24:51baseline or even just try and get
24:52it past the pitcher on the right
24:54side of the infield there on the
24:55infield grass so if you execute
24:58it as an offense it's very hard
24:59to defend and the only really
25:01way to defend it is if any can
25:02get off that bag aggressively.
25:07No need to do it now with two
25:08strikes so good awareness on
25:10that's been his part now two
25:11strikes just a normal hold them
25:13on shuffle your feet get ready
25:14ground ball though play good
25:37ball good spot check swing no
25:41swing Mike Molinski is the umpire
25:43at first see that look at the
25:48check swing I mean held up I
25:53don't really know right the
25:54check swing is a tough call
25:55nowadays because you don't know
25:56whether the barrel goes or if
25:57he's attempting to swing but he

26:02subjective when you talk to
26:03different umpires about what they
26:05look at when they're umpiring
26:06third or first someone will say
26:08you know did the bat cross the
26:10front plane of the plate some
26:12umpires will use the baseline you
26:14know did the bat cross the first
26:16baseline if you're the umpire at
26:18first we've got action three two
26:20right here one out good chance
26:21nope no running and falter gets a
26:24big strikeout with a runner at
26:26third in less than two outs and
26:27that's four for him in three
26:29innings great pitch for the
26:32strikeout needed to strike out
26:33Eli White's pretty fast so it's
26:34not a good chance you double
26:35him up and see that splitter
26:37spin just falling off the table
26:38not your typical change up has the
26:40same type of action but you see
26:42the grip there it's a great pitch
26:44to compensate that fastball at
26:45the top of the zone first and
26:48third situations right there less
26:50than two outs teams usually like
26:51to run and stay out of the
26:52double play but the Braves are
26:54playing a conservative right now

37:16baseball and into the big leagues
37:17we're seeing good zip on that

37:24I got to meet Alex Lang when he
37:26was in high school at Lee Summit
37:27probably about 30 years ago when
37:29he was 27 years old but he's
37:31always been a big time prospect
37:32we played on same summer teams
37:35and we know the talents there we
37:36know the velocity we know the
37:37break on the curveball is all in
37:39there it's just a matter of him
37:40being healthy and this is a
37:42promising outing for him right
37:43now because when we're looking
37:44at the velocity and the break
37:45on that curveball looks like
37:47he's pretty healthy and I did
37:49confirm with him last night
37:50Ryan at the workout that he
37:51was going to wear the
37:51turtleneck again nasty change
37:54up no sleeve turtleneck I
37:56always remember him coming out
37:57of that bullpen Detroit that big
37:58turtleneck coming out big
38:00nasty breaking ball closing
38:02games I said we busted out again
38:03he goes oh yeah believe me and not
38:11to get too much in the
38:12reflection and the fields and
38:13all that type of thing but these
38:15guys have to sit a full season
38:16out it's got to feel good for
38:18everyone that was involved and
38:19Alex getting back to recovery
38:21back to getting on major league
38:23regular season action getting on

38:54us so Salvi's encouraged back

39:00James Shields was traded to the
39:03Royals and he had his press
39:04conference at Coffman Stadium
39:05and he was asked about pitching
39:06to Salvador Perez and what he
39:08admired pitching for the Rays
39:10and watching Salvi is that he's
39:12working hard behind the plate no
39:14matter what the score is and
39:16I remember James said that you
39:18know there's two outs nobody on
39:20base seven to one game in the
39:22eighth inning and there's a ball
39:23in the dirt and Salvi's
39:24blocking it like the tying runs
39:25at third base you know that just
39:27no let up never as far as
39:30physical effort emotional effort
39:34so he knows how important this
39:35is for Alex Lang and the Royals so
39:37he's cheering him right to the
39:39end and with some help from
39:41Salvi Alex Lang in his first
39:43appearance as a Royal has a one
39:45two three eighth inning bark at

41:55the adjustments you make at
41:56this level that you really
41:57don't have to make it any
41:58other level so Caggs is going
42:00through it all and he had a
42:01great WBC making those right
42:03adjustments so it's now it's
42:04about being consistent good
42:07adjustment right there and
42:09continuing to make those
42:10adjustments you continue to do
42:11those right decisions and
42:13that's what's going to be the
42:14long term success right there
42:16that leads for Jack Caglione
42:20one don't waste these at bats down
42:21six one out took a little off
42:32three sliders right out of the
42:33gate so that should be no
42:35surprise to him based on what
42:37the league picked up on him
42:38last year I'll never forget how
42:41hard I will never forget how
42:43hard this game is and it is not
42:44getting any easier because it's
42:46spin spin spin good take to the
42:52one before kind of went up and
42:53down that one a little more
42:55slurry to the back foot so
42:57again different velocity

43:13anybody else as far as players

44:30walks and a hit batter and you
44:31two hits in the first three innings
44:33Sale got some big double plays and
44:36that really was the end of any
44:39Royals momentum tonight that's
44:43popped up and it will be Olsen
44:47bringing it down and game one goes
