00:00Marlins dropped their first game of the season.
00:02Oh, did they?
00:03Oh, my goodness.
00:05Wait a minute.
00:05So I was back and forth, and I have to be in and out of two different apps,
00:10which sucks.
00:13So I'm watching.
00:14I'm watching Marlins.
00:15I start watching the Marlins because I want to see what's up.
00:18Yep.
00:19And old Les Potters was on the mound throwing big old fat meatball subs.
00:26You're already calling him that?
00:27Yeah, Les Potters.
00:31It was like Looney Tunes around the bases.
00:40It was tough.
00:42And then not only that, but the Marlins, I mean,
00:45they made a whole to-do about his debut.
00:48I mean, did you see how he showed up to the game?
00:51No.
00:53So he did like the wide receiver from Buffalo that we used to have.
00:57Mack Hollins?
00:59Yeah.
01:03I can't believe I'm saying this.
01:05Yeah, almost like worse than that, though.
01:07Because Mack Hollins, we all know to be a show pony.
01:09I know Chris Paddock was at one point a Marlin, and it was a fleeting time.
01:15So he's back now, and he's hoping to, like, you know, rehab the career a little bit.
01:21But I think he set a record yesterday for most earned runs given up in a Marlins debut,
01:25which I thought immediately I thought was Matt Latos.
01:28But apparently we've had some stinkers.
01:32Here's the other thing.
01:33You want to know why?
01:35Because in most cases, this early in the season, he would have got pulled quicker than he did.
01:40I know.
01:41But it was bang, bang.
01:44It was just like, oh, wow.
01:46That was, he gave up a three-run tater tot, and then he gives up the grand slam.
01:51And you're just like, eee.
01:54That was less than I did.
01:56Now, in fairness, he did take ownership of it.
01:58He said, this game's on me.
01:59And I was like, oh, thanks, Chris.
02:01We know!
02:03We know!
02:05We know!
02:06It's like when the guy that fumbles the ball gets up and says, my bad.
02:10We know!
02:12This was, the Marlins put out, there's a new sheriff in town.
02:18Oh, no!
02:21Oh, no!
02:23He gives a new meaning to Wahey Coyote.
02:26Right?
02:27With even Marlins colors?
02:30Yep.
02:31Oh, my good.
02:32Dude, you cannot come to a game like that and throw meatballs.
02:35There is no way, absolutely not accepted.
02:38It's the closest with the boots for me.
02:40That's the one.
02:42It's the walking out.
02:42Where is he from?
02:44I don't even know, dude.
02:45I gotta be honest.
02:45No, he better not be from, like, someplace like New York.
02:51Chris Paddock.
02:52Where is he from?
02:52He's from Austin, Texas.
02:53He decks us.
02:54Okay, okay, okay.
02:55He's in Texas.
02:56Hey, so, he gets a little bit of a pass.
03:00Because we don't know what his normal, you know, attire or dress is.
03:06He might dress like a cowboy every time he pitches.
03:09Which, after that, I would give it up.
03:14I'd come in in joggers and a tank top next time.
03:17Yeah, you gotta put the close-up of the boot.
03:20It's just, like, that connotes, like, I'm here for business.
03:25Let's go.
03:25Is he driving a dually?
03:27I don't know what he is.
03:28I don't know what that is.
03:29That looks like a dually.
03:29Look at those big wheels on the front.
03:32Man.
03:34Well, I would assume Texas has got a big truck.
03:37I'm going to say this, that you got to change it up.
03:43You got to.
03:44Your next outing, you know, you got to come in a mini coupe.
03:49You got to come in some sweats.
03:52Like, you got to – they go, who is that?
03:55They're going to make you show ID every time you come into the stadium
03:58because they're not going to know who you are.
04:01No, you can't show up in a dually and a cowboy hat with boots
04:04with a suit that is team colors.
04:09Whew.
04:10The only thing that I appreciate –
04:11A for effort.
04:12Yeah, A for effort.
04:13I do appreciate after the game he didn't wear the cowboy outfit
04:16because that's the other mistake people make is they wear a ridiculous outfit
04:19and then they feel like they can't ask the equipment manager for a win.
04:22I committed.
04:23Yeah, you just – you can only wear that again if you win.
04:26And so I'm appreciative that at least, you know, he's like,
04:30you know what, I need to just go put the Marlins hoodie on after that one.
04:34Oh, yeah.
04:36Yeah.
04:36We know who – we still know who you are, buddy.
04:38Oh, yeah.
04:39I mean, look at that outfit.
04:42And then, I mean, my – and then the Marlins just –
04:47They were right into it.
04:49I understand.
04:50Listen, they were fired up.
04:51It was a Monday night.
04:53You know, they're 3-0.
04:54You're feeling good.
04:56Oh, yeah.
04:56They were like, we're ready to debut our new starting pitcher,
04:59new sheriff in town, Chris Paddock.
05:02Wouldn't be something if the next time he drives in, they say,
05:06now out of the bullpen.
05:14Hey, baseball, it don't take much for a pitcher to be long relief.
05:19Yeah, well, we'll see.
05:21We'll see.
05:22He's going to definitely need a much better effort from that.
05:24That was crazy.
05:25Marlins are back at it today.
05:26You can hear that game on 560 WQAM.
05:30Jansen Junk is on the hill tonight.
05:326-40 is your first pitch.
05:35So, we got that.
05:36And then, I believe they're in the afternoon tomorrow.
05:38I think they're on an afternoon game tomorrow.
05:41And then Thursday is the early time, in and out.
05:44No, I think Thursday they're off, and then Friday is an early one, too,
05:47because the Yankees, it's their home opener.
05:50Okay.
05:51Okay.
05:51That is what the fish got going on.
05:53And those will also, but we're not –
05:55Well, usually the home opener, they do, like, in, like, 7 o'clock,
06:01so everybody can get there.
06:02They don't usually do –
06:03I think a lot of people are off because of Good Friday.
06:08Good Friday, and don't they have, like, a –
06:12they have some other No Kings thing, too?
06:15Oh, I don't know about that.
06:16Yeah, I know, and for New York, I think they're –
06:20you know, they're used to – that's, like, their thing.
06:22They're going to do an opening day.
06:23You know, they're not going to do an opening night.
06:25No, I got you.
06:25You know, they're not going to do an opening night.
06:25You know, they're going to do an opening night.
