00:02hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel i am back today with another okay today's day six
00:09of our 45 days of encouragement and inspiration where i'm going to try to encourage you enlighten
00:17you in this day and age where everybody is just you know want you so scared so afraid
00:24no optimism i'm here to do the opposite and work against that agenda so i'm going to be sharing
00:31with you for the next 45 days just little tidbits of things that have i have learned things that
00:38worked in my life you don't know who i am i'm mary jane and i am a full-time traveler
00:44who's been on a
00:45mission to visit every country in the world for like eight and a half years i've been to 139
00:51countries i'm still trying to finish this goal we have 60 countries left i think i can do it
00:57despite what's going on i do believe i can finish this mission and i've been fundraising for it
01:04simultaneously so for 45 days i'm going to try to raise my entire gofundme in these 45 days does
01:11that make sense okay so i'm shouting you guys out by name every single day uh the people who donate

02:38really want to touch on things that i feel like are affecting people the most and one thing i feel
02:43like god has been giving me personal like if you asked me what if you said mary jane what is

02:50dealing with you about right now i would tell you immediately god has been dealing with me about my focus
03:00100 god has been like there's this meme i don't know if i'll be able to find it
03:05but um it's so good and it's like kevin hart and he's like
03:13and like there's a meme where it says like this is the holy spirit trying to get you to
03:17stay focused like we humans we can't focus for
03:25an hour 20 minutes our our focus has been shot in 2025 and is a huge problem we can't focus
03:35on
03:35anything um so that's what i want to talk about on today's video focus would heal your life focus
03:44would answer your prayers focus would bring you your goals focus would bring you peace focus would
03:52keep you out of trouble focus oh is
03:58it's one of those things where it works itself out you don't need miracles you don't need prayers
04:05answered i mean we all need prayers answered but there's a lot of prayers we wouldn't even need
04:09answered focus would get us the results we're looking for but we're not focused we are everywhere
04:15but where we should be our focus is on so many like one thing that breaks my heart is like
04:21so much
04:22of our lives these days are so wasted hours of our day goes to netflix hours of our day goes
04:32to go to
04:32stupid shows like bridgerton or stranger things or love island i haven't seen it well i have seen
04:41stranger things but i haven't seen anything else because you know why i have goals i have dreams i
04:47have trauma i need healed i i've got things i need to get done i've got books i need to
04:53write i've got
04:53these goals that are not going to sort themselves out what are we doing you guys what are we doing
04:59that we feel so privileged that we can waste hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours
05:08of
05:09our life to netflix instagram the latest scandal on tiktok or whatever the latest whatever everybody's
05:18doing or saying on the internet it has nothing to do with you it will never have anything to do
05:24with
05:24you or skip social media maybe it's a guy maybe there's a relationship that's taking so much of your
05:30time and energy a guy broke your heart a girl broke your heart you can't get over it you can't
05:35stop
05:36stalking them on instagram you can't stop talking about them you can't it's just like one thing do
05:41you know like did you ever play the game when you were a kid i feel like i know the
05:46enemy's agenda i
05:47know the devil's agenda because it's so clear do you know that game i don't know if you play this
05:53when
05:53you're a kid but me and my siblings played it where we would have to be turned in a circle
05:58like a bunch
05:58of times and then you have okay so you're being turned in a circle a bunch of times and then
06:04you
06:05stop and you have to walk in a straight line it's literally impossible you can't do it like after
06:10your turn so many times me and my siblings used to play this i hope i'm explaining this right
06:14but then we'd stop turning and then it's like now walk in a straight line and you can't do it
06:18your brain is all that's exactly what the enemy's doing with us exactly he puts so many things in
06:26front of you your brain is so many different places during the day that you don't get one
06:33good thing done not one good thing there is an amazing author i believe her name is joyce something
06:42i'll put her name on the screen but she uh she's one of the most world-renowned successful authors
06:47in the history of authors she is a she won a nobel peace prize and she is just a powerhouse
06:55in the author space she is an amazing woman and she said she was going through a divorce
07:02that's when she started writing books she was a single mom going through a divorce she had two
07:07kids two young kids and she said she was going through hell hell and heartbreak unbelievable hell
07:15and heartbreak and simultaneously having to raise these two boys she said she was in i think her 40s
07:20or 50s and she said you know what i'm not gonna let the devil ruin me like this like it's
07:26my mind
07:26i'm gonna take control and she said she started waking up at five o'clock in the morning because
07:32it's like the only time she had like to be free and she started writing she's like i believe that
07:38i
07:38have a gift to write and everything was taking her away from that gift sadness was taking her away
07:44her kids were taking her away and she said finally i said you know what i'm not gonna allow life
07:50to
07:50steal from me anymore i believe i'm meant to i have a gift of writing she started going into her
07:56closet
07:56at five o'clock in the morning and she would write for three or four hours right right right she's
08:01like
08:01i'm not gonna focus on my divorce and how heartbroken i am i'm not gonna focus on how tired
08:06i am with my babies raising my babies i'm gonna get up at 5 a.m i'm gonna do two
08:10or three hours of
08:11writing you get you know what this is focus and discipline and we're gonna start there do you know
08:19this woman goes on to be one of the greatest writers of all time one of the highest paid black
08:26female powerhouses because of what when she decided to focus is where she got the fruit of her life the
08:34fruit of all the stuff she receives now and the thing is life is going to throw everything at
08:41you to take your focus everything there's going to be in as soon as you wake up you guys as
08:48soon as
08:49you wake up there are a million things lined up for you to focus on why because companies want money
08:56and they know money comes from consumerism all they need is you all they need is you as a lawyer
09:03loyal consumer that's what the netflix ceo said the netflix ceo said all i need is people's
09:10attention i just need their brain i need them like and i make tons and tons and tons of money
09:16instagram tiktok you have to understand these platforms are built for you they are built so
09:23that all you have to do is consume all day long all day long and you are absolutely benefiting them
09:29you're not benefiting yourself though almost not at all it would be way better for us
09:35to have way less dopamine way less entertainment and more focus in our lives than we could ever
09:42imagine and i'm not just talking about um social media of course those are the big they're the big
09:49guys social media um whatever platform it is um netflix whatever right but there's other time
09:58wasters partying drinking being involved with a person in a very toxic there's nothing more toxic
10:04than a toxic relationship oh to just dry you up and take your focus and take your your your
10:15discipline i i saw this the other day there's what there's this one girl and she said she she was
10:20begging god for a man and she's like god where's my husband god where's my husband i'm so lonely i'm
10:26so
10:26sad and she said that god replied to her and said you're sad because you don't do anything but worry
10:31about a
10:31man i was like that's so true like you're not sad and lonely because you don't have a man you're
10:39sad
10:39and lonely because all you do is worry about not having a man like what you are a person you
10:44are
10:44god created being with gifts talents and abilities you could be doing things you could be achieving
10:50things you could be going for dreams you could be experiencing things and she was and she said god
10:55told her the problem is not a man your problem is you and it's so true everything is going to
11:00be out
11:01here to take your focus whatever if i were god forbid the devil and i'm trying to ruin the human
11:07race
11:08100 i'm going after your brain i'm going after your focus anything i can do to distract you anything
11:14anything i can do so that you just never lock in you know so spend your time like money
11:22make it so valuable be like if i'm going to spend three hours here these must be a very important
11:30three hours if i'm going to spend four 40 minutes these must be a very important 40 minutes and it
11:37doesn't mean you're go go go go go go go go go all the time no no no no no
11:41it just means you spend
11:42your time wisely so many of us don't we worry about everything but anything that's going to help us and
11:49anything that's going to automatically affect our lives you know how many people are worried about
11:53the latest scandal the latest breakup the latest divorce who cheated on who he none of that has
11:58anything to do with you hailey bieber and just like none of these people have anything to do with you
12:06nothing to do with you you will never meet them chances are even if you do you'll never know them
12:12what the heck do you care about who justin and who hailey and who's you talk about a waste of
12:20time
12:20or whatever it is the latest show on netflix everybody's addicted i don't watch i don't have
12:25netflix so i don't know what everybody's watching but i think at one time everybody's watching bridgerton
12:29or um whatever's on there stranger things and you're just so the the amount of dedication you give
12:37to these shows you could have built an empire with that dedication you could have built apple an apple
12:43an apple competitor you could have built another wall street with the time and dedication that you
12:49give to things that don't matter at all so um i speak from a place of experience please don't think
12:55i'm speaking down on you every day god has to be like mary jay mary jay mary jay mary jay
12:59every day
13:00god does that to me every single freaking day the holy spirit has to go mary jay
13:08can i get your attention can we can we can we mature can we focus you tell me you want
13:14these dreams
13:15let's get to business you tell me you want peace you tell me you want uh blessings you tell me

13:21want success you tell me you want um whatever whatever it is let's get to business let's focus let's
13:27lock in together you know and it's like that's why i believe jesus said when he was talking to
13:34peter and peter was walking on water he told peter stop looking at the waves stop looking at the waves
13:40you're worried about everything else that you shouldn't be worried about stop looking at the
13:43waves stop looking at them put your eyes on jesus lock in with god you will be an unstoppable person
13:51stop looking this way and then this way and everything here has your attention but god and you
13:57you you this is one thing i want to end this video with the world is afraid of a locked
14:04in you
14:05the world is afraid of a focused you that's why the devil's doing everything to make that not happen
14:14he's doing everything to make you worried about this person and that person and this person and that
14:21girl and that man and that parent who hurt you and that ex who hurt you and that friend who
14:27didn't
14:27treat you right and this scandal on the internet and that and this and this and this news and this
14:32news and this political figure and that political figure and this whatever's going on the world on the
14:38other side of the world that'll never affect you in this war in this rumor and this
14:44meanwhile
14:48nothing you never go to work on yourself never you never tune out you have to tune out the world
14:54i'm
14:55sorry you have to this world is crazy your brain was not meant to handle everything all at once
15:02you put your eyes on god and you lock in and you're just like it's me and you god
15:07you're unstoppable when you stop worrying about other freaking people i'm sorry we worry about
15:16other people so much even if it's a romantic interest or a parent who hurt us or whatever
15:23you gotta let people go let them go let people go it's weighing on you it's weighing you down it's
15:32taking your focus i always have this visual in my head it helps me so much visualize this as much
15:38as you can this helps me so much visualize god looking at you and saying hey trying to get your
15:43attention because i mean that visual helps me every single day mary j mary j let's focus let's focus
15:50let's focus oh another four hours they're scrolling okay and the holy spirit just sits back like
15:58now all they want to do is scroll and then they get the holy spirit gets your attention like okay
16:03yeah let's let's go to work on your life and then another thing takes your attention oh they want to
16:07watch netflix for six four five six seven hours a day never mind and then they finally get your
16:14attention and they're like oh we have their attention and then another thing a man walks out on your life
16:19or something or a man hurts you and then you're all over the place ah and the holy spirit is
16:25just like
16:25all right here we go here we go here we go and then you pick up your bible to read
16:32and the holy
16:33spirit's like oh they have their bible they're gonna read and then something happens that hayley beaver and
16:39justin were spotted in japan and they were in an argument it's all over the news and then you're like
16:44ah and the holy spirit's just like
16:48why we can't get no work done here
16:52the world is scared the world can't handle a focused you what is your name i don't know what
16:57your name is on the other side of this screen but insert your name here please
17:02the world is scared or we could say the devil is scared of a focused boom your name brian

17:22nobody's focused we're all just like chickens like
17:27tiktok and wars and political like none of it is none of it is important to your life
17:36go to the gym go for a walk read a book journal write start something start a business anything
17:43go talk to god for four or five hours on a walk instead of scrolling
17:47go walk instead of eating and watching netflix get your mind out of that dopamine place that it
17:53always wants to be in every time you want to do something with your time say does this directly
17:57affect me does it have anything to do with me or can i give it to god and focus on
18:02me boom right
18:03there you'll be able to get so much accomplished you won't even know what to do with yourself
18:09all right that's my little tidbit i speak by the way you guys i'm always speaking from a place
18:13of experience i've never i'm never coming here to preach at you like i'm speaking from experience
18:20who am i speaking from experience every day god has to be like like a like a parent who's like
18:27focus
18:31don't you have dreams and goals and
18:35focus and your prayers will be answered so anyways i love you guys so much i hope you find
