00:05depot in Wakefield. The purpose-built facility forms part of the Weaver Network
00:10which aims to create a leading transport system for West Yorkshire. The West
00:15Yorkshire Combined Authority has applied to locate the facility at Wakefield
00:20Council's former transport depot at Newton Bar. The proposed development
00:25includes parking and charging areas for up to 125 buses and a two-storey main
00:31building providing office space and a maintenance workshop. A separate building
00:36for bus cleaning is also planned. Work could begin in the summer and the depot
00:41could be operational by 2028.
