obviously, it's because there's been three straight losses.
05:26Let's see what this looks like from the start.
05:28Let's hope it's a ton of energy and a little bit of desperation.
05:31And look, you've got to be tied together on your great communication.
05:34That's what you heard come out of the locker room after last game is these guys got to play well
05:38together.
05:39And then let's get back to it.
05:40Let's get some wins.
05:41Seven-game winning streak.
05:42And now a recent three-game losing streak.
05:44Let's get back to the winning ways we know this team can.
05:47Got up to a great start way back in November, the last time they played the Grizzlies,
05:51a 42-point first quarter.
05:53And how about Adonobi on the alley-oop with the assistant Alvarado?
05:56How about Coach Brown bringing the first play knowing, look, we've got to get back to winning.
06:00Let's get the energy, the joy, the passion right.
06:03A lot of play starts that.
06:05Cedric Coward gets Hart off his feet and can't hit from the midrange.
06:09Mike Brown said after last night's game and before today's opening tip, they missed too many open shots in the
06:16loss to Houston.
06:17And six of 18 by his advanced metrics on open shots.
06:22And Adonobi will swing it around.
06:24Alvarado wide open.
06:25Hot start for Jose Alvarado.
06:27Well, it's great seeing the ball pop, move quickly, good decisions, but also seeing your point guard knock a shot
06:33down.
06:33Now they've got to guard a little bit closer.
06:37Perhaps an opportunity for Knicks fans to learn about some new players.
06:41There's Cam Spencer, second year out of UConn.
06:43Now Gigi Jackson in his third year from South Carolina.
06:47He'll step back to nail a three over Bridges, and the Grizzlies are on the board.
06:51He's hot.
06:52He was six for seven last game.
06:54His shot tap was a tough one, and he's looking like he didn't lose his rhythm since being hot last
06:59game.
07:0017 points on average for Gigi Jackson these last 25 games now.
07:05He's been a major featured player with a ridiculous amount of injuries from Memphis.
07:10And Adonobi fouled on a corner shot.
07:12See if he kept his feet behind the three-point line as Coward commits the personal,
07:16and it will be three foul shots for OG Adonobi.
07:20Well, you could just see he got those feet set.
07:23He kind of saw the shot clock was winding down and looked a little bit forced,
07:26but I think got bailed out with Coward getting out there, putting a hand right on his elbow,
07:30and Coward is a very good, smart, high-IQ rookie, especially for a rookie, but that's an early mistake.
07:40And Adonobi, nice to see one go through early.
07:43He had the dunk on the first possession and now hits his first free throw.
07:47As we looked at Tomas Isolo in his first full year,
07:51he was the interim coach who took over at the very end of last season
07:54when Taylor Jenkins was relieved of his duties.
07:57Isolo actually coached Nick rookie Mohamedi Awara in France when he played for Paris.
08:04Coach Isolo's been around a little bit.
08:06Two-time German League Coach of the Year, French League Coach of the Year, Euro Cup Coach of the Year.
08:11You see it, we've got some rowdy fans by his time.
08:14Holy cow, people screaming right in our mics.
08:16Now, there are a lot of Knicks fans in the building.
08:20The young fella behind us, who you may be hearing, is dressed in a John Morant jersey.
08:25But Morant is one of seven Grizzlies who's been ruled out for the year.
08:29Omax Prosper on the drive.
08:31He'll draw a foul on Ananobi, who just made all three free throws on the other end,
08:35and Ananobi comes away grabbing his midsection.
08:38He's taking a knee to the stomach there.
08:41Yeah, a really strong take by who they call Omax.
08:45A little shorter than Olivier Maxentz-Pence.
08:50Yeah, I was wondering why you knew his full name so well.
08:52And then I realized he went to Marquette.
08:54And for two years, he played alongside Tyler Kolek in Wisconsin for the Golden Eagles.
08:59They know each other well.
09:00I imagine Kolek was in the shoot-around this morning,
09:04making sure he was giving the KYP, know your personnel.
09:07This is what Prosper likes to do.
09:09Giving him all the tips.
09:10There's a lot of Marquette guys in the league.
09:12Kolek's got an inside track on all those scouting reports.
09:16Prosper from Montreal.
09:19First-round pick by Sacramento and traded to Dallas a couple of years ago.
09:26Alvarado running the point for the Knicks.
09:29He's got a shot going again these last two games.
09:31He's four for his last six from three.
09:35And it will be able to find Towns.
09:37They do not have a player, Memphis.
09:39Taller than six-foot-nine available tonight.
09:42It's Hart at the dunker spot.
09:43He got blocked by Prosper.
09:47Prosper got it back from Jackson and somehow backed it in.
09:51Tough finish.
09:52Boy, he's got a lot of physicality.
09:53Those last two attacks by Prosper.
09:55Really looking for the contact.
09:57Got fouled on the last one and able to finish right there.
10:00Bridges in the corner.
10:02Only took four shots yesterday.
10:04Made three of them.
10:08Hartstein's a cutting.
10:09Bridges in a nice right-hand finish.
10:11Well, just great movement and great cutting.
10:13That's what this New York Knicks offense is all about.
10:16What Coach Brown wants them to do.
10:17And so you like seeing reads happen like that.
10:19The guy that makes the read is the one who ends up with the ball.
10:23This is Javon Small, a rookie out of West Virginia.
10:27Got right to the rim and draws a foul.
10:31Javon Bridges is so good working off the ball.
10:33Well, and there's some offenses, some head coaches that love to run set after set.
10:38Good or bad, depending on what you'd like to watch or what group you have.
10:41And, look, it's a lot of reads and a lot of cuts, a lot of dribble handoffs.
10:44That's what Coach Brown's offense is.
10:46And I think that is the kind of shot you should be getting out of it.
10:49A read, the defense has to react.
10:51And you're reading what they're doing, you get an easy one.
10:54It was the first foul on Karl-Anthony Towns as Small hits the first free throw.
11:00McHale Bridges, he snapped a streak yesterday with four straight games,
11:04scoring at least 14 points, and a really high efficiency.
11:10Small gets both free throws, but, of course, last year's playoff run
11:14really did hinge on the high-level play of McHale Bridges.
11:20Probably impossible to beat the Celtics in round two without him last year,
11:24so maybe he's hitting his stride heading toward the postseason.
11:27Yeah, and I do think this team is built for the playoffs, to your point.
11:31The guys that they have and the number of guys that can step up
11:34and impact the playoff series, it's different than a lot of teams.
11:37Late shot clock for Towns, finds a cutting in, and he throws it down.
11:42Holy cow, look at the power with that.
11:44When Ananobi goes up to dunk like that, he's got time to put his forearm right on his hip.
11:48Good to see just how powerful he is.
11:50A nice pass out of the double team from Towns.
11:53This is Small again.
11:55Coward.
11:56Almost threw it away.
12:01Small on the baseline, steps around Hart.
12:04Wide open, Prosper in the corner.
12:06Mr. Three.
12:08And Ananobi outlets to Bridges.
12:11Streaking ahead, and he finds an open window for a bank shot layup.
12:14He was doing a little dancing on that whole possession,
12:17just figuring out where the defender was going to be.
12:19A little, looked like a Euro to another Euro.
12:21That was nice.
12:22It was one on three.
12:23He had no problem on the break.
12:25Coward, a turnaround jumper, and he's able to draw the foul on Hart.
12:29That's his first.
12:33Foul on the three, he drops on Hart.
12:35He's a third.
12:36Just a great job of finding where the mismatches are,
12:39finding the gaps in the defense.
12:41Great cut right there by Ananobi and strong finish.
12:44And then you want to push the pace.
12:46You want to get out and run.
12:47And, man, that was really nice.
12:49Bridges showing what he's got with that footwork.
12:51With no Brunson out there, we want to see that kind of footwork.
12:55Grizzlies will get two rookies into the game.
12:57Walter Clayton, Jr., a national champion with Florida last year.
13:00And Tyler Burton, one of ten Villanova players in the NBA.
13:06He's on his second ten-day contract.
13:09Four years at Richmond and then one in Philly at Villanova.
13:14A lot of movement in college now.
13:15Used to get a scouting report.
13:17It would say, this guy went here.
13:18And now you get it.
13:19It says he went here and then here.
13:21And then he decided not to go there.
13:22He went to the draft.
13:23We may get to see a rarity.
13:25Lucas Williamson at Loyola Chicago may make his debut today.
13:28As Hart connects on a corner three.
13:30And Williamson played five years in one school at Loyola.
13:34It's good to see Hart making a three after going one of six yesterday.
13:40Burton connects with Small up top.
13:42And I know they got a fingertip on that shot.
13:46Alvarado's been running the offense well.
13:48And, you know, we had to be double-teamed.
13:50Bridges hits a corner three.
13:52And a friendly spot for the Knicks the last two trips.
13:55And they've got a nine-point lead.
13:56Well, the Knicks are just imposing their physicality, their pace,
14:00their shooting, their spacing so far.
14:01This is a great sign in the first quarter coming off of three losses.
14:05There's Clayton who came here from Utah in the Jaron Jackson Jr. trade.
14:10He'll get the assist on a Burton three-quarter.
14:13Shooting 32% in his brief NBA career.
14:16But it brings it back to a six-point game.
14:18He led the team in scoring last game against Phoenix.
14:21They lost by 26.
14:22But they had some guys scored the ball.
14:23And you're seeing it.
14:24Still some guys in good rhythm.
14:26Passing side to Towns was tipped and saved by Burton.
14:31The team that likes to push the pace, as Steve told you, early in.
14:35An interesting finish there from Cedric Coward.
14:37It's hard to look at it at the rim, and he put it through.
14:40He just continues to, you know, talk about being encouraged by his vets
14:44and by his teammates to push the pace, to be aggressive to score.
14:47You can see it not necessarily looking like a great shot,
14:50but he's got the confidence to take it.
14:52Back to a four-point game.
14:57Knicks have not missed a three-pointer yet.
14:59Three for three.
15:00Hart from the elbow rattles it off.
15:03He looks comfortable out there.
15:05Like you said, it was one for six last game,
15:07but had five threes the game before against OKC.
15:09Now he's hitting threes in mid-range.
15:12Coward left it short.
15:13Cross for the offensive rebound.
15:15Knicks are eight of nine from the field right now,
15:17and a blocked shot on Coward underneath.
15:22Alvarado able to get Clayton off his feet.
15:24Now Towns to the rim and missed a left-hand layup.
15:28Alvarado pulls down the offensive rebound.
15:32Back inside to Towns.
15:33They're throwing two Grizzlies at him every time he touches him,
15:36and he's able to finish strong to force a Memphis timeout.
15:41New York 24, Memphis 16, looking to end the road trip with a win.
15:45They're five tenacious and loquacious, Josh.
15:48Hart very well aware of where the camera is.
15:52Now what do you think that look was?
15:54Josh Hart always engaging with the mascots of the opponent,
15:58trying to defeat them, and not just defeat them, humiliate them.
16:03Oh, he's grabbing a snack.
16:05That's what Mike and Ike.
16:07Josh Hart having some fun with a yuffin Knicks fan.
16:11What is Josh Hart not having fun, Mike?
16:13That's a great point, right?
16:14There you go, Bobby, ain't it?
16:16Oh!
16:20On Kids Day, I guess you're allowed to sit on the bench.
16:24Yeah.
16:24They are adorable.
16:25Get back out there.
16:26So the twin's going to need a babysitter on the bench.
16:29Crusoe going for the water from Hart.
16:31Hart got him back to the water.
16:36Hello, up close and personal.
16:38Only Josh Hart.
16:42Well, another year of Josh Hart hijinks.
16:45It's a well-put-together highlight tape,
16:48although it's not hard to find Josh Hart having fun at an NBA basketball court.
16:51No, it's not.
16:52And there is truly something to be said for the guys that bring that kind of joy and that kind
16:57of passion,
16:57because you hear it all the time.
16:58Oh, it needs to be a short season.
17:00It's a long year.
17:01There's so many ups and downs.
17:02When you have guys like that that make the process of basketball enjoyable,
17:06going to practice, going to shoot around, going to dinner, going to the games,
17:09it really makes it for a better experience when you're one of his teammates.
17:13I can speak to it having some pretty fun teammates myself.
17:16He's got a big promotion this year, too.
17:18He's the vice president of Candy Relations.
17:20Mike, you like something in that area?
17:22That's right.
17:23As Tyler Burton will draw a foul on Josh Hart and get into the free-throw line.
17:28But he really is the glue guy in so many different ways.
17:33You've seen him hit a three today, hit that mid-range jump shot.
17:35But it's easy to forget because the semifinals in Indiana, he had that finger issue,
17:42so the three-point numbers went down.
17:43He was about 40% from three across the first two rounds of the playoffs,
17:47and a big reason why the Knicks made that deep run.
17:49So if he's making it happen on the offensive end, this team really becomes dangerous.
17:53They really do, and he has shown this year that it's not going to be two or three games
17:57where he shoots well.
17:58And to your point, I think when he talked about, look, I'm not going to have surgery,
18:01I am having an issue with my finger, I'm just going to play through it, you thought,
18:04uh-oh, what does that mean?
18:05Is that going to affect his shot?
18:06And the answer is, yeah, it did.
18:08He shoots it better.
18:09So keep that finger broken or whatever's wrong with it.
18:12Keep taping it up and shooting it because 60% from three the last ten games,
18:18even though he was one for six last game.
18:21Think about that.
18:21He was 68% the previous nine.
18:23And so 40, 41, 42% almost all year is beautiful numbers going into the playoffs.
18:29Hart picked up a second foul the previous time down,
18:32but he'll stay out there along with Landry Schammett,
18:35his first appearance since March 20th.
18:38And Tyler Kolek in there as well with Jordan Clarkson, Hart and Towns.
18:42Love this lineup right now.
18:44Hart got fouled, I believe, by Burton.
18:47When Nick turnover, Adama ball into the game,
18:50the former Westchester Nick, and now a step back from Clayton.
18:54He's doing a lot of that for the national champs in Gainesville last year,
18:57and has made it a three-point game.
19:07Towns is two points so far.
19:09He'll hand to Kolek.
19:10Clarkson coming off a ten-point night.
19:14And in the corner for Hart.
19:16He'll drive baseline.
19:17Now Kolek with two to shoot.
19:19He's got room and connects.
19:20Tyler Kolek from downtown.
19:23Love seeing guys stay ready.
19:25That's what Coach Brown's philosophy's been.
19:27Keep guys in the mix.
19:28Keep giving them opportunities.
19:29And I love what guys deliver.
19:31Adama ball short arms the three.
19:34Is the 20th player from France to appear in at least one game this year?
19:40Which, of course, has had several.
19:44Towns fouled hard.
19:48Looks like Mayshack got a hand on him.
19:51Oh, one, two, one.
19:54Boy, you can just see that Cat is going to be a matchup nightmare.
19:57You saw early in the first quarter Memphis sending that double team over to him.
20:03Coach Brown has recently talked about how to react when teams are doubling their bigs versus doubling a guard.
20:10He's going to be a problem all night, but nice attack on this last possession.
20:13Now, Towns has had big finishes lately.
20:1718 of his 22 points came in the second half yesterday in Houston.
20:22And then he had that nine-point fourth quarter in OKC.
20:28After having just four points entering the frame.
20:36And the Knicks' best free throw shooter throughout the season.
20:4086% from the line, and he hits that one.

21:05You may be hearing that young man's voice.
21:07And he just realized he made regional television.
21:11If you make enough noise, hey, we'll put you on TV.
21:13He is cheering for the wrong team, although he's in the right arena if you have his home jersey on.
21:18But good to have context, though.
21:19It's good to have context.
21:20That is where that noise is coming from.
21:23This is Dejean Giroux with the ball on his second 10-day contract.
21:27He'll find Clayton.
21:30Shamit sticks with him.
21:31And now Burton on the other side.
21:33It's very good three.
21:34These rookies can shoot it.
21:36They're four out of eight from downtown, and the Grizzlies are hanging around.
21:39They are, and you just see, there's guys that are auditioning.
21:42They know what's at stake.
21:43No, they're not going to make the playoffs.
21:45The Grizzlies aren't even close, but they do want to play well and show what they can do.
21:50Good five from Towns, and Landry Shamit's on the board for the first time in the past six games.
21:55Love seeing him back out there.
21:56He brings such a spark, such an energy to this roster.
22:01Giroux will pull up for a floater.
22:03Didn't get the roll.
22:12Down to the screen from Clarkson, full head of steam, and all the way to the rim, plus a foul.
22:18You're going to see a lot of that all night.
22:20He's going to keep attacking.
22:21They don't have anybody that can physically match up with him.
22:25They're going to keep sending that double team.
22:27He's either going to have beautiful, tough finishes like this, or he's going to be surveying over the top.
22:32Finding whoever is the open shooter on the weak side, but so far, he's looking good.
22:38And replay brought to you by Buick.
22:40This is Buick Now.
22:42Buick, exceptional by design.
22:43See your local Buick dealer.
22:44Buick, buick, buick, buick, buick, buick, buick, buick.
22:52He has three assists already.
22:54Josh Hart has four, and now Towns is tied for the game high with seven points.
23:00The team high with OG and Anova.
23:01If you want to keep seeing that ball move, you know, if they're sending double teams,
23:04that means the ball should find the open man.
23:07That means assists.
23:08Ball back rims the corner three.
23:10Shamit lost it.
23:12And it's going back to the Grizzlies.
23:15That's one of those plays that would never happen if he was at rhythm,
23:18coming back in, trying to get those hands right.
23:20Got to use the right lotion, got to use the right heating pad.
23:23All of a sudden, you think you've got the ball going the other way,
23:25and that slips out of your hands out of bounds.
23:27The Towns will check in.
23:29We'll see Ariel Huckporty.
23:31First, let's call him non-garbage time minutes,
23:33came back on March 13th in the win at Indiana.
23:37What a nice opportunity for Huckporty here.
23:44Clayton working on Shamit.
23:47Out to Mayshack.
23:48And Clayton again.
23:51Burton.
23:52This hit one from there.
23:54A couple possessions are going.
23:55Huckporty pulled down the rebound.
23:56Almost threw it away, but that's off of Memphis.
24:01Knicks have a 10-point lead.
24:04Four out of four from downtown.
24:05They've missed just two shots all night.
24:11With the Caesars Sportsbook app,
24:13you can place your bets in just a few taps.
24:16It's made with New Yorkers in mind.
24:18It's direct, it's no nonsense,
24:20and it's the best way to join in on all the sports betting action.
24:28Caesars Sportsbook presents tonight's advanced statistics.
24:32Well, no surprise,
24:33but it's certainly helpful to have Jalen Brunson available.
24:35This is the Knicks record with and without their captain.
24:39No chance to go over .500 without Jalen Brunson
24:42in the Jalen Brunson era if they get a win tonight.
24:46Well, very telling of his value, of all that he does,
24:49and just beautiful to see that he's played so many games,
24:51and he's been so healthy, looks so good all years.
24:55We're having a nice stretch at a quieter game last game,
24:57but he's played in 70 of the 77.
25:00Nice move right there by Clarkson so far this year.
25:04Of course, Brunson had to miss most of Mark's last year
25:07with the ankle injury,
25:08so it was impressive just to get back
25:10to the final few games.
25:12An offensive foul called against Memphis here.
25:16And Brunson wasn't able to get back.
25:17He would not qualify for the All-NBA team,
25:20which, of course, he made.
25:21But this year he is certainly clear
25:24past the 65-game qualification.
25:27Now the Kolek run on the point.
25:29Jose Alvarado, meanwhile, did an excellent job
25:32at starting for Jalen Brunson so far.
25:35Three points, one assist in six minutes.
25:38Now the Knicks as a team are 13 of 15 from the field.
25:41Just two missed shots.
25:47And an over with two.
25:48Fine-hug 40, left-hand floater will go.
25:50Second opportunity, and he'll get to the free-throw line.
25:55And look, not the best offensive player on this team,
25:58but understands his role, knows where to be.
26:01Did a great job pursuing rebounds on the other end,
26:04out here setting screens.
26:05On this last possession,
26:07thought he got a pass too high
26:09to start the offense.
26:10He did a great job lowering his defender,
26:13getting it to where the guys could turn the corner,
26:15and he ended up being the role man that got him.
26:18Spencer and Jackson come in,
26:20and I have to say,
26:21there have been a lot of great improvements
26:22from Hug 40 from his rookie year to this season.
26:25The free throws really stand out,
26:27working so hard with shooting coach Peter Patton and company.
26:31He got 75% this year.
26:36Good-looking stroke.
26:37And he's able to power through the broadcaster jinx.
26:40I just set him up for a brick there.
26:42The Knicks are now on a 9-0 run.
26:44Right, it's good seeing him make those,
26:46and it is for a big guy to be able to make free throws
26:48really is valuable in the way they play.
26:51Clayton short on the three,
26:52and Shamit gets the rebound.
26:54There's a Colec, Clarkson, Shamit,
26:56Ananovia, and Hug 40 lineup.
26:58They go right back to Hug 40.
26:59And now Clarkson alley-oop off his left hand,
27:03and it'll make this one home.
27:05Four straight points for Hug 40.
27:07Definitely just finding a weakness
27:09in that grizzly defense as the interior
27:11saw Cat out there dominating,
27:12and now Hug down there getting it done.
27:15And it'll be poked that one three,
27:17but the fourth best three-point shooter in the league
27:19on an open look, and Cam Spencer took advantage.
27:23He is at 45% for the year.
27:27Hug 40 on the roll.
27:29Gets two more, and a trip to the free throw line.
27:33This grizzlies team has their work cut out for them
27:36no matter how early they rotate.
27:38Even if they're in the right spots,
27:39it's going to be one of the big fellas
27:41we've seen on pretty much every possession so far.
27:44Rolling at an advantage,
27:45then they have to double-team,
27:46then the weak side becomes an advantage
27:48because they doubled.
27:49Great job keeping his focus
27:51after missing his first two touches.
27:53He's not going to go with contact.
27:56It's a beautiful thing, that Hug 40 free throw.
27:58And Peter Patton, we always ask him about this.
28:00He says, I take no credit.
28:02It's all about the players putting in the work.
28:05But obviously, he's on to something.
28:07The shot doc.
28:09Get guys making shots.
28:10They'll love you forever.
28:12Clayton Travel.
28:15That was one of the requests Josh Hart made.
28:18Any chance we could bring in a shooting coach this year?
28:20And the Knicks obliged.
28:22And wouldn't you know,
28:23Josh Hart's having a career year from three at 41%.
28:26Well, and it's all about the results.
28:28When that's your job,
28:29your coach Patton and guys want to be better shooters,
28:32they either make more shots or they don't.
28:34And so, to your point,
28:35making more free throws,
28:36Josh Hart making more three-point shots,
28:38what he's doing works,
28:40and that's what it's about.
28:42Kolek able to penetrate.
28:43And Anobi out to Shamit.
28:45And now Clarkson.
28:46Ball fake.
28:47And a layup for Clarkson.
28:49He's used that ball fake a couple of times on drives.
28:52And he's got four points.
28:56Final half-minute first quarter.
28:59Knicks are 16 of 20 from the field.
29:06Clayton's had some trouble getting around Landry Shamit here in the first.
29:09Now it's Spencer.
29:11Up top.
29:11Clayton for three.
29:13That's good.
29:14They're not going away.
29:15You can see they're spreading the floor.
29:17They're playing the right way.
29:18They're doing a lot of drive-in kick,
29:19trying to get overloaded sides,
29:21make this Knicks defense work.
29:22But the Knicks offense so far has been their best defense.
29:24Shamit gets an open look and hits a three.
29:28There it is, baby.
29:31It is a season high in any quarter this year
29:35for the Knicks.
29:3648 points in 12 minutes
29:38for a team that's been held to 103 or below
29:42in the first three games of this road trip.
29:44And it looks like the Knicks offense is back.
29:47And they've got a 48-30 lead over the Grizzlies.
29:51Looking to wrap up this road trip with a W here in Memphis tonight.
30:00Knicks basketball is presented by Chase.
30:03What a first quarter it was for the Knicks.
30:0648 points, a season high.

30:2448 points, just passing their 47-point effort against Utah.
30:31Where they had that historic start to that game with 23-0 runs.
30:36Spencer over to Jackson.
30:39And he'll rip the cords on a three-pointer.
30:41Gigi Jackson, a real late-season star for this Grizzlies team.
30:47All the Knicks 5-for-5 from three in that first quarter.
30:49But we just see on that first possession, the Grizz actually made seven threes.
30:54They've shot 14, so only shooting at half the percentage.
30:57But they're making a bunch of women that can keep committed at this point.
31:01Muhammad DOR with his first touch.
31:03Back inside to Huck-Porty.
31:05He's been tough to stop.
31:06How about the spin move?
31:07And missed it short.
31:11Coward looking around.
31:13He'll find an open shooter.
31:14That's Devon Small, but he passes up the shot.
31:16And he got fouled himself.
31:22And although this Memphis team's record shows they are not a very good team,
31:27they do play in a way that clearly they're energized.
31:32They're playing with joy.
31:33They're moving the ball.
31:34They're playing the right way.
31:36They know they are auditioning.
31:38And there's a lot of people watching.
31:39And they're trying to still do a great job.
31:41They've got some really exciting guys, so you just got to keep that defense locked in.
31:46Small missed the first free throw, but he currently leads all rookies in three-point percentage.
31:50So our Cadillac trivia question today is who's the only Knick to lead all NBA rookies in three-point percentage
31:57in a single season?
31:58For your answer using hashtag Cadillac trivia.
32:03Fourteen-point game is small got the second.
32:06And if you talk about all these two-way deals and ten-day contracts, guys trying to prove themselves.
32:13It reminds you of a couple Sundays ago against Golden State as Tyler Kolek misses the three.
32:17Huckporty, the offensive rebound, and a touch pass went astray.
32:21It was a warrior scene that was so injured that he had a lot of similar players as Memphis is
32:29really trying to piece together this end-of-season roster.
32:32And I think when it's clear what the approach is, that you're trying to get guys better, you're truly about
32:37development,
32:37and it being about the future, there can be buy-in.
32:40It's not about the playoffs this year.
32:42Huckporty got to that shot clean.
32:44What a block from Ariel Huckporty as Gigi Jackson had bad intentions.
32:48And they're going to say it's off of Memphis that might change.
32:51Let's see.
32:52Just a great job by Huckporty so far playing some really good minutes.
32:56His presence has been felt.
32:58He's been finding the mismatches on the offensive end, on defense.
33:01Vertical, getting blocked, pursuing rebounds, really quality minutes for him.
33:05They did indeed change that call, so it stays with the Grizzlies.
33:10Jackson flashing open underneath, but it'll be stuck with him.
33:14So it's Spencer instead.
33:18Spencer had his arm tied up with Bridges.
33:20They'll call the offensive foul.
33:26He might have taken a little look at how Carl Anthony Towns likes to do the little wrap-up sometimes,
33:30always getting himself in trouble with that.
33:33Thankfully, it's someone on the bad guy's team tonight.
33:36Haven't seen it as often lately from Towns, but he had a reputation, certainly, for those offensive grabs.
33:43Bridges took a hit, threw it up and in.
33:46Three-point play on virginity for Mikael Bridges.
33:49What a tough finish.
33:51Clearly, Cam Spencer said, nope, I'm going to take a foul here and just run you off with my body.
33:57And good job off of one foot getting pushed.
34:00And talk about having a little bit of touch.
34:02That's nice.
34:04A replay brought to you by Motorola Razor.
34:08And it's four for four from the field.
34:10He made his only three-point attempt, and now perfect from the free-throw line.
34:14Mikael Bridges, a game-high ten points.
34:19Obviously, a few more shots to go around with Jalen Brunson out with right-ankled Sordas.
34:26As Prosper misses a left-hand layup.
34:28Ariel Huck-Porty, a team-high five field goal attempts, but Bridges right there with four.
34:33Well, I mean, when you shoot it off the backboard of the rim, you go up and get an offensive
34:36rebound,
34:36you shoot it again.
34:37I mean, you get your reps up.
34:39Reminds me of a guy I played against in college, Aaron Gray.
34:42Used to throw it off the glass, get it.
34:44Throw it off the glass, get it.
34:44If you'd have 15 offensive boards, you'd go, it was in three possessions.
34:49I thought you were going to say, you remember playing against Wally Zerbiak,
34:52who was trashing you for lack of rebounds, but you had quite the response on our pregame show today.
34:57Yeah, Wally was saying my rebounding stature as an NBA player wasn't impressive to him.
35:04I told him I was busy doing other things.
35:05I was hitting threes.
35:06I was putting on invisible belts.
35:08I don't have time to rebound.
35:10Got guys for that.
35:12Guys like Amari Stoudemire.
35:13Congrats to him going to the Hall of Fame because he rebounded so much.
35:17That's a skill.
35:18He did more than rebound, obviously.
35:20But, I mean, obviously, if I would have been pursuing those boards,
35:23there wouldn't have been as many for him.
35:24And who knows, he might not have made the Hall of Fame.
35:26I've come to know you're a very selfless teammate, Steve Norton.
35:30There is Kolek with a nice ball fake and a fadeaway jumper.
35:35I just love seeing him get going.
35:37I think he's shown the world over and over as the Biggie's Player of the Year,
35:41how good he is with this Knicks team.
35:43He's had big games.
35:44And what about a 42-point night for the Westchester Knicks?
35:49And then he came to the New York Knicks and scored 11 later that game.
35:53Didn't miss a shot.
35:54He's just got a level.
35:55And you're hot.
35:56You're hot.
35:57Diorara on the baseline drive.
35:59Strong take from Muhammad Diorara.
36:01Good to see him get some quality minutes.
36:03Keep his rhythm.
36:04And, again, right along with Coach Brown's philosophy,
36:07keeping these guys in the mix,
36:09keeping them in rhythm for whenever they are needed,
36:12for whatever minutes they're needed.
36:13Spencer lost the handle.
36:15Diorara showing off the open court speed all the way to the rim for another two.
36:20Tomas Isolo needs timeout.
36:22The Knicks extending the lead to 19.
36:26And the offense is clicking with Muhammad Diorara lately leading the way.
36:31Well, this is what you call a get-right game,
36:33and there is a long way still to go,
36:35but a lot of guys doing a lot of good things,
36:38making shots, playing some defense, being unselfish,
36:41playing the way you knew this team would.
36:48The recent Thank You NYPD concert held at Madison Square Garden
36:52will become an annual celebration to recognize the New York City Police Department.
36:56A check for $500,000 was presented to the New York City Police Foundation
37:00to innovate and enhance the quality of NYPD services,
37:03build bridges with the community,
37:05and make our city a safer place to live, work, and visit.
37:08To learn more about the Thank You NYPD initiative launched by MSG Entertainment,
37:13visit msg.com slash nypd.
37:16Here's a corner three in the first NBA shot from Lucas Williamson.
37:21That's her five years in college at Loyola, Chicago.
37:25Bridges from the corner.
37:26That's a three.
37:29Playing the way that you knew this team would make 22 threes,
37:33shot 55 of them back in November when these two teams matched up,
37:36so looking kind of similar right now.
37:38G.G. Jackson with some speed inside.
37:44Third year out of South Carolina,
37:46and because of the injuries and the roster crunch,
37:49he's pretty much the most experienced player at age 21.
37:53The alert inside, hands it off underneath to Towns.
37:58And a third time to charge.
38:01He was not going to end that possession without getting a bucket.
38:03But that was some beautiful interior passing,
38:06and Colick just orchestrating, telling him,
38:08screen in, swinging the ball around,
38:09and some great extra passes.
38:12Nine points, four rebounds, three assists for Towns.
38:15Jackson from the baseline, gets two more.
38:18Tough finish for G.G. Jackson, who won the foul.
38:21He's showing some things.
38:22Ooh, wow.
38:23Colock got clocked, trying to split a double team.
38:28He's the kind of guy, I think he likes that.
38:31He's the kind of, you know, you have a friend that,
38:33you know, everything's fine,
38:35and then he gets hit in the face,
38:37and then he's really ready to go.
38:38I think Tyler Colick is that guy,
38:40where he's having a good time, he's playing hard,
38:42but he hit him like that one time,
38:44we might see a different Tyler Colick.
38:45He got fouled by his college teammate,
38:48Omax Prosper, who reached in.
38:50They're pretty good together.
38:51One of the big East.
38:55Towns lost it on the baseline.
38:57It comes to Small.
38:58Threads the needle for William Soon,
39:00who has his first NBA basket.
39:03Shambon thought he was in a great spot.
39:05He was reading it, took a chance,
39:06and went for it, but just too good a pass.
39:12It's by 18.
39:17Colock.
39:19Shambon swings it to Bridges.
39:21He's been hot tonight.
39:23Offensive rebound for Colock.
39:24Right back inside for Towns.
39:26Works his way in, backs it home, plus a foul.
39:30And if you know the rules in the NBA,
39:33you cannot be in that restricted area,
39:35even if you get run over.
39:37It's a foul on the defense.
39:40Carl Anthony Towns saying,
39:42I'm the big boy out here.
39:43It's going to be my game.
39:45Trying to make sure this team gets right,
39:46but we keep this 20-point lead.
39:48Nice, strong finish.
39:48The Grizzlies have challenged the call.
39:51For now, it's a three-point play for Carl Anthony Towns.
39:54We'll see if that stands when we come back.
39:58With the Caesar Sportsbook app,
39:59you can place your bets in just a few taps.
40:02It's made with New Yorkers in mind.
40:04It's direct, it's no nonsense,
40:06and it's the best way to join in
40:08on all the sports betting action.
40:15Well, the Knicks just got the bad news from Tyler Ford.
40:18It's an offensive foul on Carl Anthony Towns,
40:21who's asking for further explanation
40:22from the crew chief right now.
40:24And we'll take a look.
40:25And unfortunately, I think it's the right call.
40:27That's a great bump,
40:28but coming in high like that,
40:30going to continue to protect the player
40:32when they get hit in the chin above the shoulders like that.
40:34And he is in the restricted after that first bump.
40:37Can't hit him right where he wanted him,
40:38but a little too much.
40:39Hitting him in the chin.
40:42So second foul on Towns.
40:44Take two off the board for the Knicks.
40:46Coward can't hit the three,
40:48and Towns gets his fifth rebound.
40:51Alvarado tonight's starting point guard is back in.
40:53If you missed it, Jalen Brunton is out
40:55with right ankle soreness.
40:57Deuce McBride and Mitchell Robinson
40:58not playing second night of a back-to-back.
41:00If Landry Shamit gets loose,
41:01he's got seven points in eight minutes.
41:03And a great position by Landry to get under the basket
41:07to keep the spacing where the defense isn't allowed Cat to operate.
41:10Great job passing it by him tonight.
41:13Coward, a strong tank, and a finish.
41:19Coward's got six.
41:22Last time the Knicks saw him in November,
41:24he was on pace to be a 50-40-90 guy,
41:26but a lot more attention paid to him
41:29with so many injuries,
41:31and Hart threw it away.
41:34Tipped it loose on the Mayshack pass.
41:36Coward tried to save it,
41:37but it's Towns with a long pass over the top of Bridges.
41:41And the Grizzlies will take over.
41:44Coach Brown is right in front of us.
41:45Let's cap through that pass,
41:47and he could tell he didn't even mind.
41:48I think he likes it.
41:49Keep pushing the pace against these guys.
41:51Take some chances.
41:52Look for your guys.
41:55And that one just overthrew it a little bit.
41:56Seventh Knick turnover.
42:00Coward now pulls up,
42:02and hits the mid-range jump.
42:05Got a smooth game.
42:06He really does.
42:07He's all around.
42:08Reads with his defense.
42:10Nice little mid-range shot.
42:11That last three-pointer didn't look so good,
42:12but he continues to look for his shot.
42:17Towns facing up on Mayshack.
42:19Bridges with the slam.
42:21The Kiela Bridges have taken it right to the Grizzlies today.
42:24He's got a game-high 15 points.
42:30Now it's Giroux.
42:32Out to Adama Ball for a rainbow three.
42:35You can see, you've got to stay close.
42:38They're looking to shoot it aggressively,
42:39and tonight they're making them.
42:40The rookie from France,
42:42and now Schammett rattles in a quarter three.
42:46Just think about the game that Deuce McBride came back
42:49against Oklahoma City.
42:51Guard Shea Gilchrist Alexander on the first possession.
42:53Think about coming back for Landry Schammett
42:56against the Memphis Grizzlies.
42:57A totally different get-right comeback game.
43:00He really challenged himself, didn't he, Deuce?
43:02He was like, I want to go guard Shea Gilchrist first possession.
43:04And he got a block on that play.
43:05He did.
43:08Towns trying to rip it through Mayshack.
43:10That looks like a Donovan Mitchell move developing.
43:13Now it's ball off the dribble.
43:16Underneath, surrounded by Knicks,
43:17so he finds a wide-open Mayshack,
43:19who hits his three with a black mask on for a nasal fracture.
43:23He will force a Mike Brown timeout
43:25as the Grizzlies are back within 15.
43:27They are.
43:28They're doing it with their offense.
43:29You can see right there,
43:30looked like they had a wide-open layup,
43:32but instead, just keep moving,
43:35keep spacing,
43:36finding their shooters.
43:37They are knocking down some threes.
43:40Made it a 15-point game.

43:57Grizzlies hanging around here.
43:59They're 9 out of 18 from 3,
44:01and the Knicks have seen a bit of a regression
44:03in three-point defense during the last 10 games.
44:06Opponent shooting 38% from beyond the arc.
44:10Alvarado slashing,
44:11and he'll get to the free-throw line
44:12as this impact continues to impress
44:14and a spot start.
44:16I think just,
44:17you really heard come out of the locker room
44:19after last night's game in Houston.
44:20Better communication,
44:21better effort,
44:22and obviously this is a different team,
44:24a different matchup,
44:25but there is no question
44:26that is what it's going to,
44:28that's what's going to take away
44:29this Memphis three-point shooting
44:30is crisp communication,
44:32some extra efforts,
44:34understanding,
44:35yes,
44:35sometimes when you take something away,
44:37you've got to give something up right now.
44:38Nine threes,
44:39even though the Knicks are shooting well,
44:40they've made seven of nine threes.
44:42Got to take that away
44:43in order to put these guys away.
44:45Obviously, a lot of game to play,
44:46but that's the key right now.
44:48Gets both free throws,
44:50and you saw those stats
44:51from his only other start.
44:53That was home against Indiana
44:54as Clayton works his way to the rim.
44:56Of course,
44:57Alvarado wanted his introduction
44:59not to be his college Georgia Tech.
45:01He wanted Mike Walsh,
45:03the PA announcer to say
45:04from Christ the King High School
45:06in Brooklyn
45:07as Shamit misses the hook shot.
45:09A hometown love.
45:12It's in the Queens.
45:13He grew up in Brooklyn,
45:14but he was certainly proud of that.
45:16Knicks fans have taken to him.
45:22De'John Giroux marked by Hart.
45:26Wrong three from Tyler Burton,
45:28and Inouye gets the rebound.
45:36Hart looking to pass.
45:43He's at a 74-point first half
45:46against the Grizzlies in November.
45:48Looking at one of that tonight.
45:49And Jose Alvarado
45:50has seven first-half points.
45:52My possession just reminded me
45:54of the Dwight Howard Orlando Magic.
45:56Bunch of shooters around him.
45:57Big fella down low.
45:58Cat was working.
45:59They were looking for him,
46:00and he opened it up
46:01for Alvarado to get a nice,
46:03easy path
46:03because he was sealing
46:04his guy off.
46:08Just moving the ball,
46:09looking in the interior.
46:10Look what opened up
46:11because Cat's down there
46:12sealing his guy.
46:13Did a great job.
46:16Slip past it.
46:17Towns right to the rim.
46:18Carl Anthony Towns
46:20with the right hand.
46:22I know you opened it up
46:24for me last time.
46:25Here, I got one for you.
46:2611 points for Towns.
46:28Put on the line there.
46:29Missed anyway for Ball.
46:31Offensive rebound,
46:32Mayshack,
46:33and he just fell down.
46:37Hart with his head up.
46:43Mixed by 19.
46:45Our largest lead has been 22.
46:49Just look at how the offense
46:50leaves the middle open
46:52and you cut through.
46:52You've got to get back out
46:53to create space.
46:54And look what that gets you.
46:56All that great spacing.
46:57Too easy for Carl Anthony Towns.
47:00Imposing his will
47:01on this young Grizzlies roster.
47:0313 points for Cat.
47:05And the Knicks are up by 21.
47:07And he has asserted himself.
47:09He's making his presence felt.
47:11He's posting up and finding mismatches.
47:13His teammates are looking for him.
47:15Beautiful dunk right there.
47:17It doesn't seem like
47:19he's going to stop anytime soon.
47:21He's trying to rip that rim off.
47:22Got a couple offensive fouls.
47:23Doesn't care because he's playing
47:24with some attitude.
47:25The bench is loving it.
47:27Three losses in a row.
47:28They've got to get this one.
47:29They're playing like they know it.
47:31He is on a triple-double pace,
47:33as you can see.
47:34And even though this isn't necessarily
47:36the Oklahoma City Thunder,
47:38that would have been a great win
47:39on Sunday.
47:40But even against an opponent like this,
47:42have you seen, Steve,
47:42in your career,
47:44a game like this,
47:45be able to galvanize your team
47:46at this time of the season?
47:48Absolutely.
47:49And to your point,
47:49no one thinks that playing
47:50the Memphis Grizzlies
47:51and playing OKC
47:52is the same thing.
47:52Obviously,
47:53that was a great barometer game
47:54to see where this team is at.
47:56And look,
47:56after the game,
47:57there's some honest conversation
47:58about, look,
47:59we've got to improve
48:00on some things.
48:00It's got to be better
48:01in the communication department.
48:03I thought that OKC game,
48:04the effort was great.
48:05It was right there
48:06down at the end.
48:07But to your point,
48:08making some shots,
48:09feeling good,
48:09winning together,
48:10always a good thing.

48:24Well, Tyler,
48:24I don't want to put any pressure
48:25on these guys,
48:26but they're still playing
48:27to have the highest scoring
48:29first half of the night
48:30because the Boston Celtics
48:32against Miami score
48:33of 80 points
48:34in the first half.
48:35Two minutes,
48:3620 seconds left,
48:3777 points.
48:37No pressure, fellas,
48:39but, you know,
48:40nobody likes those Celtics,
48:41so let's see if we can
48:41score more than them
48:42in the first half.
48:43I wonder who gave you
48:44that scoreboard update.
48:46There's Clayton up top.
48:47He dropped it.
48:48It winds up with Dejan Geroen.
48:50Now back to Clayton.
48:51And in the corner,
48:53Macek.
48:55Rebound hard.
49:01Valvarado run in the court.
49:03This is the starting five
49:04tonight.
49:07Towns, he's been getting
49:08whatever he wants lately.
49:10And it'll be in the corner.
49:12He drives baseline.
49:13Overpowering Burton
49:13all the way to the rim,
49:14but he's stripped underneath.
49:20Now it's Burton.
49:22Layup goes over Bridges.
49:25And that's going to be
49:27Memphis' best chances
49:28to push the pace.
49:29The three-point shooting
49:30has been good,
49:31but them playing
49:32against the non-set
49:33Knicks defense
49:34is their best chance.
49:36Pass to Alvarado
49:37off target.
49:38It's Geroen
49:39to bring it in.
49:42He gave it right
49:43to Alvarado.
49:45Second steal
49:46for the big point guard.
49:49And Anobi underneath
49:50somehow tipped it loose,
49:52but it's ripped away
49:53by Masha.
49:54Final minute,
49:55first half.
50:04And Anobi couldn't
50:05steal it,
50:05so Geroen
50:06takes it inside
50:07and scores,
50:07plus a foul.
50:09And a frustrating
50:10night for Dejan
50:11Geroen,
50:11but he's able
50:12to get that one to go
50:13as Anobi's grabbing
50:14his wrist.
50:15Yeah,
50:16you don't like
50:16seeing that,
50:17especially in a possession
50:17like that.
50:18That was back and forth.
50:20You can tell
50:21all ten guys
50:22on the court
50:22were hoping
50:23that that possession
50:24was a foul or a stop,
50:26but watch right here.
50:27This is where
50:28Anobi came up
50:29holding his hand
50:30up,
50:30not his wrist in there.
50:31Not sure if it got caught
50:33or he banged it on something,
50:34but hopefully that's all right.
50:37Seven points
50:38in 17 minutes
50:39tonight for Anobi.
50:40He started the game
50:41with a dunk
50:42and got fouled
50:43on a three-point shot.
50:44Made all three
50:45three foul shots.
50:48And he will walk
50:49with head trainer
50:50Anthony Gowanaga
50:51back toward the locker room.
50:55Now with just one minute
50:56left in the half,
50:58maybe just a precautionary measure.
51:00Everyone's going back
51:00to the locker room
51:01in a minute anyway.
51:02I think he stayed
51:03on the bench,
51:03which will be a better son.
51:08Bridges from the corner,
51:10front rim
51:11missed,
51:11offensive rebound Towns.
51:14Heading his time
51:15with 10 to shoot.
51:16Double-team comes,
51:17pass to Bridges,
51:17and he got fouled.
51:21Really fun to watch
51:23the way
51:24Cap
51:24has his eyes up
51:26every time he catches it.
51:27He's looking for the white jerseys
51:29that are finding
51:30those gaps.
51:30He's looking for the white jerseys.
51:31You're right,
51:32Steve.
51:32He's going to stand
51:33on the bench here,
51:33which is obviously
51:34a good sign.
51:36Oh, there it is.
51:38Jordan Clarkson
51:38putting the magic on.
51:40You saw that?
51:41Athletic trainer
51:42Anthony Gowanaga.
51:43Jordan's secret stuff.
51:44You saw that?
51:45If that works,
51:46there's going to be
51:46a lot of people
51:47lining up to talk
51:48to Jordan Clarkson.
51:49I'll tell you that right now.
51:51He just gave them
51:53the missile fix
51:54in here.
51:55Sprinkle this here
51:55a little magic.
51:58Towns will check out
51:59for VOR.
52:02If there was a guy
52:04on the Knicks roster
52:05that did have
52:06some kind of
52:08superpower,
52:09I would think
52:10it would be Jordan Clarkson.
52:11I mean, look at the guy.
52:11Looks like a magician.
52:15Jalen Brunson
52:16said he's got
52:16the best aura
52:17in the NBA.
52:19It was way back
52:20in the preseason
52:21and we've seen
52:22no evidence
52:23of the contrary
52:24since then.
52:32It's a season high
52:33for points
52:34in the first half
52:35for the Knicks.
52:35They're at 79
52:36and Alvarado
52:38going to get called
52:38for the foul.
52:42Not happy with that.
52:43This is who he is.
52:44This is what he does.
52:45He's up taking
52:46his airspace away
52:47making sure
52:48it wasn't going
52:48to be an easy one.
52:50He's fouled
52:51a lot of guys
52:52on purpose
52:52and I think on that one
52:53he was planning
52:54to move his feet
52:54not foul
52:55just make it tough
52:56on him.
52:56He's not happy
52:57with Tyler Ford
52:58right now.
53:00I just love
53:01watching
53:02the referees
53:03keep their cool
